Does anyone know about the. upcoming dr oz show next wed? I was told by someone online that it has something to do with lyme disease. but they also told me it is taped in Philadelphia. it is in NYC. I can get to NYC by train, but it is expensive if the show turns out to be about an unrelated subject. also, I hate to even leave my house these days, being in NYC early in the morning will be difficult. also, I won't like being there alone. I could not find any info about the show's subject on the dr oz website. does anyone have any info and is anyone else going to the show? I just emailed for the ticket last nite and got the confirmation form emailed this morning. tickets are free.

I wouldn't go to all of that trouble on the CHANCE it might be about Lyme disease...and you KNOW it won't be covered well, NOR covered completely.

- Think of your "bank account" for the COSTS of energy and endurance - and sensory exposure. You might be required to stand for a long time in line and be exposed to all kinds of light flashes, sounds, scents.
Sounds like your bank account does not have the funds to cover such costs and "payback" of such an excursion. You'd likely be better off not going.
If you need assistance along the way, just finding a quiet bench to rest can be beyond tricky.
As to what good you might impart, most audiences are not really there to share their wisdom. They are there to look good for the camera, smile, laugh, applaud and make all kinds of happy noise.
You could write them an email of a point or two you'd like them to cover if they still have time to include that in the script - by now, though, the script is likely finished so keep any note short.
Maybe ask them to add the website for ILADS, typed on their screen long enough for the viewers to see.
Shows are usually taped a week prior to broadcast but just check with them on that. Call them if their website does not have that detail.
While it sounds so hard to make the journey to the taping . . . it would still be something fun to do so you might feel let down if you decide it's just not physically feasible for you.
What I would do, though, is to get out soon to some kind of nice event near you that you would enjoy. -

Hi Lymetoo, I am thinking your right. I was just hoping that I would have the chance to be called on. and tell a little about what hopped to me. among things , an infectious disease Dr refusing care when he was looking right at a recurring bulleseye rash ....well, you probably know my story by now. Thanks for the advice! Capitals! This little tablet device I am typing on automatically capitalizes for me! but I have to type one finger. so mostly just read.

Hi Keebler, you are absolutely right. My husband plays saxophone and sings in a band, and I have only felt up to going out to see him once, they used to practice at our house once a week. But I usually did not even feel up to going down stairs to socialize. I did manage to go to NYC for a Lyme protest and a Dr's apt. and even did a lot of walking, but standing long is the hard part. Save energy for more important or fun things!

I SERIOUSLY doubt they would call on you randomly. I think all of these shows are VERY scripted and planned. They really don't want ANY surprises. Just my take.
That's cool that your husband is a musician. Mine is too! It would really bother me if I couldn't see him play on a regular basis.
Hope you get to see him perform very soon.

Hi Lymetoo, what instrument does your husband play? Not having the energy to do the family things is between tough and heartbreaking. Thanks for the words of reason. Obvi I am still a bit confused.
