Sunday-Anything goes on this thread for exercise! What? Did a load of laundry? That counts as exercise! Did dishes? That counts too!

Are we ready for another week of moving and grooving?

Here we go.........

hi guys...ive been mia im having so many phone and toxin troubles all i can do is laundry shower and hide from emfs

i did a little outside so far to get ready for winter but am behind schedule it was all supposed to be done today and wont be

i didnt talk about it much before cuz its embarrassing but i mostly take a shower when i have to leave house and just use wipes and change pjs on other days so averaged a shower once or twice a week now i am taking a few a day and at lease once sitting on shower chair as low as it will go in tub and using epsom salt bath...once i did borax and once baking soda and i think i can ad peroxide but i have to find my list of detox stuff computer is talking back to me about that

i am reading a book by Jane Lim...gettting confused...some things ring so true and others i just dont understand but i think it made me understand i have histamine problem and mast cell reactions but this is all new to me...and really im only a few weeks away from this big surgery and i have so many other things to do just for survival i dont know if its a good time to try to learn something new...i have thougt of calling tutu a few times about it but there is just so much to keep doing to keep the burning toxin stuff away...a small amount of mold might be back and i have a guy coming wed to open walls...maybe that is jacking up my emfs...idk i know a lot and i am trying to figure this out but rules seem to be changing

hows your mom ak?

hope hiker got some rest this weekend

never know about you ms tutu...busy bee and party animal even tho you cant eat food...

i have to use computer now and its set up in a good place...

i am sad i missed bday party today and hope someone finds time to send me pics...on computer not phone...this is all gonna cramp my fb time...but i did join a new group about mast cell i think

yesterday i went for quick drive to ocean air and forgot trump was in town omg i went right by where he was. an hour before he got there then i hung out at beach until i thought i saw his plane leave and took the long way around to miss the crowd

but...they had made thses ppl park 3 or 4 miles away and walk! and they were supposed to get tickets but they were long gone so they were all in the road...woman with 4 inch heels!!!

i was freakin out...i didnt see guns but i would have been stuck if something happened there were arguments all over...what a mess

someone said 70k showed up but i kinda doubt that...they sold tickets and filled up a touota dealers parking lot

anyway...i did get a little air and made it home safe

take care...i want to hear about aks mom...

AK--Thanks for starting thread. How's your mom.

LP--I am sorry you missed the Bday party, but glad you made it to the beach.

I did early voting yesterday at the mall--in an out in 5 minutes.

Well, AK, if laundry counts I really got a lot of exercise. I always do 3-4 loads of laundry on Sunday and since my washer/dryer is downstairs I have made over 10 trips up and down for various reasons.

Also walked about 25 minutes. Very nice and warming up into the 80's tomorrow before getting cool again at the end of the week.

My mom has her eye surgery Th, but they won't call and give her the time until Wed. afternoon. That's ridiculous to make someone sit from 12-5 to get the call and only the day prior.

I think I will call the MD office tomorrow or Tuesday and try to find out. It will put her mind at ease and make it easier for me to plan. I am getting a sub that day and taking her and I live over an hour away.

Have a super week.

Kayak .. I sent you a message. Hope you can figure things out very soon. You have to find out if it might be MCAS since you are approaching surgery. I really didn't feel that your symptoms matched, but maybe they do.

Stay away from ALL chemicals.

AK .. I hope that cutting back on her meds will help and that this will get better very very soon!
Yes, washing clothes COUNTS for exercise!

I am doing the same thing now, while cooking a chicken. It's late, but we'll be gone tomorrow and I need the food!

Kayak .. I can eat some things, but with little to NO spice... so it's nearly impossible to eat out. I do manage to eat salads and use a tiny bit of ranch dressing.

hiker... Is your mom having cataract surgery? I know any time I've had surgery, they made me call the night before .. or they called me. They get cancellations and such up to the last minute, I'm sure.

We had a busy day at church and then ate out and then took naps. Hubby went to his show and I'm staying home. We have to drive to Arkansas for the dentist again, so I have to conserve my energy.

hiker they have done that for me with surgeries for a long time its in case emergencies come in that are not planned because im hypoglycemic they try to get me in early...if your mom has some other medical thing it might help them know more about the time earlier

tutu im on computer now...im not sure if i can go look at message now...i will pm you my email...i have new sx of burning skin and burning tongue and breath...that some say it might be the mast cell thing...the idea is that my mcs is going crazy and i am reacting to things i never reacted to before...like the phone

i have hated eating out for a long time...it mostly doesnt taste like food to me i think its all gmo and chemicals

ok...turning off wifi for now

Tutu--MD thinks my mom has cancer in her eyes and it is growing into the cornea (perhaps a type of melanoma). So, please say some prayers.

They will do the worst eye Thursday and I have no idea about the other eye. She is 89 and has waited since June for this, so I pray it goes forward.

Sunday-My Mom fell again today. I could barely help her up and totally tweaked my back. Still trying to plug away at home therapy when I can.

She's more coherent but so darn weak! I had to cancel her Hawaii trip on the 25th.

Hope she can recover.

Kayak-Well, welcome to the MCAS club! TuTu has helped me a lot trying to navigate unknown territory. I'm still able to eat most foods but do react to some. Cigarette smoke, mold, wine and narcotics really do a number on me. It's been a slow learning process for me trying to figure out my triggers. Am hoping we can all help each other.

Hiker-Oh no! Your poor Mom! I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I know you're glad to take off of work to be there for her. Please let us know how she's doing.

TuTu-Sounds like you're super busy! A nap sounds wonderful! I haven't been sleeping that much since my Mom hurt her back last Sunday. I could nap but can't seem to relax enough. Guess I'm too worried.

I sure hope we all have a wonderful week!

[group hug]

AK--I ma so sorry your mom cannot go to Hawaii and hope she and your back recover quickly.

LP--Hope you can get testing done to confirm mast cell activation disorder.

Busy at work as quarter is ending. Have one more set of papers to grade tomorrow for that (then only 3 quarters to go--LOL)

40 mph wind gusts today are keeping me from my walk unless I want to fly backwards.

Monday-My Mom didn't fall today and she ate and drank a little more. She requested certain foods so I was busy cooking and cleaning the kitchen today.

I'm bushed!

See you all tomorrow!

wow...a lot going on prayers for both moms. hope everyone can sleep and rest and stay strong

i had good news from cancer doc...she thinks the new lump is scar tissue...its pretty big and has been keeping me from sleeping shes ordering mri...you have to lie on your belly and its really hard for me to do that because of my knees...but its the best test...if i cant do it i have to have another mammand ultrasound and i can tell doc relly didnt want me to have another mamm until we understand what is going on

ak...i am not dx with mcad...im really ignrent about it...the 4 things that are your triggers have bothered me for a long time...i read a book and i keep having burning skin from certain objects that didnt bother me before so maybe it is me not the objects but im not sure there is a burning toxin on the mold sites called hell toxin...it might be that or it might be a combo of me being bombarded by too much toxins and mold and chemicals etc

its not figured out yet but im still planning on this surgery and its gonna be a ruff recovery...arm in sling for 6 weeks...cant use it at all..no driving...im not sure how i will dress fix food even bathroom will be tricky and caring for etta...i have some ppl lined up to help...not sure what ins will give me but im sure it wont be enough

it hurs to sit here i just hope things get easier for all of us and our loved ones

I've recently forced myself to start going back to the gym again. It's really great at relieving stress. Been managing to go twice a week which is a great start I feel.

Welcome, Andy, and good for you going back to the gym. What kind of exercises do you do there?

Guess my main exercise was dragging the hose across the yard to water my tree.

Does grading papers and exercise my fingers count? [Big Grin]

LP--Hang in there and just do what you can.

Tuesday-Had to go into PT today. As expected SI and neck joints might be locked up again. Will find out next week when expert therapist returns from vacay.

Ran errands today for about 2 1/2 hours. Josh sat with my Mom so I could get things done.

So tired!

hi hiker53! For now I've been just getting in a quick run or even walk on the treadmill. It's starting to get cold outside and I won't want to be out in that.

hi neighbor lpkayak [Smile] how are things up there. I'm guessing it's gorgeous this time of year.

Tutu...if not that I called you

Andy...yes it is. I'm near Portsmouth and go to beach a lot when wind is off water...helps my lungs

Handyman came today and really worked well with me to find source of new mold smell. Its under kitchen floor which is reasonably new but the put plywood directly on slab and with no ventilation the condensation makes mold

I decided to seal it as best I can until January...hopefully my sling will be off and I 'll be better able to take care of myself. Kitchen will have to be sealed off while he demo s it until it is clean and sealed. So it will be a pain but since room is where heater is I'm pretty sure it will grow slow now until Jan

He's coming back to do a few small things to improve ventilation

It could have been much worse

Jam had an unexpected expense concerning homeowners ins that is a problem but expects to have her car back very soon

A k ...so sorry it is so hard. I hope it sorts itself out. I didn't realize you couldn't leave your mom alone. Thank goodness for josh

Oh, OK.. I was wondering. I was in the shower and only looked at my phone after you said that.

So sorry you are dealing yet again with mold.

I'm off to the show tonight and will meet up with a couple that I met last year at another show. They live in Alabama.

My mom had her eye surgery today. Long day as she got bumped and was very anxious waiting. Glad that is over and the MD was pretty sure the growth is benign.

Just got back and have to deal with the misbehavior of students with my substitute today. They will each get detentions. They know better and none of these kids give me any trouble.

Off to watch some of the Cubs game and then hit the hay.

That is great news .. I do hope it IS benign!!

Oh, don't you hate having substitutes! The kids always take advantage.

My new friends from Alabama enjoyed the show last night and today I met them for another and then hubby joined us for supper. It was really nice.

She wants me to join them again on Sunday for another show. I think that one is free. Let's hope! HA!! Thank goodness I get discounts.

The weather is cooler now, so we're hoping to get some fall color soon. Hope all the leaves don't fall off first! Last year was pathetic.

PS .. I've missed exercise all week .. I may go tomorrow.

My computer is down so I'm having to use my phone for the internet. I hate it! Being on Facebook is OK, but being here is a pain. Oh well.

Kayak, all you need to be careful of is what foods they will feed you in the hospital and what meds they will give you for pain. That can be important.

Friday-Another busy day with my Mom. Didn't sleep well last night. Around 1:00 a.m. a cop car with lights and siren going sped right up our street. Scared me so I couldn't go to sleep until around 6 this morning and got up at 10.

Just therapy here and there today and reheated leftovers and did dishes.

Andy-Welcome to the thread!

Kayak-I left her alone a couple times but I wait until she's asleep to go get a couple gallons of water. I come straight home. If I wasn't so worried about her falling I'd go do my errands. You're right though, thank God for Josh!

TuTu-Hey, you've met folks from my neck of the woods! Glad to hear you're having a good time. I didn't realize it was still that hot in MO! Bet your friends feel right at home with the heat!

Hiker-Am hoping that it will be benign! I know you're relieved it's over and I hope your Mom recovers quickly!

Hoping to get some shut eye after my Mom's midnight meds.

See you all tomorrow!

[hi]

Glad the very long week is over. Just doing odds and ends around the house today. I need to find a neighbor to hang up my bike in the basement. I got it out this spring, but then rarely rode it.

Once the bike is put away, then I have that space in the garage for my patio chairs and tiny outside tables.

My heat has kicked on the past few evenings. The transition to cooler weather is always hard and I crank the heat up. As I get used to it I can lower it again.

Lp--When is surgery date? My shoulder problem was never bad enough that I couldn't put on a shirt, although I avoid those that pulled over the head for awhile and wore zip sweatshirts.

Ak--So sorry to hear your mom is still down and out. It can happen so quickly. Hang in there.

Tutu--Hope your computer works soon. Glad you come visit us on your phone!

So windy here today, that walking outside doesn't even seem like fun. But I did drag the hoses around the yard to water the newer trees and pulled a few weeds.

Will turn on the TV to watch Michigan rout the Illini (poor U of I) and then watch the Cubs tonight.

Saturday-Took my Mom to her GP's walk-in clinic today. She saw a NP and he put her on a stronger pain pill and told her its OK to lay down whenever she wants. This is the exact opposite what her GP said.

Since 4 this afternoon she's been in bed. I don't see her recovering any time soon. If she starts to fall again I might have to put her somewhere with people that can lift her. Very depressing.....

Hiker-I'm so glad to have some cooler weather! I feel like I can finally breathe. I had planned on doing a lot of outdoor projects once it cooled down but between my Mom and back everything is on hold.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
