Hard to believe we are closing in on Thanksgiving.

With the holiday approaching we may want to keep exercising to burn off those scrumptious holiday meals! [Big Grin]

So join us and we encourage each other to get up and move.

Whether you are walking, raking leaves, cleaning, fetching eggs from the henhouse or getting eggs at the grocery store, tell about your exercise or just tell us about your day! [woohoo]

Have a great week! [hi]

Watched church online.

Did a load of laundry.

Took recycling to bins at grocery.

Filled the safflower feeder.

Cooked some food to freeze for later this week.

Called mom.

Talked with my BFF.

Did another long search for a beloved bookmark I lost. It was the one my late father used and had a picture of the Grand Canyon on it. We went to the Grand Canyon together. Called public library to see if I left it in a book, but I fear I may have swept it up in papers and recycled it. Sounds silly but losing it makes me sad. [Frown]

Having leftovers for dinner.

Did my balance exercises, feet exercises, and a little shoulder work.

Very toxic again today. I believe my immune system still overreacts to viruses I am exposed to. I had a bit of a runny nose but nothing else about 5 days after eating out with friends. Then I get the heavy legged feeling with a headache and high ear pressure.

Wonder if it will ever normalize.

Drove the 70 minutes to mom and took her to the dentist and then drove back to my house after dropping her off. Beautiful day for a drive.

Am grilling brats for dinner with a salad and some asparagus I need to use up.

Then taking garbage to the curb.

Off to rescue the mail from the mail box and then ice the shoulder and knee before dinner.

Baking day. 31 loaves of bread. Still in the process of baking the whoopie pies.

Did the washing in between the baking. Put it all through the dryer today. Hung up the dresses and shirts.

Washed Sonny's dress pants a second time. We were invited away for lunch on Sunday and the boys played out in the yard all afternoon. Grass and mud stains.

Decided maybe the boys need to take other clothes along on Sunday's for the next time we get an invitation.

The goats are getting fat from eating all the guinea feed that drops under the guinea house. I think I will stop feeding the goats grain for awhile and only give them hay.

Took some cardboard up to the guinea house to cover the wire to make the keets nursery. They can get through the big holes in the wire and the big guineas will chase and peck at the babies if they get in with the big ones.

Will need to work at the keets nursery tomorrow in the daylight.

Supper was leftovers from yesterday.

Manna—do you make more bread for the holidays to sell?

Did my knee exercises and simple shoulder exercises.

Filled the bird feeder.

Went to the public library and 6 books had come in all at once. Got home and now there are three more I need to grab by Sunday. Good thing I love to read! [Big Grin]

So, did a bit of reading this afternoon.

Worked on my Christmas letter which just goes out to relatives and a few people I rarely see. Had to get the printer loaded with more ink to run copies of that and my Xmas poem.

Just got back from the chiropractor so definitely relaxing to let manipulation hold.

Brats again for dinner. Them reading and watching Illini basketball.

No, I don't make extra bread for the holidays. Often I will do less as it seems not to sell as well them. I wonder if people have their own old time family recipes or just too much other food.

Got the keet's pen made a little bigger and gave them the gallon sized waterer. The quart size was emptying too fast since they are growing. Also got out the bigger feeder for them.

Started sewing the little girls dresses this afternoon. All shoulder seams are finished on the bodices and the facings for 13 dresses. Want to get all the facings sewed in tonight and start on the sleeves if I get that far.

The children went directly from work to a church family's house. The youth are filling Thanksgiving baskets to hand out to needy people.

Supper was mashed potatoes & gravy, broccoli, and salmon.

Neighbor stopped in to say his friend has more logs for us. Saturday they will be getting more loads. The boys will be here to help unload the trailer.

Tried ordering zippers online. Wouldn't go through, so I called in and she took my order on the phone. Should be here on Thurs or Fri.

One of the big tom cats wanted to walk right in front of my feet when I went out to close up the barn doors. I called the dog over and the cat decided he didn't need to walk at my feet! Sometimes its nice when the dog wants to chase cats!

He still likes to see them run and will dash at them. Some of them no longer run and he will use his teeth and 'scratch' their backs. The one especially likes it. Sometimes you can see the dog wants the cat to run, but instead its just purring around him!

Sorry I've been out of the loop.

Am feeling better and have been studying.

Bought my early Christmas gift of 2 epinephrine injectors for $279.00. I get 2 free a year but need to have some on hand.

Haven't been eating much in a valiant effort to get my histamine down. So I'm just eating salad with olive oil and salt, eggs, apples, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Also trying to fast about 18 hours a day so have a small window to eat.

I mailed a box to my friend in AK who's not doing well and she really appreciated the Depends, hand lotion, lemons and a handmade card that my Mom made.

Manna I loved the story of your cats vs the dog. Made me smile!

Hiker you're way ahead on the Christmas to do list!

I have to get up early tomorrow for techs to service the HVAC so think I'll do like you Hiker and read a bit.

Night friends!

Day went by so fast. Sun is setting already.

Went grocery shopping this morning. Then went back to the store because I forgot to buy bananas. Glad the store is close.

Did my balance and feet exercises and some shoulder stretches.

Talked to my mom.

Took a fairly long nap.

Am having boneless pork chop for dinner with broccoli and tossed salad.

Then reading. I looked at my library account and 5 more books came in. I already have 8 or 9 at home to read.

Hey gang!

We made our trip to the nearby state today, so we are tired. I came home and took a walk since we had been sitting all day. It felt good!

Now off to watch TV or whatever!

Keep studying, AK!!

Hiker .. you have a lot to read!!

Now that my Bible study is over, I actually began a book last night.

Studied most of the day and now watching a movie.

Ate canned pea soup and salad with olive oil and salt. Also had sunflower seeds and a Japanese red bean confection.

Planning on going to the grocery store tomorrow if it's not raining.

Night friends!

Tutu--What book are you reading?

AK--Way to go on the studying. Keep exercising those eyeballs and the brain!

I had my women's Bible study meeting this morning. Then I worked on next week's study.

Worked on getting some prescriptions filled for my mom. Her pharmacy is terrible but they will mail the prescriptions if they ever get them filled. Already called twice today and will have to call again once filled to get them mailed. Their ap and website is pretty bad, too.

Went to physical therapy to for first session on my knee. She wants me to keep doing my current exercises and added two more.

Leftovers for dinner and then more reading!

I took a break from studying today.

Went to the grocery store twice and picked up things for Thanksgiving dinner. I've decided to make most things from scratch to control the ingredients to minimize reactions.

I think I'm making the turkey my friend has and hoping to pick it up tomorrow.

So I'll brine and roast the turkey in an oven roasting bag and make gravy. Bought Yukon gold potatoes to mash, sweet potatoes for a gluten free casserole, fresh green beans for a casserole and this year I'm going to make fresh cranberry sauce like Hiker.

Have frozen yeast rolls too and Josh is making mac and cheese and my friend ordered apple and pecan pies and some cakes.

Today I actually worked outside and trimmed the box woods in the front of the house, dumped out 3 dead potted plants and rinsed out the pots, swept the porch and reversed the chair covers and pruned the hydrangea down.

I'm exhausted and laying on the couch and watching TV.

See everyone tomorrow!

Baking day.

Did most of the laundry, put it in the dryer. It all needs to be folded yet.

Took my food handler's test online and passed.

Was getting rather dark till I went out to do chores tonight. As I was coming back from feeding the guineas, I heard the leaves rustling on the mountainside. The goats were already penned up.... what was out there??

More rustling leaves.... was it coming closer or going away? Wishing I'd brought a flashlight! No lights behind the barn. I hurried around to the front of the barn. More rustling, then it stopped and I saw something coming into the yard.... A Cat! One of the nice tame cats. Silly boy! Scaring me like that!

Son made subs for supper. Yummy! Hadn't had one for a long time.

Back to my sewing tomorrow. The zippers & thread came that I ordered on Tuesday.

Manna—too funny about the cat.

Spent an hour this morning doing my knee and feet exercises and range of motion for my shoulder.

Made a meatloaf and froze most of it.

Washed my sheets and remade the bed. Added a wool blanket. Then took a nap.

Called mom.

Then her neighbor called me to say mom can receive calls but not make outgoing calls. The maintenance man for the retirement center was not available. Always something with mom and her phone.

Just having salad, fruit, and maybe toast with peanut butter for dinner.

Then watching a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Have a great evening. [Smile]

Manna you had me on the edge of my seat wondering was was sneaking up on you! Thank goodness it was a cat! Congratulations on passing your test!

Hiker hope they fix your Mom's phone. I watched one of the DC comics movie called Black Adam. It's based on superheroes. Easy watching!

I studied for about 6 hours today and fried my brain. I'm on the last chapter of my final class.

Eating weirdly and not until 4:00 to do some intermittent fasting. Had radish greens with olive oil and salt, 3 radishes and 2 boiled eggs. Couple hours later had an apple and plain oatmeal with stevia and sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Another couple of hours had a few cashews and a red bean confectionary again.

I don't know what happened but boy did I have tummy trouble after that! Had to keep running to the bathroom and had tummy pain. Sheesh!

My friend is coming by tomorrow to drop off the turkey and I'm cooking dinner for Josh unless he's sick. He said a couple days ago that he was catching some kind of bug. He always gets sick during the holidays!

Hoping to feel better myself!

Night friends!

I have been trying to go on walks every day.

Decided not to go away for Thanksgiving as my grumpy gut (IBS) is acting up. I will have lots of Zoom calls with my kids and grand kids.

I have all the fixings for a good meal, so will have fun putting that together.

Also had somehow injured my rt. shoulder. Orthopedist x-rayed it The
shoulder joint is okay, just pulled something. She gave me a cortisone shot and it feels great today!

On Thurs. evening I went to the dress rehearsal of our High School Theatre groups proction. Seniors are invited free. It was
" The Play That Went Wrong" and was hilarious. Felt good to laugh a lot.

Still doing my daily exercises and stretching, plus going up and down stairs a lot.

Also being sure to get up and move around every 1/2 hour or so.
Time to move!

Ann-Ohio—The play you attended sounds great. Glad the cortisone shot helped. Those shots make me feel toxic. My shoulder is still bothering me.

Woke up and realized heat wasn’t running. Brr. Took the thermostat off the wall and cleaned it and changed the batteries and heat turned right on. Not sure why low battery indicator didn’t flash. But even though it is a programmable thermostat it is pretty old.

I did a load of laundry this morning.

Did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Filled the bird feeder.

Took recycling to the bins in the grocery store lot.

Watched my weekly Beth Moore Christian video.

Tried calling mom. Now her phones won’t even receive calls. I am sure she is very frustrated. Hope the retirement center helped her call ATT to come look at the phone line. She has 3 phones and all three can’t be bad. Wish she had learned how to use a cell phone but at age 96 that won’t happen.

This afternoon I made decaf coffee and sat in the recliner to read.

Am currently watching Illini bs. Iowa football.

Dinner is meatloaf plus a salad and yellow squash.

Time to go ice the knee and the shoulder again.

Ann-O sounds like you're having a great week with all the moving around and getting things done!

Hiker close call on the heater! Hope they get your Mom's phone up and running.

Been a bit busy today. Took a shower in the morning and cleaned the bathroom. Did a load of laundry. Trimmed the ends off the green beans and blanched and froze them for green bean casserole on Thanksgiving.

Ate a bagel and cream cheese and then cubed up some pork and marinated it in red wine, soy sauce, a bit of tomato paste, garlic, ginger and a dash of sesame oil. While that was cooking away made some brown rice in the rice cooker.

Added two frozen bags of stir-fried veggies and continued cooking until done.

Took my Thanksgiving linens out of the shed along with a fall center piece. Ironed the linens and have the table ready for T day.

Josh came by for dinner and my friend was a no show. I finally texted her at almost 6:00 p.m. and she replied that she was sore and tired. I was a bit miffed because I waited all day for her...sigh...

Anyways Thanksgiving dinner is going to be at my house instead of Josh's because he's a bit sickly. So tomorrow I'm going to dust and vacuum and get some studying in.

It's late and I'm so ready for bed! Night friends!
