She must be doing something right - a woman named Heidi overcame breast cancer and set up a business creating packaged blends of organic whole foods.

She was doing a demo yesterday at our main health food store in town. I was kinda sleepy yesterday. I sampled the four mixes and around 15 minutes later, I woke up, bigtime - mind wide awake, my eyes wide open, and I was alert, and amazed! I didn't know that was possible, to wake up like that! Clocked it - lasted at least two hours.

She said the ingredients help create more vasodilation in the brain, thus bringing in more oxygen and nutrients.

She's basically only selling at store locations in CA at this point - some Molly Stones and some Whole Foods. She has a website where people can order.

I tried all four, and I was definitely drawn mostly to one of them, the purple one with red beets and a bunch of other foods.

So it's possible that we may need to sample them all to experience if there are particular ones that work best for us.

Robin, how much did she have in a sample?

I ordered some for my hubby. Did it give you energy too or just wake you up?

She was squirting out around a teaspoon size into little spoons. I was sampling even smaller amounts, so I'd say I had two tsps worth prior to my reaction.

I think it was more of a wake-up.

If you want the energy part, I made a post recently about other companies carrying the Cernitin flower pollen that used to give me back my energy when I was developing fatigue from an unknown Lyme infection.

Beets are the main ingredient in 1/2 her packs. I'm wondering if it's the folate or manganese or whatever, beets have so many benefits but are hard to get into ur diet.

I notice an almost instant difference when I juice beets.

Energy. I juiced kale, spinach, turmeric, beets, etc.. for months before I realized I only noticed a difference in the way I felt when there were beets in the mix.

It's no fun making those juices but it's a lot easier when you can just do shots of beet juice.

Beets, kale, spinach are very high in oxalates. You can get yourself in real trouble by eating too many foods with oxalates. Been there, done that, still suffering the effects.

Lymetoo, what do oxalates do? What are you dealing with from too much oxalates?

Perhaps our biochemistries are different enough that some of us can handle oxalates and some of us can't. I'm ok with that list, and I understand many can't, including you, Lymetoo -

For anyone who's been on the fluoroquinolones.. it's very important to know about oxalates. Even regular antibiotics can destroy so much good bacteria in our gut that we are unable to digest oxalates.

When that happens, the oxalates accumulate in places they should not be.

http://bioindividualnutrition.com/oxalates-their-influence-on-chronic-disease/

In large amounts, they are toxic FOR EVERYONE.

Did somebody say "Kale"? Hmmmmmm good! HA!

[Razz] :

I do like beets though, so this is interesting. And Droid is right. Juicing can be laborious.

Lymetoo, thanks for tip about oxalates

Robin, I got my package today - 30% discount on the new customer, I think it was - and tried the first package

great to take on the road!

should come in recyclable bottles - I think they are working on it

I will let you know how I do with the set

I do enjoy not having to juice when I am exhausted

maybe later in life again

Thanks so much for the post!

Yes, let us know how it is for you!

When I test-tasted them, I knew right away whether I liked the food combo in each of the four -

We got our package yesterday - hubby tried the purple one.

He didn't like the flavor - said it was worse than some of the Nutribullet mixes I make for him.

I tasted it and thought it was good! Reminded me of tomato juice. (I make my own V-8 juice)

He hates tomato juice - so he was not impressed with it!!

He did eat the whole 4 oz pack. He's been feeling really herxy - wondering if it was too much at one time for him?

He's going to wait till he feels better and then try again with just a small amount of it.

Harmony, how are you doing with it?

I hope I can figure out a way to hide the flavor for hubby.

I was ok with it [lick]

it's not ice cream, it's veggies, so I did not expect great flavor

I thought it was ok - I think I tired the purple one

I am just thrilled with the convenience to grab a chilled juice from the fridge without having to juice or wash and blend veggies

also, I always make too much because - well - if you are washing veggies already, why wash just one leaf of kale?

so this is nice for portion control, too

so we don't get too many oxalates?

when I make "stuff" I usually put a whole bunch of kale in, etc. - probably too much

other than that I did not have a remarkable reaction

will try the other three and see

Yes! I think there is something special about it

Thanks for letting us know about it, Robin!

I was thinking, in the last couple of days, how I feel so much clearer and have more engery

took my son to the doctor's office and then went to visit a friend and talked for an hour - normally I would be too tired after having made the doctor's visit

then I took care of some other chores and still planted some tomatoes in the evening!

unheard of

so I started thinking why this may be - until I remembered that you said the drinks gave you an energy boost

well - I have been drinking one a day for tha past few days!

not definite proof that it came from that - but possible and another data point

awesome!

Interesting feedback - thx -

MannaMe, did you get all four or just the purple one?

I noticed that I really wanted or didn't want some of the mixes. That's why I think the desire for each mix is going to vary for us, depending on what we need -

Harmony - exactly! I didn't know it was possible to wake up like that from literally being tired!

I had gone to the health food store to study the herb books there. The mix made my mind really clear, which really helped me read the info better.

I got all 4 kinds and he wanted the purple one the most.

He had been working and needed the 'Revive' I guess.

Still hasn't tried it again. Thought I'd add just a little bit to his regular smoothie and see how he feels.

He doesn't give up right away on trying something, but he will wait to recuperate before trying again.

I THINK purple kale is lower in oxalates. Eat small amounts.

Got my second order today!

Thanks again, Robin, for posting and Lymetoo, for the oxalates warning.

I am hoping the portions are small enough to be ok for me and my family.

I have not been on fluoroquinolones, I think

Also, when I make smoothies, the portions are huge compared to this

this is so cool for not having to make the smoothie and getting the nutrients when I otherwise would not have gotten any

like on the way to the hospital to take care of my son - ugh, this is so great!

it is pricy, but I use them sparingly, so ok
