It doesnt make sense to shovel...it will just blow back

Only a few elec outage in state and they are fixed but MA is a mess. Steve lives down there but he hast been here much. Hope hes ok

Biggest problem is idiots going out for joy rides. I think there is 300. Fine but they keep going out

I didnt fall asleep til 2. It had just started to snow. And i just
woke up now. Need to get my meds

This goes on til 4 a m wed.

Am enduring the storm as best we can.

Bright blue skies.

Temp about 60

Gee this is rough

When we get a foot of snow we call it

"March"

Hahahaha... I think that's about right, don!! We are all sitting here asking each other when winter will begin. Several have said, "March!"

I suspect that February will be a different story.

It's 63 and sunny here.

No fair! But no complaints...i still have power. I ventured out and saw my shoveler left a shovel leaning against my heater vent and he didnt remove snow that almost covered it

I do have co detector in house...but i need to teach him about vents. And i need to check myself after they leave. This is the first time i wasnt out there with them

Its stil snowing and blowing hard and close to zero and will keep going thru night

I wonder why noone else is checkin in here...most do have power

We had about 8 or so inches here in PA.

I remember having lots of 2-3 feet deep snows when I was a kid.

It looks like Manhattan didn't get nearly as much as expected in NYC.

The kids here got a day off school yesterday and a 2 hr delay today.

I feel bad for the people who have several feet, especially if they lose power.

I am ready for spring, but it's a long way off for us.

I'd take your 63 and sunny, Lymetoo!

Sorry I'm slow getting here, but I too am ok. For us, it was just like a big snow storm that we often get in New England but this time we never lost power.

That is a good thing, obviously. But yes, life is already back to normal here.

I think we got about 28" but i didnt really see it posted anywehere

Some deifts were over my he as d and over the wall of the gar as ge

I was outside more than in. Plow guy kept saying he was coming and didnt. Altigether i think i was standing using a shovel at leastsix hrs

Sitting inbetween. I kept saying i wasnt gonna do any more but the guy only brought the young son to shovel. Sixth grade. Hes shorter than me so all shoveling was over his head

At the end i watched him he would shivel one or two tumes then stop and just stare at the snow. I dont know if he was tired or cold or overwhelmed

I went out to work with him and i had to push a bunch of snow into drive...no way can i throw over my head with this rotator cuff

I tried to get him to sit in truck as nd get wrm.but he wouldnt. He worked but also sort of walkef in circles at the end. He had been out working all day

Im really glad we got it done cuz eight more inches tomorrow night and itvwill be heavy...not light like this

Then more mon nite...

All i can do is cuddle done nearheater. Early bed

I read your posts...kids decided on a 5 br, 5 bath house with 3 porchrs on the ocean in sea bright nj for vacation

Its a really long druve for me and oldest son...but close for others

Its in our price range cuz it "isnt perfect" and has been rented out for frat parties

If we are ever all there it will be ten adults, one baby and five dogs...the son with three big dogs is leaving them home

I think its really good it "isnt perfect" with all those dogs

I think i can sleep. I hope so. It would be so good to get to declutter project timorrow...but we ll see how sore i am

Nite

Wow lpkayak, You had much more of an adventure with our snowstorm than I did.

I'm blessed that I have a husband that likes to take care of everything.

So as I sat inside where it was nice and warm, watching the snow come down, HE did all the outdoor work.

He actually loves being outside in these storms.

He was born and raised in CA and they didn't have these 'treats'???????

So yes, when it snows like crazy, he will be out there plowing, shoveling, or any other excuse he can find to play in the snow. HA.

But that works out great for me when I feel like I'm running on empty.

And since I'm on oxygen therapy right now, I would not have been much help to him anyway.

Glad it sounds like everyone survived. It really was a much easier storm than those that we lose power for days.

Shoot. Its gonna be 30 degrees when most of 7 inches is falling. That makes WET snow

Melting is happening today so the 18 inches on the roof is falling down where we cleaned yesterday

So...i dont get a day off like i planned. in the night when i got up i couldnt walk without canes...or if i did it was sort of a shuffle

But now after meds im pretty good...someone reminded me of arnica and it helped hands...im just afraid i will forget and get it near my eyes

And...drum roll please....i have kept 5 lbs off for over a week...i lose it a lot but it always comes back

I am more actuve now and i really think it is the tea...buhner...iv uped the dose so i count in ounces. Now instead of teaspoons

Its nice and sunny and 29...spring like...here we go again. I do love nh tho.

And we might get even more tonight. And then monday
.

I guess the storms arent a problem anywhere else

Hi there,

No snow here, just lots of rain, which can be serious, it floods sometimes.

It's probably about 60 degrees, but feels colder from the dampness. When one gets used to high 90*s to about 110* ,then 40 to 60 degrees feels chilly, and the 20's feels like Idaho at about 4* degrees.

TxC's Nephew and his family, live in Rhode
Island ,w/ 3 ft. of snow and more coming, and darn cold w/ the winds.

TxC' and I, can't deal w/ the cold anymore, that's why we finally moved, plus the fact VA hospital is only about 20 minutes for him ,instead of three and a half hours.

Well, I'll be back later...

tdtid, I can relate to your husband from CA enjoying the novelty - I felt the same way when I ended up in Chicago in January once -

My cousins would point and say to me, "Look, there's a snowplow!" And I'd stare at it and they'd laugh! 'Cause winter and snow was a novelty for me.

Even here today, what, close to 70 degrees? What season is it? Hope everyone is digging out by now...

Robin,

Hop on over here,,,your hired,,supposed to get 4-6" tonight

So far its coming down like a Hallmark card.

BIG soft flakes falling straight down

lucky it wasnt a couple days ago when winds were blowing trailers over on the highways at 10:30 at night

Usually the wind goes down with the sun.

Now who is the responsible person for this snow tonight?

Thanks Lymetoo!

We were so happy the power stayed on. Think it's because it was powder. It's those wet snow falls that mess things up.

Tdtid, you are so lucky to have such a great husband! I feel the same way as your hubby, I love the snow. I even loved going out in the middle of this big storm working on it. It's such a nice workout, and the air is so clean.

Never do I smell such beautiful air than after a snow storm. I physically feel much better. Maybe because it raises my body temp while working on it, possibly turning off lyme for a while.

That said, I am sore, and another storm is coming on monday. More work to do, even though I'm sick fighting lyme and company. We will go out tomorrow and work on the deck. I don't care, I love it. It makes me feel alive! There are others like me where we live, they just don't advertise how much they love it (lol).

Well, 'just don', we got ours, didn't we?! LOL!

I think we got about 20 inches of snow after the blizzard hit the Midwest yesterday! The snow is wet and heavy - very difficult to shovel and the snow blowers can't throw it!

Oh, well, we've been through worse, but everyone is ok, thank God! That's all that matters.

We re getting it now but it is light and fluffy. Ty mother nature. They say 16" by late tonight. Too windy to shovel a little every few hours like i usually do. I guess i have to find something to do inside. Its up to the windows now so i dont have to go out to see how much more we get

No, I think it's frozen many times, but he was the first person to try climbing the frozen ice.

He must be as nutty as those going over the falls.

im such a control freak my plow guy brought his two kids to rake roof and remove snow around doors

its freaking me out cuz the older kid keeps talking back and doing it his way...im afraid he ll get hurt or break a window or worse

ahhh. this is too much winter for me

i really have to get it off roof. its early feb!!! in march the snow is wet and will crash my house in for sure

every 6 hrs the local weather comes on and every time we are getting 2 more inches its up to 22' before tuesday...two sunny days then more snow

we already have 5' on the ground

That is just horrible!! You would think they would make every house with VERY slanted roofs!!

I bet these plow guys are exhausted too by now!

Hang in there!

Someone should make "SNOW STORM" in title plural

We are in 2-5" range for fluffy snow tonight but warned that a few places will get close to a foot. WeAther guy says one of those storms you cant predict

Then two day rest and storm on suday that might be rain or wet snow or rain on top of snow and that will be very, very hard

Everyday more schools are clised for roof snow removal...some showing cracks in walls and sagging ceilings

Some priorituzed cuz they double as shelters

This is a ruff winter. I sure hope itdoesnt become the norm

Im tired. Safe. Warm. But tired.

Hello <<<<< Lymenet Family Snow Storm Folks >>>>>,

There was actually snow in the outlying areas of Vegas Valley this morning, thank the Lord it didn't stick where we live. Hey, we moved to get away from snowy, icy, weather.

They're having fun up on Mt. Charleston, and it looks pretty... up there!!! We just don't need it down here!!! The roads aren't made for snow and ice.

Hope all are staying as warm as possible... I really want summer to get here. LOL, then I can complain about the excessive heat [as long as we don't lose power]!!!

Jus' Silverwolfi staying inside.
