After having a heart attacked August of last year, my husband has been seeing our LLMD since December of last year.
He tested Igenex positive for Lyme and of course, co-infections.
He had a ton of other problems too, due to having Lyme for 27 years give or take...plus all the other "got ya" traps from our foods and environment...you guys know the drill.
But my husband, after dragging butt for so very long...you guys know how it is...(he was functional but struggled he is one tough cookie), is beginning to feel better and that is with no abx.
The treatment he is going through is very regimental and I cannot fathom how an ill person could pull it off solo, but it is working and I am happy.
I am so thankful for our LLMD who got our daughter's life back for her, and now my husband is showing marked improvement.
I am thankful that I am capable of helping and caring for my sick family members throughout all these years.
I am thankful for all the many things I have learned.

bluelyme...the way his LLMD is getting my husband better is somewhat complex. We went to him because he had had a heart attack and then determined he had Lyme and co infections also....probably for many, many years when we think about it.
His protocol is tailor-made for him. The Dr. utilized many labs to see what was going on...many of those labs were heart related....we found out he has the MTHFR abnormality, yeast and many other problems. He has two other Dr.s on his team we utilize...an energy Dr. and a doctor that tests his blood and nutrition (Asyra).
My husband has been on a strict regiment since December according to the testing...it changes somewhat each time we see his LLMD...not only supplement-wise...but food-wise also.
He was put on Nystatin for yeast...but now is being treated homeopathic for that.
He address gut health, blood health...any thing that is off that is essential for your system to working optimum he addresses vitamin and mineral deficiency, mold, any other infections including viral, genetic shortcomings, heavy metals and is very big on oral health...very big. My husband sees a dentist that practices health centered dentistry at the recommendation of our LLMD.
And we adhere to every nuance his Dr. recommends...from drinking only distilled H20 at this time to each nutritional recommendation made and that too, changes all the time depending on testing.
No sugar, grains except sprouted, dairy, as organic as we can, no liquid when eating food and foods eaten in a precise way (pretty easy that is)...and they explain it all in detail so you know WHY.
So he has been on vitamins, minerals, homeopathics, Burbur items, detoxes, natural antivirals/bacterial...the list seems endless at this point, but I know it will wind down because his testing improves each time we go.
After all these years fighting Lyme and with this particular LLMD this is what I take away from it as Lyme understanding has evolved...and I can say that this could be a path for many illnesses... just my humble OPINION:
1. Gut health
2. Gut health
3. Rid the body of things that don't naturally belong there...especially molds, yeast, viruses, heavy metals and toxins.
4. Optimize oxygen levels in the body and blood.
5. Oral health.
6. Nutrition...our LLMD uses food as medicine period.
7. Address mental duress. (My personal take away from that is that sadness, depression, anxiousness, fear...all the horrific negative emotions can affect our well being, BUT they can also serve a purpose when acknowledged properly and actually have a life effect on us that in time, become who we are in a POSITIVE, USEFUL way.) It is okay to be in the crapper.
8. Ask the Father in heaven for direction, support, and wisdom and His aid in helping you to pick up all the pieces when you have blown all of the above.
9. Good, solid common sense nutrition.
10. Stick to it.
To all who suffer may God hold you up to persevere another day with grace and fortitude...my prayer for you all.

Beautiful thread and post. Thanks for sharing!!
It's just so opposite, the way people treat mostly (with drugs, antivirals, antibiotics...).
Dr. Rau in Switzerland, dr. K, they all go in your LLMD direction.
Glad your daughter is also doing well!! -------
When you say 'testing', does it mean energy testing?

momindeep,
I am very happy to hear about your husband's improvement! That is wonderful!
From all the Functional Medicine seminars I have watched, I agree that gut health is the #1 factor that must be addressed and there are a number of other factors that should be addressed for anyone with any chronic illness.
I applaud your husband's discipline in following all those recommendations. It is not easy to change one's diet and lifestyle drastically.
I pray that your husband continues to have steady improvement and completely recovers.
God bless!

Brussels, MammaMe and Dekrator...thank you for the sincere responses...I sooo wish everyone could have a chance at a LLMD like ours too...
Our doctor just added ozone therapy to his arsenal. He has learned much over the years and has been able to share and implement that knowledge...in our case, successfully.

That is THE way to go, I do think so too.
I don't think any of the killer therapies will take us to health, long term.
Not even my nosode + photon therapy alone, not even rife, not even herbs in combination just for killing purposes.
This building-side part is what brings health, long term.
So nice to know there are some doctors doing that too, and nice to know there are patients willing to follow them (as it is a lot of work to change habits at home).
Congratulations!!
Post this in Medical, momindeep. Why not? This is important, so that other people can see that real people get improvements from re-building the body.
So many people still only believe in killers, that can give a sort of insight for them.
