"reported" is the key term here
Bet numbers for "identified in a timely manner" & "treated correctly" would be much lower, too.
In states with no LLMDs "allowed" yet with LL NDs, it's an easy bet as to just who are actually identifying the need for testing in patients. -

I see TN is very low. Yet on their state parks website they had a huge warning about ticks and Lyme--at least they did when I looked earlier this summer as I thought about hiking there.
I certainly don't believe the total number of Lyme cases is accurate, either, for that many years.
