Happy Father's Day!

Mine has been gone for 22 years now. Sure do miss him. Would love to hear his voice just one more time. What sacrifices he made for our family and what love he gave us.

I hope everyone has a blessed day today, with or without your father.

[group hug]

Uneventful day so far.. perhaps that is the good news!

Ive been sleeping. I found a few things i need for shoulder doc tomorrow but missing impt records. I need to find thrm and get as clean as i can at kitchen sink and go to bed early. Appt is an hour away at 8 a.m.

I havent unpacked or gotten house ready for workers yet on tues.I amso ready for this reno to be over

I did walk around and talk to my flowers. It was raining hard abd twice i dug a little ditch to encourage the water to go rught on by my house. Not come up to the doir for a visit. I guess the drainage isnt right yet because they aren finished

Im still tired but happy about nj trip

Hiker...i was feeling bad about having a 3 bedroom house. They are very small bed rooms...about 12x12. But i still dont seemto have enough room. One bed room. One exercise room with fold up cot in closet. One office with futon. And a daybed/trundle in living room. I dont have space for my sauna and i really want it set up. I guess im.spoiled. but the bedrooms are really small.

When i was in the retirement place i had a huge one brdroom andthere was more space

I hope kams ok.

And i remember ak had busy weekend planned

I am visiting my folks. Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Walked 30 minutes this morning before I got in the car to drive the hour.

Bad night of no sleep and stomach ache--still detoxing from using the violet wand on my abdomen twice last week.

Think I will wait until Friday and then only use it once per week and keep it on low power.

Detox is great, but not when it affects your sleep or your activities so much.

I did oil some of parent's teak furniture, but can't do it all at once like my house or they have no place to sit or eat all day. So, did a few chairs and an end table.

They will hire someone for the big pieces, I hope.

Have a blessed week.

Monday-Another week already! Well, I didn't go to the movies with my nephew on Saturday. He forgot he had plans already. I spent that day ironing clothes and doing laundry.

Sunday me, hubs, mom, nephew, step-daughter and her baby went to Longhorn's for Father's Day. We had a wonderful time and later we watched the movie, Fried Green Tomatoes. Can't get any better than that!

Glad to read that everyone is moving and grooving already! Now, if I could just get motivated!

See you all tomorrow!

I am so confused thsi am. Need to just veg. Everytime I try and do something it does not work.

Thinking of getting a laptop or ipad or ? on creedit and wondering what you all use that you would recommend.

Would like to watch DVD's, print out things and type things etc too.

Thought it was the cable service I was using that was causing problems with computer I have but now thinking it is the CPU itself plus the fan is so noisey ...it comes on more too with the heat even though apartment is using air conditioning.

Was able to take Rsoei out to forest area dn cruise around on street. I am OK if I am just driving on back roads or just sitting in power chair and moving.

But, when I need to multi taks and multi move...not so good.

Kam--I hate anything smaller than my desktop, so I am of no help to you. Try to avoid credit if you can.

So hard to get out of credit.

Hope your day gets better.

Kam...i like the phone cuz it is light but therr are many bad thingsabout it. So small. Hard to see. My fingers jump around sometimes and make me miss type

I still havent learned to edit on phone. Thats why a few yrs ago my typos got so much worse. You dont get whole site on phone either and that can makevit hard

Im much hsppier on laptop but it hurts me to sit at desk

Im confused a lot too. But today i got some answers even tho they weren t wht i hoped for

Shoulder dic was so much better than last one. His exam was so diffent and so thorough. But outcome not so good. I do have moderate osteo arthritis in shoulder...bone on bone (bad) but no spurs (good)

He really wanted. To give me steroid shot butvwhen ivtold him how i react and two docs now say i shouldnt have steroids he dropped it

He ordered mri to rule out anything that might be fix able...but with xray and exam there is no question it is shoulder arthritis. I am not up for a shoulder replacement. He says ibuprofen is not going to help.

I guess its questionable if glucosamine/chondroiten still helps grow cartilage.

So after mri he will talk to me gain about what might hrlp

I do have. New supp fromchiro for joint/muscle/tendons etc...its intetesting that chiro changd my # 1 problem.to thorssic spine on left upper quadrant from thyroid. I lso have homeopathic for thst

We ll see. The arm.hurts and is really slowingbme down. Need to get workers back soon. It rained really hard yesterday and now i smell sewer gas in.bathroom.

Doesn't sound like fun, kayak. Sorry to hear!! I hate pain!

My stomach is all messed up today. Stayed home all day. Found out I have to have sinus surgery because what we are doing is not working.

Supposed to be a simple out-patient thing early in July. Would love to do it right now!

So sorry tutes. So many with sinus problems. My daughter and dil...both smart science minded with EXCELLENT HEALTH INSURANCE and they cannot get better in at least ten years. They are closed minded to any lyme involvement...not sure if they are even aware of fungal interaction altho i have tildcthem high % sinus problem is fungal...im pretty sure they dismissed it

Sure hope this is the answer for you!

Oh ... im here...supposed to talk about exercise. Still recovering from early doc appt yesterdsy. I am alternating collapsing in recliner/deep sleep/and pushing ti do important things on list so workers can finush up

I was hoping they would be here by now. I ll give another hour before i call sure hope they dont disappear on me.

Bathroom started sewer smell after downpours sunday...and we have bad stormd forecast for this p.m. its raining now

For exercise yesterdy i picked up materuals fir guys to finish bath, and some things i needed

This morning before breakfast i was outside turning chairs over and putting speial plants in safest place

Getting "wipes" bath and dressed was exercise this early

And putting down scatter rugs so they dont damage new floors any mire than necessary

I REALLY need this to be over

I started the chiro supp for thoracic pain...it has a lot of stuff i already take. Hope i am organized enough to start homeopathics and mold detox soon. Tricky schedule

I havent had news on...hope you are all ok as well as my brood spread all over the country. One has trips planned for toledo and nebraska soon. One is on island in puget sound. He has to climb some kind of tower to send abd receive messages

Take care. Be safe. My turn to get the wind and hale today.

Hope your workers can get some things done today, LP. You need that bathroom!

My stomach is still awful. I may go to the Dr .. We are invited to a VIP party and show tomorrow and I am determined to get there!

As for the sinuses, most ENT's know about the fungal thing and they do cultures. There are some infections that are not easily killed out with abx. That would be mine and probably your daughter's and DIL's also.

OK AFter I post this I am going to sign off of LN and see if I can have them send me my password so I can sign on with Iphone.

neuro stuff keeps getting worse. Computer is on its last leg and cable guy is finally coming tomorrow I hope..after 4 scheduled appts of no shows..to pick up equipment.

My hope is to go camping and get out of apartment to see if htat helps with neuro stuff.

But, heat is also an issue and being able to plug in portable DVD player and charge iphone and power chair.

I am thinking the camp ground about 20 miles east of here would be the coolest weather wise as it is in a canyon.

Maybe the local fishery that is up the road from the camp ground would allow me to charge my power chair, iphone and portable DVD player.

ON the other hand, I am concerned about being 20 miles from home health wise. In the past it worked out better to just camp at the local campground...but even that does not go well if health is too low.

AT least it allowed me to come home and go back and forth if needed. heat is an issue

Just thinking via the keyboard.

Just trying to do what I can to help with the neuro stuff. Might wait until to see what temps are going to be in July.

Monsoons are also an issue. I could not handle the sound of the rain on my tent last time even with ear plugs in and ear protection muffs.

But, that is usually short term..usually just rains for a bit.

While here in the apartment the sound of the air conditoning fan is off and on all day making neuro stuff worse.

So, that is about it exercise wise..using the brain

I was abe to stop by auto place and ask them to check my oil. I checked it and but vision was poor..it was either very clean still or there was no oil.

mechanic said it was good but it had been awhile since I had been in so made an appointment for me to come in to get oil changed next month.

I hope to stop and ask when I was in last before getting oil changed but guessing it was last summer perhaps??

Also able to take a shower last night but it was scary..had the choking on my own swallowing while in shower...it gets scary when that happens to the point of is it time to call the emt's and can i even call the emt's...as I am typing this I am thinking maybe I do need to keep the land line....as if i dial 911 they will come to the address whereas if i dial 911 with the cell phone I need to talk which is usually out

Means I need to connect with another telephone service as cable says it is only $10 more for telephone service but my bill went up $40 last time so do not trust them...they have too many added fees that go along with the $10 bill.

Yammering away on the keyboard as thinking in my head is out...brain inflamation.

too much so to really do anything righ tnow.

Also abe to sort laundry..which reminds me...i am over do with getting to the dryer to get laundry...see ya

Tried to do a chat to order land line service from different company..one I had before.

I think they said $18 a month. But, then person wanted me to get TV, internet, etc which was a good price but would cut into food budget.

health got to be too much to continue conversation. Person said they would send me there email.

They were going to put in the order for a future date...not good.

But, I figure I will sleep on it and when able to tomorrow answer her email telling her I just want the land line.

It was a good deal and there was no 2 year contract. Which I had known this before.

Able to catch a few of the posts about not going into credit.

Thank you. I got off track with the fire and need to pay down the amazon credit bill.

It is good I have it but it took me awhile to figure out I had funds at the end of the month because the things like dog food I was ordering on amazon were not being paid from my checking acct but going on the amazon credit card.

I guess they automatically set that up when they approved me for credit. Oops.

But, it is a good thing I have it too as the brain goofed up this month with ordering dog food..ordered it 3 times.

First two times got the small bags by mistake.

Today I should get the large bag...just in time as I am scrapping the dog food barrel.

That went on credit.

So need to get things cleared up with taht before doing more credit stuff.

Hope brain can remember that.

I did go out tot he forest this am and cruise around in power chair with rosie. Good medicine to do that.

Leave power chair on lift now which helps big time.

ARm on power chair still broken so that is tricky.

Kam--you are too funny. Ugh!

LP--Bathroom sounds like a nightmare. Hope my remodeling of my two baths goes smoother. Just would like a date when they are starting, so I can plan around that. Don't want my cousin coming to stay with me if I have no bathroom.

I enjoyed my visit with my parents. They always pour me several glasses of wine and that is not good for me.

Felt awful last night and this morning. I think the alcohol is really toxic for my body, although I enjoy a drink now and then.

Walked like a slug with my trekking poles, but made my self do 29 minutes.

Now I am off to the chiropractor and I have a friend coming tonight. She is going to cook for me and offered to do some outside chores.

Maybe she can dig up the small yucca that defeated me last week. The large ones are impossible to remove.

Tuesday-No exercise again. Just at work doing my usual thing. I did water 3 plants here. I take care of them since our old sales manager left.

I'm still tired from yesterday so hope to catch up on my rest.

Kam-I pay separately for all my stuff. Internet is a wifi hotspot through Verizon for $50. Directv is about $90 and my phone is about $35. Cell phones are Net10, 2 lines for $90. I can't bundle where I live because there's no cable available. Only 3G internet and cellphone. [Frown]

Hiker-I'm glad you had a wonderful time at your parents! BTW, I started taking chlorella and apple pectin for detoxing. Also drink detox tea at work in the a.m. Hoping it will help.

Kayak-Please let me know if you come across anything that'll help your shoulder. I've got a bad one too and am always looking for alternative avenues for pain relief.

TuTu-Oh no! I know you're not looking forward to surgery. I hope it will clear up that sinus issue once and for all!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Kam.. if you can get someone to call the phone company for you, you might be able to talk them into a discount for being a long-time customer.

They should also have plans for the handicapped. They cut $30 off of mine last year when I threatened to cancel my plan. (seriously)

My Dr's office called today and they pushed my surgery to July 17th. GRRR...

Also could not get in to see my GP until tomorrow morning. Stomach is still in one big cramp.

Ak. Chiro gave me supp and homeo that you can buy at many chiro offices
I wull keep posting how that goes. He really helped my thyroid with these meds
He also txed me in offuce with elec machine and adjustment
And soon i begin mold tx(welchol detox)
So many variables make it hard to know but i will let you know

Worker stayed all day and did a lot and will be back tomorrow. Etta gets haircut tomorrow and it shiuld be beautiful day so i may have a very nice few hours at the beach

I can mive toilet paper and my tooth brush back to bath room!

i am also thinking about buying a big rubbermade shed to put sauna in outsude near carport. Its cheaper that way than building shed or addituon and no buolding permit...

Im going to be a detoxing fool!

Able to be out of the apartment from 4 am until 7 am. Helped the pressure in the brain.

But, back in apartment now. Sound of air conditioning units under my apartmetn window is too much to be on patio.

Might head out to forest again and lay in hammock or cot...if health is up to it.

Cool now but going to be hot by 8 am which is only 30 more minutes so not so sure it is worth heading out...might get an hour in.

body shuts down at 9 am so about an hour is all i could do

laid on patio this am, picked up a few things form grocery store, and then cruise out on the undeveloped forst area housing.

Brain stuff started doing bettter.

But, brain stuff is increasing as I lie here.

I think it is this afternoon that the cable people are coming ot pick up equipment.

Do not want an added cable bill at this time.

And hoping having the equipement out of the apartment might help...guessing not though.

As I did not start with the brain stuff until the apartment had to be closed up due to the heat.

I think I can read what you all posted on the iphone. I will find out. Still have yet to do what is needed to get LN to work on iphone as far as password.

My out of town buddy came early yesterday just as I was revving up the mower. She dug up the two yuccas and then finished mowing for me while I trimmed and weeded.

Then she grilled salmon on the charcoal grill, steamed asparagus, and cooked wild rice with portabella mushrooms. Yum.

It was even nice enough to eat outside on the deck--a rarity this summer. We stayed up way too late yakking. Sure wish she lived in town.

When she lived here we often helped each other with yard work or washed our cars at the same time and just had fun working outside. Also played a lot of racquetball. Prelyme days.

And, of course, it is raining today.

I went to watch my friend's daughter play in a basketball tournament this morning, rode the exercise bike just 10 minutes and am off to an energy healing.

Kam.. I don't understand why you can't use the same password for your phone as for the computer?? Let me know if I need to contact Jenifer for you.

Hope the brain stuff calms down soon. Stay hydrated and cool!

Saw my GP today and he prescribed a new med for my stomach. He thinks there is inflammation in there...yep, feels like it.

Hoping to attend the party and the show tonight. I will get to see one of my friends from high school who lives here. We've both lived here a long time but only "found" each other about 6 yrs ago. We don't get together often because she owns a motel and is really busy.

I hear the show is really good and I'm looking forward to it! SO HAPPY that the medicine is already working!!

hiker...Sounds like a wonderful friend! How far away does she live?

Tutu--What med are you taking for your stomach? My energy healer saw a lot of irritation (she called it preulcerous). She thought she could heal it without me taking meds, although it may take another session.

Bland foods for me. I have been eating too many hot peppers and tomatoes. No more decaf coffee, either.

My friend lives an hour away, but she has to work in the summer (She is a wellness clinic director and personal trainer), so we don't see each other too often.

You would think weekends would be a great time to get together, but that is when household chores and grocery shopping and church happens.

Enjoy the party and show.

Everyone--have a good day.

Hump day!!! Yay! Going out with the gang tonight. We're heading to a place called Irish Bred Pub. Might get a bowl of stew and whiskey on the rocks.

TuTu-Hope you enjoy yourself tonight! Sounds like so much fun.

Kayak-My hubs went to a chiropractor today that does muscle testing I believe. They have supplements there also. I go to their massage therapist but haven't seen the doc. Maybe I should give him a shot.

Kam-It's hot like that down here too. I'm getting more adjusted to it the longer I live down in the south. If I only had a pool!

Hiker-OMG! That dinner sounded wonderful! I haven't made any real friends since moving down here but am starting to reconnect with old high school chums and that's been alot of fun! Now, if I can just talk one of them into cooking!

Have a great day everyone!

Hope everyone is OK tonight and that all of you get lots of rest.

I had a wonderful time and I'm SO THANKFUL I was able to go! Found my friend from high school and we got a pic of us together .. yippeee!

Saw Tony Orlando and Billy Dean and a few other entertainers in the audience. It was a great great show!! I think it's also on Broadway .. or has been. I'll have to check on that.

It's called the Million Dollar Quartet, featuring Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. It's based on a true story of the one time they all jammed together at Sun Records.

It was dynamite! The guy who played Johnny Cash was better than Johnny himself. My word! I'm going to take my brother and his wife to see this show in two weeks when they come up here. Can't wait to see them!!

Signing off...

Thursday-Still no exercise....have been tired lately.

Well, it stormed like crazy last night so I stayed home and had a tv dinner. Was pretty disappointed. I'm making a simple diced ham, broccoli, mac and cheese one pot meal with tomato and blue cheese salad tonight. I've been eating pretty crappy at night. One night I got home late and had a can of ravioli.

Kayak-I know what you're going through with the shoulder. I don't even remember what it's like for my shoulder NOT to hurt. Worse at night because obviously I'm sleeping on it. When I raise it over my head it goes numb and cold.

TuTu-What fun! We need to enjoy every moment we can. The music sounds like it was awesome!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Heavy heavy rain last night and this morning. Our state may soon float all the way to Alabama.

Slept 11 heavenly hours last night, but stomach is now hurting again.

Walked 20 minutes with my trekking poles.

Heading to my GP this afternoon. I am not sure he will renew my handicapped placard for the car. I really only use it on my bad days or at the mall where I have long distances to walk.

Most of the time I don't need it, but on the days I do, I really do. Hope I can convey that to him.

Then trying to decide what to do with my hair. Haircut tomorrow. I have short hair. Sometimes I get the ears cut out and sometimes not. Very fine hair but lots of it.

Md appointment went fine. He said he had no problem with the disability placard as he knew I would not abuse it.

He asked about vaccines and I refused. He chuckled and said he knew I would say that, but he will ask every year.

Doctor also pulled up wrong form on the computer and started typing in some recent info. I could see the name was not me and got that corrected. Pretty scary that something like this could happen so easily.

Haircut is tomorrow. I have a couple of pictures from my earlier life to show her. I like something that I don't need to style or use hair gel.

Md also said my ear tube was out. So, I am now trying to get an appointment with the ENT to get a new one. Helps because my Eustachian tube in one ear does not work and is always under high pressure.

Man from piano store coming to look at my piano never showed. I called and they rescheduled for tomorrow. Hope they come, but I doubt they will buy my lovely piano.

Tutu that show sounds fantastic. Wish i could go.

Ak...yeah. i am glad this doc was better than the other one and could dx. I knew it wasnt "nothing" i am not a cry baby. Not a wimp. Not me , right? They look at dumpy me waddling in to appt and figure i sit home eting bonbons all day so will never get better. Now i know...the pain is not my imagination. But i dont likevthe cure. Really not up for a big surgery now. Also...not much chance i ll kayak again. That is a bummer.

He is doing the mri and might find something besides arthritis tht causes this. We ll see. Im trying to be positive. Thinking about a cute, short, chubby (like me) quarter horse to ride western trail

Ak...the way you describe what is going on it sounds like it might be rotator cuff which can be successful with surgery. However it can also mean lyme is attacking those tendins. Did it start hurting gradually or did you injure it. Has an ortho doc examinedyou? Will your ins do an mri?

Hiker i never caught a doc doing that in the act but when i get copies of doc notes i cant believe what they write. Its like it wasnt even me in the offuce

Tomorrows haircut day i guess. My hair has been long all my life excpt for a few busy years when i had a perm

But im starting something new now. Bot sure what. Needs to be drip dry. Or shake and dry cuz its too painful to wash, put in scrunchy and brush a lot now

I amheat intolerant and cant standcit in my face or neck...so always have it ling enough to put in scrunchy. Now a rag or head band will have to do the trick. Etta never misses a haircut...six a year...mine are about one or two a year. (I alwayscget a pedi when she gets her haircut tho...cuz i cant even cut nails mysekf)

So...i slept a lot last night but couldnt sleep til i took extra ibu and a neurontin. ..whuch i am really trying to stop. Didnt start movingaroundctil 11 and i think i fell aslerp before ten. It fet realy good ti not rysh in morning

I put tigether a pieceof floor, trim, and lower wall of bath and found 6 ppaint colors i could live with and took it to my friend with a decorators mind. She called me back and saud either

Friday-Yay! Doing my TGIF dance in my chair!!!

Hiker-11 hours! I'm so jealous! I can't remember the last time I slept that long. Oh wait....Christmas 2013 when I had pneumonia.

As usual we're all on the same wavelength. I had a haircut last week and colored mine last night. Trying to get spruced for my friend's b-day party in Atlanta tomorrow. We've got really bad weather coming so if it's raining I might have to just go Sunday for the day.

Kayak-Gggrrr! Who cares what people think! We know why we're not in shape. It's not for lack of trying on our part. IMO illness will make you kinda dumpy.

My shoulder is a real mess from an accident. I've had 2 shoulder surgeries and one elbow surgery already. My sternoclavicular joint is dislocated slightly so I try to live with it. My ortho doc wanted me to have my scalene muscles clipped by a specialist and they wanted to clip my bicep tendon. I've been putting all that off......

As to losing your drawers....

TuTu-Looks like you have some competition in the losing drawers department!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hair cut is done. Now I need some styling gel which I never use, but I think I would like. I have fine but thick hair.

ENT office got me in to see the nurse. She could not tell if ear tube was in place or not. Physician's assistant could not tell, either as there is so much wax on the eardrum.

I think it is still in, but I did agree to take antibiotic drops to soften the wax, so the ENT can remove the wax next week to actually see if there is a tube or not.

Normally I refuse the antibiotic drops, but it is the only thing I can put in that ear if I still have an ear tube. Don't want mineral oil or hydrogen peroxide going through a hole in the eardrum to the inner ear.

Rode exercise bike. Man from piano store came and I sold the piano!! Got a pretty good price, too. They will come take it away next week.

good news for you hiker...well mostly

my shoulder has gotten worse all day and im not sure why i went shopping three different times cuz i had to lie down and rest inbetween still didnt get potty pads and we really need them i will have to do it first thing tomorrow i used elec carts and drive thrus but still had to ask fo help more than once one woman unloaded my whole cart so i could get checked out im

im typing with one hand at computer...its too hard to use two hands to hold phone i just went for new nsaid...i never like new drugs...but i know neurontin is bad for me and this is too much pain.

i dont understand why it hurts so much. i wore a bathing suit top today instead of my industrial stremgth bra...i wonder if the stupid boob is pulling on the shoulder too much

i want to research growing new cartilage but it seems it didnt work...the only guy i found that said it was possible was dave asprey and i think ppl on here said stay away from him

i just picked up ettas toy with my toes and threw it...this is bad pain

my goal today was to get good food and house set up so i can do all supps and meds from both docs correctly i think i have it all in house...but its not organized yet that will be tomorrows goal

im getting pretty good typing one handed

im going to try both heat and ice later but i think i have to take neurontin theres a lot of side effects with this new stuff---diclofenac---i think i should check with pharmacist first

i just locked etta out of this room cuz she wants to play and keeps hurting me i dont think that has ever happened either i need to get a handle on this the protocol is quite a bit more complicated this time i just need to write it down...maybe whiteboard will work better than phone list i was using

well...hope everyone keeps doing ok is kam not here cuz of computer problems?

Kayak .. maybe the exam your doctor did on your shoulder has it all flared up right now.

Do protect your stomach with the NSAID... same as if it were ibuprofen.

Sure hope the pain lets up soon!! Sounds awful!

I went to hubby's show today. Tomorrow is his last day of subbing. I may go again tomorrow. I think he's going to miss being able to perform for awhile. No new jobs in sight.

Kam is on FB and it's really hot there right now.

Elbows and shoulders flaring a bit after mowing the lawn AGAIN.

Kind neighbors came over and helped trim down my tall bushes. I will do the smaller ones some other day myself.

Picked a ton of green beans from the garden. Too bad they all come at once. I have never had such a bountiful crop.

Now I need to snap them and blanch some.

Really nice out today. 78 and sunny with a breeze. More rain coming this week, though, so every chance I get I have to mow or weed etc.
