We're off to a new week. Come join us as we move about!
I did 3 loads of laundry today. Emptied my underwear drawer of raggedy wear, too.
Had grandeurs of a walk, but never got around to it.
Need to call orthopedic office tomorrow. They told me they will use Kefta I.V. and I told the nurse I am allergic to ceftin antibiotics. She insisted it was in the penicillin class. It is a cephalosporin.
Tomorrow, she will get an earful and I will also called the preop nurse to make sure I am not given a ceftin. Grr.
Just want the surgery to be over with.
Lp--How are you doing?
Everyone have a great week!

Thanks for getting us up and running Hiker! You and I are on the same wavelength again because I did 3 loads of laundry today also. Can't believe the antibiotic fiasco! They need to get their act together! Have you already completed your pre-op?
Trouble sleeping so got up early, showered and tackled vacuuming, putting dishes away, did dreaded laundry and made potato salad out of leftover red roasted potatoes.
Ran a couple errands and dropped off a small casserole dish to Josh that my Mom bought at the flea market. He bought new glass containers to take his lunch to work but it cracked in half in the microwave. So we found a good sturdy old one that should work fine.
I'm pooped and already in my jammies. Big plans tonight to read in bed!
Night all!

Today our other goat had her kid - a boy!
It's fun to go out to the barn with all the new babies. Baby goats have such soft silky coats.
We have the calves out in the meadow in a temporary shelter. Will need to build a more permanent one this week. We had the goats and calves in the same pen.
But the baby kids are so tiny and the calves so big, its not safe to have them all together.
Building will be our exercise this week! Also hoping to get the garden ready to plant peas and early things like lettuce & spinach.

Hiker .. Just make sure they don't decide on Levaquin, Cipro or one of their horrible cousins.
AK .. Sounds like your musical journey was fun!
I went to the show last night.
Manna .. more babies! What could be better!?

Manna--sounds like you could open a petting zoo!
Nurse at surgeon's office still pretty clueless. I called the surgicenter and they were all over the fact that I am allergic to cephalosporins.
I will never take Cipro or Levaquin or a relative. I offered my own suggestions.
Went for one more grocery run. Wanted some rice chex and gluten free crackers for when I take meds. Comfort food.
Went to Walmart. Bought one pillow. Wanted another one that was soft like this with a hole in it for sleeping in the recliner, but they only had one.
Took my car to the dealer for oil change and tire rotation. Get home and in my mailbox is $25 coupon. Called them and they would not accept it. Grr. I did have a $10 coupon but more is better. LOL
Warm here today in the 70's. Will cool down by end of week, but loving it now!
So ready to get this surgery over with. Am a nervous wreck.

All I've done today is run to the realtor's office. Been lounging around most of the day!
What could be cuter than baby animals Manna? Sounds like a little piece of heaven where you're at!
A show sounds like so much fun TuTu! How's the hip?
Oh Hiker! Sending you a big hug! I'll be praying for you tomorrow and Wednesday! Everything will be just fine.
Hang in there gang!

Did odds and ends around the house.
Got my hair trimmed really short.
Guess what? Bird feeders needed filling again.
Such a delightful day here. I went for a 30 minute walk. Probably last walk for awhile.
Once a month cleaning lady is coming soon. So, when she gets her I will head to the library. Otherwise she talks up a storm and it takes forever to finish.
If I don't post for a few days, I will try to text and keep you updated on surgery and rehab. Thank you for your prayers for my shoulder!

AK .. Hope it continues to go ok at the realty office!
My hip is so-so. It got better after I started the glucosamine, but I also STOPPED going up the flight of stairs to Bible study.
I was putting 95% of my weight on my good leg, but it wasn't happy either.
Hiker .. Many prayers. I hope it all goes very very well.
I finished the taxes on Monday and she brought the paperwork today! We are getting a refund for the first time in years.
BUT.. We were paying estimated taxes all year and so we therefore paid too much. I'm happy! I think we got about 2/3 of it back. I didn't really calculate it.
Every year has been very different from the previous year, so it's very hard to know how it will turn out.
Hubby's income changes according to which show or shows he will be doing. Then of course, his dad passed away and there was money from that.

Actually got out in the yard today and picked up sticks and limbs for a couple of hours. It was a beautiful day here and got up to the mid eighties!
Nice to get a refund TuTu! I'm still struggling also with my back, SI and neck but at home therapy is helping since my therapist unlocked everything. I have problems with stairs too. Hope you feel better!
Thinking of Hiker today!

Oh no Hiker! I'm sorry for all the pain that your having! Take those pain meds! They had to explain to me that I wasn't helping myself when I didn't take them as prescribed. I didn't like the way they made me feel. Does your sling have the pillow attachment? It sure needs to fit properly.
Today was errand day for me. Wrote a couple of thank you cards for my real estate agent and his secretary and included a little lunch money in both.
Also bought a cute plant as a housewarming gift for my neighbors who are buying my old place.
The closing is tomorrow and I'll let you all know as soon as I come home how it turns out.
I'm a wee bit nervous. Am picking up the ex from work and driving us there so no chance for shenanigans, I hope.
See you all on the flipside!
