Good morning. Hope you all had a restful night's sleep.

I walked 27 minutes with my trekking poles this morning between rain storms.

This is the final day of my spring break and I head back to work tomorrow. I am not as refreshed as I would like to be, but getting outside today helped.

AK--Going out to eat is what kills me and brings on the toxins. I am much better off cooking my own food and its cheaper for me.

LP--Hope the snow is gone and you have a productive (but as Ms. Tutu would say--not too productive) week.

Tutu--Safe travels.

Blessings to you all. [group hug]

Sunday-Shopped around three hours with Josh at our favorite local indoor flea market, Joey's. Josh picked up a lamp, dog food and water bowls and some DVDs. I bought two DVDs for under $5. By the time we were done my back and feet were hurting!

Hiker-Thanks for getting us started this week. Wonderful that you got a walk in today. I'm still leary about exercise due to heart rate and my lat is still a bit sore.

See everyone tomorrow!

I wasn't 100% when I woke up but was way better than yesterday. I've been having these days where I keep needing to lie down. I don't always sleep. Sometimes I listen to the tv. I've never been like this in my life. Well...I was worse at the beginning of Lyme and that lasted a long time. This on again off again weakness is wired

I did lie down some today but also made a lot of progress getting stuff put back where it belongs since kitchen was torn apart

Etta and i walked about 20 min. I didn't use walker. And was limping a little when I came back

I also returned some stuff I bought at Wal-Mart that smelled so bad I had to take asthma medicine...and then I bought a bunch of Epsom salts and a few other things

Tonight I worked on bills more and listened to country music awards

Hiker I have very few restaurant so can eat in also. When there are worker's at house I sometimes try to eat out but its getting harder and harder to find real food

A K glad you had a nice day. Hope you feel better soon

Tutu texted they were ok but star of show was having car trouble!

Well time to crash. Nite.

Hiker, Our spring break ended too! [Frown] Kids are off to school and I'm going to try to do some light work at the gym after getting my liver blood test done.

AK, don't think I could have walked around for 3 hrs. That's good!!

LP, I haven't made it a day yet without having to lie (or is it lay....hmm, never could get that one straight) down. I'll get there though.

Happy Monday to all.

Pouring rain here again, so not walking today. According to my smart phone, which I doubt is accurate, I usually walk about a mile while teaching per day.

A bit tired after 1st day back teaching, but I figured that would happen.

Went to chiropractor after work.

HW88--hope you got in your light gym work.

lp--Wow--weaning off the walker already!!!

Monday-Really bad weather here today with either straight line winds or worse. We were without power for 5 hours. Me and Mom drove around our neighborhood and so many power lines and trees down. It was very scary. More bad weather on Wednesday.

Kayak-Yay on walking for 20 minutes! You're doing great!

HW-I hope I can go to the gym soon too! I miss my Zumba classes.

Hiker-Always hard to get back in the groove at work after a break. Hope it gets easier as the week progresses.

See you guys tomorrow!

Hiker .. hope today is better for you!

AK .. scary weather! We are due for some tonight.

Kayak.. VERY sorry you are ill. Hope you are feeling much better soon!!!

Our trip was fine. We were in three vehicles, NOT caravaning. The star and her husband and the comedian were in the comedian's car. It had a problem with a "sensor" and it kept acting up.

He called his mechanic and he said to stop the car and restart it. They had to do that numerous times and it delayed them about an hour. Thankfully, they made it! We were worried that they should just stop and get a rental car.

So .. The promoter for the event got him all set up on getting it repaired ASAP while we were doing the show. Thank goodness for special favors!

The only downside was that the sound "engineers" must have been complete imbeciles. It was really bad. Supposedly, it was a new system .. but trust me .. These guys had NO clue what they were doing.

The people loved the show anyway and we had 1,200 there!! They loved the comedian. His mic always seemed to work just fine and they loved him. (Who doesn't??)

It was a BEAUTIFUL old theater built in 1923 .. It fell into disrepair for many years and was restored in 2003. It was amazingly gorgeous!

Hey, hiker.. if you will send me your phone number I'll text you a few pics.

My husband did a great job, though few could hear him due to the stupid sound system. I was on the front row, so I could hear him.

I managed to survive cleaning fumes in the theater and other restrooms on this trip, perfumed bedding in the motel (thankfully not extreme), perfumes from people, our friend eating mints and peanuts in the car, stress, traveling, lack of sleep, and more. I ate very little, but just enough to keep me going.

I was so afraid to eat something that would push me over the edge. I still can't believe I made it. I also fought back pain, knee pain and leg cramps on the trip. I was in the back seat of a large truck...no leg room to relax the muscles .. and believe me, these guys weren't stopping for much of anything! HHAHAAHHA... I took lots of meds to keep me afloat and at least it worked!

The show was over at 4 pm and we got home at 12:30 a.m. I got to bed by 2 a.m. and got up at 10:00 ..

I'm off for a nap!

Today started out rainy and warm. Now its sunny and warm enough that we have windows open!

I can tell the sun is lower as the air is not as warm as it was earlier.

Hubby is feeling really lousy today.

I forgot to send the peppermint tea roots along with the seeds for my son, so this afternoon I packaged them up and took it to the post office.

I have sewing to finish up this evening. And I'm tired! If I'd lay down on the sofa, I'd fall asleep.

Worked late night changing lesson plans.

Stopped at grocery to get some lettuce/spinach for a salad.

Stayed up too late last night watching basketball. Need to go to bed early tonight.

Ak--glad you are safe. We have heavy rain and then a mix of rain, ice, and snow tomorrow night Might get up to 3 inches of rain.

Tutu--Sounds like a great trip. Glad you persevered!

Tuesday-Picked up tree limbs in the yard for about 2 hours. Moved slowly so heart rate wouldn't get crazy. We're in for another storm tomorrow so I put trash cans, planters, chairs, tables etc. either upside down or away that are outside. Schools and government buildings closed too so I'm a little worried.

Kayak-Uh oh. I hope you're going to be OK. No time to be catching a virus.

TuTu-Thanks for the pictures! What a gorgeous theater! Loved those chandeliers! Traveling is hard enough without having to be *****y and entertaining. You know I bought some of those dye free benadryl liquid caps and take them every night with a dose of liquid melatonin. I don't know what you took to make it through your trip but please share if you can.

Manna-Did you mention in another post that you work part time? I'm going on 14 months of not working and if my health improves I'd like to start out part time.

Hiker-Josh is off tomorrow because of another bad storm heading our way. This is the state testing week too and he was surprised. One of the elementary schools here got some damage on Monday along with about 20 teachers vehicles having busted windows. I hate tornado weather!

Well, me and my aching joints and muscles are off to bed!

Manna. I remember those days. So far away. My hubs wasn't sick but I was. When I look back I have no idea how I got thru. Sometimes you do just have to lie down

Hiker. I haven't figured out greens. I don't think iceberg has any nutrients and almost everything else ends up spoiled before I eat it. I'm picky. Don't like black greens. I find that in restaurant salads all the time. The hospital 7 miles away is the only place I find good salads. I buy 2 whenever I am there. Very cheap and they make 4 meals. I often plan on going to buy them when I don't need to be in hosp but parking and long walk can be a problem if I don't find elec cart. Anyway...

Ak...I'm glad your safe. I was glad knowing tutu was farther north when I watch the weather and see those storms rolling thru. I don't know where manna is but I worry about you guys and my kids...all south of me...Virginia. Nj. N.Y. oh...one is west of me in northern N.Y. and then grandson in Boston. I'm glad all are safe right now

I took otc D. Med yesterday...cleaning lady picked it up for me and one dose made a big change...for the better. Hope I'm over the hump with that. I had found the same med in my box of old meds...it was expired in 2009!!! Last time I had this problem so it is not something that happens a lot

Today I woke up feeling like I was hit by a Mack truck again but I remembered I had slept overnight without having to take the one narcotic pill I cant seem to stop cuz of severe restless legs

So that is huge! First time I've gone over 24 hrs without one. Hope I am done soon. I can't get more and docs don't help you thru withdrawal. I know I found a recipe on line last time...I think it is called Thomas recipe. It is a group of supps that make it easier but I remember it was still hard. I think I lost a week of my life just getting to the point I could get dressed and go out. Then I was on supps quite a while longer

Anyway...I ate and took ibu for pain. I'm still sort of dreaming about somehow getting to see my 5 month old grandson I haven't seen yet...but Idk. I don't seem to be well enough long enough. And now with mcad I have to worry about food and motel rooms and all kinds of smells

I 'll plug along today and see how far I get.

I'm so glad you had a good time tutu and didn't get sick from trip

I have good news so must post again. Scale says I'm down 9.2 lbs. That is 1.8 lbs lower than my last low weight 4 months ago. Maybe I should live with the big D. More often. I think it has been over 12 yrs since I was this weight. I sure hope it keeps going down

lp--great news that you are losing weight. Unfortunately you have sent it over to me.

I just can't seem to get my exercise in. Pouring rain here again and then may freeze tonight.

Start the 1st of 5 days of state testing. AAH! We have 6 tests to give and I don't know why our administrators just don't have us do one in the morning and one in the afternoon and be done with it in 3 days. The kids finish so quickly and then sit around doing nothing as we can't send them out of the room until a certain time. AAH!

AK--hope you are safe.

The weather was wild last night. There was a really close lightning strike. Very windy .. it's been windy all day and fairly cold (about 48-50).

I went for acupuncture. I really like this doctor. He's going to help my adrenals on the next trip, which is Friday. My shoulder took a turn for the BETTER last week. First REAL improvement in YEARS.

AK .. glad you enjoyed the photos. I sent them to Hiker and kayak also. It was a gorgeous place.

The show opens Thursday night. The star has a weak voice due to allergies right now. Hope she will be OK on Thursday. I had noticed that she was straining to sing on Monday.

Besides the acupuncture, I attended two Bible studies today. I think I'm well-covered! LOL!!

I missed exercise today. Not sure I'll make it on Thursday either.

I forgot .. Meds I took .. Just made sure to take Zyrtec each day, Pepcid each day, and my anti-histamine nasal spray twice a day. I also took my usual 4 doses of cromolyn sodium.

Kayak .. you can take Florastor for diarrhea. Sure works for me. I also get help from Custom Probiotics D-Lactate Free. I have to be careful not to take too much or I get plugged up.

Wednesday-Stayed home all day waiting for storms. Thankfully just rain so far. Josh and his dog Ada came by for dinner and we watched some news together.

Was sore last night so took a pain pill and muscle relaxer. Big mistake! Didn't sleep well and felt crappy most of the day.

Kayak-I don't know if this will help restless leg but I've been taking two dye free benadryl liquid caps and liquid melatonin to help me unwind and get some sleep. I'm so glad this simple combo is working.

Hiker-Don't know if your state is this way but GA students test results figure into a teacher's evaluation. So unfair with special needs and limited English students thrown in for good measure.

TuTu-Acupunture helped your shoulder? I might have to give it a try when I can afford it. Let me know about the adrenal treatment.

Well, I'm exhausted and hope I can get some shut eye.

Ak, yes, I work part time. My hubby is the one with Lyme. I needed to go to work when he couldn't anymore.

Had another beautiful day. Got most of the laundry done and hung out on the lines to dry.

The boys had a nice day for their school trip. They ate their lunches outside at picnic tables.
Visited a business where they make ice cream and each one got an ice cream cone to eat. Also visited a post office to learn what happens there.

Hubby is feeling better today. He discovered at bedtime yesterday that he had skipped his anti-anxiety med at lunch time yesterday. That was a lot of the reason why he felt so awful.

I suggested he try cutting back at a slower rate instead of 3/4 a tablet. He has been working at weaning off, but only 1/4 a tablet at a time and he goes lonnnngggg in between cutting back. He feels its no longer helping anything, but that one is a hard to get off of.

AK .. yes, my shoulder problem is a nerve impingement and the muscles are in spasm. The treatment last week relieved that danged spasm! Relief at last! (I think the one that relieved it was my 4th treatment from him. He changed the placement of the needles and BAM! Success!)

This guy is good! I got the referral from someone in our mast cell group, so I trusted that. I'm hoping he can help me gain some foods back. I think if he can fix my adrenals and nervous system, it will get better.

Manna... getting off benzos is really really hard from what I hear. He has to go really slowly.

I envy your sheets on the outside clothesline!! OH, the beautiful fragrance!

I loved taking our classes on field trips!

Cool and blustery today. Worked late again and will work late tomorrow grading papers.

Manna--I have been on benzo's (very small dose of clonapezam) for 10 years to control myoclonus. Although I have cut the dose by 75%, I can never seem to get it to zero. But I still get some myoclonus, so I might as well stay on it.

Going to go to bed early tonight and prepare for tomorrow. At least the weekend is supposed to be warm and sunny!

My hubby has weaned off benzo's twice before, so he knows what its like to go through it.

The family doctor told him he will feel like he's going crazy, but he's not - its the meds.

Lots of rain today and a couple mild thunder storms - a rumble of thunder now and then. Nothing scary.

I'm tired tonight, as soon as hubby is done with his foot detox, I'm going to bed.

Hopefully we get some sunny weather soon. Poor hubby has been an achin' pain the last while. Said he's been taking Tylenol every day lately. He tries to avoid it unless the pain is too much.
Even then it only takes the edge off.

Thursday-Yay! Got plenty of sleep. Went to health food store and picked up liquid melatonin, organic sunflower seeds and a coconut water.

Then came home picked up Mom and ran errands. Squeezed in 2 loads of laundry, cooked dinner and colored my hair.

Going to a viewing and wake tomorrow. One of my Mom's friends son passed away from cancer. He was only 59.

Manna-One of my docs got the bright idea of trying me out on an antianxiety drug. I only took it once. I couldn't walk very well and felt totally sedated. To strong for me.

TuTu-Adrenals and central nervous system? Wow, keep us informed how it's working out.

Hiker-Almost Friday! Josh was telling me that after state exams things will be a bit easier. Told him we'll have to celebrate!

Anyways gang, loved reading everyone's posts! See you guys tomorrow!

TGIF. Only two more days of state exams next week.

Went to bank over my planning period and barely made it back to teach my next class. Line was unusually long.

Went to neighborhood grocery store after work and then went back after they got the bill wrong. Good thing I only live a few blocks away and that I did notice it as soon as I got home.

Pulled a few dandelions. Hope to attack a few more tomorrow, but since they attract bees, I may leave a lot of them. Way too many to pull anyway and I am not going to put chemicals on my lawn.

Am revved up since I had 2 cups of coffee this afternoon and I normal drink decaf, but had the "real" thing.

Time to do a few small chores and start thinking about dinner.

Manna .. for pain relief .. you might take a look at his diet. Is it high in oxalates? I took Tylenol every day (low doses) for 18 months. It did a number on my liver and I think it made my food intolerances way worse.

AK .. Glad you got some sleep.. hope that keeps up!!

Hiker.. I read that dandelions are essential to the well-being of bees!!

I did OK at the acupuncture appointment. Maybe that adrenal treatment helped. I sure was relaxed all afternoon. I went to see The Shack and could barely stay awake. It WAS a bit slow-moving, but I still enjoyed it.

(As always, the book was better.)

I went to opening night of the show and it was awesome! [Smile]

Hi. I m exhausted and read all the posts but don't think I can answer

I thought I had good PT session yesterday but last night couldn't stop restless legs without narcotic. I'm mad. I skipped 2 days and thought I was done with it

Then cleaning lady said she fell and couldn't walk so couldn't come

I was in bad shape from PT but plugged along all day doing cleaning lady's work as best as I can

I have to get up early and go to bank with neighbors to sign my will

Then back to regroup and see if I can finish house

I've read that narcotic drug will make pain worse at the end of weaning off. I wonder if that is true. Anyone with experience I know? I end up taking it to stop rls not pain

I use curcumin and fish oil instead of tylanol. If that doesn't do it I have used ibuprofen or diclofenec before tylanol. I'm afraid of tylanol

A K...you do so much. Whew.

Kayak .. you're SURE it's not the hydroxyzine causing the RLS? It does it to me.

I hope you can get off the narcotic soon. Can you take 1/2 pills or empty part of the capsule out?

I hate RLS!! Hope you feel better soon!!!

Friday-Viewing and wake went well. Talked with folks I hadn't seen since the early 80's! Lot of good memories there.

Then went to Josh's for pizza and scary movie night. Personally I wanted to rent either Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight or Hacksaw Ridge. Josh doesn't care for drama or anything sad and definitely NO CHICK FLICKS! Oh well......

Hiker-If I pulled dandelions out of our yard that'd leave only 50% of other weeds. LOL! The majority of my Mom's lawn has gone to sand. I hope I can revive it. Sure will take a miracle!

TuTu-My brother mentioned that he wanted to see The Shack too. I don't think he read the book. I still want to go see Beauty and the Beast but might have to go solo.

Kayak-Having been on pain meds and muscle relaxers off and on since 2002 I can't say I've had pain getting worse. I've got a slightly dislocated clavicle and my left shoulder is toast and I tweek them quite often. I took them when I pulled my lat muscle and it really helped. Downside is it flares up my MCAD and psoriasis.

See you all tomorrow!

Walked 26 minutes with trekking poles. Felt elated to be out in the sunshine.

Worked an hour in the yard, raking, weeding etc.

Sunny and about 70. Alex is here mowing now and I will help trim and rake. The lawn is so high the mulching mower won't handle it all.

Am wearing my new Lyme Gaiters that fit over our socks and jeans. They are pretty tight and I am petite so not sure how a larger person would wear them. I feel safer walking through my tall grass.

I just ordered something similar that you can put over your arms/shirt sleeves. I am going to compare the two. However, I have never seen a live tick--not even the one that bit me, so I am not sure how good the comparison will be.

I know ticks are around here as my neighbors have gotten them from their yards.

I spent about 30 minutes talking to the mail carrier. Her truck broke down right in front of my mailbox. I educated her on Lyme and she said she going to get a pair of the Lyme Ez tick gaiters.

Installed batteries in my solar paneled lights that sit by the sidewalk and I have a few out back. I need to get some more batteries and more lights.

I am totally wiped out and it is only 3:30, but it sure felt good to be outside. My windows are open and I am sure I will be sneezing from the mown grass later, but need to air out the house.

Have a great Saturday evening.

I'm really tired. Woke up in pain and been I pain most of day

Got will notoized. Lady had trouble figuring out what to do. I hope its legal

I made an offer on matching recliners that were 5 yrs old...I thought maybe they wouldn't have so many chemicals...they were in an extra room and hardly used. But they didn't accept my offer

I looked in local towns and there were quite a few older recliners. I did buy one for 75.

It didn't smell or make me itch or turn red...but there were 2 cats in the house...he said they didn't like that chair. And I could tell they heated with wood

I thought 75. Was worth the risk. I'm miserable with no place to sleep

I got it out of van and on front patio and o z o n e d it under a tarp

I'm gonna do that on and off...letting it sit in warm sun inbetwee n all day tomorrow

Then Vacumed it real good before I bring it in

I hope I can use it

I cleaned van a little and fixed bed for trip to nj...still thinking pos about making that happen

I picked up winter junk inyard and watched the Boston marathon movie on laptop

Handiman says he will finish kitchen wed. I hope it happens

I'm just in so much pain. No place to sit or even sleep

I know hydroxy does not give me led...but I have them now so I 'll probably end up with a dilaudid

Left hip is really in pain when I try to get into bed.

It sounds like2 of you are doing pretty good. PT told me to bring trekking poles Monday...

Hiker .. glad you could educate someone on Lyme. I'm so glad I'm not around ticks. I would never be able to use those socks.

Kayak.. I'm so sorry you are miserable. If you get another chair, please get someone to help you move it. Sure hope THIS one works out!!

We had choir rehearsal this morning and are ready for Palm Sunday tomorrow. Looking forward to Easter!

Saturday-Got home after 2:00 a.m. Earlier today the luncheon was great. Around 6 tonight I was down in the dumps because I didn't get an invite to my step grandbaby's big 3 birthday. [Frown]

Called my friend that recently went through her divorce and she invited me out. We went and grabbed a couple of burgers, watched a movie at her house and gabbed for hours. Just what I needed to get me out of my funk.

Hiker-Wow! Sounds like you had a really productive day! I didn't do to much myself but sure did socialize a lot.

Kayak-Sure hope the new chair works out for you. I know you're looking forward to some pain relief.

TuTu-Talked to my friend tonight about Easter. I still don't know what I'm doing family wise. My brother's church holds this big event at the local civic center and my friend mentioned going. Can't seem to pin my Mom down on what we're doing. Hopefully this week I'll have a clue.

BTW gang, my lawyer called me today and I'm going in to check the first draft of my divorce papers this Thursday.

See everyone tomorrow!
