Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

I try to be kind and gracious, but Doctors and staff who ignore my PCP's warning and try to prescribe an ABX that I have serious allergy to, really really get to me sometimes.

After the Uro' Dr.,ignored my Doctors allergy warning and tried to prescribe something dangerous for me, when he found out his error...HE EXCUSED ME AS A PATIENT... and told me to go to an ID DR. We complained to the State Medical Examiner.

Now yesterday and today, his staff is trying to get me to keep an appointment we canceled many weeks ago. They called yesterday and again today.

I made sure they knew [a robo- call type thing, press this #for xyz etc. no we cancelled.]We cancelled.

Staff called back today, a real person... '...I said this was cancelled weeks ago, we've already complained to the Medical Examiner, would you like to make it a second complaint.

... Please take us off your list and stop calling here.'... She said ,'Okay, thank you goodbye.'. I guess they tho't we were not serious. Perhaps they cannot read, write type, or take proper notes from phone calls...and all need retraining.

Their "Dr." told them to tell me he couldn't help me any further.... AAArrghhhhh.....OuWoooooOuwooooWoooo.

Trying not to let this get to me...lots to do today and an early day tomorrow, I don't need the extra stresses. I'll have TxCoord address it when he gets back from errands.

Hi <<<<< randibear >>>>>,

Yeah it makes you wonder, how can they be so careless?!

I has happened to me twice now, so I started double checking. Life threatening drugs/Allergies are a scary situation.

Having had a seizure, and been so in pain,I couldn't walk,or go to the bathroom alone,And I couldn't lift my head up,literally[that one was statins, and yup, the Dr/staff were warned].
And this time an ABX, we caught it before they ever ordered it.

And so the 'Urologist Doctor' threw a fit of peak, and excused me...' Well I can't help you, go to an ID Dr.'... No recommend who, nothing.

And so now they want me to keep the appointment..well as we say... breathe, breathe deep, and try to keep going.

Thanks for the commiserations, I am sorry to hear it has happened to you as well. Bet there are lots of horror stories around like ours.
