Good afternoon,

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

I went to church but had to step out midservice for fresh air as the pastor was using incense for Ascension Sunday.

This is an interim pastor. Our pastor who just retired never used incense as he knew so many people are sensitive to it.

A woman at church showed me a rash on her leg. Classic Lyme rash. Fortunately as soon as she saw it she went to the emergency room and they gave her doxy. She plans to ask her regular MD for more doxy.

She said I had educated her well and had seen a large tick on her arm that she picked up at a plant nursery. I pray she never gets symptoms.

Very windy, warm, and humid. Make go for a walk or may just ride the exercise bike.

Have a great week, everyone.

thanks for starting thread hiker...glad you got to church

before vacation and this relapse i really thought i would start going again...not. for awhile anyway.

i had mowed about an hour yesterday and the paain hit me later when i was trying to go to sleep

i havent had ibu in 6-7 weeks...im losing track...sinc 4/7. and i hadnt neede reflux meds for a long time either but recently i am starting to take one here and there. now that the dx is barrettes im more careful since its precancerous

sometimes homeopathics seem to bring it on. but i have not slept in the bed all nigh since 4/7 and i think when i lie down too flat in recliner or try bed that brings it back. last night it was that and knee pain i guess that was from mowing

i remember thinking about taking a pain med but that would have meant getting food so i took an extra sleep med...im not taking many of those either ... and finally fell asleep about 3 up at 10:30.

i took etta outside and dug up all the purple violets i could find in the yard (not many-all tiny) better than digging up dandy lions!

i potted some and put a bunch in with the white petunias. i ll let them grow a bit and in the fall use them for a border on front flower bed

then i managed to spill my honey and vinegar all over the the stove and kitchen counter and newly mopped kitchen floor and so i am here taking a break.

its 82, breezy and sunny...the perfect day for most ppl but too hot for me today so i have a bunch of indoor things to do. but im taking a break
first.

i am feeling better the more i explore the mold sites. back to being hopeful the correct mold tx will help me get rid of a lot of sx. there is a group of ppl who are terribly affected by mold...i think i might not really be in that group since i have been able to live so long without respiratory sx...even when remediating this place. i was careful but still

i think the mold i ran into on vacation was a my first exposure to a really bad mold.

anyway...hope everyone has a good day. dont spill your tea!

LP--It is in the 80's here, too. I hate hot weather, since I don't sweat much.

I did walk 30 minutes with my trekking poles. Decided I needed the vitamin D exposure, but I am sure the high pollen count and the wind did not do much for my sore throat.

Sorry to hear about the incense, hiker. I would be OUT OF THERE too!

It's in the 80's here too. I think it's going to be cooler beginning on Tuesday. It's still very nice out. We had storms last night but it was all fine.

We ate at Red Lobster for lunch. First time in quite awhile. It was good!

Gotta mail another angel tomorrow. It was a second order from a lady who bought one earlier in the week.

My favorite show is coming on soon ... music!

Oh.. and I guess I'll have to root for the Houston Rockets now my Spurs are out of the play-offs. I'm not quite a fan though...just riding along on the bandwagon. [Wink]

Monday-Got to work early to make up time I need to take off on Thursday.

Saturday I did laundry and ironed clothes. Then it was outdoors to try something called 'grounding'. Basically you go barefooted outside so me and my tender footsies did some yardwork.

I raked a few leaves and scrubbed my garden hose and cleaned the area where that goes. Pulled a few weeds too.

Did mani/pedi while keeping at least one foot on the ground.

Then sat under the tree by Rocky's grave and talked with him.

Went to a big 5-0 surprise birthday party that night and spent the night at my Mom's.

Got home last night and cooked a salmon fillet for my lunches this week.

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Do a tick check ak...barefoot? Theres a lot of ticks out there now

My day was crazy...good and bad.

Handiman showed up to fix window that got messed up in winter. I tried to get him to schedule finishing bath...and he said we d talk before he left. Then he disappeared. Isnt answering his phone.

The only place that still smells when its humid is the barhroom and since i have the new window problems i decided to redo bath now with a smaller tub.

I spent a lot of time online looking for tub and wanted to get it ordered but he hasnt gotten back to me

Sooo...friend came and did things on step stool i couldnt do. Bath fan us clean...it was cleaner on inside so my fear that mold was ciming down.from attic was wrong yea! That was stressful

She also cleaned top of cabinet i couldnt reach

So bath is almost all clean...just need new tub and window and
floor

Also...i havent taken cough syrup in awhile and my voice sounds normal...finally...and i still cough but hardly ever wheeze

So my exersuze has been cleaning that bath room and dishes and laundry. I make so many dishes when i cook so many veggies

Ive also been.reading more mold resources...i hope i dont have mold problems as bad as some of those ppl

Im falling asleep. Guess i ll nap. Wondee if handiman will call or come back

LP--Keep thinking positive. You might not have a mold problem at all.

School was fine. Kids and teachers are ready to be done, though. 2 weeks left.

Short walk after work.

Let's hope!

LP.. Maybe your handyman does not know how to do a bathroom. It may be beyond his expertise.

AK... I worry about that grounding .. just be safe. My DR told me the other day that he bought some sheets that are for grounding. You can also buy just a pillow case (cheaper) and it's supposed to work.

Hiker .. Only two more weeks!! [Smile]

I ran errands this morning and then went to exercise.. Did 14 min on the machine and 14 laps. I seem to be doing less and less! My joints haven't been very happy lately. Gotta watch what I eat!!

We also went to the nearby city and got my abx nasal spray refilled.

Tomorrow I plan to go to a show .. by myself if I have to!! Hubby has a meeting at church and I can go to this show for only $5 .. It's a show I've been wanting to see for about 5 yrs!

he just did 7 in a row...and last year six on his rental properties

He does good work but something is going on. Last job the money got real mixed up at end. And he has trouble keeping help. His girlfriend has parkinsons...i wonder if he is sick. If they both have lyme

I have number of another guy but they are all busy now...and dont like working for little ppl like me when ppl with money want them. There was a lot of storm damage this winter-many jobs

Thats great about going to the show. Have fun. When this house is done i plan to go to a bunch of music and plays. Theres a lot
around here

The neighbor has pulled three ticks off her dog so far. Im not sure if i pulled a nymph off etta...it was in pieces when i got it off and might have just been a scab. I didnt put her on doxy...i usually d. She seems ok except keeps wanting to eat grass and then coughs for awhie. Maybe her tummys upset

I think i will go back to hyper tick mode and use permethrin on my shies and her beds

I keep hearing its a bad year

Ak...i dont have a grave to go to for krus but i still talk to him and he comes to me in dreams

just checking in. I will be back later to read what you all have been up to.

Hoping to get up now and clean up a bit in the kitchen, or take a shower or just put a coat over my PJ's and drive Rosie out to the forest area.

Most likely will do the later.

Tuesday-Pretty tired today. Worked 11 hours yesterday and that might be why.

Kayak-I check my feet and lower legs frequently while I'm out there. I'm so paranoid!

In regards to our pets, I miss Rocky everyday. I remember so many things about him like the smell of his paws and how soft his snoot was! He was my best friend.

Hiker-My nephew, Josh, is counting down the days too. He can't wait for summer. I think he's tutoring for 2 weeks in June but he's ok with that.

TuTu-Grounding is a new thing I've just recently read about. I saw the sheets and mats on Amazon and am really not sure about the principle behind it. Still learning.

Kam-Another day to get up and go! Yay!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

What a gorgeous day--60 and sunny. Went for a 30 minute walk after work.

No papers to grade today. Essays tomorrow and Friday and those will be the last papers I grade of the school year!!

Trying to get a MD appt. with my GP to renew the handicapped placard for my car. I only use it at a big grocery store, the mall, or on an icy winter day.

Can't even get in until midJuly and placard expires at the end of June. One day I won't need the handicapped placard anymore, but I still have days when I have very little balance and my legs feel like lead. Getting fewer, though.

Ak...can you try NAC? IT HELPS ME A LOT WITH FATUGUE

Oops. I just have a feeling it might help you. We have a lot of similar sx that pop up on lyme and mold sx list. Coq10 and ala help a lot too...but there is something about NAC that changes me right away

I live it when i takw something and i feel the change

I missed yesterday cuz im.trting to not be embarrassef when they brung new fridgethis afterniin. Like the cable gut...between 12-4

My right wrist hurts si bad frim.scrubbing i dont want to type

Im getting more comfortable on facebookand actually helping some ppl and getting mold related questions answered

Im also doing mire reading on mold and learning. I had stayed away from shoemakers last book cuz of negative crutucisms from simevbut im really glad i am back to reading it...he may not have a great bedside manner(my lyme doc didnt either) but he is ahead of his time and his writings will be more and more important as the mild situatuin gets worse

It will get worse uness there are some major changes...or miracles. ...what a mess

After today i can rest a little. Have a good day!

My whole life it seems i never get things done until the deadline. Im slow and ms perfectionist untul an hoyr before and then im a bulldozer...just get er done

I wrote a weekly column for college news paper. Same thing. I never seem.to learn...change

I took my first ibu since vscation last night...sleep meds, gaba, and daily fish oil and curcumine just wasnt enough to fall asleep. The ibu and wrapping the wrist in ice dud the trick

Hiker...i test it myself and send to lab. They have been very good to me. House never tested high before or after remediation. But i smelled it and saw it. It tested low for many cimmon.molds

On the inside of baseboard there was a little stacky and aspergillis...thats one that got me in school building

But nothing was so high it should c a use a problem. But the potential is here so i remediated correctly and im.ocd about keeping humidity where mold cant grow and having hepa filter going a lot

I was really sickwhen i came back fromvacation and i dropped my suitcase in luvingroom on rug and it w a s there fir a month . When i picked it up i saw mold on rug and under rug on new floor

I was able to clean it up but took samples. I havent gotten them back yet

The mold(?) I might have found under chair pribably came frim chair legs scr a tching paint and sealer tht covered outside wood. It didnt look.moldy when i sealed and painted it but it had been outside. That sample hasnt come backnyet either but platforms are outside and chir has been cleanedvand im.wtchingbit close

Im.pretty sure i brought bad mold back from vacay and that is what was on rug and floor. I have no acute sx now so i thinkni got rid of it but i am really curious abouut test results

Hey gang. I almost feel human today. I ate something high in salicylates and histamine yesterday and it took me down and out. WOW.

I have a headache, but hope it eases up as the day goes on. I hope to run a few errands today. Yesterday, I was in my pajamas till about 3 pm. Sheesh.

The weather was cold and rainy yesterday, so I didn't miss much by not going out!

Not feeling good today but had just enough energy to send info to representative on tick borne disease research and accountability act (HR 789, it's in general). It took five minutes. Time for a nap.

Friday-Having trouble posting to Lymenet. Anyone else getting the timed out message?

Anyways, doing my Friday dance!!!

On new oral med for Psoriasis. It's called Otezla and hope it doesn't effect my immune system. Supposed to help with inflammation so we'll see.

I'm starting to develop psoriatic arthritis.

Hiker-Yay! Does this mean no more kids until the next school year? Enjoy!

Kayak-Is that n-acetylcholine? I do have some serious fatigue issues.

I'm sending you a hug cause I know how family drama can be heart wrenching. Please hang in there!

TuTu-Pajama party at your house!!! I'll bring the movie! Speaking of which I'm going to Redbox tonight and renting 50 to 1 and Mr. Turner. Hopefully they're available.

Catgirl-Hang in there!

Have a wonderful day gang!

just kind of scannning what you all have been up to. Hurts to try and read.

Something about mulch and I assume floweres??

Tutu feeling more human...ah feeling more human is good.

can not recall what else i read.

not much happening here.

i was able to call cable and have them turn things off in 3 weeks.

not sure what i am going to do. i do have a protable DVD player and can watch netflix movies on it.

And i do have the iphone.

It would be great if health would improve and I could do more than just watch TV or movies and be on the internet

got a coloring book but so far not able to color...tried this in the past and it did not work. i was hoping t would work this time.

i will try and find a way tot stay connected

hate it that i was doing better while staying at the hotel and health is going donw hill since moving back to apartment.

ATe better at hotel.trying to do that here

Other factor was i had more help at hotel so hired a person to come twice a month for 2 hours

going to try once a week for 2 hours and see how that goes budget wise.

about a weeks worth of groceries which is not good as barely making it now with food money for the month.

friend was paying for cable and she is retirining.

i am just yammering away as i lay here with my eyes closed.

waiting to feeel more human

TGIF--Good day at work. Kids are ready to be done and I graded my last sets of papers today for the school year.

Still have students here next week, but it is mainly fluff stuff--cleaning lockers, turning in their laptops etc.

Went for a 30 minute walk after work. A bit warmer than I expected.

Watered some flowers. Rain expected Sunday, but I may have to water the vegetable garden tomorrow.

Still have that stupid sore throat and congestion. Comes and goes.

Kam--hope yo can work things out budget wise.

LP--sorry about your tiff with your son. Kids will always be kids.

AK--Enjoy your weekend. Maybe buy that Tesla violet ray and try it on your psoriasis. Probably cheaper than a drug in the long run.

This is my first chance to get back here...i did read all u wrote but may not remember a lot

Son called early to apologize...sid he didnt want to fightt and wanted to solve problem. Good.. thats what i want too. I agree with the plan. It could be a month til it happens...hope it happens. Hearing his vouce not yelling was wonderful.

So lots of wierd odds and ends...first off ...full disclosre. Yesterday one meal was a hotdog and today ws a puece of pizza. Not the good kind eaither. The kind you get at a gas station.

I have eaten so well for 6-7 weeks. The scale doesnt know i did it yet. The worst thing is i dont get supper on time and take thyroid med late so dont get to sleep til 4

I hope soon i can get back to good foid, better schedule and less crazy si i can.sleep and start losing weight again

So fridge guys have to come back wed to fix rollers, and one dehumidifyer wont work and i have tried everything i kbow how to do, and the one ac that is hooked up isnt working riggt

I havent gotten estumate on bath from.either contractor

I bought and paid for 15 bags of mulch but there were only 12 on my truck when i got home so i have to go back and get more

And ...drum roll...i found out its gonna cost 3000-5000 to get the old truck inspected. I paid-took a loan out for 10000 ten months ago. It really hurts me to druve truck. The mechanuc who checked it for me told me there was no rust problem 10 months ago. Now Theres a 3500 ryst priblem

I was in shock when i got second opinion on truck. The auto body guy sent me to a busy used truck dealer to see if they would buy it. Good to see you, kam!!

Gotta be brief.. need to go to bed. Had a great day having lunch with my friend from Texas. We went to a big show called "Jonah" .. It was a production show with all the bells and whistles. I really loved it!

We just had a great time and I look forward to her return visits since her granddaughter just moved to our town and is working in one of the theaters.

Felt better today too.. whew.. and was able to eat without incident at lunch.

kayak .. I thought your son in law was in Thailand and the helicopter crash was in India? Glad all is well with him and with your son.

Hang in there, hiker!

AK.. sorry to hear about the psoriasis. [Frown]

They wouldnt but they took it in trade for a newer one in better shape. My new payment is 50 more a month...but i have a much nicer truck but i didnt rwally want a second vehicle tili felt better enough to kayak and visit kids and stuff

But now its in my driveway. It feels good to drive. I dont know if i should be happy...but im really happy the one i cant use is out of my drive

Decided to stay in the good graces of my back neighbors and got up early to put weed and feed on the lawn to try and get the dandelions.

That is the only round I will put down all year.

Watered the vegetable garden. I really need to weed it.

Went back to bed for an hour.

Went grocery shopping. Then trimmed back some dying evergreen ground cover. I think it needs to be removed but that is too big a job for me.

Cleaned up the car.

Heading home tomorrow for Dad's 92nd birthday. Will miss Liturgy on the Lawn at church, where they hold the service outside and then have a barbecue.

Am doing laundry now. It's only noon and I am tuckered out.

Happy birthday to dad! Have a good time

No ones around i guess. I tried to get some things done. Started out good...eating right...beautiful day.

But it didnt end up good

I drove to beach to look at some cottages in case the kids want to rent one in the fall but i ended up only seeing one. Too many ppl at the beach. So beautiful but then cig smoke blown in your face...ruins it

Ettas spoiled like me...in the winter we have beach to ourselves...she was barking at everyone like they didnt belong

Then came home and more troubles.

Hope somehow tomorrow is better

I have heater on tonight...first time in quite awhile
