Hi <<<<< Lymenet Family >>>>>,

I've been wondering about how common it is to have family and friends die on or near Holidays. Not trying to bring anyone down, just trying to process

So far we've had family deaths on my birthday, Valentine's day, Easter,Mother's day weekend, Father's Day, The day after TrekCoords birthday, and a day or two after Christmas.

Two were nearer Thanksgiving ,but not w/in 24 hours either side. So,altho' I love Holidays it makes me a bit apprehensive sometimes.

I know dying happens, and I try to give it all to Creator... it still isn't easy. Hoping going to Grief Share can help me get it into perspective.

Anyways, just wondering as I wander.

Hi <<<<< randibear >>>>>,

Extra hugs [group hug] [group hug] [group hug]

It seems like it is increasing, doesn't it,and so close together.

Sometimes I don't want to check e-mails or answer the phone. There aren't many left in my family or TrekCoords now . TrekC/TxC is the oldest person left in his family now.

Are there any Grief Share groups near Y'all? We started going to one Sunday. Have to do something, it just gets to heavy.

It just keeps happening, and I know folks don't mean to sound 'Cliche',but when they say. 'Well you are just at that time of life this is bound happen.'. It has been happening since I was a small child.

So was I always at that time of Life??? Okay 'Greats' and 'Great Greats' among relatives and close family friends, yeah I can see. But folks in their 20's,30's and 40's Not good...

TrekC's younger brother was just 44, and left three kids behind, two weren't out of their teens yet. His wife was devastated.

There were more deaths on or near Holidays,in our family, both sides but it gets to much to contemplate sometimes. I am sorry y'all are getting hit so hard too. That's a lot in a year and a half to go thru.

We lost four family members this year, and 2 friends one I've known since grade school. It's never easy.

To all suffering loss [group hug] [group hug] [group hug]

I think it's from the associated stress of the holidays, esp Christmas.

I just attended a funeral today. The guy was a Veteran. Pretty appropriate.

Hi <<<<< randibear, and Lymetoo >>>>>,

Extra hugs for both of you!!

[group hug] [group hug] [group hug]

Randi' all I know to do is keep on praying and giving all of us to the Lord. It is somewhat discomfiting to say the least. But I believe He has our life and times in his hands. So I just hold on to that.

Lymetoo, I do think some of the deaths are stress related to around Holidays. Sorry to hear y'all lost another friend. But as you say, it is a fitting time for a funeral since the friend was a Vet.

My Grandpa died on my birthday, back when I was fifteen,I still miss him, miss them each one. I couldn't wish them back, they are no longer in pain. Still not easy tho'.

I'll check back in later...
