Lymetoo, I tried your fried patty pan squash! It reminded me of fried eggplant. I shall have to fry up another batch!

We are having a rainy day today, so working at inside things. Time to get some of those spider webs swept away!

Want to put a batch of peach butter in my crockpot. Uses less sugar then jam or jelly. I will not add the spices to have a more 'peachy' flavor instead of spicy.

MannaMe--peach butter. To die for!

Did my shoulder exercises. Sadly both shoulders are still very sore. You would think after 4 1/2 months I would not be. Maybe sleeping full night in my bed contributes. Will try sleeping back in recliner tonight.

Otherwise am having a lazy day. No laboring on Labor day for me.

A few people stopped by to pick up the free camera and miter box saw. Am hoping the lady interested in the circular saw and sander comes by today, as well. My old camera still had some film in it but I haven't used it in over 20 years.

Spent some time comparing my current internet and tv packages to Comcast/Infinity. Right now I am ahead a few dollars, but I now TV will increase in price in October.

Oh yummy memories, Manna! I haven't had that fried squash in about 30 years or more.

Hiker .. I'm going back to DISH as soon as I have time to arrange that. I've done my TIME with DirectTV.

I saw a deal for $60 for DISH.

Survived the family spaghetti dinner yesterday. Was good and had my sauce on zoodles. Had tons of sauce left so bought some brown rice and quinoa penne pasta and cooked that today to go with the leftovers.

Today I just did my home PT and arm routine. Also did 3 loads of laundry and think that's going to be it for the day.

TuTu thanks for the hoe cake recipe! I'm going to attempt to make them one day for dinner. I've got some purple hull peas that would be delish with them.

Manna, I've never had peach butter and now I'm going to have to try some. My Mom bought a couple of peaches at the local military commissary and we couldn't even finish eating them. They weren't juicy or sweet and had alot of brown spots on the inside.

Hiker I sure hope sleeping in the recliner helps with your shoulder pain. I always end up laying on my bad shoulder and it wakes me up throughout the night. I've been doing that since 2003 so it's the new normal for me.

I've been dragging butt all day and think I'm going to go to bed early tonight.

See everyone tomorrow!

Went to physical therapy. Definitely the exercises making me sore. He increased the weight on one and reps on another. Ice is my friend.

Did shoulder range of motion exercises this afternoon.

Was going to go for a short walk but 30 mph winds blew me around the driveway, so nixed that. Lol

Praying for those in SE who will be affected by hurricane.

Exterminator came out and we had to have our security door tweaked. So wasn't able to hit the Y until 3:30. So did my usual 20 minutes of walking and 10 slow jogging on the treadmill.

Blissed out in the sauna for about 15 minutes then showered and headed home.

Ate to much of the gluten free pasta and sauce for dinner!

Hiker please be careful with your therapy! Not good that it's causing so much pain! Hope those of our friends and family in the hurricane's path will be safe.

Well....veg time! See everyone tomorrow!

Yes, Hiker .. go easy. You don't need another surgery.

AK .. GF pasta sounds good!

Well gang.... Serv Pro (the other owner) called me today and offered $1000 and I would have to sign papers.

NOPE

So I called the lawyer instead.

I did my shoulder exercises.

Refilled bird feeders.

Set up my appointments for dad with two doctors who might do the surgery on his ear. Of course, I had to make separate appointments over a week apart.

The more I learn about this surgery the more I think it might be too much for a 96 year old. Radiation would also be tough on him. I have lots of questions to ask.

Going to cook a bit.

I did my at home PT and arm routine. Me and Mom didn't make it to the wellness center today because my car wouldn't start and I was parked right behind her so we couldn't get her car out of the carport.

So I got a ride to my brother's auto parts store and picked up a battery. Changed it myself and been vegging ever since.

TuTu what the heck is wrong with Servpro?! Sure hope the lawyer can straighten things out for you!

Hiker I'm so sorry about your Dad! I'll be praying for you guys!

See everyone tomorrow!

Ak--I don't think I could lift a car battery anymore. You are quite the mechanic.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Went grocery shopping.

Drove the 70 miles to energy healer. She felt like my surgical shoulder was so much stronger. Left shoulder very inflamed, but she didn't notice any tears. So will keep icing.

She found the tear in my right shoulder last December before I had even seen the orthopedic surgeon.

Relaxing tonight.

At home PT and then went to the Y for my usual 30 minutes on the treadmill. Baked for 15 minutes in the sauna, showered then headed home.

Grated some purple cabbage and carrots to make a coleslaw to go with my chicken salad.

Made creamed chicken for dinner tonight so Josh came over and brought his lesson plans over to do afterwards.

TuTu I'm sure pinching my pennies so I thought I'd put that battery in myself. Hope your acupuncture visit went well.

Hiker that battery was on the heavy side! Glad I didn't shock myself or pull anything! LOL! That's just amazing about your energy healer! My old functional med chiro restricted my diet before I found out I had MCAD. Glad your shoulder is OK.

Well, it's after 1:00 so I better head to bed. Night all!

Went to physical therapy. He increased weight on machine and reps on another exercise. Then he said to do exercises once a day instead of two the next 3 days.

Stopped by library to pick up books that I had on hold.

Beautiful day but I have had my windows open the past couple of days and my allergies have gone beserk. Gets worse as I get older.

I guess mold and ragweed are high right now, so I sadly shut up the house.

Tried to make a dermatology appointment for myself but can't get in until January. Need to get on cancellation list.

Sat down this afternoon and wrote another poem to add to my collection of over 200.

Was going to take a nap, but elected to eat some dark chocolate instead. [Big Grin]

BFF coming over with Chipotle later. Our usual Friday evening chat time.

At home PT and arm routine then Mom and I headed to the wellness center. Danced around at my Zumba class for about 30 minutes and Mom blasted away on the NuStep.

Ran a couple of errands afterwards then set Mom's clock and mine in our cars after battery replacements. I had to reset my radio channels but not Mom's.

Headed out this evening for a free concert downtown and did a whole lot of walking and a bit of dancing too. Had a great time!

Hiker it's tough when you have to bump up weights. I'm using 3 and 5 pound weights for my arm routine. Using them for weeks and it's still not getting easy. I've been buying organic dark chocolate and desperately need an intervention!

Night everyone!

Did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Made a meatloaf and froze half. Did one load of laundry.

Zipped to grocery to grab a few items. Struggled to carry gallon of distilled water. Only doing 4 pound weights at home for shoulder and gallon weighs over 8. Sigh.

Cut my peonies down to the ground like I do each year. Felt good to do a bit of yard work. Am pacing myself so I don’t overdo.

Am sitting on deck reading and icing shoulders. Not even 80 today and will not reach 70 tomorrow. Then summer returns midweek.

Plan to watch Illini football later on TV.

Today was a Y day and my usual 20 minutes of fast walking and 10 slow jogging on the treadmill. Stayed in the sauna for 20 minutes then showered and home to pick up Mom for more walking at the mall.

Hiker take it easy with your shoulder! I think the high today was 99-100! I felt like I was still in the sauna! The sun is down now and it's still 89! I need to move north!

Well off to watch my Clint Eastwood movie!

I ran a few errands today .. then tried to take a nap.

Hubby went to the city to get repairs done on his bike. They finally fixed it after he complained for months about an exhaust leak.
