Hey gang! It's Sunday! We're off to a new week. Let's make it a good one!!
Hope everyone is OK today. We had a great time back at our home church. They said they missed us. That is something I'd like to believe!
I'm tired though. I need a nap!
Kayak .. Please go read my note to you yesterday on the exercise thread.

Tutu--Happy napping! Thanks for starting this week's thread.
I walked 30 minutes. I am thrilled to be able to get outside but it will be a bit harder once the work week starts.
I can already tell that a few days of not using the exercise bike is helping my knee and back. I need to start doing other exercises indoors so if the weather doesn't allow for outdoor walks, I can get some exercise besides biking.
In another year I can join the senior citizens activity center for $25 (for the whole year) and use their exercise equipment. Perhaps this is the only time I wish I was a bit older so I could use it now. LOL
Off to call my mom and then watch some football.

Sunday-Thanks TuTu for getting us going! Another lazy day for me with no exercise.
TuTu-I fell asleep watching Frozen around 8:30 and just woke up! Sure hope I can get back to sleep!
Hiker-Congrats on the 30! Did you say $25 a year?!? I need to look into a senior center too. Course I did think that if I went to the rehab gym after 5 I might possibly meet someone.
Anyways....on that depressing note....I'll leave you guys until tomorrow.

AK--Yep $25 per year!! Can't wait to turn 55!! Don't think I will be picking up any men at the senior citizen's center, though. I'll let God work that out for me!
Went to ENT after work and sat for 45 minutes for a 1 minute check of ear tube. All is fine.
Managed a brisk trek outside before it got dark(24 minutes)
Time for dinner!

hiker .. $25 is good! I pay $25 for 12 sessions .. so that's about 6 wks.
I can go to the YMCA for free if I want to. It's farther from my house though. I used to belong to the Y. I need to go check it out. I haven't been there in years.
One of my friends teaches Zumba, but I don't think I'm up for that!
Had a busy day .. did some shopping. Important things like underwear, ya know.
Our K-Mart is also closing, so I found some jeans there for $12 each. They fit really well, so I was happy!
We have to travel 2 hours to our dentist tomorrow. It will be a good outing, but tiring too.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!
Where's kayak?
PS.. Kam hasn't been feeling well lately. She showed a cute pic of Rosie today. Hope she can figure out why she feels worse.

Ak. I'm sorry. I hope it gets straightened out soon
I'm gonna have spurts of being really busy. Surgery is in 2 weeks and 2 days I think. 2/8.
I got 4-5 hours sleep last night cuz of pain and itching but I made myself get up and out early so I would be back before the storm hits
I had to drive half hour to hospital I had surgery in to pick up surgery report for new anesthesiologists so they don't give me drugs I'm allergic to...well. Not exactly allergy.. But close enough
There was valet parking but I had to walk a really long way with my walker And it hurt a lot and was definitely exercise
When I got out it was spitting snow with really strong wind off ocean so I drive down and back the beach road with windows open and then got home wit no trouble. Gassed up car. Bought some munchies.. Good chance we will lose power
Came home and took Etta for a walk to end of road and back. I was in wc but it tired me out
Came in and started dealing with laundry...have to keep it organized what makes my skin burn and what doesn't. Made a beef stew with left over veggies and organic beef. That will be easy to warm up on propane stove if power goes off. 6 servings. Froze half.
Cleaned up kitchen. Talked to friend on computer for awhile. Got to know each other better. She had to move to Mexico to get away from mold. She had to give her dog to a friend to keep cuz she started getting sick from dog. Sad. She misses him
Tooke detox bath. Still doing laundry. Found candles and oil lamps and crashed. I didn't fall asleep right away so I'm here. I think I can sleep now. We might get 50mph winds and a lot of ice

LP--Hope you still have power.
Went to chiropractor after work. Then walked 23 minutes. Same route as yesterday but a little faster since rain was starting.
Back to winter tomorrow with a little snow.
Saying prayers for Kam.

Ak .. I hope today is a little bit better than yesterday was .. . I know it will take some time.
kayak.. ugh to the ice and loss of power.. let's hope not!
I hope your friend knows about MCAS. I have another friend with mold issues who is just now realizing it's MCAS with a mold trigger. So sad to lose a pet .. when maybe it didn't have to be that way.
We went to Arkansas today to see the dentist. We stopped at a cafe there that was supposed to be good .. but it was only so-so. We came home and crashed. I just got up .. and only with an alarm!
I knew I'd sleep too long if I didn't set an alarm.
So .. no exercise for me today.. Lots of sitting~!

Tuesday-Home and slept until 4 this afternoon. Finally resolved things with Mom and hoping she'll wear her hearing aid. So hard to communicate with her and it causes a lot of unnecessary strife.
Thank you all for the encouragement.
No exercise today.

Went to oncologist today for checkup after surgery. Good news. I don't need chemo or radiation. I could take a pill but I don't want to and she didn't push me at all
She said some good things about my intuition. I never felt the real cancer. I felt something else and because of that she ordered MRI and thr found tiny cancer
She thinks someone from above is helping me and she said she would never dismiss any feeling I had...
I was there 3 hrs. She ordered ultrasound on the leg I am having surgery on because it burns so much. She was looking for blood clot but it was neg
At home I'm having major problems with toxin from new chair. I spread it all over house and Etta is spreading it more
I ruined the old recliner chair...now its contaminated
I'm going to have to get the old chair and new chair out of here. The only room I don't feel burning skin is bathroom and bedroom. I've been in bed since I came home
I have to fix this. I can't get comfortable except bed for 3_4 hrs
I really don't know what to do. Too tired to figure it out now
Good u got that appt out of the way tutu
A k so sorry that all happened. Life is just so hard without extra stuff like that
Hiker.. I watch what you do...and know that's what I should be doing. Justcant get it all together yet

kayak.. Good to hear about the intuition. We women have it all going on.
I wish you could find a comfortable chair .. how about a leather one? Or even a fake leather one? We have one from Lazy Boy that is fake leather and it's very soft .. looks great but is not "slick" like leather.

I got the Transitions feature that also blocks SOME blue light. When outside they turn a little bluish/pinkish. .. which is fine.
I'm so far behind on technology that I thought you had to have glass lenses in order to get the Transitions. Sheesh. LOL
I don't wear glasses much, anyway. I don't need them in order to drive, and I wore contacts for 40+ years.

Wednesday-Did 2 DVDs, Zumba and the inner thigh torture machine (3 sets of 12).
Had a nice conversation with one of the ladies in my Zumba class. She's divorced and we were talking about my upcoming divorce. Made me feel better.
Today was my birthday and I went to Ruby Tuesday's with Josh. My Mom couldn't make it because one of her friends daughter passed away so she went to the viewing.
We met up later for cake and ice cream and we all had a great time!
Thank you guys for all your support! Family strife is so heartrending. I'm so relieved this blew over so quickly.
See you all tomorrow!

Happy birthday a k !!!
Ty guys for caring about chair problem. I talked to tutu and told her chairs I bought over 5 yrs ago were always fine. Its been recent. Its happening to a lot of ppl. Even the sales ppl know. I went into one of the better stores and when I sat in a really comfy chair the salesman got really uncomfortable and told me my face was getting really red and maybe I should. Leave...he was nice...just scared and worried about me and gave up on making a sale
I have been increasing my mcad meds. Doc increased them and said if I have break thru sx to take more
I'm bot positive but I think when I have more meds in me I don't feel burning anywhere as much
Oh and I was wrong to say it was flame retardant. In some cases it might be but tags on chairs said no. Some say when furniture is made overseas...and most is or parts of it is...the materials can be very toxic and off gas forever
I think that's what is happening
I have the new chair covered with 3 thick quilts. Some ppl say cotton is a better way to stop it
My old chair got contaminated when I sat in it after sitting in new chair and now I have that covered with 2 m l plastic it doesn't bother me when I walk by. I will probably try to sit in it later
I dropped Etta st daycare this morning. I'm taking her every Thursday there isn't a storm for the day so she gets used to going and having me pick her up. One time when I picked her up from boarding for 3 weeks she was shell shocked and didn't know who I was...it was so sad
I hope taking her and picking her up once a week will make her know I will come back if she has to stay over for surgery
My poor baby. That's the hardest part of surgery for me now
When I came back I stated out chopping ice and tipping over rain barrels for a long time. My hands are really hurting bad from doing that everyday. I probably should have paid plow guy even tho it was only a couple inches. I have to go out again at 3 to chop more then pick up Etta at4
2 hrs isn't enough time to do what I'm supposed to do today. I need to prep for appt tomorrow at hospital where I will see surgery nurses and anesthesiologists. I'm glad I have report that shows meds that didn't kill me
Yesterday after pre op with primary...such a stupid appt. They never help me and even tho I wear a mask I always get sick in that building...like hiker I sit waiting for 40 min doing nothing except breathing bad air
Anyway...on the way home I stopped and got oil change...it was free from place I bought car and easy to do
Tomorrow be for hospital I have to drive to a city I don't know south of hospital and fitted for special bra and my new boobs. I'm glad I scheduled it and will get it done but scared of strange city driving
I'm wasting so much time...I have to get lunch and art act the surgery folder...

Icy today. A teacher at school had a car accident on the way to work due to the ice. She is okay. I am frustrated because there is no handicapped parking in the lot anymore (so illegal) and I can't park close to the building like I used to.
No exercise today. Back and knee pain really has ramped up.
lp--Good luck tomorrow.

Kayak .. sounds like you are getting things done. Wish you lived where there was less ice and snow! I would lose my mind.
hope you can get to the new place easily tomorrow.
Hiker ..what's up with the handicap spot not being there?
I had a Dr's apptm today, PT, then exercise. Grocery shopping in between.
It's cold (sorta .. 40's) .. and I need to make an angel for someone. I have to do it outside due to the glue. Dang. I keep putting it off.
Not sure what I will do tomorrow... perhaps clean house!

Tutu--Handicapped spots vanished when they decided parents needed to line up their cars close to the school door to drop off and pick up kids.
There is one handicapped spot on the other side of the building but another teacher uses it. I have complained and they say they will redo the parking lot this summer and put in new ones.
It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I actually parked in a different spot even closer to the school building as the handicapped spot was on a slope (illegal) and so when water pooled in the winter it would freeze and was too dangerous.
The closer parking spots were also eliminated for parents to line up to pick up their kids. Grr.
Freezing mist right now, so it will be very icy again tomorrow as we will not get out of the 20's until next week.

I love reading everyone's posts!
Kayak-Thanks for the bday wishes. That poor little Etta! 3 weeks is a long time for a dog. I worried about boarding Rocky for a week. I was so happy to see him. Hope she'll be OK!
Hiker-Sheesh! Be careful! I sure don't miss icy roads. I hope your parking lot at work isn't icy too.
TuTu-You've been busy! I need to clean house too but am putting it off and trying to handle divorce stuff and taxes. Believe me, I'd rather be doing anything else but those two things!
Onto exercise.....
Ab and bun DVDs, 30 minutes incline 2, 3.2 mph walking for five, jogging for five 3 times. 3 sets of 12 for front and back lat pulldowns and inner thigh torture machine. Oh and walked five laps with my Mom.
Then later I went and had a banana split with Josh.
I'll never learn.......

Friday-Ab and arm DVDs today and Zumba. 3 sets of 12 on that thigh machine and threw in 5 minutes of rowing.
Taking Mom and three of her friends to Atlanta tomorrow so another busy day.
TuTu-Wow! 40 minutes straight?! That's awesome! I struggle through my 30 on the treadmill. Go TuTu!
Hiker-TGIF! Josh hurt a calf muscle and is resting his leg so no treadmill for him. He's still doing his weight lifting DVD and hope that's OK. So easy to get injured! My knees are complaining so trying not to bend them to much while working out.
Hope Kayak is doing OK today.
Hopefully see you all tomorrow night!

Kayak is OK...She had a good appointment with the anesthesiologist. I'll let her tell about it.
AK .. Well, I usually do 20-25 on the first round, then walk laps or do leg exercises and come back. We are supposed to stop after 10 min so we don't hog the machine.
At our class, there are plenty of machines, so I cheat. If someone needs it, I get up.
Have a safe trip to Atlanta!

Slept in this morning until 9:30. Felt so good to be in my warm bed.
Did quite a bit of cooking, but did go out for a 20 minute walk. Windy and chilly, but the sun was out. Now it is cloudy again.
This afternoon I went to a little hole in the wall coffee shop/bakery. Ok I admit I cheated and ate 2 cookies, but they are homemade and so good. This is the type of place where coffee refills are free and a cup of coffee and 2 cookies is less than $2.50.
I sat next to a table full of elderly citizens who were just hilarious. One of the regulars was absent, because his car is in the shop. They were placing bets on what day he would get his car back and everyone was putting in a dollar and picking a date. Too funny.
Off to watch Illini basketball.
