WORLD SERIES BOUND! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT REALLY HAPPENED!!

WHAT A GREAT SERIES AND A GREAT GAME LAST NIGHT.

Sorry I'm still shouting!! [lol]

Bonnie had the offer of a date and AK went dancing .. the chicken dance! What a hoot!

LP .. How much longer will your family be there? I hope they can make some meals in advance for you before they leave.

I'm off to church .. Have a great day, everyone!

(PS.. We had storms last night... not bad... just noisy and I had very little sleep)

Tutu-- I will cheer with you for the Astros.

Bonnie--loved your story about the elderly man who asked you out.

AK- was it the chicken dance that did you in or the beer at Octoberfest? [Big Grin] The combo will kill me off!

Raining today, so am not walking outside.

Dashed to library again and drove past work to take a picture of the sign saying, "Chargers Chat with the International Space Station." Thought I might forget to do that tomorrow.

Need to finish up laundry.

Have a super week. [Smile]

TuTu-Thanks for getting us going this week! I missed church this week and will miss next week because I'm driving my Mom and her BFF to Atlanta.

Looks like a no exercise day for me. Still recovering from Octoberfest.

Hiker-Yes, it was definitely the combo of Grolsch beer (tip from Maddog) and all the dancing. In 2 years and 3 months I'll be turning 60! Keep forgetting but my body sure does remind me!

BTW, was glad to hear Kayak is recovering nicely and BB is on the same wavelength as me and my friend.

Just last night me and friend were talking about dating. She's ready and trying to figure out how and where to meet someone. Me, I'm dragging my feet and not in a hurry at all!

Hope we all have a great week!

They left Friday night tutu. They did a bunch things for me before they left. I hope they got home safe. Both have to work tomorrow

I made a huge organic chic soup and organic pot roast with vegetables before they got here. Its frozen in small containers

I have eggs and oatmeal and apples too

I stayed in today. I'm constipated. I'm forcing water standing and walking as much as I can inside. I found stool sofener. And Miralax. I already doubled mag citrate and C. I look 8 months pregnant

Tomorrow a friend who is certified home health care is coming to help me shower. I'm still covered in iodine

I planned to call doc in morning cuz of itching even tho I'm pretty sure its normal and good and means its healing

Just tonight I realized there is a brownish discharge. Its probably normal but I will ask them about it

What bothers me the most is a new big pain in my right lower back. Could it be liver or kidney?

My shoulder is pretty bad too. I think they may have had me I position on table that would have hurt if I was conscious

I knew the way they needed my arm is not a position I can get it into. And for years I have not been able to lie on my back without poll is under my knees

So I will talk to doc office tomorrow

I have plenty of food.

I want to walk and it should help constipation...but I just felt like I needed a break today

Etta is pretty bored. I might go out in wheelchair with her and let her chase leaves if I can't walk

I read what you've been doing. I know rain is heading our way

My back hurts so bad I can't lift my leg into the bed without using a tool they gave me after knee surgery

I need another tool to put Sox on. But I'm pretty sure I 'll be back to my gardening in a few weeks

I bet all your pain is from being on that table during surgery. Just try to relax and wait it out.

You're doing great!

I hate constipation .. the mag should help.

Hi Kayak! Great to hear you're doing so well! Wonderful planning ahead for your surgery. Do you have a lot of post surgical limitations in regards to weight bearing, etc?

When I get constipated I drink the liquid magnesium citrate. Cleans me right out. Is that what you're taking already?

Do you think your back and shoulder wasn't positioned right during surgery? I have to wear a back brace when I do alot of bending and stooping. It helps so much.

Hi guys. I hope you are right about what is causing back pain. In night I got sharp pain on inside of left knee and it scared me it might be blood clot. But it stopped and hasn't come back

I mostly take mag citrate pills and v it C pills and all is well
Next I would add calm drink...but I don't have any. So I have been taking one cup senna tea a day. I also added stool softener...and I have other lax...forget name as but haven't used it yet

I haven't had opioid in 48 hrs so I could drive to health food store I guess. I'm still in a lot of pain from back tho.

Today I woke up and stitches didn't itch. They were driving me nuts last night. No burning either! That has been bad since surgery cuz opioid doesn't help burning

But back and neck pain are very bad. And I'm sleepy

I also can't weight bear...from knee surgery....this all means the supps and meds that cause blood thinning are really doing a a good job controlling my pain and keeping me out of wc

I just think its worth it to hold off as long as I can to prevent more bleeding and swelling and pain If I can

I see doc end of week. I'm pretty sure healing is going well. If she says I'm over the hump for bleeding I 'll go back on my regular nsaid and supps for inflam

For yrs docs who see my back xray wonder how I can be walking

I guess I should get back to bed for an hour.

Someone is coming to help me shower. And get iodine off. I haven't showered. Can't reach my pits. I can smell b o. Looking forward to this but should rest up

This is harder than double mastectomy. They sent me home with new cami with pockets and good size fluffy fake boob s. When I saw my daughter I did a shimmy to her face. She cracked up. I was pretty much concave when she took me in. Can't do that now without opioid tho.

Ok...I gave you your laugh for today. Talk soon

Lp--LOL

The students talked to the astronauts aboard the ISS today. Really cool. Amazing how clear the ham radio signal was for an object 248 miles above the Earth.

Worked a bit late and am exhausted. So, no exercise today.

High of 42 tomorrow. Ugh.

Thanks for the funny, LP. I hope today was a better day!

I got lots of things accomplished that I've been putting off for more than a week. The bad news is that I have more things to do that I've been putting off for more than a week! [lol]

Just realized today that I signed up to see a show tomorrow night, which just HAPPENS to be the opening game of the World Series! ARRGGHH ... I will still go to the show, but will tape the game.

I'll be monitoring the score during the game, but that's not quite the same thing!! Shoot.

Watching the Spurs tonight. I haven't seen them this year.

Monday-Slept soundly last night without RX drugs. Used Gaba Calm, liquid melatonin, dye free benedryl and inositol. It's a shame that RX is the cheaper route.

No exercise but made brunch and heated up dinner for me and Mom. She was having a bad day from lack of sleep. I just dosed her up with liquid melatonin and Gaba Calm so am praying she can get some sleep.

Kayak-I just got off opioids too and feel a little better. Think I hurt my bad shoulder last week moving shingles into the shed. Reading your post today made me realize how much you're going through. Lovely that you still have your sense of humor. That shimmy must be related to the chicken dance! Had to take opioids for that myself.

TuTu-Hope you enjoy your show tomorrow! I used to watch football quite a bit with my first ex. He liked boxing too so I'd watch that. Every now and then I'll watch college ball now.

BTW, I'm trying to hook up the acquaintance I mentioned with my MCAD doc. After reading the link I sent her she believes she has the same condition. Can't believe she had Lyme treatment also. I hope they can find out the link between the two conditions and a cure!

Hiker-Talked with Josh about an hour tonight and I really don't know how you teachers manage now a days. Even has problems with kids because of rain! I'm glad to be there for him to vent. Hang in there!

See you all tomorrow!

As for the connection between MCAS and Lyme .. any infection, virus, parasites can stimulate the mast cells.

Hi. Well today when I woke up I couldn't weight bear. Or is it bare. Idk. Couldn't at all and REALLY had to pee!!!

Used those hiking stick things...I forget what they are called...and the walls and other things the 6 steps to toilet

Whew. Then wc to get breakfast and pills but it was a few hrs til I could walk

I fixed our food and washed dishes from wc. At 1015 I could walk but it didn't last. in bed and planning very quiet day with movies...fb groups and naps.

Scar doesn't hurt or itch. That's nice...

I am fighting thick mucous in chest that could go to bronchitis...this is how it starts...they didn't give me that breathing thing after like I get after ortho surgeries

I'm taking highest dose of quaifenesin and clear I cam take. I hope it helps. I do have sx of lung worm but docs don't pay attention...clear does seem to be helping

I'm pretty sure I will walk when I go back on the nsaid and supps that tend to thin blood

I just checked in on tincup. She only has half the money she needs. I hope she can get enough to get the roof on.

I'm resting til lunch. I have a lot of food frozen. But I'm pretty sure I 'll be resting and waiting again later

It didn't let me write x c l e a r above

Glad you were able to get to the potty! [Smile]

It's like Illinois here today .. WINDY!!!

18 MPH winds and gusts to 40 or more... sheesh.

Going to a show tonight and will have to rely on my friends to help the Astros win!!

Really worn out at work. Fighting sinus infection.

Windy and rainy here. Will have our first hard freeze of the season this week.

I haven't put away summer clothes, yet.

May root on the Astros for a bit tonight, but need my beauty sleep for tomorrow.

Tuesday-Me and Mom both slept great. Take out breakfast then went to work on the gutters. I'm so weak! Up and down the ladders, hammering and using a pry bar wore me out and am sore. Taking Advil for pain.

I was able to remove the 3 downspouts but couldn't remove the gutters! Darn it! Could really tell I only have the use of one good arm.

I hammered and pried for about an hour and can't get those suckers down!

My brother is too busy to help so maybe Josh and I can tackle them Sunday.

TuTu-I think I've had MCAD since I was a child. I was a scrawny kid and had fainting spells. Had really bad reactions to cigarette smoke in the early 90's. I've just gotten worse over time. Lyme symptoms reared it's ugly head after 2001 accident and 2002 and 2003 surgeries. But then again I really don't know where or when I got Lyme and Co's.

Kayak-How's the back and shoulder? I can't live without Advil myself. I'm getting so out of shape I need to be careful about hurting myself.

BTW, I thought TC was able to get a roof put on. I didn't realize how tough things are for TC. Never mentioned anything when we met and sure can't tell by posts.

Hiker-I was constantly having 'sinus' problems and lived on Mucinex while working at the dealership. Had issues for years. What's really weird is I haven't had any more problems since being treated for MCAD. Hang in there!

See everyone tomorrow!

Still can't walk. Very slow day yesterday. I can start meds that will help Dr I noon if doc says its ok

I'm embarrassed but did world series start? Who is playing? When. Wheere. Where is it on tv. I'm still pretty dopey I guess. I sleep a lot. When Etta forces me to feed her I warm up some frozen chic soup or pot roast and veggies. All organic. I think its pretty healthy. Protein impt for healing

My scale is wierd. But first time on I was 8 lbs lower than discharge and next say 2lbs down.

Hard to believe cuz mostly I sleep. Too tired to sit up.

Talk later

It's now 1-0 Dodgers after last night.

Wednesday-Lots of errands today then watered the lawn and put up hoses. Hoping I don't have to water any more.

Roofer coming tomorrow to give me an estimate on removing the leaking gutters in the back and one side of the house. Hoping it's reasonable.

Kayak-Hope you continue to recover and the pain eases up.

Hiker-Anything you can take for extra energy? Sometimes I have to resort to coffee but sure flares up my mast cells.

TuTu-My brother used to play baseball as a teenager. He was the pitcher. My Mom and I went to all his games. It can be very exciting!

Well gang....off to sleep!

Hiker so sorry you are having a ruff couple of days

My last few yrs I looked at the calendar and planned how I could have many 4 day work weeks using planned days off. It was the only way I survived as long as I did. And I went out on disability 1.5 yrs early

After reading tutus post on neurontin I'm wondering if that is causing my mast cell. I'm stopping it today and weaning back on my supps. I may need more circuit than I used in past

I, too, played years of summer softball. Also coached it at the junior high and high school along with some basketball and track.

Today was another 12+ hour day at work, but at least parent conferences are over.

Time for a late dinner and to wind down.

I do plan to take tomorrow off work. Need to get some blood work done and just can't seem to get to the lab during a regular work day.

I have so many errand to run tomorrow, as well, that I probably won't sleep in too much, but don't plan to get up as early as I do for work.

I would love to play softball again .. just one day! [Smile]

That's great you are giving yourself a day off, hiker! Good luck on getting blood work drawn.

I had a busy busy day. Went to another OCC rally .. locally. Our speaker was my 17 yr old friend again. She did a great job!

Then she and I and another friend went for ice cream at Dairy Queen. Then the two of them headed to BOTT radio for an interview.

The 17yr old is being interviewed about her trip to Madagascar. It will be aired nationally .. (not live, though.) I can't wait to hear that!

Then I ran a few errands, including driving over to our church to get a few things for an OCC tri-fold board I am doing for our sister church. They don't currently do OCC, so this is to introduce them to it.

I made a contact last week and got permission to set up a display in their narthex. I hope to find someone to take up the reins there!

I also tried to clean the tub .. (I so need to find a housekeeper!!) .. and pruned all the plants on my balcony and porch. Everything will be dead soon.

I'm still pumped about the Astros win .. I just hope they can win all three in Houston. That would be amazing. My OCC friend is from LA .. so we're quite a pair! [lol]

Thursday-Egads! Tons of phone calls and trying to get so many things taken care of. Calls to government (on hold for over an hour), doctors, pharmacy, local tech school to inquire about proctored exams, roofer, heating and air guy, handyman, etc.

Then made an acorn squash, broiled salmon and pasta with a butternut squash tomato paste sauce for dinner. Josh came over but heating and air guy was here until after nine so we had a late dinner.

TuTu-I tried to play softball, tennis, etc. but I have terrible hand eye coordination. It's embarrassing! OCC sounds very rewarding and fun! Has to be hard work too. Gives me hope that an Astros and Dodgers fan can work together. LOL!

Kayak-OMG! Does Neurontin cause mast cell issues? My sister's health was so bad before she passed away. She was a diabetic (non compliant with treatment) and had issues with RX drugs. I've wondered lately if she didn't have mast cell problems too. Makes me very, very sad.

Hiker-Take it easy tomorrow. Wonder if it's possible to coach someone like me with no hand eye coordination. I'm also a very poor beginning skier. I took a beginner's cross country skiing class and I was the only one the instructor told to just give up. Well I didn't and everyh time I went I did more falling than skiing. LOL!

See everyone tomorrow!

It is midnight. (Oh, my.) I will turn off my computer and do my ankle/leg PT. Then ice.

A K I taught skiing and was on patrol for a few years and you can't learn to ski...or improve ...without falling

A K. Don't go by me that neurontin could cause mcad. It was clear to me that a shoemaker drug called BEG spray bright my mcad sx on...and after reading tutu s post I began to wonder about side effects being like mcad sx

By the more I think about it any med could help mcad along...cuz meds are toxic and its about filling your bucket...tutu...what do you think

So yesterday wasn't great. I took pics of my scars...cuz I can't see them in mirror...they feel good. Minimum pain...a little itching and I think that means healing...one looks great...the one not on side where shoulder needs replaced. This arm gets way more exercise cuz the other shoulder doesn't work...it gets more than I am supposed to do but I think it helped it. The other doesn't look like it is closing. Its not bloody...its healing...but with a big Idk...opening. Looks like grand canyon to me

I am so glad I will see doc in less than 2 hrs...I sure hope all is fine

After the neighbor is coming over to fix the footstool for the metal recliner I took the upholstery off of. The chair is work8my. I am not allergic. But I can't recline without the footstool and that hasn't been cleaned and is still burning

I haven't missed it cuz I've been mostly lying down for a week...I hope we can fix it and it will help me get stronger

Ok. Gotta get dressed and hit the road. 20 min drive to doc. Wed nite after dark when there was no traffic I drove around the block...about 5 miles on different kinds of roads to be sure I could drive. So I'm all set

Hope everyone has a good day

Ak--Making all those types of phone calls sure takes time.

Jubilee--Are you having ankle problems?

LP--Let us know how the MD appointment went today.

I took off work and did a gadzillion errands.

Went to get some blood tests and had to wait over an hour. I like this particular lab, because getting blood out of me is liking getting blood out of a turnip and they get the blood on the first poke.

Picked up some supplements at the chiropractor and then went to two grocery stores. Filled car with gas and went to mower parts store.

Called insurance about my clonazepam. Walgreens took over my mail pharmacy and they have been terribly slow. But I can get 3 months worth of pills there at a time for $5 and then get a refill without calling the MD.

To get the drug at my local pharmacy would be a little more expensive, but I would have to call the MD every month to get a new prescription. Why my insurance is set up this way I don't have a clue, but it ticks me off.

Finally put away my summer shorts and shirts and grabbed out some long sleeve shirts for work.

Even hopped on the computer while my writing class was typing their essays with the sub and worked editing them. Kind of fun to use Google Classroom and surprise them. I can type them notes.

While I did not get out and exercise in the 40 degree windy weather, I did get a lot accomplished. Amazing how much I can get done when I don't go to work. LOL

Plan to watch the Astros tonight.

Hi, Jubilee!!

Yes, drug companies and insurance companies are wasting a lot of time and money if you ask me. My little run-around with Rozerem really spelled it out for me how they are helping each other out.

kayak .. I think some drugs can trigger EXISTING MCAD .. Cipro and the like would be a prime example. Many on the MCAS board discuss it. I think it played a part in my problems as well. The first time I took any was in the 90's and that's when my problems really ramped up.

AK .. here is info on neurontin and lyrica .. has nothing to do with MCAD in this article. http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/3/37388

Got my hair cut today and then did a little shopping for OCC .. met hubby for lunch after his show this morning. It was nice to be able to do that. It's in the 40's today and a bit windy, but not like earlier in the week. It will freeze tonight for the first time.

The Astros and Dodgers play tonight! Holding my breath already!

Friday-Cooking for me and Mom today and one load of laundry. Also removed more clothes out of my closet to give to my support group friend.

Went to my niece's senior night football game. She's been a cheerleader throughout high school and tonight was an important game to see who goes to regional. Her team lost by 4 points.

Jubilee-Welcome to the thread!

Kayak-I know what you mean about driving practice. And as to your doctor.....WTH! Is English her second language? Has to be! Please be careful with the open scar too. A wound clinic is a great idea! Hugs!

Hiker-Glad you got tons accomplished on your day off. BTW, I don't understand the 90 days RX vs the 30 day. Mine was set up the same way when I did mail ordering. It's got to be a racket!

TuTu-Who won the game? Also thanks for the link. I won't take those drugs after seeing how badly they affected my sister.

Well, it's about 1:30 and I have to get up at 8:00 for another trip to Atlanta.

See you guys tomorrow!

[hi]

I'm so glad I'm able to add resistance weight-training to my protocol. It took me 4 years to get to this point, so I'm extremely grateful.

Well really it took me 10 months of LLMD treatment, the other years were of fruitless searching and incapable mainstream doctors.

Everything hurts, so tried, time for Epsom salt bath. My absolute favorite, as you all know !

P.S. ipkaak. . .

So sorry about all your recent struggles. I found this link for HBOT. Don't know if it's feasible for you, but your condition just might be insurance covered. Hope you feel better. [Smile]

Lp--I can see why you would be frustrated with your surgeon. How incompetent.

BB--Glad you can to resistance weight training. I need to add that to my nonexistent exercise regimen.

Rode the exercise bike 10 minutes today. Have not been on it in ages, but decided I should start slow.

Sleeting a bit here with some snow flurries.

Did go into work for a bit.

I haven't been to exercise this week... but I must say I've done plenty of exercising!

I managed to set up the OCC display at another local church. One of my friends who attends there has already texted me about completing some boxes. She has two young girls, so they should have a lot of fun!

Tomorrow I will go back there and set up a table for their trunk and treat activities. I'm very hopeful for this!!

Tutu. I just need yo recover from this. Almost all my other surgeons were excellent. Only the lumpectomy one was bad. I hope it just gets better.

BB...Ty. This is acute after surgery. It should be over now. I 'll look into that. This ordeal has helped me understand

how well my supps work for pain. I'm happy about that

Ty hiker. I wish you could fly away to a magical island for awhile

I took my regular meds last night and this morning and started the day walking with no pain

I do feel press re to get things tucked away before Sunday night when winds will be high with the rain

So my goal was 9 totes from carport to tent. And I moved 11. I had to spend some time organizingb tent so there was room for the totes and I repacked some so they were all light

It will start raining tonight but I can work in carport and shed tomorrow and it should all be cleaned up. Snow shovel for every door

The scar is very itchy but neighbor got the ointment and I guess I need 2 showers a day for awhile and I hope the scar will behave

Very glad I have sit down shower chair

My belly has been nauitius today...that wierd...but I am switching meds around

I'm pretty tired. Holding phone is hard now. See you tomorrow
