I am reaching out to everyone in hopes that they can refer my 14-year-old daughter to an LL M.D. in the Delaware area.
Willing to travel within several hours of Delaware. This forum literally saved my husband's life and my sanity in 2004 when my husband had neurological Lyme due to a delay in diagnosis.
My daughter pulled a live tick from her ear 8/21 and we saw her pediatrician next day. She had been reporting feeling something moving around in her ear for about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks,
but this is how she usually reports a wax build up, so I had told her we would get an appt to see the pediatrician. I feel awful that it turned out not to be wax, but instead
attack.Despite having fatigue, headache and an enlarged lymph node in her neck she refused to start antibiotics and wanted
to get labs first.I had attempted to get her an appointment with the infectious disease Doctor who is an LLMD in NJ, but found
out that he retired and the new doc does not except patients under 16 and was not able to identify a referral for kids under 16
I sent the tick to UMASS in Amherst, Mass but I want my girl started on antibiotics As I know every day counts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
