Nice and cool here but we need the rain and it passed us by.

After church I made a meatloaf and then headed to the library.

The library is my home away from home.

Walked 30 minutes and most of that without trekking poles.

AK- sounds like a fun day yesterday.

Tutu. Hope you get your landline fixed soon. I am still in waiting mode.

Have a wonderful week. [hi]

Hi. I feel like I've been running a marathon but it is just life. ER last Fri. 2 days sleep. 1 long day Monday working on emptying 14 totes. Then many ppl things next 4 days...new washer..new tv..nd appt and primary appt

Rested yesterday mostly. Then today worked on 9 totes. Not finished but have 6 big bags ready to go to dump in morning

On Friday the primary said at my age(68) kidney stones that don't cause symptoms, cysts in liver, lung changes from surgery and a new inguinal hernia are all normal for my age and that's why she didn't mention them to me. What do you guys think of this. All she cares about is my elevated cholesterol and she wants me on crestor cuz it has less side effects. I changed my diet when I found out about the kidney stones

Is tutu off line?

I think I missed a k s last post. I 'll go back

I feel pretty yucky after sorting the totes. A lot of old papers kinda musty. I want to push to get the musty totes done so I can get clean and ozone house. I will be so happy to have this done.

Please let me know what you think about what primary said. What would you do? Ty

Lp, I think a primary doc that doesn't tell you what health issues you have (whether seemingly normal or not) is not a good MD.

I will never take a drug to lower cholesterol but that is me and everyone is different.

Time for me to relax.

Still no phone or internet at home. Went to work this morning and stopped at hardware store for wood putty.

Also went to library.

Walked 22 minutes.

Went to chiropractor. Have a splitting headache again. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Hiker. That's crazy. And you still make it here!

I'm in bed at 6pm. Suns still out. I got a slow start and forced myself to the 9 new totes. Today was 3rd day working on them. Found a lot of very old pics of relatives on both sides. Many ok..but so much moldy stuff I boxes its making me sick. Just yucky. Not bronchitis like toxic mold.

I took 5 small trash bags and the box the washer came in to the dump first thing. Then spent 4-5 hours sorting and washing totes. I couldnt do any more...had a good shower...supper...and I'm down for the night.

I hope I wake up really early and am able to weed the one corner at the end of the drive. Its supposed to rain tonight and I hope that will make weeding easier

I'm not sure if I 'll get back to boxes in the morning. I have to take van back for oil change at noon. Maybe finish boxes when I get back

I really want to be done with the moldy stuff. My oldest son has been doing ancestry.com and is very interested in pics.

I'm finding old medical records that jog my memory. That's good cuz ND is interested

And I'm deciding how to put old videos on dvd and what to do with pics. I think I'm going to make blurb, com books with them...but that will be a winter project

Its quiet with just me and you huh hiker? Home the others chime in soon.

Kayak .. I agree... find a new primary if you can. I hope you can find one. The patient should at least be told what is showing up .. and THEN tell them if it's nothing to worry about. Hiding info is never a good thing.

Those moldy totes sound like bad news. Get them done and take pics of the pics or seal them up and give to your son. I will be facing the same thing at Christmas. We may be clearing a storage bldg in TX .. My plan is to take pics of the pics if they are moldy.

Hiker .. sure hope you feel better by tomorrow! Yuck!

We went to the dentist today. Hubby had a follow-up (he had a bout of periodontal disease).. and the DDS had to fix my bite so my teeth wouldn't hurt. At least we hope that is what was wrong.

I don't feel that great... forgot to take my med before lunch and had tummy troubles. Took more meds and then more when I got home. I can tell it's MCAS yuck. Feel feverish, but no fever .. and fatigue. That kind of stuff.

Have to go to the city tomorrow night for OCC .. just found out this afternoon that we have a meeting. Not looking forward to it since I don't feel well .. and to top it off, they have new carpet in that bldg.

It really set me off when I was there back in November. I hope it's way better by now.

Where's AK?

Whew, sorry gang but when I got home Saturday night I noticed it was a little warm in the house. Turns out our AC wasn't working.

So Sunday and today had to deal with that but it's up and running. SIL family in the AC biz and repaired it on the side for $50 labor and part $50.64. Turns out a lizard fried itself and circuit board.

I've been busy with errands and housework and am wore out!

Hiker-Thanks for getting us going this week! I woke up with a headache today too. Took some Advil just awhile ago for aches and pains from too much cleaning. BTW, had meatloaf for lunch!

Kayak-I'm like Hiker in regards to Statins. I had bad swelling and pain in my lower legs and feet and could hardly walk when I was taking them this year. As to your GP....sounds like a blooming idiot! If they're doing tests why wouldn't they tell you the results? Or were they using the Magic Eightball scientific approach? I mean, come on! Really?!

TuTu-Hope you feel better! I was a little off today too. Was hot and sweaty also head felt weird. Kinda felt herxy. Made me wonder about the horse chestnut I'm taking lately.

See everyone tomorrow!

Hubby's exercise is getting from bed to his chair for a foot soak or detox, or to the table for meals.

Hoping this too shall soon pass............

Good to hear from you tutu. Hope BOTH of you feel better soon. I had a nap. Ate supper. Watched a movie and soon back to sleep. I'm excited about making the corner pretty. It has day lilies in back and asters in front.

But I need to cut tree branches too so I can see cars coming when I back out drive and it will give flowers more sun. Oh and there's phlox there too...I think I spelled that wrong.

I decided I wanted to get away from this primary months ago. The soonest appt I could get was next april! So I have to stay with her at least until I get the chest plastic surgery done cuz you need a primary to say you can have surgery

I'm looking for another one but they are all pretty much the same around here. 1 doxy for a tick bite an you 'll be fine.

MA general controls things here.

Feel better you guys. Night.

Manname--hoping you hubby feels better soon.

Tutu--I hate dental visits and I have pretty good teeth.

Ak--No AC in the south--AAHH!

Lp--you keep on going like the energizer bunny.

Still have a headache. Suspect I killed a virus and the toxins are causing the problem. Seems like I have a never ending sinus problem, but I really don't want to try antibiotics.

Harder for me to walk when I feel like this. Managed 23 minutes and over half was without my trekking poles.

Went into work for a few hours and then got my hair cut. Really short, but I like it that way, so I don't have to go as often.

My landline and internet are back up as of noon. Hurrah. 6 days without was a real pain.

Time to hit the comfy chair and read a bit.

AK ... glad you could get the AC fixed at a great price! My nephew owns a big HVAC company in Houston. He's building a very nice business and they are expanding. Very proud of him!

I didn't go to the city this evening. My friend who was going to drive, decided she had too many things to get done. I decided I wasn't up to driving that far when I don't feel well.

I'm mostly better this evening, but I'm still hungry and have few safe foods.

AK .. be careful of herbs .. you can run into trouble.

LP.. the flowers sound nice .. Please be careful out there!

manna .. Hope hubby is doing better soon.

Hiker .. Hope that headache goes away soon. Glad you got your internet and phone back. Our phone was fixed today too. Not that I missed it any.

My hero Glen Campbell died. I just loved him. Got to see him several times and he was just an amazing performer.

Today is Mel Tillis' 85th birthday. I saw a recent pic of him today and he's looking a little better. He's been VERY ill for about 18 months. Love him too!!

I missed a k s and man has post somehow

I had trouble sleeping so didn't get up as early as I planned but I weeded an hour while it was cool And put down one bag of mulch before one yellow jacket started buzzing around. It was drizzling. I wonder if they send one out to check out what was making all the racket. I'm pretty sure they live in the ground

I hustled to get me and Etta into house safe. Later I cleaned up except for one more bag of mulch and the rake. I hope I can get that done quick when its cool in the morning

I took the car in and realized they are not going to be able to fix it so I can get into back without getting out. It took them a long time to tell me that. They were very slick and I didn't catch on and then I got mad

In the middle of it I got a message that an elderly friend had died this morning

Do you guys remember a year ago I met my elderly friends for lunch and ended up having to carry one to the car. It was her

I w as very afraid for her living alone but she was fighting going To nursing home. I stayed away because she was making very dangerous choices. I kept waiting to hear that she was in nursing home so I could visit. But no one told me

So I'm mad at myself for not staying on top of it. I'm not sure I would have been able to go see her...I get sick in most buildings and around most ppl

And I have been having my own troubles. I just wish I could have seen her one more time after carrying her. But she wasn't making sense. She thought it was funny

So this was a wierd day. Reality is hitting me and I'm thinking I might have to finish up these first 20 totes and wait on the last 20 until I get taxes done. She needs them by Sept 15 or I am in trouble. And 3rd week of August I hope the last siding wall will be finished. But that will be a crazy week too

I'm really tired. Hope everyone can get good sleep and good air and start to feel better

Tuesday-Grocery shopping with Mom and later went to see The Dark Tower with Josh. Movie based on Stephen King novels.

Oh and three loads of laundry.

Manna-Hope the hub's health turns around. Remember those kind of days and sure am grateful for just about everything under the sun. Hang in there you guys!

Kayak-Question for you. Have you ever tried diatomaceous earth on Etta for fleas? Josh's poor dog Ada is having a rough time with fleas this year. He's tried everything his vet recommended and has his yard sprayed but she's just ate up with them. Thinking about DE and cedar tree oil or something. Help!

Hiker-Glad you exercised. I really need to work out because of stress and flab. I bought a two piece bathing suit for the beach next week and wonder what the heck I was thinking! Oh and I also have chronic sinus issues. Lived off Mucinex almost the whole time I worked at the dealership.

TuTu-Great to have family in that line of work! Glen Campbell was definitely one of a kind! I remember many of his songs. Hope you feel better!

See everyone tomorrow!

Howdy. Creepy day. Pissy mood.

My son made me feel better about the van. I forgot. I didn't have much equity in both cars I traded in.

I don't feel quite as stupid as when I woke up. I stopped the doxy awhile ago but I think its still affecting my brain

My lower back really hurts...I have major degeneration there and shouldn't be lifting the stupid totes. I'm not getting involved with them today. Next time I'm going to be very organized with plastic containers and respirator and has mat type suit. I'm just gonna get it done and not have to deal with it again. All will be labeled...no more sorting and breathing

The new helpers I thought I had are not calling back. So I'm just taking it easy. I did bills and stuff. Will probably walk Etta when its cooler

Just one of those wierd days. But its ok

Went into work for a few hours.

Walked 23 minutes but needed my trekking poles today.

Went to energy healer. I am already toxic, so I figured I might as well go and it probably won't get worse like it sometimes does. Hopefully it will help my headache.

Am breaking in a new pair of Saucony tennis shoes I bought on vacation. They are very comfortable but so different feeling than my Merrells. Will teach in the Merrells and walk in the Saucony's.

kayak .. Hope you can finish all the sorting very soon. It will be a load off. Sorry you couldn't get the van done. [Frown]

hiker .. hope you feel OK soon and can get rid of the headache.

AK .. Stephen King stuff is pretty intense!

I didn't do a whole lot today. I did go to PT and to the store. Sat at home most of the day and washed some clothes.

I'm also trying to work on a display for OCC for church. Not sure when I will put it on display .. but soon. I need some more funds coming in to buy what we need. We have more stuff than we usually have by this time, but we're almost out of cash.

I've been buying things in bulk for the shoeboxes. That should help us save money.

The weather is pleasant .. anything under 90 is heavenly to me. It is about to get even cooler .. along with some rain.

No headache today. Hurrah!!

Again went into work for a few hours this morning. Will go again tomorrow and then stay away during this weekend.

Since I had energy healing yesterday I am taking it easy this afternoon. No exercise to speak of.

Wishing it would rain here. The forecast keeps changing and taking the rain out. We really need it and then I wouldn't have to drag the hoses all over the place. Only in the low 80's, though, so I can't complain too much.

LP--Hope your workers come through. I am going to start calling you "the tote lady." LOL

Wow, I missed yesterday! Busy with errands then and today. Helped Josh with trying to flea proof his dog and where she hangs out yesterday.

Me and Mom shopped around at the indoor flea market today and I found a nice oval mirror to hang above the chest of drawers I use as a dresser. Bought some matte gray spray paint to spruce up the frame and some frames on some pictures.

Kayak-I get in a funk from time to time. I have to tell myself that it's OK not to be chipper 24/7.

Hiker-I have Merrells too and love them! Was looking at some Salomans recently. They make great hiking shoes!

TuTu-The display sounds like it'll be fun to put a together.

My sister was a huge King fan and that particular series of books were her all time favs. I went mainly for her and had a great time with Josh. I ate too much buttered popcorn though.

Oh, I'm not going to Atlanta for 4 days like I had planned. My friend's daughter is coming home from NYU so we'll get together another time. Still hitting the beach on the 17th though! Yay!

See everyone tomorrow!

Ak--Get some diatomaceous earth and sprinkle it around the house (without dog near). After awhile vacuum it up. It will kill fleas, but you don't want you or the dog to breathe it in.

Beach sounds wonderful. Dauphin Island?

Went grocery shopping this morning and made zucchini bread. Probably only get a few more zucchini from the garden now.

Went into work this afternoon for a few hours and folded all the Parent Open House Pamphlets etc.

No more school work until Monday.

Am watering now. Moving hoses and sprinkler from place to place. So dry here and no rain expected for about another week.

Vegging out tonight. [Smile]

I walked an hour while watering flowers. I mowed around 2 new flower beds so young girl won't mow flowers when she does rest of lawn. I walked Etta 10 minutes. And cleaned bathroom hall laundry room and kitchen floor before my friend got here. Then stood way too long saying good bye to my friend. We had a really nice visit tho. And no restaurant food to put me in ER

I hope I can fall asleep easy tonight. I'm going to go read what you wrote now. Might be back!

Happy vegging hiker!

Happy beaching a k.

Hope it cools down for you tutu.

Sorry one of our jerks killed one of your police. I don't think he was native here but he was bad here and in jail. I'm glad they caught him. So sad. Your cop was so young.

Yesterdays headline here was used needles found at beach I grew up on by children. It made me so mad. I've been thru a lot of crazy times in my life and survived....but it sure seems like its getting crazy again. Hold on and Pray I guess

Friday-Got my haircut and took Mom to her GP appt. She got a RX for more pain pills in case she needs them in Hawaii.

Afterwards took Mom to a couple of stores.

Noticed it was getting warm in the house and discovered fan not moving again on the AC unit. So no AC. Hopefully my brother and his niece's boyfriend can fix it.

Hiker-Oh no! Josh and I treated Ada with the DE and we got it everywhere! She struggled and accidentally knocked the sifter out of my hand so it went on her and us.

Kayak-Glad you had a wonderful visit with your friend! Sometimes some company works wonders for the blahs.

BTW, staying in MS but plan on driving to Dauphin Island which is about 25-30 miles from my hotel. Love the seclusion and the fact that it's not a big tourist spot. Looking forward to some introspection with minimal distraction.

See you guys tomorrow!

AK--Your upcoming trip sounds great. Hope your mom enjoys Hawaii with minimal pain.

LP--Friends make the world go round. I guess you would rank Etta up there, as well. Hope your sister feels better soon.

Tutu--Presenting on oxalates. Go, teacher!

I cooked a lot this morning and put items in the freezer for when school starts next week.

Walked 23 minutes this afternoon.

Have another splitting headache. Part of it may be allergens from outside since I have the windows open, but part of it may be the amount of dairy I have consumed this summer. I love to mix cottage cheese with fresh peaches or apricots and get my protein, but I think I need to cut out dairy. Maybe some harder cheese once in awhile.

I am not allergic to dairy, but the allergist says the more liquid or soft the dairy the more mucous produced.

My sinuses have been horrible the past few years, though, and I have not eaten much dairy until this summer, so something else is a factor.

Recorded the world track and field championships to watch tonight and will relax with a good book for awhile.

I walked Etta twice. Once before and once after my late lunch with grandson. He looked great. We never stop talking. I hope he will visit me more in fall and spring. Winter is hard driving and summer has a lot of traffic. So spring and fall will be less traffic but still nice weather.

My son who was going to sleep here tonight texted he turned around and went home. I don't know why...its not like him to do that. Maybe car trouble...maybe he's sick. He's been working very hard

Tonight when I walked Etta an elderly neighbor who lost her husband last year opened her door and spoke to me. It surprised me but we agreed to get together and visit.

I'm glad humidity will be lower tomorrow. It will be easier to think when the guy comes to give me estimate on bench for van bed

My teaching and presentation days are over for sure. Its very difficult for me to have a conversation even with ppl I'm comfortable with. I forget my thought in the middle of the sentence and when I know what I want to say I can't get the correct words.

Ak... I look for secluded spots at my beaches too. No charge for parking. Allows dogs. And as few ppl as possible.

Too tired to reply to everyone. I read everything.

The presentation went well. I forgot things, but overall it was good. At least I wrote out most of the info .. last night at about 1 a.m.!!!

Yes, do your homework at the last minute.. worked great in college too. LOL.

Saturday-Yay! AC fan has new motor so parts and labor $125 and have blessed coolness.

No exercise today.

Went to church Divorce Care meeting with my friend and stayed for services afterwards.

My brother is one of the guitarists in the church band this weekend and I sure was proud to see him up there on the stage.

Spent time afterwards with my friend and we swapped cars so hoping my brother (me assisting) can replace battery cable clamps on her car. Her car won't start sometimes so hoping to lend a hand.

Hiker-Way to go on the exercise! So classes start on Monday? Bet the cooking in advance helps a lot. I've had sinus problems for years! Seen improvement since antihistamines.

Kayak-That's great that you're getting together with your neighbor. I love visiting and chatting with folks. A coworker told me about Dauphin Island. Found out it's a dog friendly area so went for the first time with Rocky.

TuTu-Some of our bad study habits seem to stay with us for years! I need 24 CE hours before Jan. 2018 to maintain my insurance license. I need to get cracking. Glad everything turned out good for you.

Night gang!
