any fellow artists out there?
I used to be quite prolific, but now I am like a used up stump without an imagination sometimes. the diseases took my creativity away. does it return fully?
I don't like it. I feel so dumb . like a tree stump. useless. unless you put a potted plant on top, haha.

I was sent to rehab once, and my favorite activity was the art sessions! We got to express there with paint, and I got to paint big and paint emotionally expressively, then I got more symbolic and then finally calmed down to make some imagery.
You could do something similar - as in not judge or criticize what you do, just allow it to happen, as your own expressive process, and see where it takes you.

thanks Robin. I thought of that too, but I even have trouble with that idea. I get caught up in the thinking of that I am wasting paper or paint or that its a waste of time. what the heck is wrong with me??? hhaaa
I will try this though. maybe on small pieces of papre to start. my hands don't work the same either, so that is probably a big deterrent for me psychologically.

I'm hoping I get my artistic groove back by coloring.
I bought an adult coloring book and am loving it! Creativity is involved only in choosing the colors but it's something!
I bought a Folk Art coloring book. Getting bogged down trying to find another one out of the hundreds on Amazon.
A good way to pass my time while listening to books on CD.

Coloring is supposed to be calming, but it doesn't always do that for me.
I get stressed choosing a color sometimes.
50 colored pencils.

Marz .. which one did you buy .. and where? I want one too!
I am creative, but not necessarily artistic.

Lymetoo, I have "Folk Art Coloring Book" by Thaneeya McArdel from Amazon. This one has lots of colored pictures of the finished picture and some without.
I think I'll get "The Secret Garden" next.
Enjoy! There are so many it's hard to choose.

Don't worry too much about it. Your skills will come back.
I used to paint a lot when I first fell ill. When my health started to deteriorate even faster I couldn't mix colours anymore. I tried very hard to keep drawing, but like you, I felt clumsy and paled. A bit later I lost the ability to write so drawing was then completely out of the question.
I'm not yet cured, but thanks to treatment I can draw again! And that feels so marvellous, I can hardly describe it. It's such a victory when I realise I couldn't even write my name legibly anymore.
Just make sure you get the right treatment, be patient, don't rush anything, give it some time and it will all come back. There will be plenty of inspiration.
Best wishes,
Notti

I've seen most of those on Amazon,Lymetoo.
I LOVE the angels, LisaK. That book is on Amazon too. Might make good little handout gifts at Christmas or on top of a wrapped package. Thanks!
