www.microbiomemedicinesummit.com - sign up there to watch. 4-5 speakers/day, anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour each. Great experts on gut health!
Monday is encore day, so all available for viewing. I think the cycle is 10am EST.

Isn't it a shame. So many other bacteria they can detect in & around our bodies, yet somehow anything Lyme Disease related they cannot test for effectively?
How ironic.

You're right about the degree of interest in figuring out the gut. Everyone has one, so there's a lot of research going on. Actually, a lot of the microbiome is unknown, and they're calling for studies to figure it out.
I think there's going to be ongoing research for both - they will be figuring out the gut, and people will be figuring better tests for Lyme and co, including a recent test that's only in the lab right now that can maybe detect antigen proteins being created by the Lyme bacteria.
The gut bacteria research will help us too, as they affect our immune system, our brain, and our whole body's health. 70-80% of the immune system is in the gut. A lot of serotonin is made there. Vitamins are made there. The gut makes a lot of what we need.
It's not an either-or here, it's an and. We will also benefit from what they figure out about the gut bacteria.

It's actually very good info for us, since most of us have gut problems here, I think. I started watching on Friday and want to catch a lot of it tommorow.
Maybe any of you who watch can come here and post about something you learned!
