Thanks all who responded I can't belive there wasan't more responces?
Has general support became a allmost lost part of Lymenet?
It was the place were all the original Lymenet people were.
I guess I have not been around as much as i used to be.Life has changed for me a lot.
Crap, despite the Lyme i am getting old ,soon to be 60.
How did that happen??????????

I think OFF TOPIC is the lost area.
in other forums I have been in off topic is always a great source for really getting to know people and discussion.
here it is a desert.
too bad.
there are many lyme people starving for love and attention and interaction.
on lymenet it is usually so serious and the void isnn't filled for those wanting or needing more.
people should really post in off topic. it would be so much fun!

I also think , being kind of new here sort of, that most people post in MEDICAL. and that is where you get the most responses whether it's appropriate place for your query or not.
when I first came here to lymenet I was desperate and I found the MEDICAL area got the most posts . I think when the large percentage of people come here they are desperate too and don't have time to linger in the more non emergent areas.
and when they get better they leave.
so that is why General and OFF TOPIC are not as popular.
that is just my observation

Hey, Maddog! Thanks for the great howl. I was off visiting relatives and enjoying lots of catching up, or I would have responded sooner.
So… Now it's time to say Happy New Year, you old dog, you!

That is an interesting thought....old in lyme years. And isn't it true. Like dog years maybe, l year in human is 7 years in dog. Wondering what the ratio is in lyme years.

Good to see everyone answering this post old to Lyme and new lyme people.
That is a interesting thing to figure out (Lyme years).
Well it is about black powder deer season here. It is supposed to rain for two of the 3 days.Freezing rain saturday chance 100%.
I will have a piece of duct tape over the barrel but I have to figure out how to keep the cap dry?
I will walk to the woods then sit on my fold out stool,if I can keep it dry. What is worse (WET BUTT) or (WET POWDER)??
MADDOG P.S. I never see any deer during any gun season. They hide!!!!!I can't blame them!!!

I have forgotten how to keep the cap dry too....
I went to a...dang..can't spell the word I want...it is a camp out for those dressed like the 1800's with tools and guns etc of that time period.
Fun.
It is nowing here. Our first good snow of the season.
I kind of want to be out in it but hair is wet and health is even more droopy. Let it snow.

Merry Christmas, everyone!! I've missed you! We left for Texas on Christmas Day and had a great time over the weekend. Then Sunday night I got the stomach virus and was horribly ill. Bleah. Lost 10 pounds already.
The good news is that I went out to eat Saturday night with my brother and sister in law and cousin. (Hubby has the flu) . A friend from high school recognized me from my Facebook picture and came over to our table. She had been sitting right next to us!! We have not seen each other in 45 years!!
She lives in Los Angeles, I'm in Missouri and we meet in a city of 5 million people! (Houston) just so happens that her son lives a few miles from where my brother lives. We only spoke for a few minutes and neither of us thought to get a picture!!
I had hoped to connect with her this week and then I got sick.
We will go to see my father in law in South Texas tomorrow.

Last 2 nights here was about 10 BELOW ZERO. Yesterday had a balmy TWO degrees for a high.
Today wind chill was zinging out of the west at 20 to 30 mph and heard we were as low as 35 below feels like temps.
Just got off the phone with my uncle and cousins from Key West Florida. Its 74 there tonight.
tell me WHY I live here again please???

Just Don....I'd remind you, but have no idea of what possessed you to brave such cold temps. Brrrrr. Below the donut, is what forecasters in ND used to call temps that fell below zero. Brrrrrrrr. My first day there was -30 F, before windchill. Brrrrrrrrrrr. Didn't think I'd survive there. Figured I'd be found in in a melting snowbank , come spring, if spring ever came. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Stay warm. And inside.

Dilly,
Ever hear of the oldest song in the books??
I owe, I owe,,,,
So off to work I go.
Problem is at 4:30 AM the snow plows havent woke up yet
The roads are sometimes a sheet of ice,,,or worse 6-8 inches of unplowed snow which you are plowing with your car
sometimes sideways,,,but generally cant see the marks on the covered road so NO idea where you are on it.
Get closer and plows are just starting , therefore there are foot windrows to dodge
3 of the last 5 days were white knuckle driving fun.
My idea of a commute is walking across the street,,,not 20 miles down the road,
Then I work another job and sometimes get home at 9:30 PM so I can get up at 3:30 AM again and start over.
First job is 6 days a week,,,second is 3 or 4 days a week but usually all run together,
Its a dogs life,,,so you cant weaken
