Time for another week of exercise and chatting.

Walked 30 minutes outside today. May be the last walk of the week as expecting 4-6 inches of snow the next few days.

So, I suspect I will be shoveling as snow will be too heavy for my small snow blower.

My forsythia and daffodils are in bloom--too early for that to happen.

Ran a few errands this afternoon and will just relax the rest of the day. Boil order has been lifted.

Have a great week!! [Cool]

Our roads were good this morning, so we made it to church. Took some nice pics of the snow. They had about 5-6 inches of snow there, whereas we only had about 3.

It was nice to be out in the beautiful hills all covered in snow.

No exercise.. took a long nap .. too long. Just woke up about 45 min ago.

Hope none of you get TOO MUCH SNOW!! How much is too much? [Big Grin]

Sunday-Slept in again today from about 2:00 a.m. til 10:30 a.m. Picked up our 2 gallons of water and later went to an indoor flea market with Josh. He found a really neat retro vinyl and metal wheeled chair for his desk at home.

Walked around the flea market for about 2 hours so that's my leisurely exercise for the day.

Hiker-Thanks for getting us started this week. Yay to boil free water! Hoping a new yard guy will show up tomorrow for winter clean up. Usually I do the raking and bagging, etc. but will see how this guy does.

Lovedogs-I need to get outside too and get some fresh air. I love to walk at parks this time of year. Later on it'll be to hot.

TuTu-Bet it's pretty where you're at when it snows. It's kind of cooler down here too but no snow.

OK, well I'm still tired from the trip so off to bed!

[sleepy]

AK .. I'll tag you in the photos. They are really pretty! I'm glad you've recovered enough to be able to shop at the flea markets. Always fun!

Something set me off last night before I went to bed. Not sure what it was. Was even thinking I smelled pot, but my nose is so weird I can't always trust it. Sometimes it makes stuff up... lol..

Anyway, I couldn't get to sleep and brought my epi pen to the nightstand. Still felt awful this morning, but I had an OCC meeting and PT later on.

Now I'm just vegging in front of the computer.

hiker .. Since you like track and field, I thought you might like this. I know you're not an Aggie fan, but it's still a great 4X4 relay.

HW .. good job on the gym workout!

Then did some errands to be ready for storm

I've moved some furniture and spent some time organizing house

I see doc thurs about knee and after that I really have to push to get taxes done

Kams desert flowers made the national news. But did you guys see the caterpillars?

Well hope I get back here tomorrow...hope I have power

LP--I can't believe the snow forecasted for your area. Eeek.

Shoveled a few inches off the drive for my exercise before work.

Had to file an amended tax return as a form came today. It' supposed to be postmarked by January 31st and it wasn't even on the website when I logged in. Grrr. I owe more.

Her desert flowers made the national news? Or was it something she "shared?"

I'll go see.

Hiker .. I remembered later in the day that I had failed to give you the link... see above.

LP... They say on the masto board that usually what we smell is THERE. I think we have great "smell" memory... unfortunately.

Anyway, I think my problem last night was some NutThins. I've eaten them for several years. There was only one that I even halfway tolerated and it was questionable.

I had not eaten any in at least a month. Today when I picked them up again I thought "uh oh." Maybe it was these.

I ate a few and had the same throat-closing feeling. So those are now OUT. I have at least 2-3 boxes of them in the pantry. We even use them at communion for the GF people.

I'm happy to have found the source of the trouble though. I think I've reacted to them many times, but always thought it was something else affecting me.

AK .. I'm going to tag you on the snow pics on FB.

Tute...I agree about the smell...we are super smellers...that might be part of our problem...I hear things too...but don't tell anybody!?!

The news story was the desert in general about blooming so beautifully. I guess from weather changes. But it said they wouldn't last long. Because of weather and millions of cat ER pillars that eat flowers when
This happens

The snow is pretty now. Oops. More later

I just got a second estimate on water heater. I was hoping for lower but it was higher

I've been eating a lot of bad stuff and nothing is happening

But I'm going to stop. I have enough foods to stay healthy and satisfied with low histamine

I'm still having chronic fatigue. Maybe its just from healing. The surgery knee is still twice as big as other one. And its bruised and red and has varicose veins that popped out overnight and sometimes when that foot gets cold it takes forever to warm it up. So it is pointing to a circulation problem. I see surgeon Thursday. 5 weeks and 2 days from surgery

Well...I need to go clear paths and patios and vinyl garage roof

I think there's about 4 inches and its starting to ramp up

If I do the paths once the plow guys kids will know where to shovel

Yesterday the snow finally melted off my roses. Oh well. I don't know how cold it is or how heavy snow is. If I'm gonna walk Etta I need to do that before they come and spread salt

We 'll see how long I last. Both shoulders hurt now

See ya.

It's actually snowing here too. Not much, though. [Smile]

Hope you can keep the snow plow people coming and helping you.

LP, can't believe it's been 5 weeks since surgery. Hope things keep healing.

Lymetoo, glad you found the source.. bummer you can't eat them anymore. [Frown]

Hiker, we haven't even started our taxes yet. We are always LAST MINUTE... when will we learn?

Happy pi day. 3.14 for all those nerds out there. Maybe y'all can SMELL the pie.

doing some stretching and walking today!

The PTA at school is providing pizza pies and fruit pies. Will I be able to resist?

LP--Don't overdo with the shoveling. I only shoveled a little bit yesterday and am sore.

Very cold and breezy here. My exercise will be using my eyeballs and pen to grade essays.

I just hope kayak won't lose power. She said the wind is really bad. She already had over a foot of snow at about 4 pm her time.

We had snow for several hours today but it was just something pretty to watch. No worries. I even had a Dr's apptm and exercise today.

I did 43 min on the machine and 10 laps.

I don't think kayak has lost power and she is OK. Woot woot!

Hey, LP. You know that sleepiness? That may be from high histamine levels. I ate some cooked chicken last night that I had thawed out in the morning, but didn't eat it until evening.

I had to lie down not long after supper because I could NOT keep my eyes open.

The snow is melting in the sun even though it is still below freezing.

Wednesday-OK, I must be losing it! I see I didn't post for two days. Must be way more tired than I thought. Been sleeping a lot thanks to Elavil taken at night. Time to taper off.....

HW-Way to go on the workout.

TuTu-I like those NutThins too. I've been buying Live G Free crackers from Aldi's. They had an Aldi's in Clinton with the same foods! Made me feel right at home.

Will have to check out those pix!

Kayak-Put me down for having a super sniffer too. I have a serious problem with cigarette smoke and I usually have to take liquid benadryl when exposed.

I can't believe all that you're able to do! I'm still on the couch most of the day but feel more energetic today.

Hiker-Josh brought work over yesterday. We ate dinner together and afterwards he was grading papers. I never realized how much time teachers spend getting their job done. You guys are very underappreciated.

Well, time to rustle up a late dinner.

[hi]

I think your body will get used to Elavil A K. Maybe give it a little more time. That was first thing I took many yrs ago for sleep. It got so I would take it a month and then it stopped working so I stayed off 3 months then on again for a month. Nothing else worked for me for a long time

But why don't you try hydroxyzine esp since you have some mast cell stuff. I have taken 25 to 75mg a nite for over 20 yrs. It worked for my mom so I asked doc for it and it works for me. I get to rem sleep and sleep 4 to 5 hrs before having to pre so I get really good sleep. I'm pretty sure it has been holding mcad as down all these yrs...and I didn't know mcad existed let alone that it bothers me

Ok...confession time. Tutu...dance your little dance...you were totally correct...I shouldn't have even gone out yesterday...one of worst things I think was walking on slippery ground...I went slow was very scared and didn't fall but this morning I couldn't walk.

It took an hour after 3 meds.lots of whining and crying and leaning on walker to get food and meds in cuz I had to call doc. I got after hours call they changed my time....cuz of airplane schedule due to storm...I guess surgeon has to make a flight

So I have To go 2 hrs before I planned. Meds have kicked in but I'm still in bad shape...my back...BOTH shoulders....sheesh. It doesn't seem like this will end before I am bionic lady

I'm pretty sure all the arthritis is from a tick (or 2 or 3 or a thousand...)and my genes. That's what Dr L told me way back.

Anyway...I'm feeling reasonable now. Need a shower and its an hour drive thru the woods to this doc. But he's worth it

I 'll come back later and catch up on reading above. I really came on to tell anyone who watches the Voice that Sheena is my nieces friend. I think she's on Adam's team. I haven't been watching lately cuz of recovery but I just watched some taped shows and looks like a lot of competition

See ya later. Here I go over the river and thru the woods...

lp--Hope your appointment went well. I guess I don't even know which knee was operated on. I assume the left, since you are driving.

Ak--Sounds like we are both really tired. I did one grocery store and the library after work today.

I should be out walking--cool and sunny, but no energy left.

Off to iron my green shirt for St. Patrick's Day for tomorrow. (I am not a fan of wearing green, but I do love my shamrock socks and earrings)

OH bummer... St Pat's Day. My least favorite. Sometimes I just refuse to wear green. I feel rebellious right now...so we'll see.

hiker .. I hope you can rest up this weekend and start feeling better.

Kayak... remember .. this is your last knee replacement. A third revision is not suggested... [Big Grin] .. Make it work this time by saving the strain on it. Hope the pain has let up by tomorrow.

I did 40 min on the machine and 10 laps.

My sister in law is coming home from the hospital tomorrow.. again. She got MRSA .. so keep praying.

Thursday-Ran some errands today and then came right home and vegged out the rest of the day.

Breaking out in a rash on my face and body so am cutting out the half pain pill, muscle relaxer and elavil in the evening.

Kayak-Will try the hydroxyzine for sleep issues. Have to get to my doc before my insurance runs out. Going to drop my credit report off at my attorney's office tomorrow, so am stocking up on meds, etc.

Hiker-Egads! Thanks for the reminder of St Paddy's Day. Your socks and earrings sound cute. I don't have much green but I have a greenish teal workout T-shirt that I can wear tomorrow.

TuTu-Wow, congrats on the workout! I need to start back on my program. My lat is still bothering me and all the driving I did irritated it. Been resting quite a bit since I got home so I'm feeling better. Hope I can get back to my routine.

Hope and pray your SIL will be OK. She's been through so much.

Well, off to sleep!

So sad about sil. Is she on iv a th home? My brother was for almost a yr. Sure hope it doesn't last that long for her

And Ak so sorry about rash. Hydroxyzine should help the rash and help you sleep. Muscle relaxants are known to cause mast cell sx.

Hi hiker...I know youre there. I thought of you tonight while watching the story about slime in the news. Many kids turning into little chemists I guess

Doc was very happy about my progress. I liked guy that said he can finish my kitchen so hope that will happen soon

I'm very tired

Hmmm. Where is everyone? All green and celebrating? I woke up dragging.. Esp shoulders and lower back from tiny bit of shoveling....I texted with cleaning lady so she knows there are changes to our routine...we have to get ready for worker to fix kitchen...it could be messy...ripping out 2 closets to get rid of a little mold and open up space a little. I will end up with counter top like desk so I can prep food sitting down and one of those hanging pot racks over the top

But we have to clear everything out of his way before doing some cleaning

Then at 9 it was starting to melt outside so I went out to check garage roof and I realized there was 18 " frozen snow on top and it really needed to come down. It only took me 15 min but I am totally wasted. Crashed in zero gravity chair. Shoulders and back hurt and that makes sense but so do shins and that bothers me

I hope I recover before noon when cleaner gets here

Now I am more concerned about snow on house. I have been trying to ignor the creaking but now I know there's 2 spots with 18" that need to be cleared
By Sunday when we might get rain/sleet

If sun doesn't get it today I guess I will call those ppl back that helped after storm

I can't believe its 1030. She comes in 90 min. I want an hour nap and I'm not dressed yet(l shoveled with my coat over my jammies...

lp--it makes sense to me that your shins hurt if you are reaching up and keeping your balance while getting snow off roof. Be careful.

Had a good day at work and then stopped at the second grocery store of the week. I asked the guy to find some greener bananas and he grabbed the only green bunch left and then dropped them on the floor. Green bruised bananas now!

I am in the March Madness pool at work. Pay $5 for a chance to win over $150. I never win, but it is still fun.

Will relax tonight. Taking car in tomorrow morning for oil change and tire rotation.

You are worrying me.

SIL was going home with 3 oral abx, from what I understood my brother to say Wed. night. She also has a "wound pack" on the area with MRSA. A nurse is supposed to come 3 times a week to change the dressing.

AK .. yes, muscle relaxants and pain pills can cause more MCAS symptoms. You may need to stay on the Elavil a bit longer. You don't want to crash.
(taper)

Hiker .. hope you have a relaxing weekend!! Good luck on the pool! [Big Grin]

I spent most of the day with our local Bible study group (my term for our condo group so you'll know what I mean).

We are putting together bracelets for a ministry project one of the girls is working on. It's a huge project, many years in the making. She told us the whole story while we were working on them.

It was an amazing story of her life with God .. basically. At one point in time she tried to commit suicide and God prevented it. (definitely)

We had quite an interesting discussion. I feel so grateful to have connected with everyone here.

I had to quit helping with the bracelets though. My shoulders are killing me. I'm going to call a chiro a friend uses but they are on vacation right now. Back on Monday.

Part of my pain issues are from over-eating oxalates on Wed. OUCH.

Have a good evening, everyone!

Happy St Paddy's Day everyone! You guys got me motivated with all your activities so I went to the gym. Yay!

Did 30 minutes on the treadmill at varied elevations and speed. Didn't workout very hard since it's been a couple of months.

Kayak-You are working away! I bet you can't wait for all the work to be done on your house. Love the counter top desk idea.

Hiker-Hoping you win the pool at work. We had something like that at the dealership but I wasn't a winner either.

TuTu-Went cold turkey on my meds. Neck pain and headache today so I took Avil PM instead. Your group activity sounds amazing. Would've loved to hear the young lady's story too.

See you all tomorrow!

I know I have to be careful about knee. But cant have house fall down on me either

Last year I would have worked on roof again today but I didn't. Today was all about getting back on or plan. I'm hurting pretty bad but I fixed the blocks on my bike and did 10 min. They call it the warm up. Ha!

Then I did almost all my sitting standing and lying exercises. She gave me 3 new ones and I forgot 2 of them. I'm hoping I remember by suppertime when I have to do them again

And I walked 30 min. Same distance that took 20 min before but I was walking really slow

Standing up straight tho and not prank my on walker

Then I ate lunch and fell asleep in chair for half hour. Woke up in pain...took ibu and I'm lying down again

I also took a detox bath after exercise before walk

I'm supposed to prioritize taxes now to get them in on time but I don't know. I'm very tired. It scares me. My bp has been a little high since surgery...5.5 weeks. Its never been high. I found a list of things to change...I don't do the worst ones...drink and smoke...

I'm exercising more which is major and I've cut back on salt but I use pink Himalayan salt and that isn't supposed to be that bad

I know they want me to go to primary about this but she has really been useless the last 3 yrs and I always get a respiratory infection when I go to her office.

I hope I can make it go down.

It could be from pain too...and there might be a circulation issue with knee.

Exercise and PT does increase pain short term but I thinks it lessens it long term

Well hope everyone keeps hanging in. I guess there's some new weather Xbox coming by you guys. We re school supposed to miss it...won't get more than 6 Inches

Cleaning lady helped a lot yesterday's y. I kept falling asleep

I told the construction guy to do the kitchen so I'm waiting for him to tell me what day

Someone is giving me siding est Monday. Take care as that storm goes by.

I just woke up from a 2 hour nap.

Last night I ended up going to friends' house to watch NCAA tournament. Stayed up way too late.

Tire rotation and oil change. Learned that new tires are filled with nitrogen from the factory. I just got regular air today.

Did one load of laundry and a little cooking.

Friend coming over tonight to watch more basketball.

AK .. Glad you were able to exercise .. I hope the pain goes away soon. Don't overdo!

Like kayak, who is supposed to be calling the plow guy to clear the roof. [Smile]

Sure hope the BP goes down soon ... Do try to stay away from any added salt. I hope you can figure out WHY it's up. Yes, it could be from the pain. See if it gradually goes down. HOPE SO!!

Hiker .. hope you enjoy tonight's games! About the nitrogen .. I think they put some nitrogen in but it's not all nitrogen??

I know we signed up for some plan a few years ago with our new car to have added nitrogen as needed. It was pretty much a scam thing. Take your money and hope you never use it.

We had a nice day here. Weather was cool this morning then warmed up to mid 70's. Hubby rode his motorcycle so he's happy. I'm just happy that he came back safely!

Spoke briefly to my sister in law and later to my brother. She is having a good day. They have a lot of work to do with her feeding tube. All meds have to go through there and it takes awhile each time.

They only get about 5 hours of sleep a night that is uninterrupted .. but I doubt that even that is solid sleep.

Have a great evening, everyone!

Saturday-Me, Josh and Zachary (19 y o nephew) went shopping today for 2 hours at a second hand book/music/movie/games and instrument store. I bought a Norman Mailer novel, a couple of movies and a CD.

After racking up with goodies we headed out to the local Red Robin hamburger joint. First time the 3 of us have gone out together. We had a great time.

One thing happened to me that I want to mention here.

I was squatting down looking at movies on the rack for about 7 minutes and when I stood up I almost blacked out! My vision just started to go black at the sides. Scared me to death. I've fainted before but not in years. Don't know what in the heck that was. Any input would be appreciated.

Well, I'm off to bed gang. See you all tomorrow.
