Hello, everyone!! It's Sunday, March 26, 2017!!

Hope your day is going well. We had a nice service at church and our little choir did a good job. (Not as good as last week, though)

We had lunch with about 10 other church members and the Pastor. That was fun! We don't usually go eat with them because of my food limitations, but this time we happened to go where the "gang" had decided to go today.

I'm going to a show tonight with my friend. I'm feeling pretty good, but I'm off to take a nap to make sure all will be OK!!

My cousin is in the hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. [Eek!] He's younger than me! I'm hoping they can get him well soon!! (He came to visit us last season with his wife...so happy for that!)

I hope hiker is having a safe trip, kayak is behaving herself and AK's heart has settled down!!!

Please, Lord!!

[group hug]

I am at my folks. Mom is in so much pain with her sciatica. Hope we can get that MRI soon.

Dad needs new hearing aids, but doesn't want to deal with cost. He can afford them. Grr.

Went for a 28 minute walk as soon as the sun peeked out. Lovely park here.

I want to try out the new exercise room tomorrow, but my parents have not been to orientation so their key fob will not work and it will be off limits to me. The old room I just walked in and used the bike etc.

Have a great week. Check in tomorrow.

I'm being good. My goal was to put second coat of sealer on kitchen floor this morning...and I just finished...so I worked very slowly and rested in between. I think its a job that would take a normal person about 20 minutes.

I hope the vinyl goes Down right tomorrow so I can take a pic of my finished kitchen for the facebook world to see.

I will have a new pot rack that hangs from ceiling that will save so much space...and a desk/counter top at the correct height for sitting so I can prep food and do some desk stuff sitting in open concept part of house

A corner shelf will still need to be built and one wall painted

But no more demo and dusty stuff

Just lying in bed now with leg raised the way it is supposed to be. I have PT tomorrow and have not been able to fit in all my exercises but painting that floor had my quads burning so I know they are stronger

Easter is 2 weeks away right? I want so much to be able to go see my grand kids that week. I have the bed in the camper. But just don't know if I can pull it off. I can drive for and hour ok but after that the knee really gets uncomfortable

I'm glad you had a good day so far tutu and hope you have a good time tonight. You have to be careful off over doing also

Sunday-Thanks TuTu for starting the thread for us.

Well, my heart rate was 99 today and went up if I did too much.

Today was my first day of driving and I did great. Also I got our supply of water. My Mom went with me but stayed in the car. I wanted to see what I could do.

Did 2 loads of laundry and the dishes. Picked up my half of tax returns from ex. Then went to Josh's and we went out to dinner. I think I did pretty good but still not quite myself.

Hiker-Hope your Mom gets better. My Mom has hearing aids but rarely wears them. I have to ask her to please put them in. I can sit right next to her and she can't hear me. It's frustrating.

TuTu-I hope your cousin recovers. Pneumonia is awful to have. Caught it myself in 2013 at my old job and ended up missing a whole week of work.

Enjoy yourself at the show! I hope next time I come through I can go to a show too. I know I'd love it!

Kayak-You got so much done today! I'll have to check your posts for those pix.

I'm getting excited about Easter too. I hope I'm recovered enough to go to church and make dinner. I'd like to make the usual ham, potato salad and see if Josh would do a green bean casserole or brocolli and cheese.

You all are awesome! Thank you for all the prayers. I'm sure that's why I'm better!

[group hug]

Kayak .. painting the floor is not behaving. [Big Grin]

Oh well.. I don't know how much better your knee is.. so I don't KNOW!

hiker .. hope your mom's pain can get better. I've had it really bad before so I can relate!!

AK .. Call your doctor tomorrow about the heart meds... Your heart rate should not be that high. Officially, 100 is the cut-off point.. but still!

My cousin is going to need open-heart surgery, but they have to wait until Wednesday because it's too risky right now. I'm really worried about him, but I also know that God is able!

My cousin and his wife came to see us last summer and were planning to return perhaps this summer. I sure hope he is able to recover. He is 4 years younger than me.

I have two doctor appointments tomorrow.. one is the acupuncture in the city. Then I will see a show with my friend. I was confused about when we were going. I thought she wanted to go Sunday night. I'm glad it will be on Monday.

Nite!

Yeah...th a pass biting hurt my back...I was bending over...but it also strengthened my quads which helps the knee get better so sort of plus an minus

Idk why my bad shoulder. The left. Hurts so much today. I painted with right side. I guess that shoulder is so bad carrying paint and pushing furniture was too much for it

Plumbers are here doing water heater. Very professional. The carpenter called 10 min before he was supposed to be here to cancel!!! Grrrrrr. I worked so hard clearing spaces for both crews to work. Snow and ice was hanging off house so I cleared two separate doors. I didn't plan on that. Its rain and freezing rain all day. Somehow I missed that forecast

They say they will be done today so I really hope the other guy finishes tomorrow

I'm glad I found good plumbers tho that charge reasonably

My heart rate has been between 90 and 110 since surgery. Everyone is concerned but none are regular docs so no one is pushing me to do anything

I have high lipids too...forever...I refuse statins

But more recently I have clear sharp chest pain on left side so I know I have to deal with this

I did have good results on stress echo less than a year ago so that is something

Since I have so much trouble with statins I try to believe what mercola says about high cholesterol. I don't know what he says about high blood pressure

Since mcad I eat more meat. Usuallylow fat beef and skinless boneless chic breasts

I know I have to figure this no thing out soon. One more thing tho...if it add 90 docs say don't worry...and some say my at home no cuff may not be accurate

Anyway...a k I am glad you feel better but hope you follow thru and figure out what caused this

Tutu...hope your day goes well and you don't get too tired

Hiker...I hope the whole week is good for all of you...

See you soon

Ipkayak, next time take your at home cuff along to the doctor and have them check to see how accurate it is.

That's what we did with ours to see how it compares to theirs.

Good idea manna. I'm going to PT right now and I guess I 'll take it. My heart was thumping like crazy awhile ago and I got 3 low readings. But I'm new to this being a problem. I don't really understand it

I took my mom to spine doctor today. Doc think she has spinal stenosis. Sigh. MRI is over a week away, so won't know for sure.

Md recommended a tens unit. Not sure how effective that is going to be.

Made appointment for dad with a different but highly recommended MD as his hernia symptoms are back and he can't into his GP for 3-4 months.

I will take him tomorrow to hearing clinic to see if his hearing aids can be fixed.

Ran a few errands and am going to take a nap.

I love my parents but I have to repeat everything 8 times as they don't hear well as my mom is not quite connecting with everything. Really wears me out.

Monday-Heart rate still 99 but feel a little better. Drove Mom around so we did errands together. Made dinner and did dishes.

TuTu-Hope and pray that your cousin will be OK. Open heart surgery is a scary thing. My Dad had a quadruple bypass and it took him a long time to recover.

Kayak-You're getting so much done on your house! So your heart rate is up too? I know mine is from getting off Toprol. I hope you find out what's causing yours.

Hiker-Your poor Mom. The hearing thing I completely understand. I have to repeat things all the time with my Mom, each time louder until she says 'stop yelling at me'. I just wish she'd wear her hearing aides more often. [Frown]

Manna-Long time no see!

See you all tomorrow!

That sounds exhausting hiker. I never went thru that. When mom came to live with me she need ded a lot of care. She couldn't feed or dress herself so I had to hire help

But you are in that In between stage when they are living on their own but not getting important things done.

The hearing problem can drive you nuts too

It wasn't clear to me when she really belonged in nursing home. But my brother and his wife saw right away. I guess I was too close to see it

I hope you manage to have a little fun and some relaxation this week

Yes, kayak .. you can't carry stuff with your left arm. I hope you are finished painting. You're raising my heart rate again. (haha, just kidding)

You two need to get your heart rates under control. Mine gets high too, but it doesn't stay there all day.

Had an interesting discussion with my cardiologist today. Not sure what to do about the aspirin issue. He says I need to find out from my allergist if I'm allergic to aspirin. If I'm truly allergic, then I CANNOT take it in the event of a heart attack.

HOWEVER, I failed to discuss with him that I'm pretty sure I have a salicylate SENSITIVITY, not an allergy. I gave him info on MCAS and he said the first and last time he had ever heard about it was during his internship!

Hey, at least he's honest! [Big Grin]

Went to the big city for acupuncture and then out to a show tonight with my friend from Texas.

Hiker .. I hope they can help your mom's pain... and your dad's too. Life is HARD!

on that note... my sweet friend I visited about 3 weeks ago passed away this morning. I think her 97th birthday was Sunday. [Frown] I hope I will be able to attend her funeral. (this is the one who knows Brenda Lee, remember?)

I'm really going to miss her, but I'm so glad we got to be friends and very relieved that I saw her so recently. I even attended a chapel service with her that day. I am so blessed.

AK .. my cousin's surgery has been rescheduled for Thursday. He had a better day today but he is very very ill.

Good news .. my sister in law is getting better and is allowed to eat a little food now.

Well tutu...more good news than bad

I thought I had been hit by Mack truck when I woke up. As I left PT he said "good workout today!"

And I probably did some stuff I shouldn't have done

Mostly I can't shake a sad feeling about a short conversation with a friend who dismissed mcad problem

After PT I went to biggest best furniture store to talk to them about toxin trouble with furniture

It was huge place. I didn't feel it when I first walked in. As I was talking to salesperson I realized her whole chest was red. I didn't mention it until she did. She has asthma as well from work. Her doc said use zyrtec. It wasn't helping. Then she mentioned my face was getting red. This is second time in furniture store I was sort of rushed out from turning red I'm sure they wouldn't want to call ambulance for that

I feel bad for the young sales person. Ppl around here need their jobs and I could tell she knew she would have to leave that place. Im sure that whole building is infected. It was an old dairy farm where barns are built close together with doors connecting them. It was huge

The tingling started in my mouth but it was all over me. I contaminated van and stripped as soon as I got in. Washed clothes twice. Long shower. But I still have wiffs this morning. Its so depressing

On mcad group ppl are suggesting organic furniture with link ...but I'm pretty scared to spend 1500 to 2500 on one chair

We 'll see

After listening to a friends long tale about problems at work i mentioned what happened at furniture store and she quickly had to go. She had been treated for Lyme...her whole family was and they are a lot better. I sense they still have issues and all just push thru. Even a few cancer scares and problems at work scares so I kind of feel its important to let ppl in this situation know stuff to be careful of...but I understand wanting to be an ostrich too...sometimes you just need to pretend it isn't real

Her child is special to me...they all are...and it felt like a slap in the face to be turned off so quickly....I can usually shake that stuff off. For some reason this is sticking with me as hurt

I need to get ready for carpenter. Hope he doesn't cancel

Kayak, we are hangin' in there! Winter hasn't been too bad for us.

Hubby's just kind of staying about the same health-wise. Though he has gained weight this winter.

We had added the Remag to his supplements and after he increased the amount from 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon, his bp went up too high. Since reducing back to the half teaspoon again, his bp has dropped back to the high normal levels.

Wish we could figure out what other binders to use to help trap & carry out the toxins.

Hi to the rest of you too! I read but don't often take time to write. I feel like I know you guys, even if we never met.

Our own friends have mostly gone on with their own lives when we couldn't keep doing everything that we used to.

Kayak .. Some people are not ready. Just hang onto your info and share less than you think you should. I just had an experience with a friend who knows she has it and has been unofficially diagnosed.

But .. she got mad when I told her "too much." Too much reality. So now my mouth is shut. She will have to ask ME if she needs me.

PS.. Do LESS than you think you can regarding your knee right now! Please!?

Lp--Too bad about the furniture store. If you can swing the money a good chair that is organic might be worth it. You would use it a lot.

Manname--I use ACZ nanozeolite to trap and carry out toxins along with Pekana products called Itires, Renelix and a-Hepat.

Took dad to get his hearing aides fixed. Glad he did not need new ones. Did some cleaning around my folks apartment. Hauled a ton of papers to be shredded.

Just got back from dinner with a dear friend. We hit up a place called Konfusion which has fish and sushi. I had the vegetable sushi as I don't like raw fish and the sauce for it had no gluten Very good. And seeing my pal was even better.

Will spend the rest of the evening with my folks and then head home tomorrow to finish my spring break at my place.

Tuesday-First day of doubled amount of RX antihistamine. Felt very woozy and off today. My BP was 105/67 heart rate 77.

Ran errands with Mom again.

Kayak-I feel for you in regards to your friend. I had a similar episode after getting out of the hospital and telling someone that my heart issue could be caused by MCAD. She totally grilled me about 'my syndrome' and the competency of my Allergist. It didn't go well and like TuTu I'll try not to bring it up again. Just like Lyme will have to rely heavily on internet family. Sigh...

TuTu-Aspirin was one of the first things they gave me at the ER. I was wondering if my cardiologist knows anything about MCAD also. I hope he does and can work with my Allergist.

I'm sorry about the passing of your friend. She sounded like quite the lady.

Will continue to pray for your SIL and cousin.

Manna-It's sad to lose friends and support when we're sick. I had one friend tell me not to visit her in Sitka if I was sick. Lymenet has proven to be a real lifeline for me throughout these 13 years since I joined. I had no one else to talk with going through the majority of my treatment. You all are like family.

Hiker-Sushi! I love sushi! Glad to hear you were able to have some fun and get out during your break. I know your parents love and appreciate you for helping them so much. It's a real joy for me to be here for my Mom.

Well, you all are wonderful and see you all on the flipside!

Hiker .. glad you had some time with your friend. Yes, your parents are lucky to have you!!

AK .. The first two are the articles I handed my cardiologist. I think they would be really good for you to take with you to the appointment. You may not have Kounis Syndrome, but I wanted to be sure my doctor knew that it CAN be connected to MCAS. (in case it ever happens to me .. he will perhaps remember something about it!!)

http://cdt.amegroups.com/article/view/1609/2259

This one is great for any doctor, or family and friends. (only those you trust to handle it well)

I had intended to give him a copy of this one, but it may have been overload anyway.

Came back from my folks today. Felt a bit guilty that I only stayed 3 days, but I do need do get some things done here--like a haircut, grocery shopping, cleaning etc. and spring break is going fast.

Raining again today and temperature only in 40's. The temperature this spring is like a yo-yo.

Taking a short nap and then going to church tonight.

We do have to remember to take care of ourselves sometimes. It's hard to do!!

I hope you get caught up on things and get a little rest also.

40's is chilly!! It's been rainy here all day. Supposed to have storms this evening, but I think we'll be fine.

I'm headed to the big city tomorrow for acupuncture.

Manna that's how I feel about this thread. You should come by more often. Sometimes less is more. We have all grown closer and I know it is one place I feel I can say anything and not be judged and be understood

I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. Last fall I realized I was dealing with mcad or mcad....basically the same thing. Tutu has been dealing with it 2 yrs at least and knows more than most of us. She has a very informative thread on it. The main sx is feeling like you are allergic to a lot of things

Tutu...thanks for those words. I know. I've been here before. I'm not sure why I was so sensitive. I know better....I've been taking a lot of mold and masto hits and Idk...I'm extra emotional I guess

Hiker I'm glad you're having some fun and good food on what sounds like sort of a work vacation. Nice you can help them tho.

Ak...you sound like you are recovering...and I guess none of us are immune to misunderstandings about these chronic illnesses

Really great we have each other. Definitely something special happens when you know your friends really get it

I'm not sure if we ever talked about Sitka...my brother and his family are on the big island now...I can't remember the name...there are bears with the same name...and sil s family is from cake...a little island I might be spelling wrong...kodiak! That's what I couldn't remember...but they were on Sitka for awhile too

Well I need to go...I haven't caught up with all your postings yet

Good to see you here, LP!! Hope tomorrow is a good day. Is the work finished yet on your home?

Hope AK is feeling better. Worried about her!

My cousin is being transferred to another hospital for open heart surgery tomorrow.

I've felt like %$#% all day due to something I ate yesterday. Feeling a little better after very little to eat today.

Hiker, where do you buy those supplements to trap toxins? I should do the research myself, but if you have found somewhere to get them at the best prices......

I do read Lymenet almost everyday, just don't take the time to post. I work away half days and there's always so much to do to catch up. My two youngest are still in school. The older ones all have jobs, so its a challenge to keep after everything.

Hubby has enough to do with taking care of himself. I'm hoping if he can get rid of the toxins better he will start feeling better. So often he says he feels toxic.

Sorry, I sound like I'm complaining.... I think its time I went for my beauty rest! LOL

Lymetoo, hubby can sympathize with you and eating stuff you shouldn't. Yesterday our son brought pizza home for lunch.... it looked so good, he couldn't resist. Feeling bloated today. He is gluten free mainly. Just an occasional cheat.

We finally got our seeds on Saturday - we put potting soil in those plastic lettuce containers from the grocery store. Makes a miniature greenhouse.

The cabbages, cauliflower & broccoli are up already! We have tomatoes, peppers, celery, & spearmint tea seeds planted also.

Tonight I planted two containers with several varieties of flowers.

Good to hear about more of what's happening at your place manna. All these years and in my mind it was two of you! I'm pretty spacey and must have missed what you said about kids

The first thing I can do for gardening is last falls pruning of perennials. And a few bushes and my baby trees.

They told us not to do it last fall cuz of drought

We are still in drought!!!

But once the snow melts enough so I can get to my plants I plan to start playing with them.

6 to 12 inches is predicted for Friday nite. It usually melts quickly this time of tear

I'm trying to recover from cleaning up after worker was here in time To get to PT
At 2

I'm very weak and sti'll have a lot to go

Manna-- I have to get the Pekana products through a chiropractor. You can no longer buy them online, but you could probably find their website and call to find out who in your area carries the product.

The ACZ nanozeolite I usually buy from Vitality products (1-724-331-8127) She shut down her website but you can call and reach her. She sends the product to you and includes the bill. Once in awhile I find it just as cheap on Amazon, but I find she is usually the cheapest. I tend to like the 2 ounce size since I put it in my pocket (it is a spray to put in your mouth).

I also use mintran tablets which I also buy from my chiropractor.

Back later.

I used to use chlorella which is good for toxins that accumulate in the digestive system.

It has been fun catching up with everyone's activities this week. I just wanted to say that I successfully went on a trip to the beach with my family the last 5 days.

I always DREAD family vacations, they are too hard and my body is too unpredictable.

However, I felt horrible for the 1st 2 days--pretty sure from stress. But the last 3 days were heavenly. I actually ENJOYED being there.

I know it sounds really dumb, but that is a huge step for me.... going outside the comfort zone of my couch! LOL

That is wonderful, HW!! I know what you mean... completely!

It is very stressful for me to travel. I have to ride in a car Sunday for 8 hours and then come right back Monday evening. UGH.

Sadly .. NO BEACH!! I'm headed north!

HW--So glad you enjoyed the beach and that you took the step to get there!

Tutu--8 hours each way. Ugh.

I went over to a friend's house this afternoon to meet her new cat that she adopted from the Humane Society. Friendly fellow (the cat).

It is now pouring rain again and supposed to rain all night and into tomorrow.

My reading chair is looking very comfortable. No nap today. I lay down for a short nap yesterday and slept for 2 hours. Almost missed church.

I was happy that the other night when I went out to dinner I was able to walk the 3 blocks from car to restaurant without my walking stick. Just wish I was exercising more, but my knee and the weather are not cooperating.

I know, hiker.. ugh.. but fun in between, I hope!

Why did you send the cold weather over here? It was about 46 today and rainy. High of 58 tomorrow...then back to warmer.

Going to the city again tomorrow for my friend's funeral. I'll get to see at least one friend I haven't seen in a few years.

NEWS FLASH!~!!!

My cousin came through his surgery with flying colors! He is still on a respirator for awhile. They have to wean him off slowly. I am so grateful and very hopeful that he will be fine now. Praise Jesus!

Exercise.... 35 min on the machine and 10 laps.

Sorry I missed yesterday, BP up again and little sleep so felt off most of the day. Did absolutely nothing.

Thursday-Feeling better I went out with my Mom from 1:00 this afternoon to 8:00 this evening. Ran errands and headed to the mall. Afterwards we ate dinner at Applebee's.

TuTu-Thank you so much for the links! I'll print them out at the library and take them to my next cardio appt.

So glad to hear about your cousin's successful surgery!

Hiker-Glad you're back home safe and sound! Don't feel to bad about the exercise situation. I haven't been able to work out either but am just biding my time.

Kayak-Thank you for the support! It's such a small world. One of my friends used to live on Kodiak with her hubs. She was a dental hygentist there. They moved to Big Lake, AK to be closer tho kids and grandkids. My other friend is still in Sitka and her Mom and brother live in Wrangell. Have you ever gone for a visit?

Manna-Loved hearing about your garden! I still don't know what I'm planting this year. I'm thinking of doing more herbs than flowers this year.

I read a lot of posts here too. Sometimes just for info and if I can contribute something I'll chime in. Lymenet is my safety net and I can't imagine not coming here.

HW-You are very BRAVE for stepping outside your comfort zone! It took me awhile to be able to get out of bed to the couch. That used to be my good day. I'm jumping up and down and clapping my hands for you!

OK gang...see everyone tomorrow!

Raining here tonight. We had the electric blink off and back on again earlier when there was a little thunder storm. Its still lightening occasionally and a little grumbling thunder.

So glad its not a loud scary storm. My youngest (12 yrs) asked why it always storms at night and never in the day time when you can ignore the lightning flashes?

Hubby finished up his part of the taxes and I discovered I wasn't as near done as I thought. So I worked at that until I had a phone that took an hour and 20 minutes!!

Now my neck is complaining from propping the phone while I talked and continued with my sewing.

So tomorrow after work I'll finish up my part of the taxes and then we'll drop the papers off at the accountant in the evening.

Need to run to the bank and the post office tomorrow afternoon also. we're sending a few seeds to our son who lives out of state. He wants to grow a few things in pots on his window sills.

His siblings came up with 'brilliant' ideas of things to grow - sweet corn! watermelons! and one even put some bird seed in! Now he can grow some birds!! I did send some herbs & things he really can grow on a window sill.

Thanks for the love,

tutu... 8 hrs each day.. ugh. let us know how it goes.

Hiker, 3 blocks is progress. . . . Someone once told me progress doesn't have to be typical to be celebrated. . . It really stuck with me and every little step forward I celebrate, even if it isn't typical of 'normal' people. (what is normal anyway?)

Manname, hope the storm passed and your power stayed on. Planting things and watching them grow is so fun.

I'm going to plant my zinnia seeds this saturday. I love watching them grow.

Tutu--Sorry you have a funeral to attend. May it be a lovely memorial to your friend.

I tried a different grocery today. Same chain as my neighborhood store but larger and has organic meats. Very expensive and I am glad I had coupons. I think I like my smaller store better.

Funny how the same chain of a store on different sides of town carry different products. The one I went to today is on the east side of town and stores on that side are higher priced than the ones on the west side.

Glad I live on the west side. The houses on my block have lower property taxes than comparable houses on the east side. (and my neighborhood is nice and safe, but there are fewer stores on my side of town).

Cooked when I got home and stored my makings in the freezer.

Went to my local coffee shop to sit and write poetry and read.

I can't believe my spring break is basically over. Only one day has been nice enough to get out my trekking poles and go for a walk, but after the stressful visit to my folks (stressful to see them frail and unhealthy), I have really needed the rest.

I am ready to get out and plant some more perennials and get my garden going, but I know I should wait until May to do that. Grass is so green, though.

Ak--hope you are feeling better soon and can get back to exercising.

lp-keep up the good work at PT. I am so impressed with how you have handled the cancer surgery and the knee replacement.

Hiker .. I'm sorry your spring break is over... but hey, summer is right behind it!! Also very sorry about how frail your parents are. It's so hard to deal with .. esp long distance.

The funeral today went very well. I only knew a few people there. I knew my friend's daughter and had met her granddaughter before. My friend from Arizona was able to fly here just barely in time.

So...that's all I did all day. The funeral was in the city. I'm very glad to have had her in my life and to have been able to honor her in death. She was quite the character.

It was interesting to learn that she not only played tennis and softball (like I did), but that she was shy when she was young. (Hard to imagine, trust me!) I used to be shy too!

I'm lying in bed with ice on my knee but I have to get up cuz legs are getting restless. I'm overdo for my pill

Please pray for warm sunny day Sunday to melt the wet foot of snow we get before tomorrow nite

Friday-Sheesh, I just can't catch a break! Went to an eye appointment that my optometrist set up. Been having trouble with my vision and thought I just needed new glasses. Well, I might be having eyelid and eye muscle surgery unless my blood work comes back positive for myasthenia gravas.

If positive, no surgery because it's a disease process.

And get this....it's done under Lidocaine injections only. You have to be awake to move your eye in different directions during the muscle part.

Manna-Loved your post about the watermelon, corn and birds. Glad you and yours are doing well.

HW-Every little step counts here! Zinnias are such pretty flowers. I tend to plant the same flowers every year because it's so hot down here. It's already in the 80's. This year I might do mostly herbs. I like basil, lemon thyme, parsley and cilantro. Might do some new ones this year.

Hiker-I notice the price difference in gas around town. Me and Mom have been going to a Food Depot store that has great low prices on produce and frozen foods. We usually shop at the Commissary for meats, cereals, coffee and tea. It pays to shop around.

TuTu-I'm so glad the funeral went well. They sure can be hard to go through. BTW, what a coincidence about the shyness. I was a clingy, shy momma's girl when I was a child. I wasn't much of a talker growing up. I'm so relieved I outgrew that!

Kayak-I bet little Etta looks fabulous! Rocky used to hate going to the groomers. Being a country Labbie I didn't take him to often, maybe twice a year if that.

You know it's in the 80's down here so how bout I send some of this heat your way?

Well, it's getting late, so off to bed. Night!

[sleepy]

Yes, I'm very mean to kayak .. [Big Grin] But you know I love you, LP!! [Big Grin]

AK .. Cut it OUT!! Shoot!!!! Either way, it's NOT FUN!! Keep us posted. I'll add you to my prayer list.

Manna.. I have yet to plant 2 of the 4 plants I bought 3 weeks ago. My shoulder and other joints have been painful, so I keep putting it off. Gotta get it done soon. I had a ton of plants last year and now I'm struggling to have more than my two pots of pansies.

Hiker I paid 7.99 a lb for Hamburg and pot roast type cuts of organic meat. How much do you pay. It must be much cheaper out there right? A sirloin steak was 12.99 a lb

AK--Oh PHOOEY! Hope it is not myasthenia gravis. You can't catch a break. I think God is telling you to keep health insurance for sure.

lp--Organic is expensive here, too. $7.99 for ground beef, $6.99 for ground bison, and chicken/turkey is expensive as well. The store I went to was even higher than the Kroger I usually shop at for organic, but the coupons made it about even.

I walked 25 minutes with trekking poles this morning.

I cheated yesterday and had a bagel with cream cheese and cookies. I know better than to eat gluten and I feel lousy today. My own fault.

Hubby was feeling 'off' today. And on top of it, all the rainy weather we've been having has been giving him muscle pain/ache.

Sometimes he says he's an achin' pain.

We had no rain today, but it was mostly cloudy and breezy. We got all the wash out on the line and it dried pretty well. The jeans were still a little damp on the seams.

Hubby did say he was looking out the window at the tree branches that fell out of the tree and thinking how could he manage to get the chainsaw and cut them up?? Then he kinda sighed and shrugged.

He just doesn't have the energy or stamina to do something like that. But he'd love to go out and do things like that again. He's in his lower 50's so its not that he's too old to do things like that.

Good night!

Saturday-Just a couple errands with Mom today. Then me, Mom and Josh went out for dinner at Fridays and had their endless appetizers. I'm miserable now. My own doing too!

TuTu-Thank you for adding me to your prayer list. What wonderful news about your cousin and SIL. I sure do hope they continue to get better.

Hiker-Yes, I agree I need my health insurance but will have to see how things turn out with my divorce. I had a dream the other day that I was working two jobs again! Must be bothering me.

Kayak-I was really surprised I need surgery. My vision is being obstructed by my eyelashes and lids. Well so much for needing glasses. Hope you get to feeling better!

Manna-For days I look at the leaves in the yard left by our lawn man and think I'm going to rake them up. Perfect weather for it to. Well, maybe one day.....

BTW gang, have read just a couple of links in regards to mast cells and myasthenia gravas. I might be putting the cart before the horse.

Night all!
