Hey, everyone! [hi]

How is your day going?

We've had a nice day thus far! Weather is crisp and sunny!

I'm off to consider a nap!

Sunny and crisp here, as well.

I raked leaves again for over an hour. Still have more leaves to fall. The rake broke and I had to go buy a new one. The old one was from my parent's house, so at least 40 years old and they just don't make them like that anymore.

Time to relax. Heading back to work tomorrow. [Mad]

Sunday-Was catching up on last week's thread. I need to clean cars, work in the yard, etc too. Will send a pic of lights. They're only on the front porch and I just use a step stool.

All I did was lay around the house and make a couple of meals for me and Mom. I should have been outside popping weeds but just felt lazy.

I did go out last night with my support group friend and another friend from out of town. We went out to dinner then to a local tavern and listened to a 2 person band playing 60's and up music. I was the only one in the group that went up and danced. Saw one of my Zumba friends there and just had a great time.

Josh was super fantastic and sat with my Mom so I could go.

Well, see everyone tomorrow!

[hi]

AK--Glad you could go out and have a good time. Josh sounds like a wonderful young man!

Back to school today. A group of wild turkeys strolled by the windows of the classroom. Of course, a lot of kids had never seen a wild turkey before. Pretty funny that we had turkeys outside the classroom and a few "turkeys" are always inside the classroom.

Am dealing with Walgreens primemail order pharmacy and getting nowhere. My seizure meds were ordered a month ago and have not arrived. I called and they said that brand of generic could not be ordered anymore.

Well, why wouldn't someone have called me or the MD to let us know. So, pharmacy called my MD and since they did not immediately get a hold of them, they just cancelled the whole order. [bonk]

I had to get the MD to fax in another prescription and I run out of pills next week. Ever since Walgreens took over the mail order pharmacy it has gone downhill.

Spent my planning time trying to get that all taken care of, so stayed later to do school work and will miss exercise today.

Monday-Up early for no show tree service. Supposed to be here tomorrow. Studied all day and have 3 more chapters to go.

So basically ate leftovers and studied.

Hiker-Thanks, he is very thoughtful and I'm blessed. I used to do mail order RX's too and I'd worry if I was going to get my meds on time more than once. As far as exercise......what's that?

[lol]

Hiker .. That's really awful about your meds. They keep making it harder and harder on us. My poor MD has to go to bat for me all the time when my insurance denies a med. (different issue, but I hear ya!!)

My mail order cuts it really close on some meds .. only allowing about 7 days of meds before the next script arrives. Worries me sometimes!

I didn't get a lot done today, but I did wash some clothes. I got some shopping done and I had to return my pajama top because it had a hole in it! HA! The most expensive thing I bought that day and it was faulty.

(I did exchange it .. so all is well.)

I'm off to see my acupuncturist tomorrow. Insurance is causing trouble again. I finally got them to pay for about 8 sessions and now they are back to denying them. Sigh.

I'm watching the Spurs and it's awesome because Tony Parker came back tonight! He was injured (torn quadricep...ouch!!) 7 months ago during the play-offs.

He is lucky he was even able to come back from that injury. Our superstar Kawhi Leonard was injured about 5 days later and he is STILL out. Really sad. He's a former MVP and was most likely injured intentionally. (hard to prove)

I hope he can come back soon. It's been really hard on the Spurs to have those two out.

OK .. So where is Kayak?

AK .. I know .. Exercise??? I hope to do that tomorrow!

I've been ok except for shoulder pain. And I've done a lot in last few days. I made organic chic breasts butternut squash and apple crisp and mostly ate that last 4 days. I had a little yams and stuffing and cranberry sauce...none of it gave me my regular MCAS sx. I didn't eat much tho cuz I was sorta nauteus. I can't spell it

I haven't been constipated that usually preceeds diverticulitis for me...but I have noticed I feel sore when I sit...and that is like diver

Temp and no ok

I really don't want to go. Last time the dx was constipation...embarrassing

And the place is full of creepy druggies

If I call doc I think he might give me some kind of penicillin

He understands I can't have flouro s or flatly

I took stool softener...senna tea and the supp with a lot of ginger from naturopath

Today I went to pt and got there late...locked myself out of house...so I only got 20 min lymph drainage

Came home and walked Etta over half hour...my tummy was crampy but usually walking helps get things moving

The I saw there was an east wind and took her to beach and we walked a lot more. We were there 3 hrs

Took nap when we got home...oh. I had an egg sandwich at beach they don't usually bother me

The other thing is I have been taking 2 supps for yeast and parasites for a month. They never make me sick except a little reflux I think from oregano

In the last week I have noticed some wierd stuff that might be parasites and I was happy they were coming out. Today I had more of that even tho I didn't take thesupps today...cuz of cramps

I really dontbwantbto go for so many reasons. I'm gonna go see what you guys posted

I was cryingbabout that at the beach. Just losing chance to go out with ppl. Cool about Josh too. I miss my one friend who moved across state. And Jackie whondied. There's 2 more old ladies but one is really getting dementia and she doesntbknow it...I'm very uncomfortable around her

Hiker...funny the turkeys showed up after thanksgiving...I bet they were teasing you

I got a huge packet in mail about changes in healthcare but I didn't think it started til after the new year...I looked at changes and it doesn't look good for me

Does anyone know if they pass this new tax bill will it go in effect in April?

It doesn't look like that will help either...it might help my one son with 2 kids

Ohhh. I'm tired of typing. I wasn't here those days cuz inwasvworking really hard organizing house. I was stuck and depressed but when I realized it was ok to keep stuff outside in shed if it was marked good I got going

Kayak .. I hope your symptoms are dying down a bit. Diverticulitis is such a big pain! I'm so sorry you are stuck with it.

I had an exhausting but fruitful day in the city. Had to take care of some paperwork after my acupuncture appointment.

Got home later than I had wanted .. so I missed my exercise here. I was too tired to go late. Got my haircut in late afternoon. It was weird to go so late in the day.

Hubby went to his show tonight and I'm staying home.

Graded papers after work and set up a lab for tomorrow.

Went to library tonight and grabbed a bag full of books. Am in the reading mood.

Called mail order pharmacy and they still insist they did not get the fax from MD even though I have the confirmation # from the fax. I told them to clear my account and I would go with a local pharmacy. Will cost more, but I am tired of the hassle.

No exercise today outside of walking around the classroom.

Hi everybody! Tuesday started with a bang first thing this morning with tree guys showing up. Once they were done took Mom for her echo.

Did just 10 minutes of raking and put the grill back that the guys moved. So basically a tiny amount of exercise.

TuTu-Thought things might slow down after OCC but seems like you're still busy. Things are ramping up for me too with tests looming and Christmas prep to think about. I'm not sure what to cook this year. Batted the idea of Cornish hens with my Mom but still haven't decided on a main course.

Kayak-Am sorry that you cried! I was down in the dumps last night and cried over a tiff with my Mom. Found out she had 'heartburn' Saturday night and she didn't tell me until last night! She hasn't been eating well or drinking fluids, hence the argument. She's very hardheaded! Also what's going on with your heath?

Hiker-Teaching should count as exercise! Josh was wearing a fitbit and he'd log in so many steps a day. You guys sure are on your feet a lot! Oh and I haven't forgot about the Christmas lights. Just waiting to be home when it starts to turn dark so I can get the best picture.

Super tired tonight so hitting the hay! Night gang!

I'm out of severe pain. Just dull ache and fatigue. My temp only goes up to 98.8 but I feel feverish and 96 is normal for me. today I see doc at 4 to talk about abx. I will refuse cipro and augmenting. Accept regular penicillin. Not sure about flagyl

Tutu I don't understand how you can be out and about so much. Around ppl. In buildings. At times it seems like I do ALOT but it is always outside and usually alone. Maybe short time to chat with neighbor or someone walking dog. If I can smell perfume or something I move on. If someone's dryer sheet smell enters my yard I say I have to go in

I just don't know how you do it. Especially the travel

Hiker I was prescribed an anti seizure drug for pain...not seizures. They always make a bug deal that I can't miss a dose and when I stop it I have to carefully wean off.

I just don't understand how that company can do that to you. It seems really dangerous

A K how did mom do with echo?

I thought of you yesterday when I walked around my yard and tried to figure out how to deal with a dead tree just over the property line

The land it is on is owned by an estate so there is no neighbor for me to ask permission to cut it down

2 large limbs will take down my elec wires and land on my bath and bedroom if they fall.

If I had permission I could probably get some one to take it down for free for firewood...but I'm not sure how to contact an estate

So...its beautiful here again.50s I 'll walk Etta a few times before I go to doc and maybe manage to pick up a few things in house before that

Tutu...I'm not positive but I think time and the all and soapnuts have fixed my washer

A K I was crying cuz since thanksgiving my oldest has been saying 3 or 4 of them were coming for Christmas. I was letting myself get excited. Then he called and said the days they would come are thurs Fri sat after Christmas. It just hit me hard I would have to pretend it wasn't Christmas ...like I do for every holiday. It just hit me cuz I got my hopes up

I'm ok. It will be nice if they all come at same time. Son wife grandson and my youngest son

Its better for me now to sit back and watch others interact. Its so hard for me to keep up with conversations and talk. But I love being there and seeing it go on around me

Well...time to start the day. Have a good one!

Ak--Still praying for your mom. And for your studying and test coming up.

lp--Where I live if someone's tree branch hangs over into my yard I don't need permission to cut it. Maybe someone will cut just those 2 limbs for firewood and not charge you.

Wish your family could be there for Christmas. I will go to my folks again, but my brother will not come up from GA. At least you will get to see family over the holidays!

Lab went well at school today. Tired my legs out.

Called my MD and got my prescription locally, so I should be able to get my pills before I run out.

Am slowly slowly decreasing my ACZ nanozeolite detox meds. Very tough going Legs twitch more.

Enjoy the weather while you all can.

Wednesday-Another super busy day. Up early to take Mom for her bone scan. They inject the dye then you come back in 3 hours. So me and Mom shopped around at the indoor flea market to kill time. After scan more errands. Also squeezed in meeting Josh for dinner. Whew!

Kayak-It was a miracle to see my Mom's beating heart on the echo. We don't know the results yet. Today was the total body scan and for both tests she was in pain from laying on the hard tables.

Just like Hiker said if the limbs are on your property you can cut them down. That's what we did. No discussion with the neighbor next door who's renting. Now we don't have to worry about giant dead limbs falling again on roofs.

Hiker-Thank you for the prayers. I'm glad my Mom's tests are done and now I can study some more. Just a couple more chapters to go then the plan is to read all 3 course materials the week of the test and go through my notes a couple days before. That's my plan!

Hope everyone has a terrific day tomorrow!

I read everyone's writing earlier today. Got to hear a nationally known speaker tonight at the college. It was really good.

Speaking of being around scents, kayak. Tonight at that event I was thinking "never again."

But later the smells seemed to abate. Once everyone sat down and was settled, it didn't smell as bad to me. Twice some smelly people sat behind us and then moved!

I told my friend, "I wasn't even praying for that, but I think I will from now on!" My right eye kept watering from the smelly stuff! I did go take a pill about half way through.

kayak .. What laundry soap were you using before? Nearly every single one has bad toxins. I only trust ALL Fragrance Free in my washer, but even it bothers me on my clothes.

I try not to use it for my clothes, but hubby's needs extra help sometimes. If I have to use it on mine, I will use 1/3 cup or less and add vinegar and the soap nuts.

AK .. Keep us posted on your mom. I hope she is OK. I will continue to pray for her.

The last echo I had about 2 months ago I spent some time watching the screen. Just hearing the heart beat is pretty amazing!

hiker .. I hope you have good day tomorrow... you're past hump day!! [Big Grin]

I did have a good day at work today, although kids are going home sick right and left. I need a plastic bubble around me to keep the germs away.

Graded some poems after school.

I got my tall neighbor to change the lightbulb in my garage door opener. Thank God for wonderful neighbors.

Am really wiped out. Legs twitched all night when I went to bed. Realized this morning I forgot to take last night's dose of seizure meds, although I have had more twitching lately in my legs.

So, am being lazy with exercise. I am sure I will get rake in hand again this weekend. Weather is balmy for tomorrow being December 1.

The 7th grade teachers are responsible for snacks or lunch one day in the month of January. We need some ideas!

Today the 6th grade teachers brought in items to make tacos. Sadly, the meat was gone by the time I eat lunch (1:00), but the guacamole, lettuce etc. was great.

Sounds great, hiker!

I managed to go to REAL exercise today. I did 26 min on the machine and 10 laps. Gotta work my way up!

One of my favorite nurses was there. She's subbing. She retired last year and we had gotten to be pretty good friends over the years.

Weather is nice .. highs in the 60's .. Doesn't get really cold until the middle of next week.

I'm going to the show tonight and to one of my favorite shows in the morning with a friend.

Kayak isn't feeling well today. She could probably use a few prayers.

Thursday-Spent the day doing laundry, cleaned the bathroom and made chicken cutlets, glazed carrots, fresh green beans and instant potatoes for dinner. Invited Josh and we three had a great time visiting. Am steadily gaining weight and feeling blah. Josh mentioned that we should start walking again and I agreed.

TuTu-Thank you for the prayers! Way to go on the exercise! Hope Kayak will be OK.

Hiker-How about Soup or Chili? I like to make things like that when it's cold. Actually I make it any time of year but it's especially welcome in the winter!

See everyone tomorrow!

Dropped by church before work to soak up some time with God.

Grocery shopped after school and picked up my prescription. Osco got the prescription wrong--only a 15 day supply instead of 30, so I had to go back. Getting this prescription filled has been a hassle and that stress

drove me to go to Chipotles to pick up a burrito bowl. [Big Grin] Friend coming over later with hers to sit and chat.

Watching Illini basketball tonight.

So, I didn't exercise but teaching and shopping was over a mile's worth of walking according to my smart phone.

I really enjoyed one of my favorite shows this morning. My friend had never seen it and she enjoyed it too. I may end up seeing it again next week because a friend from Texas just arrived and she has been saying that she wants to see it.

I'm really pretty tired today. I was not feeling well this morning .. MCAS stuff, but I took extra meds and made it.

Hubby and I ate out for lunch and we came home and took lengthy naps!

So .. didn't get anything done around the house. Tomorrow we decorate the church in the morning and then my friend from Texas will go to hubby's other show. She has not seen it yet.

Hiker .. I hope you survive the burrito bowl!

Speaking of food, AK .. How are you able to eat what you eat??

Friday-Another busy day of online bill paying, buying 2 gallons of water, gassing up my car and shopping at the commissary with my Mom.

We were buying things for Christmas eve and day meals. I've decided to roast Cornish hens for Christmas dinner this year. Keeping it simple with homemade (very rare) mashed potatoes and pan gravy, broccoli with cheese sauce on the side (for Josh), frozen yeast rolls, mini corn on the cob and if I can be sneaky a surprise Waldorf salad for my Mom. She loves it! Josh is bringing dessert.

Hiker-Stress will do that to you! I wish stress made me exercise but my scale says that's not the case. I really need to clean up my act in regards to diet. Today my blood sugar plummeted about 3 or so hours after breakfast. I know it's because I'm eating to many sweets and to much period! Ugh!

TuTu-Happy that you're enjoying yourself with friends and entertainment. And as for food, I think I'm paying in different ways than you. I've never really had stomach issues with MCAS. I do feel anxious, giddy and warm from foods and sometimes my mouth will feel funny. I have small broken capillaries on my face and redness and these get worse from meds and food. Need to clean up my act cause I'm taking a hit maybe in HPA axis, cardiovascularly and mentally. Sometimes I feel like I should just juice and drink my organic broths and teas.

You all are awesome and see everyone tomorrow!

Raked leaves for over an hour again. Don't know why I keep doing this when I know my neighbors do not rake and I will just end up with their leaves in my yard and then the wind will blow. LOL

Spent a long time trying to get my printer to print. Changed the black cartridge, cleaned it and it still won't print in black. Grr. Just got the printer in August.

Will let it sit awhile and come back to it.

Off to eat dinner and watch some football.

Hiker .. I hate issues with printers. I need a new one. Mine should work, but it's messed up some how. So aggravating.

AK .. Mine is not all stomach issues. I get ear ringing, flushing, dizziness, tingling... just feel awful. The giddiness or anxiety can happen to me if I eat anything high in salicylates.

Keep eating those REAL potatoes! At least it's not full of chemicals and histamine. I don't do well with potatoes. Too much pain for me.

Your Christmas dinner sounds good. I will look into fixing turkey legs in my Instant Pot. That is, if I can find any turkey legs!

Went to hubby's other show with my friend from Texas. The second half was a Christmas show and it was really good. The band sounds great!

Most shows here have Christmas music in the second half during Nov and Dec.
