I'm off to see a show this afternoon and another one tonight. Looking forward to both!

It's raining. We need more than this, but we'll take whatever we can get!!

Nice cool temps this week. I love it!

Hiker .. Prayers for Lisa and her mother.

Raining here, as well. We really need it, so am not complaining.

Lazy day. A little bit of cooking and laundry. Otherwise just reading.

Ak--saying some prayers for your trip to big city with your mom for her medical appointment.

Lp--Sorry about your phone. I am not a tech guru at all.

I walked 27 minutes this morning. Has been cool here with light rain. Love the temps in the 70's.

My friend's mother did pass away. I am so glad Lisa got to go be with her, but very sad for her loss. Lisa and I have been friends since we started teaching 34 years ago.

Refilled my bird feeders. They may need refilling again tomorrow. They are flocking to 3 of the 4 feeders, but I am not sure why they are not coming to the 4th one.

Ak--let us know how the medical appt. went.

LP .. I hope you can figure things out soon. At least we are still in contact with you via text!

hiker .. So sorry about Lisa's mom. That is such a hard loss to bear. I'm happy she was able to be there.

AK .. We hope to hear from you soon!

Where's Lyme 248?

I had an appointment with my orthotic guy. He's the one who got me back on my feet 5 years ago. What a lifesaver!

He put a metal plate in the bottom of my shoe, under the orthotic for the left foot. I'm having pain in the metatarsal area. He thinks it's arthritis, but told me to get an X-ray to rule out other things.

So . . I have to find a new podiatrist. Mine left town a few years ago.

I ran a few errands and then came home and slept around noon. I couldn't keep my eyes open. Later, I got up and went to the grocery store and a few other places.

Yesterday was GREAT fun, but WHEW exhausting!

Tomorrow I'm working with a friend at church on our OCC stash of goodies. We have lots of items for our kids!

The last couple weekends I've been going on some very long bike rides. I feel bad that I can do so much and many people can't.

But I have to take it easy after all that exercise, If I don't, I seem to get very anxious.

I'm glad the chest pains I was getting every once in a while went away. Instead I got one of those round Lyme rashes right over my heart, but not a new bite. I don't know what that means.

I'll probably be on the way to being well after I take care of this tooth that's been giving me trouble.

I'm always busy with a million things a once, and I try to prioritize, but sometimes it doesn't work so well.

Lyme248--Soo glad you can exercise and that you are on the way to getting well.

Don't feel bad that you can do things others can't. We all have burdens and God takes care of us.

Walked 22 minutes this morning.

Met with local contractor about replacing front doors. I love the double doors, but he suggested putting in a single door with side lights. I ask him to estimate it both ways.

Then I will get an estimate from a bigger company. Prefer to work with small local businesses but may not be able to afford this one.

Am communicating with my friend whose mom died and helping her with the program for the memorial service. I doubt I will drive the 5 hours for the service as it will be my mom's birthday and I would regret missing her 91st.

lyme248 please dont feel bad about doing good! it gives me hope!!! afew yrs ago i was kayaking and riding horses...my plan is to get back to that

um my appt today...ovarian ultrasound...from inside...hurt really bad i dont think she knew what she was doing ... like the tecs that take my temp in my ear but the thermometer is behind my ear and they are staring off into space...

i will talk to doc who i am close to about it only once in my life have i ever been hurt with that kind of exam

i did take etta to beach after i recovered from appt but i sat whild she explored and then i moved the car and did it again

there was a light breeze off water but not enough to push back humidity and sewage smell...i hate summers...but i practically have the beach to myself for 10 months

no word from A K huh?

im a little less tired but more scattered...i guess i was supposed to be at foot doc today same time i was at gyn...so new appt is first week of sept unless someone cancels

so tomorrow i must get at least this one open area organized cuz friday the guy come to hook up tv and land line phone

im back on all the meds and its irritating...the herx is odd feelings

small walk with etta to talk with neigbors when we got back from beach theres about 10 houses in our little neighborhood its 2 dead end roads im at the beginnig near the main road

way down the other end is a young couple with 2 small children she is very attractive...we have becaome friends shes home schooling kids and is quite smart

she is upset because a drone got really close to her window while she was working out she called cops and they arent supposed to do that but its hard to catch them

thats the excitement from my neighborhood

sure hope a k is ok do we know what the trip was for? regular check up or something else? see ya soon. after my living room is clean!

Yes, we are happy you can get out and do things, 248. Sometimes I feel guilty for posting what I am able to do, but we all have different levels of illness.

I don't post every negative medical problem I have. No one would want to hear it.

Hiker .. Hope you can get a good deal on the new door! I agree that you need to stay home and visit with your mom. Time is short.

LP .. I hope the test result will be OK. That is really strange about the drone too. Glad you found a new friend!

This morning my friend and I worked on stuff for OCC. We got it really organized. It looks so much better in our little room and we have everything inventoried.

Now to buy more goodies. The packing party will be in late October and that will be here before we know it!

I went to hubby's show tonight. Not very many people there. Tuesday is their slowest night.

AK, we love you!

Wow guys it's been rough. My concussion was much better by the time I had to take my Mom to ATL for her followup in regards to her liver cancer.

THANK GOD SHE'S STILL CANCER FREE!!!

Coming home on Monday I had a killer headache and my face was swollen. Mast cells up in arms I reckon.

Feel better today.

Thank you all for the wonderful thoughts and prayers!

You all are my lifeline!

Love you guys!

Glad you made it home safely. I'm sure all the stress made the mast cells pretty angry! Hope that calms down soon. Take extra meds if needed.

SO HAPPY MOM IS CANCER FREE!!!!

Ak--Thrilled with the news about your mom.

lp--how scary about the drone.

Did a bit of weeding today.

Got my hair cut.

A teacher friend came over and we spent the afternoon on the back porch yakking. She is pregnant, so I gave her one of my loveable stuffed animals that my aunt made me when I was a child. (kangaroo with baby in pocket).

I still have 2 bears and a big lobster that my aunt made to give away.

Hiker..That was really sweet to give her the stuffed animal. I bet it's adorable.

I was lazy today until about 3pm (slept late too). Then I ran a few errands. I also did a little shopping for OCC.

I found pencil bags, shirts, scissors, pencils, pens .. all on sale. Some cute tops for little girls too.

oh my goodness A K good to hear from you! and with good news too yay!

i managed to keep my self going for 12 hrs...i used ice cream and tv to bribe myself...well sort of tv...i found a show i liked from 2 yrs ago that i never saw...so i let my self watch an epidose or half of one when i need to reat my back i mostly work from wc but even so back can get bad

i found receipts for 2 building materials i can take back and i think get $20.

i packed some supps for my dil who is embarrassed about being constipated...i have plent of suggestions about that...first thing they told me was miralax wouldnt work i told them good!

i sorted and clipped together 7 months of bills even if i cant get medical deduction i want to know how much i spent

i kept moving machines around to keep humidity down and i did make some progress clearing off surfaces in living room. but not enough to be ready for phone/tv guy tomorrow at 3

im pretty sure it will take me til then to get the room ready after he leaves etta and i can return stuff to lowes

i also....drum roll here...if you know how crazy scared i am of bees...esp yellow jackets because of what happened to me when i was about 10...you would understand i have been trying to get rid of a small nest in one of my cedar planters ... i sprayed and it didnt stop them...i think there are only a few...but i cant get them to leave...i asked my son and i think he loves all critters...he told me they were gone but they werent...same with wood chuck...so today when it started to rain i decided i was going to wait til they couldnt fly in the rain and tip the planter over so the nest get s wet and hope they go live in a junk yard car or something...but when i got there i saw they were going in and out in the rain...so i waited another hour til it was really pouring and i did it... i got back to house without seeing one...and never did see them from the house...i thought they would be buzzing around i hope they didnt die...but i need my space.. . one young wood chuck might be ok...except he really likes to eat my asters and they are about the only flower i have left...but if it has babies .... it already stinks i know when it is near it sleeps under shed i just need it to go find a spot out in the woods im going back to trying fox urine...

i alos ozoned car and put cardboard down to see if i can figure out if my car is leaking oil. i think it might be my son is talking me thru how to figure if out from his home 7 hrs away

and i did a few dishes and i got a new cover on daybed mattress and made it up it looks good its in office cuz my real couch is supposed to come here august 10th i think if i get some of those wedges i will be able to sleep on it...it has a chaise and that will save money on heating and cooling...and also make it easier for me to clean house i think if i just keep my clothses in the bedroom...and shut the other rooms down. i hope cuz its all too much for me now

still a lot to do but im not so mad at myself. the other ppl on the meds im on say its normal for them to make you tired but stuff still needds to get done

well

Errands and shopping today. Made brunch for me and Mom and did dishes.

TuTu-Thank you! Sounds like your getting a great start on the OCC project!

Hiker-I also got my hair cut. I went back to the super short pixie. It's my go to no fuss or muss hairstyle. No more hair sticking to my face and neck when I'm outside sweating buckets in this heat! Loved hearing about the stuffed animals!

Kayak-Be careful around the yellow jackets. I don't know what was getting me every year when I lived in the country and would cut grass. Their nest was in the ground and they'd come out and get me when I mowed over it. Hope you have an epipen just in case.

See everyone tomorrow!

AK-I need a haircut too.

Kayak- it sounds like you did a lot-I always saving housework until things get so messy that I can't ignore them. I'm proud of myself that I finally cleaned the window with all the dead flies on it last weekend though.

I got rid of the moles in the garden once by mixing up some cayenne pepper powder and water, and pouring it down the burrow.

It's been much too humid for me to do much outside lately.

Went for a walk this morning (27 minutes).

Laundered sheets and remade bed. Normally I just toss covers up and don't make it neat except when I change the sheets. LOL

Made blueberry muffins to take to mom this weekend.

Filled bird feeders again. They are going to eat me out of house and home.

My neighbor who works for a remodeling company came over and looked at doors and windows. If he did the work I would have to go to Home Depot and find all the windows, doors etc.

So, might be easier to go with a different company who will order all that for me. Russ was helpful in pointing out that if windows were still under warranty I might be able to get just the window panes replaced. Unfortunately the warranty is up.

He also told me what his company would charge to install front doors, so that will be helpful.

Now I need to get some more estimates. I kind of prefer not to use my neighbor as the person I do business with in case I am not satisfied. He is so nice and helps me with little projects and I would hate to ruin good neighbor relations even though he might be cheaper.

Am really tired today, so taking it easy this afternoon.

Glad your post showed up, LP!! You got a lot of work done!!

I NEVER worry about killing something that could kill ME or others. NOPE. Rattlesnakes and wasps are in the same category.

AK .. I was stung by one of those wasps that have nests in the ground. I still remember the pain!! I was about 5 years old and had to wear flip flops to school because of the swelling. Flip flops were NOT allowed in school back then.

I'm letting my hair grow out. I'm working on a page boy .. almost there. It's at least all even now, front and back.

Hiker .. I wish I had given you some bird seed when you were here last year. I'm going to give it to someone soon. I keep forgetting I have it.

I know what you mean about not hiring friends. I had a friend do a built-in china cabinet and shelving once and I wasn't that happy with it. I didn't feel right saying, "Please do this part over." All in all, it was OK and probably helped sell our house for us.

I did 37 min on the machine and 6 laps .. then went to the other gym and walked a mile. Ran errands and now I'm home. Hoping to get some actual work done this evening. HA!

The weather is nice .. warmer, but nice. It will be hotter for a few days, then cooler again. By then, we will be half way through August!!

ak that sounds like yellow jackets they often live in ground did i tell you i flipped the planter over in the rain? i actually ran back to the house ,,,first time i ran in at least 10 yrs...about 20 steps too/...today when i drove to store i saw i had uncovered the nest...its right there i will post pic on fb i sent a pic to my pest guy and hes going to deal with it tomorrow that nest kept them happy and dry all night long when it was downpours today they are working away...i feel bad he will kill them if he moved the nest very good chance they will come right back and build here again sad...but i need my space

248...i had hundreds of chipmunks before our week of downpours and i still have not seen one the others have heard this story but once when i first moved here there were too many chipmunks i used fox urine and the whole neighborhood saw them all going down the road...i thought i was so smart...then that winter house was infested with mice the mice moved int the chipmunkd burrows...and then into house it was horrible i got pest guys they said the chipmunks will never come in house and they are dominant over mice so wont let mice on propeerty

so i am concerned the downpours killed all the hundreds of chipmunks and i will be invaded by mice this winter it never ends

hiker around here home depot is awful it false advertises and most of its materials are moldy ...lowes is a lot better...but contractor liked Harvey windows and they are much better than the ones i got from local place my brother in florida likes peach tree i think but you dont want to go too cheap on doors and windows the good ones pay for themself controlling heat and cold

yes tutu ...those were
the kind i put a fence post into a nest and had to run bank to house about 3 acres... many bites i had long hair too i have been irrationally afraid of bee s since

so i have some bad news i hope its not horrible but its pretty upsetting the ultrasound showed the cyst grew from 3.2 cm to 4.6 cm in 7 months it hadnt changes size in 10 yrs. i waant it out...but im not sure if doc witll take it shes sending me for enzyme test...it tells something about if it is cancer i think

i like this gyn...but she and oncologist are with hospital i hate the one run by mass gen that i have walked out of so surgery there will be stressful

i got my tv 40 more $ a month and a total of 12 channels i think he was supposed to make it so i could use my amazon fire stick but he didnt...i noticed he left some really important looking equipment here too...so maybe when he comes back he will fix the fire stick

see u tomorrow

Did just a little shopping today with my Mom. I might try the gym next week. Want to make sure I'm recovered from the concussion.

It's been a wet summer down here L248 so I'm getting out of yard work.

Our house needs more efficient windows Hiker. I know they're expensive. Way to go on the walk!

You're a workout machine TuTu! Wish I could grow out my hair but it's getting so thin it looks awful unless it's short.

Gonna have to check your FB page Kayak. I hope your tests come out OK.

See everyone tomorrow!

LP..Sure hope the next test comes out OK. Keep us posted.

AK .. yes, make SURE you take care of yourself with that concussion.

I know MCAS can make a person's hair thin, but maybe you also have thyroid issues? Mine used to be thinner but now it's better from thyroid meds.

Walked this morning for about 20 minutes.

Did 2 loads of laundry.

For some reason I am really tired today.

My friend, Lisa, stopped by to grab an item to use for her mom's memorial service. She came back from WI for a few days and then the whole family will go back up this weekend.

Off to read.

My aching footsies! Lots of errands and grocery shopping. Then after dropping off my Mom at home I went to the mall for a couple of hours.

Bought some bootleg Crocs for yardwork and shorts, Tshirt, earrings and shoes. So I'm a happy camper.

Josh just finished his first week back at work and is struggling with getting up early. Hoping next week will be better.

Glad you got a walk in Hiker!

The things that got me were black with a bit of red or yellow TuTu. I didn't know what they were. Didn't look like wasps or bees. So glad I don't have to battle those any more just fire ants so far.

Good night everyone!

Did about 30 minutes of yard work this morning. Mainly watering flowers and my young trees. Very dry.

Drove to my folks and mom had a huge grocery list waiting for me. So, I went to the big grocery that I hate and got that accomplished.

Time to relax.

Humid and wet out. I haven't gotten much done.

I have some cucumbers and lettuce in the garden that I need to pick.

No exercise today. Attended a birthday party with Mom and that's about it for the day. Debating if I should do some yard work, go out for a drink or rent a movie.

It's hot and humid here and I'm not to keen on the yard work.

I feel like a slug!

Weighed myself and I've gained 6 pounds!

I'm not a fan of grocery shopping either Hiker.

Good luck with your car Kayak!

L248 I'm struggling to go outside myself!

Off to figure out what to do.

Hiker .. I hope you are rested up from all the grocery shopping and are able to enjoy your visit.

AK .. the crocs sound wonderful. Wish my feet liked them. Your pics on FB were cute!

LP .. I hope the leak is minimal. Probably cheapest to take it to new place. If it's major, then go back to the dealer.

You had to leave the beach because of smells?

I hope you can stay cool inside.

248 .. humidity stinks!

I washed sheets yesterday and blankets and rugs today. My bathroom rugs drive me insane because they "shed" .. constantly. I bought them from BB&B but they are awful. They look nice, but .... I've had them since before Christmas and they STILL shed!!

The weather is hot, but not as humid as usual. Hubby and I met at a restaurant in the late afternoon, so we are set for the evening. I guess I should find more to do around here. I have plenty of things I could be doing!!

Have a good night, everyone!
