Well Happy Easter to all! I didn't make it to church but seem to be very meditative today. So greatful my brother is on the mend.

I'm sitting in yard and Etta is having a ball chasing leaves from gusty breeze
Greatful I have my little house and big yard with lots of flowers.

There's a small roast in the oven that will make over 20 meals for me I think

And I'm looking forward to reading a bunch of new books when Etta is ready for nap

Greatful for so much support from my online friends.

Very aware of so many problems in world and feel blessed to be where I am

How's everyone else? Will you fit exercise in today?

Happy Easter!! [Smile]

Tummy ache this morning (lots of those lately since I dropped nanozeolite and am using other detox methods).

Skipped church as our priest uses lots of incense on Easter. Can't tolerate that.

Walked 28 minutes singing Easter hymns to myself.

Glad I chose not to go to my folks as they are getting 5 inches of snow today.

It is snowing here now--up to 3 inches of wet snow predicted. Guess I will be shoveling later.

Otherwise, doing laundry and relaxing today.

Have a blessed Easter and a great week!! [group hug]

Happy Easter, everyone! HE IS RISEN!

I agree, kayak. I'm grateful for so many things. I got all teary during church today, thinking about it. (even though I felt faint twice today and am in more pain than I'd like to be)

It pays to be grateful. Always.

Hiker, I'm so glad you stayed home!! It is cold here, but above freezing. (34 this morning) We went out to eat after church and it began to pour.

We didn't have a single umbrella, but we have 4 of them in the house! LOL .. The rain didn't last long, but it was already flooding a little because the ground was saturated.

Church was beautiful .. the flowers were awesome and our trumpet player added so much to the service. We also had tons of people there, many visitors and extended families.

OH .. and yesterday my friend and I went to see "I Can Only Imagine." It's a must see movie! Really wonderful. I also want to see the one about the Apostle Paul and the new "God's Not Dead" movie.

Add 30 minutes of shoveling Sunday.

Of course, I complained about it, but then realized I am blessed to be able to physically do it.

Monday-Waiting for the exterminator and then off to the eye doctor that botched my eyelid surgery. He's probably going to want to correct the other lid but I'm not doing it! I just use eyelid tape to even them up. It's a real pain but will just have to live with it.

My plan is to rake the yard again when I get home but we'll see how that goes.

Little down because no Easter calls from family in town. Josh came over for Easter dinner so it was just us three.

Wish things were different......

On the bright side......

As to April Fool's Day I have to share a prank played on my friend early this morning.

So my friend stumbles to her bedroom door while it was still dark outside. Opens the door and runs into an invisible barrier.

Would've been neat if it was a forcefield or something but turned out her daughter saran wrapped her door frame.

That daughter needs a trophy or something......

[lol]

AK--Great prank!! Sorry to hear some of your family did not check in yesterday. That is out of your control.

Let is know how the eye doc appointment went.

I just read in the paper that one of the doctor's I saw when I first had symptoms of Lyme has had his license suspended for coming to work inebriated. Hope he never gets it back as he told me I was simply depressed, wrote that down, and now it is in my medical records.

Sun came out today and melted a lot of the snow. So, I did walk outside around 20 minutes. [Cool]

Supposed to storm and hail tonight. Welcome to the prairie in spring.

Ran a few errands and am going to relax the rest of the day.

Getting up at 6 A.M. tomorrow is going to seem like torture. [Frown]

Ha hiker. I thought you were back at school today with crazy sugar high kids!

We got your snow...about 6 hrs of flurries that melted. But it seems all week every 24 hrs something else is coming

A.k. it's extra sad family isn't communicating with your mom sick. Somewhere along the line I had to let go of sad feelings when family and friends couldn't understand what I was going thru.

Even the cancer. Not sure why. But try not to dwell...cuz that will hurt you more

Also a.k. I must really beconfused about where you were and when cuz I always thought you were in Alaska when you walked rocky. Doesn't take much to confuse me

I can't believe its 5pm and I'm lying down. I got so little done but I'm exhausted.

I did mail income tax prep payment. That was important. My refund wasn't as m7ch as usual cuz I was so disorganized. And I sent it in before I found out how much I spent in Nov and Dec

And I think that means I lost it cuz law is different next year

Then i tried to order some stuff I've been trying to order and everything went wrong. So much writing and double talk from marketers...I try to be smart about my money but its so hard

Did you know you can't buy oatmeal that is both organic and gluten free?

And the brother I don't get along with asked me to order some fish oil for him...And I was happy to do that...happy to find away to interact with him that didnt hurt me. But it took hours to find what he wanted

And exhausted me. My brain and my eyes

For some reason I haven't been able to take weight on left leg all day. Shin feels like its gonna snap. I guess my 3 slow walks around the yard with lots of sitting breaks was too much

I have so many projects that I didn't get to. But I got a few things done that were important

I cut up the roast and froze 10 servings. I only came out with 12...but its really good

Ettas depressed cuz I'm nottaking her for walk. She has been on long leash on the patio for quite awhile tho

I hope I get some kind of second wind so I can burn some calories
Tonight

Oh! First thing I did this morning was put ad in free section of Craigslist and in an hour I gave away the quilt I had washed about a hundred times trying to get the dryer sheet smell out of it

I got a whiff of it this morning band decided to put it in trash. Thenfelt guilty that someone might want it and sure enough. They were happy And i am always happy when I can help someone cuz I cant do much. Cant seem to
Take care of me at this point

AK .. I hope no one plays that prank on me. I'd probably fall and break something! I saw it on Facebook once.

AK .. MEN do not usually call their mothers .. It's a given. So .. YOU call them and put your mom on the phone. It will make that issue disappear. My brothers do not call ME. I call THEM. Problem solved. [Smile] They love me, they just aren't going to call.

Hiker .. I'm glad you were still home on Monday. I hope today goes well!

kayak .. I hope the weather shapes up for you and hiker soon. I would go nuts! It's bad enough here, but a piece of cake in comparison.

We had a very cold Easter, yesterday was about 50 degrees and this morning it's about 66 degrees right now at 10:00 and we will have a hard freeze tonight. That's nutty enough!

I spent a lot of time yesterday taking care of paperwork. Still haven't done the taxes. I may have to ask for an extension, but I AM going to do them ASAP. I might be able to do them on time if I get busy tomorrow.

Tonight is the opening of the show hubby is in!! Woot woot, it's that time of year again! I also have a Bible study this morning and then exercise at 1pm. I have a Dr's aptm at 3:30.

ak....i missed about the prank. funny. made me laugh thats a good thing.

im kinda down this morning ive been fighting real depression...and not being able to walk with out help for a second day is hard to face

i didnt even use leg yesterday couldnt. its the same pain in shin doc has always said...nothings wrong xray is fine so all i can do is rest i do have a new topical for pain i can try but the pain is so bad when i weight bare...(not sure which bear to use) it feels much more like bone than muscle or soft tissue it doesnt hurt if i dont try to walk on it so that is good

i couldnt sleep last night...not sure why. but i ended up finding a short easy to understand explanation of mthfr by ben lynch on my kindle. i have tried and tried to understand this and between my brain and the way it was written i just couldnt get it.

this was like an overview...but it is older so im not sure if it is relevant...but i do see ppl refer to him as being a good resource. so i hope its correct...if maybe incomplete

two impt ideas i got from it are

1. you can have mthfr problems even if you gene is not mutated

and if you are low thyroid and it is not corrected with meds...you can feel like you have major mthfr problem even if no gene problems

if this is the case...like me...then certain diet and supps can help

2. having mthfr problems can really make mcas worse

so with my new "allergy" reactions to almost everything i am very motivated to understand what i am able to do to help

...one major change for me will be going gluten free. ive had so many tests and docs tell me that wasnt a problem...and i dont immediately get sick from wheat...and i do try to stay away from glyphosate cuz i know i react to that...but maybe the little bit of gluten i get will make a difference if i stop. maybe it is cumulative or something

also...i dont have a lot of dairy but i do put cream in coffee...so may that will be enough to make a difference. i never feel bad with dairy either...but really need to figure out something

i am in a down hill spiral for sure and it is scaring me

i still cant figure out how to get my mthfr test interpreted one friend said it is not mutated but now i realize that doesnt always matter

i have my computer out ...finally...so will be able to check email and hopefully look closer at what he said in that book so i can make the easy changes right away

we have snow coming but if i can get dressed in time i might drive to beach and sit in car while etta runs on long leash and i breathe that is always good for my mood

and !!! yay for my brain...i figured out how to play music on my laptop...and it has a really good sound but i also have speakers...not hooked up yet...but tiny

so that means i can pack up 2 bulky stereos probably sell one...and have more space and less clutter here all cd s too that is good

also...i can exercise my hands some cuz it bill time for me. and i can do that sitting down

im really trying to focus on above and put one foot in front of other today...but the one really sad thing is my brother just texted he was supposed to go home...a lot of things are going right for him...but his white count is up so he is on his way to catscan to see why. and he wont be going home. good they caught it tho.

(i know its wrong but im feeling really mad at that nurse that screwed his antibiotics up for 3 days. grrrr!!!)

hope hiker has a good day at work to day.

and hope last night went well tutu.

Did not have a great day at work. Kids way too hyper and not giving their best effort.

lp--I use the Pandora Website a lot and listen to music via computer that way. Can you put CD's in yours?

I won't part with my CD's. Still have a stereo I use in the living room and a "boom" box downstairs for when I ride the exercise bike. Believe it or not I still have a few cassettes I use to play music in that boom box.

Felt good detox wise yesterday, but not today. Part of it is that I feel my body has gotten so used to taking something every day to detox that it has gotten used to it. Now that I am decreasing and changing it up, my body doesn't like it.

Off to relax. No papers to grade until Thursday.

Tuesday-Paying for raking leaves for 2 hours yesterday. Just did 2 loads of laundry and some cooking today. Other than that made a point to medicate last night and stay in the bed most of the day.

I'm down for the count!

Kayak,
We put our 23andMe results through NutraHacker and it gives a list of the mutations, what they do, things to avoid and things to encourage.

That might help you figure out some of the MTHFR stuff. We just got the free version, not the one you pay for.

As for exercise... I worked this morning, took my son for his lyme check up - he's done with seeing the doc!! Cheers! Still is to keep up his herbals another 2 months.

Did some sewing, not as much as I've have liked to get done, transplanted the celery and made snack mix for hubby.

The new revamped show was totally awesome! Now I've got to do another Bible study for tomorrow. We are studying the book of Daniel in this one.

Nite nite, everyone! I hope you sleep well, AK!

Thanks for info on NutraHacker, MM. I may need to see if that one is easier to use. I paid for Livewello and can't figure out how to get that done.

Whew. What a day. I'm having trouble moving...both physically and mentally. Not sure if its depression or just normal considering

I forced myself to do 3 things...close checking account I haven used in years...pick up meds(both drive thru s) and I bought a pair of shoes hoping more support will reduce shin pain so I can stand and walk enough to keep up with dishes and laundry. So I do feel good about getting a few things done

And they count as exercise too...stretching and walking including stairs in shoe store

My phone is acting up.

Manna...good to see you. Ty. I might pm you to try to figure the Mr her stuff out

A K...So...sorry you are down. My yard is a mess. Plow dug up some of my beds. And I was recovering last fall so things don't look great. Lots of leaves in bushes and sand on drive. But raking and shoveling are very hard with this shoulder. I don't know how you do that for 2 hrs

They haven't identified his infection but say it is common. Nurse will check him every day

Thanks to tutu for keeping me sane this morning when they found the new infection!

Ak--Treat your body kindly!

No exercise today except walking around classroom keeping kids on task.

Still feels like winter here--biting wind.

Tutu--Will have to check out that movie.

Good idea to get more supportive shoes, LP! I’m still wearing orthotics in my New Balance sneakers. I have to wear them if I want to walk.

We are supposed to have a hard freeze tonight and snow on Friday. This better be winter’s last hurrah! I think more is coming next week, though.

I went to bible study and ran errands

Very cold and windy here. Many lost electric. I'm very greatful my little house has stayed warm
Snow tomorrow

Still working on paying bills.

Decided to send back very special expensive no Voc sealer I was going to use on the chair the kids gave me for Christmas

It gave me asthma as soon as I opened it. I'm still wheezing

Hope a k ok

On my feet all day. Whew.

Went grocery shopping after school today as tomorrow is supposed to mix of rain/snow/wind.

Picked up a few branches in the yard. I was hunting for lichens and moss and found both. I am such a science nerd. [Big Grin]

Relaxing for evening.

Went to acupuncture today and did a tiny bit of clothes shopping. Found a really cute sleeveless sweater that I can wear to shows. It's not really sleeveless. I have to wash it before I can wear it. For sure, because the dye smells.

I also found two pairs of denim capris that fit. I was in and out of that store in less than 20 minutes!

I got home and went to exercise after saying hello to hubby. [Smile] lol .. Brought food home and later I will return something at Target, then head to the show again. I want to get some more pics and videos.

Hubby has fewer solos but the ones he did were awesome! I'm sure he feels less pressure this year and that is good. The show is really good.

Treating my body kindly went right out the window yesterday. Raked two more gigantic bags of leaves and acorns. Put 15-0-15 and Scott's bonus S out with the spreader and watered the yard. So about 3 or so hours of yard work.

In bed rest of the day yesterday and most of the day today.

So sore!

So 2.5 months left right hiker? I hope they go by fast

Ak...do you really have to work like that? I just can't imagine doing that with your shoulder. I do stuff in garden but it is usually fun for me

I know I have to simplify my life. I just can't keep up with cooking laundry and cleaning. And I'm here alone with etta!

I'm having trouble figuring it out but I know I have to. It would be so embarrassing if I had to call ambulance guys when it looks like this here.

I'm glad things are going good tutu. Was the sweater new or from thrift shop. I have not been successful washing the chemicals out of clothes lately. I hope it works for you

Today I spread throw rugs and towels all over my vinyl floors and wore my new shoes to try to stretch them a little. I did laundry and dishes and twice went to computer to work on bills They fit good everywhere but the top part

They improved a little but tomorrow I'm going to wear thick Sox and do the same thing

I worked an hour and lied down an hour all day. I even have to lie down after sitting. I'm not sure what's going on. If I'm just getting old or if something is wrong

At 5 I returned something to rite aide that smelled and picked up the shoes they ordered for me. They are dansco
clogs. My last pair lasted 10 years

They support me well and I don't need orthotics...and!!! The owner helped me and took $33.00 off the price!

I haven't heard from my brother all day. Just a yes that he got home

Oh besides walking around house I also moved the chairs I had out in sun into carport cuz were getting snow and sleet tomorrow afternoon. So that was my exercise

AK... Please be careful with your body and with the chemicals... Scary to me. I hope it brings you a bit of pleasure? Find something fun to do today and rest up!

Kayak .. The sweater is new. I THINK I've given up on my consignment shop. It was pretty smelly though. I took a chance because it is so cute. I will soak the clothes in baking soda today. They are currently in my trunk off-gassing, right along with some rugs I bought last week.

I hope your shoes will work out OK!

Hiker .. I hope you are having a good day. Not much time left to deal with those kids!

TGIF!! 7 weeks of school left.

Should be walking, but cold and chilly out, so I think the rest of the day and evening is relax time.

Supposedly I walked over a mile at school today, so I guess that counts.

Ak--I don't bother with weed killer or fertilizer anymore. Too expensive for my large yard and I just don't like the chemicals.

I am sure my neighbors to the back would like fewer weeds, but the side neighbors don't kill weeds, either, so it is not worth it.

Ditto a k. Chemicals are bad with mcas...hard to predict

Lately I seem to be reacting to baking soda...I'm having best luck with dr bronners sensitive in laundry. And I am able to use washer and dryer now.

I have been sitting in wc most of day but got up early to meet
Fed ex guy picking up bad Amazon order. And I have been working on care credit and visa cards...

I keep thinking I'm finding problems but usually I'm not. Its something I forgot.

Also did some laundry and kitchen work

I think my brother might be depressed. He doesn't text me first and his answers are short. He's tired and weak. But I think that would be normal after big surgery. Plus he's on 2 iv abx and 1 oral

It was sunny when i got up. Now the grass is white

Oh yeah. Ps...I wanted to say I stopped the doxy to see if I felt better and my eyes immediately got worse. Just like they were when I first went to eye doc in Jan. Burning itching blurry.

So I guess I 'll go back on but I am concerned about making any borrelia I have left get resistant. We know the bb dose is 200 mg. 2 x a day and I am only taking 100 mg a day. So I need to think on what to do a little more. But in am grouchy when i cant see

AK .. Seven weeks!! Woohooo!!

Kayak .. Maybe you could take 50 mg a day and not be herxing and it would still help your eyes?

I react to baking soda. Always fun.

Also .. men don't text first.. My husband hates texting.

******I HAVE NEWS!!******

Today we signed the papers on buying the condo we've lived in for the past four years. I kept it secret because I just felt more comfortable doing so.

We're thrilled to be able to buy a place. Very grateful to my father in law for having the foresight and ability to buy land as an investment.

The best part is that we don't have to move unless we want to!

My energy healer, Gretchen, passed away this morning. Please say prayers for her family.

She was such a kind person and gentle spirit.

I am very sad.

Will pray for you and her family, hiker. It is indeed very sad to lose someone so special. She will never be forgotten.

Thanks for prayers.

Went walking for almost 30 minutes. Cool but sunny.

Cooked some.

Went to coffee shop and started writing a note to Gretchen's husband.

Stopped a local garden center and bought a few plants--I love cacti, so bought 2 of those and a couple of other plants that you supposedly can't kill. LOL

My BFF is coming over and we are going to do some school work together.

Hiker...I'm happy about all you are doing today. It sounds healing.

My exercise was laundry kitchen cleaning and bills from wc

Then a stand up shower and shampoo. I'm going to count this as exercise now since the standing and stretching is hard for me and my HR goes up

Then from 6 to 8 pm beach outing with Etta. I was on my feet 30 min...some walking ...some standing. All hard for me. I wore big winter Sox to break in new shoes and it went well

She had a really good time and deserved it. We stopped at a place I haven't gone lately...and its different from storms...but better

Also...this isn't exercise...but. I talked on phone with new fb friend for 1.5 hrs. I listened a lot and then told her the couple of things that I thought were most impt to get better

She has strong Lyme background
and now mold...mcs...and mcad

She's older and her problems are overwhelming...but they put my problems in perspective

She's in Texas.

My beach trip was really nice with beautiful sunset clean air and I watched a blue heron eat supper in the marsh.

I'm hoping all my friends and family find peace and rest. Sometimes life is really hard.

Saturday-Just pelvic floor exercises today. Cooked brunch for me and Mom and did dishes. Friends bailed on meeting and church so took myself shopping and picked up tacos for dinner and headed to Josh's. He was busy doing homework so I just vegged out.

Hiker-Am so sorry about Gretchen! Still praying for you and her family. She must have been an incredible healer.

Kayak-I wish I could pay someone to do most things but I'm strapped financially and trying to ease some of the burden off my Mom. Hope I'm not being unwise in my decision but it sure won't be the first or last time! LOL!

TuTu-I do get some pleasure in yard work but I like the results the best. I like to admire my handiwork. Lately it's getting harder on my shoulder, back and SI joint. Trying to get the grass to grow and fertilized properly so I can turn basic maintenance over to our yard couple.

Sorry I haven't been responding as usual but spring cleanup for the yard was really tough on me this year for some reason. Thank God my prolapse didn't get any worse so there is a silver lining after all.

Been reading everyone's posts and am so glad we're here for each other!
