Way to go, nlif!! I swim like a rock.

Ran several errands and renewed my yearly membership at the our senior citizen's center. $30 per year and I can use their gym equipment, walk, play dominoes etc.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Went to one chiropractor for an adjustment. On the way there a car ran a red light and I was able to swerve to avoid a collision.

Went to a different chiropractor to get some supplements. Almost hit a school bus that was turning onto the small street.

Happy to be home alive and think I am home for the day. [Eek!]

Thanks Hiker for getting us started this week! Wow! Driving is getting more and more risky! We saw someone run a red light today too and barely missed hitting another car. I keep my fingers of one hand on the horn when I'm in traffic and will lay on it when some idiots aren't paying attention. Sheesh! BTW, that's a fantastic deal at the senior center!

NLIF welcome, welcome! 20 minutes in the pool sounds so awesome! I love to swim but have a jacked up shoulder that makes it kinda difficult.

Today was a home PT and arm routine day followed with a great sweat inducing Zumba class. I just love the dancing around and laughing at my 2 left feet! I'm sure others in the class think I'm odd but I just can't help myself! Beats the treadmill hands down and I'm still so amazed to be able to work out at all after Lyme and other ongoing medical issues.

We rock!!!

[woohoo]

Went swimming again today. Beautiful day here in SW Florida. I have been having some shoulder pain as well and today could only float around some and swim a little bit underwater.

The water felt great though, as well as the sun. There are times with this illness that i absolutely cannot stand the sunlight, or any light at all, but today it was invigorating and felt great.

Maybe the Antabuse I am taking is working. [Smile]

At home PT then headed to the Y for 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill, 15 minutes in the sauna followed by a quick shower then home.

Started fasting yesterday and drinking teas, organic chicken broth, coconut water and have one organic apple in the evening. Have blood work this Friday and trying to get my cholesterol, LDL and weight down.

So will keep this up til the following Friday when I see my GP.

NLIF way to go on the swimming! I didn't realize Antabuse is used for Lyme treatment until I googled it. Very interesting stuff! I haven't been in treatment since 2007 so am behind in current protocols.

See everyone tomorrow!

Went to physical therapy this morning. Stimuli of noise and so many people was bothering me, but I made it through. Sore, though.

Went to Kroger for organic meat and nuts.

Bible study leader stopped by this afternoon to pick up some books and chat. She deals with chronic leukemia, so she can relate to not feeling great.

Lone Wolf, Antabuse seems to be all the rage in the Lyme world right now.

I have been sick for 17 years and started on it about a month ago. No drug I have ever taken seems to be as effective as this drug has been, based on my herxes and how I feel after the herxes settle down. I am doing things I could not have done months ago, and my brain feels so much clearer. I am not cured by any means, but I am beginning to almost remember what it feels like to be well, and it has been a very long time since I felt that way.

There is a long thread on the Medical Forum on Antabuse, you might want to look at it as there is a lot of information there. And especially read the article in this link below, it is what got me taking this drug.

NLIF--I just read the link on Antabuse and it sounds very promising. Glad it is helping you.

I assume you need a MD to prescribe it.

Yes, a prescription is needed, Hiker.

Lots of LLMD's seem to be prescribing it now, though. I listened to a podcast by Dr. H (NY), and I believe he said he has over 100 patients on it presently.

Did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Used that shoulder to try and buff out a scratch in my car. Didn’t work. Didn’t have the strength or endurance to wax whole car but that one area shines. 🤣

Went to library.

Sat on deck for awhile to soak in some Vitamin D.

Still not feeling well. Wonder if Lyme has rebounded.

Am taking time off from energy healing. I don’t feel that it is making much of a difference and it is expensive.

Am tempted to find LLMD. Closest is probably Chicago and I don’t want to get back on the treatment merry go round. Think I need more time to recovery from surgery before I attempt anything major. Physical therapist, neighbor nurse, and friend who is personal trainer all say it can take a year to recover stamina after this type of surgery. Sigh.

Home PT and arm routine then danced around like crazy at my Zumba class. Couple of errands then spent almost 3 hours with my Mom at her doctor's appointment. Whew!

So finally am chilling!

Hiker I sure hope Lyme isn't rearing its ugly head! As to starting treatment I'd wait until the shoulder is completely healed. My second shoulder surgery and my diagnosis and treatment for Lyme were about a year and a few months apart. Since my second surgery was a failure Lyme treatment intensified my shoulder pain.

TuTu hang in there!

NLIF that Antabuse sounds very promising! Thanks for the link!

See everyone tomorrow!

Ak--That's a long MD appointment for your mom.

Did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Went to Bible study. Such a great group of women and I always learn so much.

Grocery shopping this afternoon. That is one chore I absolutely hate to do and nothing fun jumped into my cart today. [loco]

Washed sheets and put back on bed. Remaking the bed with my shoulder issues was just as hard as a pt session. [Wink]

Am off to read. Have a great evening.

Home PT then off to the Y. Walked 25 minutes and jogged for five on the treadmill then 15 minutes in the sauna and a quick shower. Errands and helping a friend with car issues again.

Very little study time. [Frown]

Hiker I know what you mean about nothing exciting happening at the grocery store! Glad you're enjoying your Bible study!

Off to Google hotels near the Forbidden City.

Later gators!

Happy googling, AK!!

Which Bible study are you doing, hiker?
We are going to start "Not Forsaken" by Louie Giglio at church.

We are still doing the Book of Signs by Dr David Jeremiah at the condos. It is fantabulous!!!!

Tutu--Am doing precepts study of Joshua. Both your studies sound good.

Went to PT this morning. Raised weights and changed color of bands on some exercises and added reps to another. I am counting the days until I am done, but balance therapy starts October 14.

Stopped at library on way home to get book on hold. Got home and received a notice that another one is there on hold. Will get it another day.

At any time I may have more than 10 books on hold and hope they don't all come in at once. [Big Grin]

Went to church for some "God" time, but AC wasn't on, so I didn't stay too long. Got my key stuck in the door and was lucky another parishioner came along and helped me get it out.

Took a short nap.

Going to have a lazy evening.

Home PT and my usual arm routine followed by me and Mom hitting the wellness center for more exercise. So 30 minutes of Zumba for me and the NuStep for Mom.

My friend's car had another coil replaced all for a little over $100! She had a headlight bulb out so I changed that and the bulb was only $4.84. My brother gave me a discount on both so it helped her tremendously. She's a single divorced Mom with a daughter and grandson and they live together. She told me she only had $200 so we were both praying like crazy! Thank you God!

TuTu am glad that you're enjoying your Bible studies! Me and Mom went to a Christian bookstore that is going out of business and we bought some cards and ribbons. The price was still a bit high for me so will wait until they go down.

Hiker way to go on increasing reps and weight! Yay! If I wasn't studying I'd be reading too! It's one of my favorite past times! I'm meeting my friend this evening to swap our vehicles and outside of that I'm planning on relaxing.

So that's it for me! See everyone tomorrow!

Another sunny day here in SW Florida, so I went to the pool again. The sun felt great, but the problem I am having with my shoulder is a pulled muscle I believe (not Lyme related I am almost sure of that), and today it was pretty sore, so I just floated around some and did some easy swimming underwater that did not hurt.

Last night I walked all the way around the perimeter road of my apartment complex, which is exactly 1 mile. A few months ago I would have been collapsed in the road not far from my apartment and probably been run over by a car or something if I tried to do that.

I don't want to jinx myself but this Antabuse might be doing something good. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope everyone else is doing well, tomorrow is Saturday and I am hoping for a sunny day again.

NLIF--Hope that shoulder is on the mend. Do you like to watch sports? Keep us posted on the Antabuse!

AK--Way to keep up the exercise (and keep studying, too)

Did my shoulder rehab exercises this morning.

One load of laundry.

Make a big pot of spaghetti sauce. First time I have been able to lift the pot since shoulder surgery.

Short nap this afternoon.

Rainy here today, so will be a good evening to watch Illini vs. Nebraska football.

Hit the Y this morning and did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes in the sauna. Quick shower then headed home for 2 1/2 hours of yard work then another shower.

Josh took me out for dinner for helping with his dog Ada a couple of days. Stayed and watched 2 movies then home and chilling.

NLIF way to go on the swimming and walking! Sure hope the Antabuse will help you in your continuing recovery. Hang in there!

Hiker thanks for the encouragement! Kinda blew it today going out to dinner but will get right back on the wagon. Increased the speed on the treadmill today in anticipation. Spaghetti sounds great and happy to hear you can lift that pot!

TuTu you heading to the doc for your shoulder and getting that MRI right? Please keep us posted! My friend reminds me so much of my sister! We were all friends in high school and she used to live right next door. I'm happy to lend a hand and have been in her shoes and know what it's like to not have much help.

Well, it's almost 2:00 a.m. so off to get some shut eye.

[sleepy]
