Had a great morning! I'm really tired though because we had a brunch at church and there was nothing I could eat. When we came home I had to fix something. Sigh.

We had a brief communion service and then followed it with a viewing of "God's Not Dead 2" .. It was really really good! I saw the first one about 2 years ago. Very different but still prompts a lot of thought!! Highly recommended!

Sorry to hear that AK's mom is still not doing well. Prayers for her, AK!

kayak .. Same for you and your brother. I hope things turn around soon for each of you.

From 80 degrees yesterday to 60 today. Brr.

Did my prayer walk for 30 minutes.

Doing some laundry and odds and ends around the house.

I will keep everyone in my prayers this week.

Sunday-Thanks TuTu for starting the thread. I've been eating junk for days! I'm just grabbing what I can when I remember to eat.

Hiker-Glad you were able to get in a walk this weekend.

Kayak-Is your shoulder surgery the 9th of November?

My Mom is out of ICU and should be released tomorrow. They don't know what caused her heart attack. That worries me.

See you all tomorrow!

AK... She could have had an episode of A-Fib that didn't show up when she was checked. It can come and go.

Monday-Mom home from hospital. She had a myocardial infarction? So she's on an additional blood pressure med, plavix, baby aspirin and a cholesterol lowering drug. They also put her on a heart healthy diet, home health and therapy.

A lot for me to handle with a hurt back and my histamine issues. Hopefully I can take good care of the two of us.

My Mom actually mentioned eating what I normally eat, super healthy with lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and low fat meats.

I'm excited about that and hope I can make things she'll enjoy.

For exercise today I'm counting being at the hospital from 10:45 til around 7. Picking up meds and getting my Mom settled in.

Tomorrow I'm up early for 2 rounds of therapy and home health is coming out. So another busy day!

Hope everyone here is doing great!

I should be asleep but can't seem to. I did sleep a few hrs after crazy day that included they found something on MRI that needs ultrasound. Then possible biopsy. I won't do another lumpectomy if pos. It will be mastectomy and probably both. Whew. Didn't see this coming less than a week from surgery. Surgery could be postponed. I spent a day at beach with son and brother. I guess its good I am on speaking terms with brother but I really am not comfortable with him. We are very different. In a few hours I go to pre o.o appt at hosp for surgery that might get canceled. I also have follow up with back doc. I'm so exhausted but can't sleep.

A k I pray you have the strength. My days of physically helping others are gone. When I helped my mom I was working raising kids had a barn full of horses...then I started Lyme tx after 15 yrs un diagnosed with Lyme and had to send mom to my brother. She was with him a week. Broke hip and into nursing home for 7 yrs.

I'm glad I was able to give her the yr with family ... That's what you're doing now a k. Hard to believe this happened after all the running around with her brother

Well...hang in everyone. Maybe I can sleep now after dumping on you guys! Oh lordy...gotta love this life.

Ak--still praying for your mom and your sanity [Eek!] You have a lot to deal with right now.

LP--Thinking positive thoughts that your biopsy will be normal.

I have been under the weather a bit. Stayed home from work yesterday. So tired and massive headache. I got a great sub or I would sucked it up and gone in. Feel better today.

Cut my middle finger of my right hand on Saturday right at the tip and it keeps opening back up. Makes typing on the computer a little hard. Probably should have gotten a stitch or two, but at the time I just shrugged it off.

My mom is doing ok. Hard for to see out of her eye that was operated on. Waiting for it to heal to find out if she needs the growth from the other eye removed.

World Series night. Do or die for the Cubs.

Tuesday-My therapy went as expected. Neck and SI joint locked up again.

Been crazy busy! Have to take my Mom's BP twice a day before I give her one of her new meds. Fixed breakfast, lunch and dinner, cleaned kitchen and did two loads of laundry. Then had to run and get groceries.

And for fun I did my therapy off and on throughout the day.

TuTu-I sure will tell her! She'll be thrilled! I told her everyone was praying for her and she was so touched.

Kayak-Oh no! Please let us know the results. OMG! When it rains it pours, huh?

In regards to my Mom, I think all the running around this summer contributed greatly to her health now. She pushed and pushed herself to keep going so her and her brother would have a memorable time. I'd mention that too her but she was sure this would be the last time they could see each other. I couldn't argue with that!

Hiker-Happy to hear your Mom is doing OK. I hope you're taking care of yourself!

See you all tomorrow!

Stayed up to watch the World Series and then couldn't sleep. Go Cubs.

Great day at work. Came home and about ready to go for walk and it started thundering and raining.

So, I rode the exercise bike for 10 minutes. Need to work back up on that machine.

Sky looks very foreboding. In for some severe thunderstorms.

Sorry you're hurting tutu. Why?

Hiker good to hear the kids were good hiker and your mom is hanging in.

And a k. S o o o much to do. I thought of you today. The ultrasound lady mentioned she worked in Alaska 30 years ago. It was in a place way out. She said Eskimos. My
s i l in Alaska is a klinqet...probable spelled that wrong

Yesterday I found out I need MRI of lower back and eventually surgery

I also passed all tests for shoulder surgery so that was confirmed for next wed

Today a mammo and ultrasound confirmed Brest MRI was right and there are two masses. One very concerning

So they tried to biopsy both but I could only handle one. The doc was great and what he was doing didn't hurt but the positioning was really hard on me and I didn't eat right cuz I thought I had gone for 1 he and it turned into 4 so I was dizzy and shoulder hurt bad and back was spasming

Results back 2-3 days...not sure If it will be Fri or Mon. It sounds like I have to postpone shoulder surgery. Because i would be hard to plan what to do before then. But waiting until I recover
Will be too long to put cancer surgery off

I really wish my oncologist was not away. I really like her. And need to hear what she thinks. I should probably go read all of robins stuff about cancer

Take care everyone

What a sad situation, kayak. I'm so sorry. Too much pain and suffering, that's for sure.

Hiker .. hope your Cubbies win. Then all the Cubs fans can quit complaining. lol

My stomach was a mess this morning because I tried to eat foods that sometimes don't go well. Actually it started last night. The good news is that it got better and I was able to do everything I needed and wanted to do today.

I'm really tired and need to get to bed. This World Series game needs to hurry up. [Big Grin]

We're down the home stretch with the shoe boxes. We got all the pictures and Bible verses in them. I'm so pleased! Gotta get more underwear and socks tomorrow and make more bracelets.

Hoping to make it for bloodwork tomorrow morning.

Hi...well some good stuff is happening...huh hiker!?!

I have minor pain in the breast but I am following doc orders to not do much. It could start bleeding if I overdo and I don't want an ER trip on top of all of this.

Oldest son knows what is going on and will be there for me. My daughter called and we had a better talk than usual. She shared frustration of trying to get pregnant for 5 yrs. I have asked before but she never told me what is going on. Its nice when we have a close moment like that

Hope a k s day is going ok

Glad you feel a little better tutu

Lp--I am thinking positive thoughts that your biopsy will be normal. Is this the same breast you had cancer in before?

I will be in baseball withdrawal tonight. I went to bed last night at the rain delay, but couldn't sleep so got up to see the end of the game.

We were all zombies at school today. I called one child "Kidney" of instead of "Kennedy" and felt so bad about that. But kind of funny (not for her, though)

Walked 20 minutes after work, which was pretty good since on feet doing microscope lab today and will do so again tomorrow (which means more papers to grade).

Hang tough, everyone! [kiss]

Thursday-Very busy. I'm on doxicycline for awhile again for a cyst. Oh joy!

Mom is hanging in there and therapists helped a lot. Need to put grab bars in tub area and hand rail from carport into kitchen door.

Kayak-You're in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know what's going on.

Hiker-I wish I didn't get rid of my stair climber. It provided an awesome workout and doubled as a towel rack. [Big Grin]

TuTu-You guys are really knocking out those boxes! I know you enjoy those labors of love. Amazing how small acts of love and kindness end up meaning the most in our lives.

Well, as usual, you guys are awesome! So glad to come here regularly.

Busy day. Papers are graded. Lessons are ready to go for next week.

Stopped at the library after school, then did a quick 15 minute walk before seeing energy healer. She worked on my sinuses. Prepare for toxins.

Stopped at grocery store on way home. Now time to relax.

Friday-Another crazy busy day! Mom had 2 therapy sessions and the nurse come out. Then took Mom to her GP appt. From there dropped off my neice's b-day card at my brother's job. (Neice is turning 17). Then on to Ft Benning to gas up Mom's car, pick up her meds and make one of her payments. Mom came with me so I borrowed a wheelchair from the PX and wheeled her around the post mall. She did great and was happy to get out of the house.

So all the running around today was my exercise!

Glad to read everyone is doing OK here. See you all tomorrow!

Well everyone sure is busy. Hope the cyst responds to foxy. I never heard of that Before.

Yes hiker same breast. There are 2 spots confirmed by MRI mammo and ultrasound

The larger one is the most suspicious they said because it is irregular. But my daughter said its possible its an Ikea infection.

No results yet and if they are neg I have to have other lump biopsied. I can't see any way this can be ruled out before tues so I'm sure shoulder surgery will be canceled...but it hasn't yet so I am following protocol for surf...no fish oil v it e flax oil ibuprofen turmeric reveratrol or milk gristle or Ginko and I now know how much they help with pain cuz it's pretty bad

I can't do much so am mostly distracting myself with tv and stuff. I took e t t a out yesterday to chase leaves. That was fun

LP--Hope you get the biopsy results early on Monday. Waiting is so hard.

AK--Glad you could get your mom out and about.

Tutu--Hope you got those 200 boxes packed today. There will be a lot of happy faces when those are opened.

Energy healer did indeed kill off some or all of my sinus infection. Very toxic today.

I did go for a 25 minute walk with my poles.

I have gained weight since the summer and now my pants are not fitting. I need to cut down on the junk food that I like and that is so addictive and stay away from the secretary's desk at school (she always has chocolate out)

I hate clothes shopping, so exercise and watching my diet should be good incentive for me.

Don't forget to turn your clocks back!!

Saturday-I'm paying big time right now for overdoing it. Had to take a pain pill and muscle relaxer again!

Felt good today so started the day by making me and Mom bruscetta, (I know-bread and cheese-no no on my list).

Then swept, vacuumed and mopped all the floors. Did laundry, more cooking and dishes, put porta pottie and hasack in shed. Cleaned garbage can, set table with fall linens, straightened up dining room and living room. Oh, and dumped out garbage.

Now I'm laying down and watching TV and can hardly move! I know....my own fault, but darn the house looks so much better.

Anyone else getting ready for the holidays?

I hear you on the shopping for new clothes, hiker. I like shopping, but not the spending part. I've lost a few pounds just cutting out stuff I shouldn't be eating.

Glad things are looking up for your mom, AK! Your niece is lucky to have such a great family. You all sound like you enjoy each other. I miss being around my family so much.

kayak .. Will continue to pray for you. I hope all will be OK. [group hug]

Speaking of praying, my sister in law choked on Thursday and my brother had to call 911. She cleared the food not too long after the ambulance came. They took her to the hospital to make sure she was OK.

I know she's now afraid to eat any solids. I wish we could go home NOW .. but I also know she's "OK" .. for now. She even went up to my brother's former workplace to thank everyone for their prayers the same day.

All went very well at church today. We were finished in about 3 hours. More than 200 boxes. I bought some more items this afternoon and we will finish up more boxes at church tomorrow. It would be fun to beat last year's record of 216!

I really was not as tired today as I was after working all day Friday.

Watching the Spurs game right now. They are having a very good start to their season! They are behind right now, but could still come back.

Nite, nite, everyone!
