Happy New Year!! (almost)

Did anyone make any resolutions?

My goal is 5 days a week of at least 20 minutes of exercise. But in reality I know I will just take one day at a time.

Have a great week.

no goals here. Well, I always have goals, so no special goals for new years usually.

I play 2 games of Scrabble last night with friend. so fun. I used to never be able to beat her the last few years, but now I can and did! twice! I think it is my tx that now lets me regain some wordage and vocab.

she was so mad, hahaaaahaaaa

today I finally feel more energy. I am paying bills, which I hate to do, and doing laundry, calling places I need to call, still have plenty of left overs so I won't have to cook, yay- love that!

let's see what else I can get done......

Successful morning. Able to get dressed, take Rosie for short trip to dog park.

Went to Bashas but there deli food was not ready.

Drove to Head to Toe place to see about suggestions for the senior center director who helped us out and the other two at the senior center too that did so much

Drove to Safeway and their deli was ready so have food for today

STopped by mechanic to see if they were the ones that replaced the motor in the drivers side window last time

They were. It was in 2011.

They were able to get the window up. But said it may not stay up. HOping it stays up as we have rain and snow comng this week.

He said it was due to the opening and closing of the car door that weakens the system. It is the drivers side door and the only door Rosie and I use most of the time so makes sense...but still...I would like to see things last longer.

All in all a successful morning..espceaill the window part as far as getting it back up.

So cold out and the smell of the exhaust was so awful coming in the driver side window..worse than the cold.

FElt sick after getting the food and heading out to the car. In and out oof grocery store in est 15 min but still too much for the brain and body ..used elec cart.

Feel sick now but know I will be better once i lay here awhile.

Could not get brain organized so just went with it...step by step...do this...then what now God..tried this..or that

Glad I know who fixed the window last time...doesn't matter but it did to my memory ...i wanted to know.

I wanted to remember.

Not that I will have them fix it again.

AS long as it stays up I am going to put that expense on the back burner.

I have 4 estimates now on what it would cost to fix. They are all about the same.

Ahhh . Another break. I orderd 200 from vitacost. I have gone without so long. I am also using up a lot of stuff so i didnt have to buy all i needed. Im using tumeric drops instead of curcumin pills. I dont like the drops. I think the reason i dont get stronger from exercise is i run out of coq10. I think it is mito issue

My eyes are so bad today i have to retype everything

Now im ready for physical part of my day. I hope this house looks a little different in an hour!

Its sad but having you guys tolerate me keeps me sane

Hi everyone! So sorry that I haven't posted in a long time. I'm a regular on this post but went through a real rough spot when I had to put my black lab, Rocky to sleep.

I haven't been able to really get back to any type of exercise lately. I've realized that maybe my adrenals have been negatively affected and have trouble recovering after a cardio workout.

So this coming up year my resolution is to try weight training. Going to break out my old 'Buns of Steel' tapes, yes I said tapes and actually try using them.

Alas my stairclimber will still be my livingroom towel rack for now.

I've been thinking off and on about you guys and have missed you all.

Sorry it took me so long to recover.

AK--So glad you are back.

What happened about the lyme rash you had and you thought you were rebitten?

LP--get your son-in-law to deal with the bed. If he is a strapping 6'3" he can fix it-LOL. He might even be glad to have something to do while you and your daughter chat.

I did the errand "thing" today. Returned my sister-in-law's generous gift as it the bedspread did not fit. Got a gift card and ordered a new bedspread online on sale and had enough money leftover to get myself a new table top grill for the kitchen and a new belt for my pants. Can't wait for it to arrive in the mail.

Went to the chiropractor, to the library, and got gas. Saw it went up on the east side of town by 25 cents, but it was still $1.93 near my house, so I filled up.

Am heading to the basement now to ride the exercise bike.

Wow you guys, I missed you too!

Kayak-I'm sending you a great big (((hug)))! Hang in there and enjoy your time with your family!

Hiker-My GP gave me some antibiotics which I took and I haven't done anything else. Am hoping for the best or in denial. Am having some fatigue issues but no overtly noticeable neuro symptoms.

BTW, hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was very busy. Got off work at 1:30 Christmas eve. Made a cheese ball the day before. Had cheese ball and crackers, chicken wings, pigs in a blanket and mini cheesecake squares on Christmas eve. Made a brined turkey and dressing for Christmas dinner and nephew made the other sides. Back to work the next day.

Needless to say, I'm tired.

Lisa Sounds like a very nice day

Good to see you posting ALW

Still kind of in bewilderment...

A friend stopped by and we went out to where I take Rosie.

I loaded up the power chair. We were gone about an hour. Part driving, part cruising in power chair and part being on the trail.

WE talked off and on while on the trail and while I was cruising in the power chair.

I am still amazed I was able to do this and am not sure why but hope it continues.

FRiend taped up my window on the car...local mechanic was able to get window up but said it might fall back down.

We are expecting snow on Wed and Thursday so hoping window stays up.

Laid in recliner after the outing and was in and out of sleep for about 2 hours.

Kind of out of it now still but that is OK.

Omg...long day. I cleaned bathroom except for floor and shower.

Neighbor came over and took down shower xurtin for me and while she cleaned shower i put new shower curtun on and emotional d fridge.

Then she put curtin back-no way i could do that with this shoulder

And she wiped out fridge. I paid her and was glad to. No way could i do either of those things

She also put out garbage and moved an extra rv i coulsnt lift

I put a few things back in fridge and im resting...will put the rest baxk later

The bathroom looks really good. The new curtin is tan and white with some dark grey-it looks like many shells on the beach and matcgs rug and walls

And its so nice to have fridge clean

I thought my daughter was coming tomorrow for two or three days...they said they want ed to help me. But she jyst texted they wont come til wed p m and they have to spend some time in anotgher town about 40 min away...she still wont say when they are leaving. Im.not sure when-how to plan food...im glad my house is getting clean tho.

kayak....it is nice to have things clean. I was thinking I needed to change my shower curtain too.

A lady is coming on Wednesday...maybe...to clean the bathroom.

Caregiver is coming for an hour this am.

Tring to decide what to do...

Boxes in bathroom still need to be sorted and put away. Boxes in front room still need to be sorted and ut away.

Snow on Wednesday so need something to protect new carpt that was laid from the power chair coming in and bringing snow, mud, dirt, rain, etc.

HOping health is doing well enough I can go to home deopot or walmart to look around or ace hardware..doubt ace would have anything...very small store

and i still need food in the frig.

and in my stomach. i have not done a very good job of eating since coming back to apartment ...i need to do better.

i am trying.

it seems if i am active, i don't have what it takes to eat..too worn out and can't swallow etc.

so hoping to get the boxes sorted and put away so i can focus more on eating.

as i am typing this i am thinking eating needs to come first. boxes can wait which they have been since the 23rd.

i guess the thing to focus on today is food and getting something to protect the new carpets...

maybe an office chair pad or large entry way rug that grips the floor as the power chair wheels eat up rugs

someone with a power chair said to get the fake grass stuff and staple it down on some ply wood outside on the patio entry way..that way the dirt, snow and stuff would come off before coming in the house

I like that idea but not sure if it would work or how costly it would be

i could have the hope deopot people staple things down maybe

i also need to allow room for the screen door to open outwards...as I am tping this I realized that would not work because of the screen door ..i can not even put a regular mat in front of screen door as there is no room between cement and screen door flap.

Laying here typing wtih eyes closed. Need to find way to lower the brightness of the screen

Need to get up and see how i do with getting dressed.

Able to go to wwalmart and get a throw carpet to protect the new carpets from the power chair wheels/snow, mud, etc

put it inside the front door. Still a make do solution. We'll see how it works out.

Power chair wheels eat carpets for lunch.

With caregivers help put the shelves up on bookshelves and most of the books back.

Still counted 14 boxes to sort thru...kind of confused as i thought i was done to a dozen last time i counted on the 23rd.

but at least able to get some stuff towards declutter done.

had breakfast and took meds. resting now. then will have lunch and take meds.

kept having to rest while trying to sort thru boxes and be at walmart...keep getting over heated and feeling like i was going to throw up along with the heart pounding...too much stress on the body

but did a little, rested and then did a little more

windows are open. i know it is cold out today..but with me being over heated the fresh air feels good right now

10 am most likely will need to lie here for a couple of hours to recover

caregiver is over worked. So trying to find things that seh can do that is mindless for her.

PUtting up the shelves worked today and the boooks.

I had a list of kitchen chores for her to do on the board but she didn't see them and wanted to hel with getting things in order so that woked out better.

I got home at 8:15 am. I let her know i was running late. Told her when I was home.

She continued to sit in the car another 30 min before she came in...said she didn't see me come in or understand the text i am here.

She is a nice person and treats me like a friend. I try and do the same.

I am concerned about her. She works nights at a 7 11 type of store and then 35 hours a week during caregiver type of stuff.

kayak...yes i think there was mold in the air/heating system.

They condemned the bldg once they started pulling the dry wall off.

i am guessing they did not like what they found

I also was able to hire someone to come in a clean a bit. She is scheduled to come tomorrow and finish cleaning

She said the water in the kitchen sink turned black.

I know she washed the top of the cabinets off in the kitchen and wiped down the cabinets.

She also was able to oil the bookshelves and dust them

She was trying to get things cleaned up that might cause my nose to run all the time I was in the apartment.

I like clean and organized but health was not doing well enough to do that.

So feels good to almost be there now.

Plus the carpets were awful in here.

And I tossed the bed and gave the couch away. Cost more to have it cleaned than it was worth

Well, no exercise today. Nephew is coming to spend the night tomorrow. We're going to see new Hobbit movie in 3D for new year's.

So tonight after work the plan is to wipe down my bathroom, get a crock pot casserole ready to roll in the morning and I think that's it.

Not up to snuff yet, think I'm getting a sinus infection again. Had food poisoning over the weekend and just ate a kid's meal grilled cheese from Zaxby's. Hope I haven't signed my own death warrant.

See you all tomorrow!

Kam--sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished!

Hope you can work stuff out with State Farm Insurance. Sounds like a poor agent. I have State Farm and never have had problems with them, but have only dealt with car problems.

Matter of fact State Farm has its national headquarters in my town.

AK--hope you feel better and enjoy The Hobbit with your nephew.

LP--What's with children these days? I cherish my parents too much to come a day later than I tell them.

Chilly here today--about 15 degrees, but it was sunny and not too windy, so I braved the cold and walked outside. Not too often I can do that in the winter as we usually have ice or a lot of wind.

Boxed up some items to take to the thrift store. I have a lot of unused Christmas mugs that my students give me and a few other items I never use. Might as well donate them. Wish I had done it two months ago.

Need to clean out cabinets in the kitchen, but that may wait until another day.

When caregiver came she asked me how my Christmas was.

My brain went blank and then I recalled this is where I say it was good how was yours. [Smile]

Tried to work at sorting thru the boxes some more but just too out of it. I get mad which doesn't help.

Then realize I need to lay back down and try again in an hour.

I did put some nicknacks in hot sudsy water to get the dust off of them.

I thought I had a thrift shop box going but couldn't find it so started a new one.

I don't know if I mentioned it but neighbor was given an eviction notice to move in 10 days if she did not make her apartment more fire proof and get all the clutter out.

She has been working on it since Dec 15. There are more boxes on her patio today and I can hear her in her closet right now scraping and moving things

I have seen people move out a lot of stuff in these small bedroom apartments but she gets the prize for the most stuff.

I am wondering if she didn't dig a hole somewhere and was putting stuff under her apartment.

Just kiddin. She has more stamina than I have...she just keeps at it.

Kam your posts are starting to soundlike mine from the kast 8 months

It scares me i have so much clutter...i often almost fall on it and wonder if it would make a fire worse

I wish i could jyst toss it all but impt things are mixed with junk so it seems i need to go thru it all

Getting ready for kids to come has made me realkt push to sort and organize and get rid of stuff...and house is cleaner...but i have worn myself out to tears

Late today my daughter said she would arrive after 1 the 31st and leave the 1st. I think she will be here less than 24 hrs. Im trying to just be ok with it. I only see her once a year and weeks go by without any communication. It wont help for me to be upset. It wull just keep her away more

Hiker...i dont understand it either. But they all are so busy with work and inlaws.

I got the results from biopsy. No cancer yet but pos barretts esophagus a mildly precancerous condition

I now am pos for 3 precancerous conditions and they are watching a few other areas

If this new one turns to cancer there is a five year life span and im.really not ready

I know this is a huge wake up call to get my life straightened out and find joy where i can and stop wishing things with kids were different.

House is still a mess and i cant do more. Neighbor worked an.hour last night and one tonight. I ran ti store and got a few things...but it really is not ready for company...but it is what it is. I need a shower and etra needs a bath and besides that...whatever happens happens

Its the first very cold night. Single digits. Feels like its just coming thru the walls

Nite

Had a good morning as far as being able to do a little, rest and then do some more. But, brain is flared up now so resting.

Hope it goes away. Kind of need to get up and get an ice pack but it takes too much out of me to move the keyboard and screen off of my legs so I rest now

IN a bit I will get up.

Bathroom is getting a good cleaning. It has not had a good cleaning since I moved in. Can't recall the ladies name but glad she is here.

Rosie and I got a shower before she came. I can smell Rosie from here. She is laying on the cot next to my bed.

It is not a bad smell. I just would prefer another scent so need to get some other dog shampoo next time.

Rosie changed colors when I gave her a shower. [Smile]

Kayak..your post sounds good to me. I understand wearing yourself out to tears.

Looking forward to reading about moments of joy

I did see on FB or the news that some areas are having below 0 temps.

one digit temp is cold enough for me. :0

kayak, I don't know why kids do what they do. I am sorry your daughter doesn't make more time for you but we all have our reasons I guess. how old is she?

I really feel your pain.

my 80 some year old parents drove here 5 hours to see my nephew who is home after one year of intense training in air force for special ops.

my sister planned a nice party then all her other kids got sick. my dad just got over double pnuemonia so my parents said theyy couldn't go to my sister's house.

no one wanted to go with 3 of her 5 kids very ill and coughing all over the place! she cancelled.

I offered my home so nephew could come here and everyone else come too and not get sick, but she said no thanks becauise the other sick kids would be 'sad'......

my parents offered to pick up the grandson they longed to see an dtake him to dinner, but my sister wouldn't allow it!

it's all just nuts.

so now no one saw him.

and off he goes into service and we may never see him again.

[Frown]

today I am baking more. please don't ask me why. I gained 8 pounds this last week!!!

me and hubby are staying home. cooking venison tenderloin and large shrimp.

I am trying to make more calls and pay past due bills.

I feel no motivation to create anything to sell. not good. my lease runs out at craft place today. owner said I can keep it for another month without a lease if I want. maybe I will and mark it all sale 50% off.

LisaK--If you have a webpage with your crafts, would you pm me the link, please?

I went to one grocery store this morning and to the organic food store--will hit up my regular store on Friday. I forgot how crowded it would be on New Year's Eve.

Rode the exercise bike for the length of 5 Christian pop songs (24 minutes). I have to listen to music or I will go crazy with boredom.

I wanted to walk outside again as it is sunny, but the wind is fierce and we are in single digits. Maybe tomorrow.

I have a friend coming over tonight. We will not stay up until midnight. She does not like shrimp (serious bummer), so I will have cheese and crackers, a few nuts or chips for her. I suspect she will drink tea.

I will toast you all with my gluten free beer this evening. (or perhaps an after dinner liqueur such as Kahlua, Bailey's Irish Cream, or Peppermint Schnapps. I rarely have occasion to drink any of those.) [Big Grin]

Cheers. [hi]

4:30 am took 2 excedrin

6 am now...doesn't seem like excedrin is helping but do not know how i would feel without taking it.

time to get dressed and take Rosie otu to toilet. The cold air helps the inflamed brain.

But, getting around in the power chair is tricky ...not ready to drive yet either as roads are icy.

Had little to no traction in power chair yesterday unless I was on a cleared sidewalk....so was limited on where i could go and for how far..just up and down in front of apartment complex.

Rosie had difficulty finding a place to do her business. [Smile]

Geri, who i think is 87 years old, was scraping snow off of my car this am with her broom at dark thirty.

I got up and tried to clean some more off but it was too much for me..i felt like was going to toss my cookies.

Geri, came back and started cleaning some more off of my car saying that she didn't like to leave a job undone...

i wasn't sure it was her this am at dark thirty. i knew for sure now it was here.

thankfully another neighbor came by and told her she would clean the car off so to sit down.

geri got here in her walker with a seat so sat on the seat.

it was snowing this am too.

i hadn't planned on going for a drive this am but with all this ta do going on with my car decided i best get in it and go for a drive.

Not able to take the usual route to the dog park as the car couldn't make it up the small incline due to the ice on the road so back on down.

i knew i wouldn't be able to make it to the forest area as i have tried that incline in the past and that didnt' work out.

went down the main street of town to get to the dog park. but when i got there decided it would nto be wise to park...i might not be able to get out of the snow.

So kept following the path that a city plow truck had made in the bigger park ...let Rosie out and she finally was able to do her business...i stayed in the car and drove as she ran a bit.

Came home and fell asleep. Wore me out. I was stressed being on the roads this am. The old song about being a low rider kept running thru my mind.

Take it slow and I also sit in the car like a low rider as the body has trouble holding itself upright.

Saw the AZDOT big Plow Equipment on the main road. Saw the city trucks with a plow hooked on the front of them for the city roads and when i got back in the parking lot an old jeep like vehicle was plowing the parking lot at the apartments.

Someone had also cleared the sidewalks here at the apartments.

WE got more snow than I ever recall getting. But, most of it will be gone with the warmth of the snow this afternoon.

Hoping to get food in the house tomorrow morning if health is doing well enough.

Happy New Year! Kam--sounds like a now adventure to start of 2015.

I slept in this morning--probably my last day to sleep in before going back to work.

Took down my Christmas decorations and reorganized them into boxes that I labeled with numbers, so I know which ones to grab first next year.

Rode the exercise bike 25 minutes.

Now am reading and watching football.

Good idea to organize the boxes Hiker.

Drove as far as I could out to the place i go in the forest. One positive thing about that housing tract is that the roads are being cleared now due to homes being built here and there.

i wasn't able to get to my usual place though even though there is a home there.

so went to another place and got stuck in the snow. Tried calling AAA on my phone but could not find the number. This iphone is very tricky with contact info

my friend kept entering info for me and then we couldn't find the numbers.

I have yet to figure it out myself. She has an iphone herself and hers works differently.

I also was not able to google...i tried updating google when they asked and wasn't able to awhile back.

now i don't have google need to look into that

suri and i rarely understand each other. she pulled up a list of towing services in phoenix

i figured i could call them and maybe they could make the AAA contact for payson...called the number she pulled up and the number was no longer in service.

brain was barely working.

A van drove by and I asked them if they could call AAA for me. He said he thought he could get me out.

He did. Whewph. Just in time as my shelf life was fading fast.

I did not take my purse with me as I got in the habit of not taking it when I wasn't able to lock the car.

Need to get back in the habit of taking it now that the window is taped shut.

The beauty was awesome driving on the road. Everything looked so different and some magical covered with whiteness.

The mountains to the north were covered. The rim is covered. I did not check the mtns to the west but guessing they are covered too.

WAsn't doing well enough to take pics. Hoping I am doing well enough tomorrow to put on my snow boots and go for a 6 min walk on the trail in the forest.

Seems I need to choose whether to get food tomorrow or go for the walk.

Tough decision. I do think the snow will be there tomorrow evening and the day after in the am

People are still grumbling about our refrigerators being emptied and wanting to get food back in them.

They do think management should have made an allowance for the food. Electricity had to be turned off because of the water damage.

I will just be glad when I have food in the frig again and the health to get it. I have made several very short trips but did not last long.

Just long enough to get some chicken baked from the deli and some salads.

Most likely will do that again.

While out toileting Rosie in the power chair I saw my neighbors using dust pans, mops, brooms and a bedspread to get the snow off of their cars.

I found that humorous. One lady did have a magnetic black cloth that she put over her windshield to keep the ice off of it.

I like that idea. She is going to try and find the thingamajig she ordered it from...

It wears me out scraping the ice off of the car using up resources I need for just driving.

Kam--Glad you got out of the snow. Hate to think of you in the freezing cold.

I would opt for getting food tomorrow! You will need the energy to do a walk!

Have a good evening.

Actually getting food is more difficult than being on my feet.

Brain is weird as is body on what things I can do and can't do and when.

Getting food can be very stressful on the system as there is more multi tasking needed.

But, yes. need to be strong enough to be on my feet to be on the trail and need brain on line.

eyes open at 4:30 am. 6 am now. Vision is blurred when i try to look at computer screen.

So typing with eyes closed.

Next step is to get up and get dressed adn get Rosie out to toilet via the power chair. Maybe pick up poop if snow has melted enough to find it.

Need to get AAA number on iphone. I know it is there somewhere but sure could not find it in the contacts yesterday. This iphone is weird.

Friend put in numbers several times for me but when we went to find them se could not.

Need to stop by cell phone place and see if they wil help me with why google will not work now on iphone.

taht would have helped yesterday too.

But, yes. Getting foood is top on the list of to do things..even if it is just to be in and out for 10 min as normal...heading to safeway deli if health allows.

bashas deli doesn't seem to be ready at the early hours.

1st....see how i do with trying to get dressed.

need to take a couple of excedrin. hoping that will help get brain on line

also need to see if i have ice on the windshield of the car and if I am strong enough to scrape it off.

tried to order something on line to put on windshield to keep ice and snow off but so far brain has not beeen well enough to do so

need something for the back windshield too but not sure how that is going to work.

front windshield thing i saw wraps around and you open your doors to keep it in place.

nothing with the back windshield to open and help keep it in place..SUV so it is straight up and down too. Window opens from bottom if that is working so that would not hold something in place.

near by auto parts store moved to another location. need to find them and ask. i have de icer spray.

just thinking via keyboard as cog fog this am

Happy New Year everyone!

Took my tiny tree and ornaments down yesterday and other Christmas knick knacks. Took about 15 minutes. I don't put a whole lot of effort into decorating for the holidays. I used too though.

My nephew took down the outside Christmas lights for me. Yeah!

Me, hubs, nephew, neice, stepdaughter and her baby all went to the Chinese buffet.

Boy, I need to start getting some exercise!

I remenber when i was teaching if i didnt take the tree down new years day it might not get down tul.february vacation,..so after one year of that happening i always took it down on new years day

My daughter and her hubby and schnauzer dog-human left. They visited, ate and appreciated the food, shopped and did so many thingss that will make life easier including organizing the carport so i can get the truck in so i dont have to hurt my shoulder clearing snow off it and putting up a construction light in the carport. It is close to impossible to change bulbs on lights that are there so it has been dark for a long time.

We had a lot of food but most of it very healthy so i am enjoying the leftovers

Im.also sleepy. I hald off neurontin the first day they were here but tri gemcame back so i had to start taking it again

Seems like the holidays went way too fast.

lp--glad you enjoyed your daughter's visit and that she and her husband could help you with some chores!

AK---Chinese food sounds good. I'm impressed you even put up outside Christmas lights. I never have.

Kam--hope you made it to the deli. Does your car not have a defrost for the windshield?

It might take awhile, but should melt the ice, so you don't have to scrape so much.

I dragged a few things to electrical recycling this morning. Stopped by the library and the grocery store. Grocery had not gotten a shipment in today, so I did not buy much. Need to get some lettuce or spinach and vegetables.

Freezing rain coming tonight and tomrrow, but today was warm enough to walk outside a bit.

Time for tea and then the energy healing session.

Friday. Kind of confused as to what day of the week it is so just looked.

I don't think I recorded what I did today.

I did just wake up from a nap. It is 2:30 pm.

I had not expected to fall asleep but glad I did. I needed it.

Able to get a few groceries...enough for today's food at Safeway.

Then a friend brought over some more groceries so I am good for this weekend.

Vitacost order came today. Have yet to put it away.

Cat litter came today..it broke open so clean up is going to be a bit more than normal with it.

Caregiver found Rosie's long leash so able to get her out to toilet.

CAregiver also put the shower curtain and towels in the wash. I took the towels out.

cAregiver took the shower curtain out and hung it up. Shower curtain shrunk so having water stay inside the shower is going to be even more tricky now.

Little to no lip on shower floor.

Lots to do around here but for now my next task is to eat and take Rosie out again.

FEed dog and cat again. Feed them twice a day.

And see if I can get the cat litter in the container...both storage for cat litter and refresh cat litter in box.

I would really like to go for a walk in the snow in the forest but another hour or so to see if I can do that.

Wish I had someone to go with me.

Talked with one neighbor who was the go between at the hotel kind of...she was really not given much info from managment here.

She is willing to collect the checks to allow those at the senior center to made sure we had a roof over our heads and meals and helped with moving things back in

But, doesnt' feel people will be writing a check out to the local head to toe salon as she feels they dont' ahve the funds.

There were 30 of us. If each of us wrote a check for $10 they would have the funds to get a massage and something else done..hair, nails, pedicare, etc.

So hoping it goes well. Next step is to get a note to the 30 people about it.

I have not heard from manager about it so assume she is just going to ignore my email on the subject or perhaps put it in the newsletter as requested.

Kam--is the shower curtain bar one that could be lowered so the curtain can go lower?

If you go for a walk pretend that I am with you.

To picture me: I am 5'3", petite and slim, in my 50's, with straight short brown hair.

I will be wearing my navy blue turtleneck, my University of Illinois sweatshirt, blue jeans, my hiking boots, and my bright blue LL Bean winter jacket.

I will pick you up in my bright blue Honda Civic unless you prefer to drive your SUV. I can picture us walking, talking, and laughing.

Blessings.

Ah. Hiker. Thank you. I will need to re read your description to help me as cog fog right now.

No. I can not adjust the bar.

I was just looking on Amazon for xl shower curtains. Need to find my measuring tape.

Kind of able to put more dishes in the DW and put hot sudsy water in the kitchen sink to soak some other dishes.

And unpack the vitacost box...have yet to check the list as vision was not working well..but think it is what i ordered...detox tea, bedtime tea, licorice tea. [Smile]

And some soup.

Able to pick up a refill. Next step is to start mail refills.

Able to get the cat litter in the container and dump the old litter out of the litter box and put new litter in....that was tricky as the litter is very heavy.

Dumped litter on the floor too as the bag had burst open so littter was in the box too.

Looking forward to a good nights sleep tonight with my bedtime tea. [Smile]

WE made it thru the week. Congratulations to us.

4:30 am excedrin

7:00 am. Getting up to get dressed .yes. Dressing is still exercise and wears me out.

Last i checked it was 14 degrees out. But, I do need to get Rosie out to toilet. Still dark out.

It will not be light out for another hour.

Lots on my mind to do today. The day will see just how much I am able to do that is on my mind.

I was able to send an email to Southwest MObility to see what my options are for the motor that is going out on my power chair.

1. Will phoenix advantage medicare provide a new power chair??

2. If not, how much would it cost to replace motor? And small tires on back?

INflamation in brain even with the excedrin but usually feel better when I am out in the cold as far as the brain goes..body not so much.

Thankful I have the other power chair but tires need replacing on it too..they are very smooth..no traction...especially in the snow...no go.

Bigger chair will not fit on lift for car either.

One step at a time.

8:00 am Cog Fog Brain

Able to get Rosie out to toilet via the large power chair. Need to plug in chair to charge when able.

Able to type out letter and send it to the person who has the list of the 30 people who stayed at the hotel....hoping to collect some funds to give gift certificate to the staff at the senior center that made sure we had a roof over our heads and meals.

I did get dressed this am. Same clothes I have worn for several days.

HOping to be able to do more today. Very stiff and sore. Guessing it also has something to do with falling on my back yesterday...but difficult to know with lyme and company.

Hi everyone.

I have been having a rough patch.

involving kids mostly.

I really hate parenting some times.

yesterday I went to store to pick up a curtain panel that matches the one I have already. I hung it a couple months ago to see which one I liked. and while at store I found clearnce section and got 2 different ones.

I got a double rod to hang shears behind the panels, so now I have to hang the rod and that will probably be my exercise for this day.

Here's my Saturday so far gang.

Up at 7 doing laundry. Going to make a couple fried eggs to go with my leftover prime rib from last night. Then on to vacuuming all the dog hair from my nephew's dog.

Have to iron my clothes for the week and tidy up the house.

Also will squeeze in coloring my gray hair and trying to remove these darn acrylic nails I had put on for my Christmas party this year.

They looked really fabulous but I can't really text or type with them on. They've got to go!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ak...it sure sounds like whatever that tick gave you...you have gotten rid of!

I had trouble sleeping mostly from pain i think and im just getting up now and feel like i was hit by a truck

It surprises me cuz i had very little pain the two days the kids were here. I wonder if it was adrenelyn cuz im so nervous when they are here

They got home to their dads safe 4 hrs away and have another 90 min to go today to get back to nyc. My son with the baby is bringing his wife to a show for her bday and my daughter will babysit - thatkind of stuff makes me so happt. They fought so much when they were kids

Slept in this morning. Finally dragged myself up, took a much needed shower, and made gluten free blueberry muffins.

Now, I am roasting chicken breasts in the oven.

Hope to do some exercise today, but don't have a lot of "oomph."

I think knowing I have to go back to work Monday after 2 wonderful weeks away from school has taken the wind out of my sails.

I did get in my exercise bike time.

I am actually proud of myself. I started at the beginning of December with 10 minutes and today I did 26 minutes.

I probably won't go past 30 as my Achilles tendon and knee complain.

I would like to do some weights for my arms, but my shoulder is still trashed from all the shoveling last year and I am afraid to push it.

I feel mentally so much better if I can exercise. Probably the release of endorphins. Hope I can keep it up when I go back to work Monday.

Time to make some peppermint mocha coffee--decaf with a tiny bit of cocoa and part of a candy cane. Then Illini basketball on T.V. and reading.

The laundry can wait until tomorrow. I will need to get out the flannel sheets then.

We have rain right now, but turning to snow and then into the deep freeze.

Drove rosie out to the forest area. It put a smile on my face to walk a few feet in my snow boots.

But, I was wise and listened to my body. Did not go far at all.

Backed car out so I did not get stuck this time trying to turn around.

Rosie ran while I drove on the plowed road.

When I was leaving the fire department showed up. There is an electrical smell in the hallways.

They were gone when I came back.

But, it looks like we have something in the walls. As things are going bump in the middle of the night.

I am guessing a skunk or racoon got in and is not able to get out now.

I thought it was my neighbor decluttering her closet in the middle of the night. She woke up me up several times.

But, then the neighbor above me said she thought there was an animal waking her up in the middle of the night.

So I asked my neighbor and she said no...she hsn't been cleaning out her closet in the middle of the night.

Guessing the wire smell is also related to something in the walls.

I was going to tell the fire men if they were still here when i got back and confirmed it was not my neighbor going bump in the middle of the night.

Now, we will have to wait until the maintenance guys come I guess. Maybe I will call it in.

Not sure whose department this would be..but having an electircal fire would not be good.

Kam, I hope it's not something chewing the wires!!

years ago I knew someone that had one of those giant lizards. it got loose and she couldn' find it. well..... as you may know, these lizards grow according to diet and habitat size. one day she saw it in a hole in the closet wall and it was about 3 ft long!!! Yow

That is hard to figure out kam. I know first hand. the sound of the thump, whether they happen during the day or the night are hints of what goes on... chewing and knawing also would be a hint usually they get in the houses around plumbing but it sounds like may be opening up where you consistently hear the sound and looking for dropping s or or trying to trap them would help
