The last few weeks my main exercise has been having yard sales. The last few years my main exercise has been remediating house. I still plan on riding horses and kayaking like i used to. Im working on that! What can YOU do?

Well, I certainly can't ride a horse. Never as comfortable on them.

Walked a little bit and rode my exercise bike.

Went to church this morning. Very small crowd.

Went to put chairs on newly stained deck and it is very slippery. I think too much stain was applied and in this humidity it will never dry. Not happy as I like to sit out there and read, but am afraid to walk on it.

Just relaxing the rest of the day and trying to psych myself up for a full week of work. Two days of worthless meetings and then the kids come Wednesday. As much as I like kids I would like fewer. All classes are 33 o 34 at this time.

Have a great week, everyone.

HMm....OK brain stay focused. Riding horeses. The lady I go on walks with on Sunday Mornings suggested she drive me out to a place near here where they have horses for disabled people.

I know of the place but had not considered myself as a canidate. I need to look into it

First I need to recall the naem of the place. I had considered filling out an pplication at one time to volunteer there but health has not been upt to it yet..the drive to the place would waer me out and I would have to be doing well just to get there.

But, gives one something to look forward too.

Exercises. Loaded power cahir this am and cruised on the forest area developement for a short ways with dog park friend. Wore ear protection muffs so did not feel like much of a friend.

And was really wak.

At teh end of the firend said we hope we did not wear you out too much.

What a relief. I was feeling so useless since I was there but not there ya know what i mean.

Rosie and pIney had fun. Rosie stays with us for the most part. Piney stys with us but is on the back roadds exploring..we keep and eye on her and if she is out of eye sight for too long we have her come to us.

She always knows where we are but we can not always see her..kind of like Rosie use to be.

Back in bed now. Time to watch a movie.

Bone pain in the pelvis again lately. AT the pint where I am just about ready to do a search on the web to see what causes that...i just kept thinking it was sdue ot the infcection but am wondering or want to double cehck.

Just breathing in and breathing out is the goal.

Typing this with eyes closed.

Also looking forward to a more comforatable power chair that I can put on my lift as the one I have is falling apart and very uncomfortable

Lift needs parts too but since company went out of business parts may not be available. I have the guy looking for them that put the lift on the car.

I also need to look for something.

Hping to hear from business that may be providing the new power chair this week.

They needed to submit the paper work to the insurance company.

Last time they told me I was approved but it was not for a power chair that reclines. I am hoping to get one that reclines so paper work had to be resubmitted.

Hoping to hear from audiologits about the free hearing aids this week too.

Oops. Got off track so I will stop now.

Very small crowd at our church too. It's been slim the past few weeks, I hear. Enjoyed being back there today!

hiker .. Maybe they could come and sand the deck a bit?

Kam .. That would be SO COOL if you could ride the horses. I bet someone would be happy to take you out there each week. Hope you figure out the pain .. or see a Dr soon.

Kam .. I ran across someone with a KD Smart Chair the other day. It's VERY lightweight and it's a power chair. I'm not sure it would fit your needs though. It may not be comfortable enough.

R u classromm teacher hiker or science...seems like i remember a lot of science stories...whst grade? Those numbers are high tho.

I am certified to teach therapeutic riding but of course cant any more

Some programs are excellent some not so much. Its usually very good for balance and it just makes you feel good. I dontvthink most programs would have a lot of loud noise. Often loud noise bothers horses.

If u can kam id at least try it

Sale ws very slow todsy. Was happy i coyld give 5 dr seuss books to a family with 3 children...ildest just starting to read

Neighbor helped me set up or i probably woulnt have and she took an armload of clothes

At 2 i went out and packed up nicest stuff. It eas hot and took an.hour. consolidated the rest on 3 tables...changed the sign to free and came in.

Tuckered out. Dreaming about buying lite camper shell thst will slide into truck. So cheap and then i can have only what i want. Simple. They have windows with screens. Great for beach. Very cheap to. Pack up my reclining beach chair, cooler and porta potty and i ll be set for th ed day at one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Google new hampshire seacoast if you ever get bored. It may make you want to come visit me!

LP--I teach science to 7th graders and also one class of Language Arts.

Energy healer worked on my ears (balance issues) and now toxins are flowing. Timing isn't great, but the last time she worked on my brain and toxins flowed, it ended up that I could walk easier without my trekking poles..

so maybe this will help, too.

Tutu--thanks for the sanding idea for the deck. I need to contact the guy in charge.

Kam--it's good you are making the effort to get out with Rosie and your friend, even if you are weak. Praying you get the power chair approved.

Hiker .. I hate that you have to teach such large classes. Not sure what the law was in Texas for junior and senior high, but they passed a law in late 70's that elementary classes could not be more than 22 kids. What a blessing .. and they held to it. I think they still do.

My first year of teaching in '73 was 37 kids and I had 43 in my math class. It was horrible. Trying to grade math papers for 43 kids was a complete nightmare. Teaching them was just about as bad.

When my oldest was in 2 nd grade there were 34 kids. 24 in desks...ten at a table in the back. He fell apart. He had done really well before thst.

I was lucky. As a college student i was allowed to put him in the campus school at the college.

He had one wonderful teacher for the rest of
2 nd 3 rd. And another wonderful techer for 4-6. He ended up at RIT and is a computer programmer.

I am so indebtrd to thosed women

Monday-Wiped out from the weekend. All my stuff is moved either to the storage unit or my Mom's. Also unpacked most of my things and put them away. Feel a little more settled.

Spent some of today cancelling or transferring tv and alarm out of my name.

BTW, my nephew, Josh is 34! Makes me feel so old!

Josh and I are planning on going out this Saturday with my stepdaughter and the baby. We're just going out for burgers. I'm so glad that they'll still be in my life.

Anyways, hope everyone has a terrific day!

Im sitting watching a man cut limbs that i am afraid will fall on house in storms. He came before and didnt do what i wanted but charged a lot. This time im having him leave it all on the ground. Its hsrdwood so i think i csn get someone to take it for free and put brush in my truck so i can.take to the dump

Its good the hard work is done ak. Sounds like better actuvities...burgers with the kids

I took my first whirlpool bath last night! Really enjoyed it. First time in tub in many years

Very hot...my town is one of 3 that will probably be abive 90 for 3 days...another heat wave. We dont get those up here!

I had two fillings done and they really were hard for me for some reason. He gave me a bunch of extra nivacaine but i kept gagging. Now...five hours later im still really numb.

I was overdue for pedi so went and got the "delux" one with extra massage. I was hoping she was getting important reflexology points

Meetings today. Not exciting at work. More meetings tomorrow.

Exercised 30 minutes--half on exercise bike and half walking.

Got another estimate on taking down the tree. This one was in-between the other two in terms of cost, but he can get to it sooner, so I think I will go with him. Rather pay more than the cheapest for the peace of mind that it will not fall on the house.

Man in charge of staining deck came by and about fell on his face. I don't think he believed me when I said it was slick. The directions on the can were very clear. Only add a second coat if the first coat dries in 15 minutes.

Now he will have to strip it down and start over and I am not paying extra for him to do that. Meanwhile I can't use the deck and the weather is supposed to cool off at the end of the week.

Thats awful about deck. When guys screw up i almost always take the hit myself cuz im so worried i cant find another worker. I wish i was tuffer about that

I wish i could post a pic here. Before and after. I went out at six cuz it was cool to see if i could make some sense of the limbs with my dull saws and hatchet. In half an hiur i was drioping wet frim sweat and shaking but i had gitten thru half that pile and soeted out vrush dy or dump and good wood all in a size i can mive myself.

I think theres only about $20 woth of good wood there so im going to have triuble getting someone to do the work for it. A good wo rt ker should be able to do it all in an hiur. But ppl ares lazy around here

I ll probably do it myself ...turtle style

I came in the house and took a sit down shower. Started out with etta with me cuz she got so muddy. She hates her face wached so now she is all fluffy white with a brown muddy head

I fell deep asleep in cgair fir two hiurs then son who raced in ohio on weekend called to fill me in.

Im staying inside and cleaning todsy. Gonna be really hot again. Then tomorrow etta goes forchaircut so i can hang out at beach

Its supposed to cool down each day startung timorriw so eventually i ll grt back to the brush pile

See u later

I have no idea when the deck will be finished. Raining the next few days, so no work can be done on it.

I was counting on having it to use when an old friend from out of town comes on Saturday, but that won't be happening.

Home for lunch and then back for more meetings this afternoon. Starting tomorrow the kids come and I will only get 25 minutes at school for lunch.

Tuesday-Another day another dollar. Not to bad at work today. Going home in 30 minutes and can't wait.

Kayak-That whirlpool bath sounds like heaven to me. One of these days I plan on taking a bubble bath with music, candles and wine! My Mom has a big enough tub but with the 3 of us living there and one bathroom I'm going to have to wait until it's just me there.

Hiker-Sheesh! Hope that guy fixes your deck! You'd think he'd know what he was doing!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ak...maybe josh could take your mom out for dinner or something and you could get your bath

You know...i raised my kids about an hour north of where rosie odonnell raised her kids. My son was a waiter in this fancy place she took her family to a lot. He said she was always really nice

But back then something happened with one of her kids. I dont remember it all but i think it was a daughter or two and i think it was a tick.

I remember i contacted her somehow. She didnt talk to me but on tv she really talked down lyme. Said she was treated and is fine..blah,blah,blah. I remember it really hurt me and i felt so scared for the kids and mad at idsa etc. That was before i toughened up about helping ppl and gettung put down

The same thing happened with brad and angelina...all this noise about renting the perfect country house on long island with big yard and horses for kids

I posted on LN about it...angie was doing a movie in nyc i think. I never talked to them...but i think they played it diwn too. I ont know how their kids are now...

The whole thing is so sad. Get on a pitty pot and feel bad for kids with mental illness. Have a party and make money for research.

Why not pay attention to what is going on and prevent more kid sd from.getting sick?!?

So frustrating

My hands hurt from.sawing. shoulder too

Hump Day-Only had to stock in 3 cars so not to busy today. Yay!

Still working on separating utilities, insurance, etc. out. Still have joint account but that won't be much longer. Have auto pay set up through that account and don't have another checking account yet. Will have to take off from work to set that up. Might shoot for Friday since I have a doctor's appointment on that day anyways.

TuTu-You're so right! I love to go home now and see my Mom. Josh will be there soon and it'll be great to have support everyday instead of just on the weekend.

Kayak-That's a great idea! My Mom does go out with friends and Josh visits one of his friends from high school......so I'm just biding my time!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good to read about your progress ALW.

But, might have to change your pen name now. [Smile]

I did some things this am but darn if I can remember what it was.

I was suprised when I saw it was only 10:30 am as I thought it was much later in the day.

I think I watered the plants this am. I know I went on poop patrol but either my vision and processing were off or someone else went on poope patrol ....as found no deposits to pick up

Looked for my sunglasses in the frigerator before heading out in power chair. I am happy to report they were not in there. [Smile]

For the first time in 11 years I taught all day standing up without a cane or trekking poles. [woohoo]

I may crawl into work tomorrow.

I exercised 35 minutes Monday and Tuesday, but today I am counting my teaching as exercise.

Wow hiker. It seems your exercise routine has paid off. I still dont seem to get stronger with exetcise.

That exercise intolerance thing is strong with me. And some new things have pointed toward the mito thing again.

I realized today i am not taking my walker places and not using my cane(s) i do still use the motor cart in grocery store...but i walk into store by myself. I know part of it is
i splurged and bought good coq10

Etta got her haircut today and i sat in sun and breathed ocean air for two hours in.my fav spot. I thought all the rentals there were not dog friendly but i saw a lab at one and asked the guy and he offered to show me the place. Its across a small, quiet road from.ocean. has front covered porch, back deck overlooking marsh, sleeps ten in beds with couches and room for sleeping bags. Only one bath...but for me waking up hering and smelling the ocean makes the one bath not so important. Im going to see if i can.get it for a week next june or sept when.its a little cheaper. Maybe some of the kids will come visit.

I was starting to think of last yard sale of the summer but tonites weather said downpours sat so i took pics of about ten pieces of wood furniture and put them on craigs list. With the carport i think i can handle ppl coming just for that. Not clothes or little stuff.

I noticed leaves are starting to change and i did need my allergy med today. Still havent gotten car inspected cuz i cant find registration. Im probably going to work on house sincevwe have a week of raincoming. Hope i find it

My exercise was dragging the brush i cut up yesterday to the front yard wherr it will be easy to put it in truck and take to dump. It took about 20 min, slow and steady, but it was hot and i thought i might have a heart attack so didnt get it all. Its always coolest in the mornings so im.gonna work then...then chill during day

I have some painful.sores on.back. cant see them. Sort of took pic with camera...looks like something took a chunk.out of me. Dont know. Hope its not shingles. Or the wierd mold sores some ppl get. I was out in the brush-i was covered and sprayed-but cant see if it is bullseye...hope not.

Tried to use brain to set up an all or nothing fundraiser to see a doc in AZ that others on the AZ Lyme Support Group page have been helped by.

Got an email from his office suggesting I start a go fund me page to come up with the office visit funds need of $350.

really tricky trying to get the brain to work to set this up but think I got er doen. Time will tell.

Also able to fold a few pieces of lunadry. Hoping to be able to finish todya and put the laundry awaay.

Ran out of turmeric. Thought I could wait until the first of the month but once again was reminded that it really does help with the brain stuff and I do need to get more.

Thought I had charged more on my amazon acount but looks like it di dnot go thru. So, if health allows I will go to the local health food store when they open at 9 am.

If not, I will try once again to order on amazon.

hoping to be able to come b ack and read your posts when able. Vision has been worse lately. Hate that.

REad first line on kayak's....i too do not build up strength with exercise.

In fact is the opposite. 10 min on my feet in the forest trail takes days to recover.

Although I was able to do more while staying at the hotel...but I think it was because I had more help.

For some reason health was a bit stronger and I was able to go on the trails for a bit but then that stopped and I was able to cruise in power chair daily out at the forest area...

but then that stopped too to once a week for 10 min...really miss that time...good fro one's health.

Thursday-Well, no exercise for me today. That's on the back burner. Josh was talking to me about a rec area not far from my Mom's that has a walking trail. Hopefully we can go soon once he moves in too. He has a cute Australian Shepard mix named Ada that we'll drag along with us.

Kam-I hope your GoFundMe is successful. Laughed when I read you checked the fridge for you sunglasses. I use to do stuff like that too.

TuTu-Yes I am. What's sad is I was the "Lone Wolf" while I was married too.

Hiker-Way to go! I'm hoping to get back into shape too and have more energy. Right now I feel so drained but I think it's from all the emotional stuff I'm going through.

Kayak-Does CoQ10 give you energy? I just ordered 2 bottles for my Mom from Vitamin World. She says it helps her with her leg cramps.

BTW, I had a little mini vacay while reading your post. I was picturing myself at the beach too!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Ppl say all coq10 is the same but when i buy from dr M i use half as much and get twice the energy. Expensive tho.

Stopped for a break but have to keep going.

I put a ton of stuff on craigslist and need to get it near the door. Its gonna be too rainy to put it out.

Still hot and humid. Could only work on brush pile 15-20 min a day...very slow going

Cant get inside below 77

LP--Can you pm me who Dr. M is that you get your COQ10 from. How much do you take daily?

AK-walking trail sounds nice.

Went a second day at work without my cane or trekking poles.

Got home, though, and am feeling very toxic. I think the more I move the more the toxins are coming out.

That's good in the sense when they are out, I will be a speed demon, but bad timing as I have lab work tomorrow.

Left my trekking poles at work, so hope I am able to walk from the car to my classroom tomorrow.

Getting down in the 50's tonight. I have the windows open for now.

Glad it's cooling off there, hiker. Nice and cool since night before last here. Will be 80-81 the next few days here. Fine with me. It was too cool to sit on my balcony on Wednesday!

LP .. hope it cools off for you VERY soon. You know it will and then you'll be cold. (Does that ever happen?)

AK .. I love dogs like Australian Shepherds .. similar in temperament to the border collie.

They finally finished the asphalt resurfacing of our parking lot and the hill to our place. Sheesh. Too long a story to explain. We had to park our cars elsewhere and hubby had to walk down the hill today to go to work.

I stayed inside all day. The asphalt stinks. Hope that clears out soon. Thankfully, I can't really smell it inside.

I have many errands to run tomorrow but I'm looking forward to being OUT again!

Hubby's show is going well. Still so thankful he has the work and it's something he is born to do.

Able to get out of park this am. Drove by lab to see what there hours are and to get the web site to schedule an appt.

Checked mail and still no replacement card from insurance company.

Wrote this time. If brain is working well enough in a bit I will call again...this has been going on for months now.

Can not get labs until I have card.

Charged pritner ink, envelopes and white board markers on Amazon Charge card. AT least I got the order in..but really need to stop using that charge card.

Brain is flaring up. Time to veg.

But, at least I got out of park this am and was able to do a few things.

TGIF!!! Yay!!! Dancing in my chair. I sure am tired this week. So glad it's the weekend.

Well, I turned in the rest of the paperwork for my divorce this early a.m.,then went to the doctor (for psoriasis), transferred my car insurance, opened a checking account and changed my address.

And made it to work by 10 their time!

Working til 8 EST and have a couple of errands to run before I can go home. Whew!

Kayak-Boy, you're busting butt with the yardwork. I remember having a brush pile in my yard that I burned and accidently caught my yard on fire. How embarrassing! Had to call the fire department!

Hiker-I'm so envious that your temps are down in the 50's already in the evening. I'd so have my windows open too!

TuTu-They were repaving the road in front of the dealership for at least a couple of weeks. I know what you mean about the smell! Hope you didn't overdo with the errands!

Kam-Glad to hear that you're getting things done too! I really need to go to a park or something fun. I've been just vegging out and watching movies lately.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Boy do i have a brush fire story for you...but no time now

Its light rain and vsry humid but i thought i might be able to make a big dent in brush pile with rain cooling me off so had to go buy more permethin spray...got coffee and egg sand at drivethru...yd sale change at bank and got distracted by "plants for a dollar. They were supposed to be annuals but i got 3 pots decorative grass...one mum that miggt cime up twice and a big geranium that will last thru fall if i give her a haircut today

I came home ready to work on brush before i rewarded myself with plants and had a message a guy wants my wood.

Finished out the school week strong without using my trekking poles or cane all week. Hope this trend continues.

I will not meet my weekly exercise goal in terms of minutes, but for the first few weeks of school that is okay, because I am on my feet all day.

Hopefully once my legs are stronger from standing all day I can work the exercise back in.

Friend coming tomorrow and bringing her chain saw. Need to take down a few limbs from my only surviving large tree as it has some sort of worm--thinking gypsy moth from how the bags look.

Hope she gets here early enough to get the work done before I "poop out."

Relaxing tonight for sure.

AK--sounds like you got a lot done in a short amount of time. Probably doesn't feel good to have to do it, but I bet in the end you will be happier.

LP--playing with plants--sounds fun.

Wow .. I had an emotional day. Some good, some sad. I ran tons of errands and right in the middle of it I received a phone call from one of my former 4th grade students.
(taught him in 1978-79)

I had been looking for him for years and I put the word out about it to other students from that school. Well, he finally found out that I was looking for him.

Sadly, he's had a rough life and when he called me he was half drunk. He said he would have called me yesterday but he was REALLY drunk.

He lost 4 children in a fire about 7-8 yrs ago. I found that out about 6 months ago and I cried and cried. He was a child whose life I felt I had changed .. and I had. But then life slapped him in the face a few more times.

We plan to talk again, but one thing very interesting about him is that HE MAKES JEWELRY. Can you believe that!? Only problem is that he has no job. I would suppose it's because of his drinking, but it could be the other way around. I won't judge, but I WILL PRAY.

If you would like to pray for him, God knows him as "William."

Thanks .. I'm still processing this.

Tutu--I will pray for William. I'm sure you did make a difference in his life. Life can be so hard.

LP-I saw the bears in the swimming pool on the news. Heard them say they were coming to your nice new bathtub next. LOL

Cut back a viny shrub that appeared out of nowhere and was climbing my fence. Couldn't get it out of the ground though.

Waiting for my friend with the chainsaw to come later today to attack some limbs on the sweet gum.

I need a nap before she comes.

Not doing well. Not sure what is wrong. Rare I am well and have moments of feeling like a humanoid but this is different.

Going to watch a movie and drink detox tea to see if that helps. Hoping I will fall asleep and wake up feeling better

I was able to drive to the rodeo grounds 5 min away this am at dawn and I thought I did something else but can not recall what

In my bedroom with windows closed, air on, fleece over bedroom window for light sensitivity and bedroom door closed for sound sensitivity (air conditoning unit)

Tying this with eyse closed.

Most of the time I am OK if I just lay here and do not do anyting but watch a movie

But, so far today is different..even that is not working. Hoping ti lest up soon.

Tutu i just saw what you posted about william. I guess we postrd close together cuz i hadnt read it. So sad. And since you were so invested in him i can see how awful it must be for you.

When i see this kind of thing in life...and i do...ppl going thru things i know i couldnt handle...i think those ppl are very special. They are getting the hard jobs...the ones so many couldnt handle. They get thru it...they suffer and learn.and grow. And they are very special angels when the time comes, because of wht they have been thru.

Kam...i worry about you. I dont know wht the answer is but somehow you needore hands on support

LP and hiker: Thanks for your prayers for William. I hope he can turn his life around, but I just don't know. By the way, he's 47!

I am really tired today and I just realized that I've been without my CoQ10 for a few days. Whew! Just got it in today.

I went to see my husband's show. It was the first time I saw it this week. I invited a couple I met yesterday and they came and they enjoyed it.

What's funny is that I met the man because he was sitting next to me outside a shop while I was talking to "William!" He heard that entire conversation so I explained to him what had just transpired. He was amazed that William had remembered details from his 4th grade class from nearly 40 yrs ago.

Kam .. hope you feel better tomorrow!

Tutu...im amazed too. I crashed after yard sle and helping man take almost all tree limbs away. He was really hppy to get wood free and had no problem filling my truck with brush. After he had worked all day. He uses about sux cord of woodcto heat his 2700 sf home. He was a really good worker and may turn into a friend.

I also managed to get a sit down shower and wash my hair and some guy came back to buy two dvd players and a vhs player so i made another 20 bucks

I fell deep asleep but was dreamingvi was in pain the whole time and when i woke up i was. Im afraid to even take an ibu now...but its cool enough to sleep in living room where cimfy sleep chair is.

Whew...what a day. Glad i got stuff done but will take some time to recover ...

Now im having ice pick stabs to one ear...that makes me think of yeast too

Well...nite again. Hope my dreams dont have pain in them this time!

Able to cruise on power chair out in the undeveloped forest housing track with dog park friend.

Friend had a cold and had not been getting her sleep. She was grouchy and I think not liking people very much.

She was OK to be around...but reminded me of me daily due to not feeling well all the time and never feeling rested.

I try to be pleasant to be around too....short term that is...can not handle any more than 5 or 10 min at a time around people.

System went into shock this am. It was colder than normal for a few minutes. Wrapped blanket around me and put on fleece jacket but warmed up quickly.

System can not handle temperatures well.

Rosie took off before dog park friends got there. It was as if she knew today was the day they were coming....putting the power chair on the lift was probably her first clue.

She started heading out on the road so I just followed her until we ran across them coming in their car.

Wore ear protection muffs as health was below baseline.

resting now, then breakfast. Left arm is hurting too. Just added pain upon pain. This pain comes and goes. Thankfully not very frequently.

kayak...the lady who use to clean for me is now the supervisor for the caregiver organization with the county.

Not the business that has the contract but she works for the county itself..she has R.A. and wonders about lyme disease.

She is putting in the paper work again for more caregiver help. Hoping it will go thru this time.

New doctor this time. New lab tests showing positive babesia but PCP says that only shows I built up antibiotics...I told her that no...the doc said it showed an active spirochete under the microscope...PCP said she needed to read the test results again.

Bottom line...hoping it goes thru this time but it depends on the paper work the doctor presents and the formula the county has for what requires what.

If I had an MS or Parkinson's or Al's dx I most likely would get the help needed.

PCP also wants me to see a Neuro. AT first I thought why? Just a waste of time.

But, then a neighbor yesterday had a stroke and she said during the stroke they learned that she had a blockage and that is why she was getting vertigo etc.

I do not believe any of the neuros' I saw back in 2001 to 2003 checked the veins in my neck to see if there was a blockage....most just did a handshake and billed insurance
