This is the hot new supplement which is supposed to correct mitochondrial deficiency, seen as the cause of many degenerative diseases.
It contains nicotinamide riboside which is a precursor to NAD, a substance needed by the mitochondria to produce energy for the cell.
I am currently taking this, but not the Elysium product. There are three or four companies selling their versions of it. They all obtain the NR (aka Niagen) from a company named Chromadex.
There is some good science behind it, and clinical trials are ongoing.
I've only been on it for a couple weeks, so too early to judge, but I am hopeful. I am taking a double-dose, which some people feel is the best way to go. I also take it with Pterostilbene which is like a super-resveratrol and which is supposed to enhance the effect of the NR.
