Here we go with another week of shaking and baking, moving and grooving or anything that gets you active!

Are you gardening, sewing, doing housework, camping, walking, weight training, swimming, etc.?

We like to post about it here on this friendly thread to encourage each other to be active and enjoy our lives.

On your mark, get set, go!!!

Did my shoulder exercises.

Ran a load of laundry.

Cool and rainy here. Great afternoon to curl up on the couch.

Have a great week! [Cool]

Did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Drove the hour to my folks and took dad to the see the surgeon about his ear cancer. Surgeon said he would lose his entire ear and she did not recommend it for a man aged 96.

Next step is to the oncology radiologist in a few weeks.

Am staying for dinner here at the retirement home and then driving back to my house before dark.

Hope everyone is OK.

Did my at home PT and arm routine then Mom and I headed to the wellness center. Did my usual Zumba class for about 30 minutes and Mom did 27 minutes on the NuStep plus 2 laps around the gym.

We ran a couple of errands afterwards.

I started studying for my continuing education requirements to renew my insurance license. I've got 5 online classes and just finished studying one today.

Hiker is radiation therapy an option for your Dad? Will he have to do chemo too? My Mom sees an interventional radiologist at Emory in ATL. He's young but we just love him! Hope and pray that your Dad has someone just as wonderful.

TuTu hope you didn't have to drive to far to get to the dentist! I stress out a bit when I have to go. Probably residual PTSD from dental treatment by a military dentist when I was young. Sure hope your appointment went well!

Off to try and find something to watch on TV!

Had a chiropractor appointment today. My hip was a mess. Dr. told me to stay out of the flowerbeds for the rest of the year! I think it was said only half jokingly.......

I will let the boys dig the rest of the potatoes and do any other digging. I had been digging out some shrubby trees that were growing under the pine tree. So my hip doesn't like ground shovels.

Did a few loads of laundry. Picked up 4 baskets of apples, a mixture of gala & honey crisp, cortland & macintosh.

Home PT then hit the Y for 20 minutes of walking and 10 of slow jogging on the treadmill. Little over 15 minutes in the sauna then headed home.

Going to see the second half of the movie IT tonight with Josh. Hope it's not too scary! We'll probably do Del Taco afterwards and I'll get my usual couple of tacos and a tostada without cheese.

Manna hope your hip gets better! My left one isn't happy with all the exercise lately. [Roll Eyes] What are you going to do with all the apples? I made a pear crisp Sunday with some store bought pears that never ripened. Had to cook them to soften them up.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Sonny was asking for apples to eat. Now he can eat apples till his heart is content!

I want to dry some and will make some applesauce to can. We like apple crisp - gluten free - using oatmeal instead of flour.

I should steam some and make some apple mint jelly again. That was delicious!! I took peppermint tea leaves and blendered them to add to the apple juice. No food color. It wasn't very green, but it had really good flavor.

Its warm here again - my laundry is outside flapping on the lines and I'm about to go after the spiderwebs in the family room!

I really would like to go out to the flowerbeds, but I'll be good and stay out of them.

Went to PT this morning. Had a bad bout of myoclonus during the last set of exercises. Almost fell off the table and dropped the weight.

Scared the therapist so much he told me if I needed to rest and not do exercises tomorrow that was fine.

I rested this afternoon and worked on Bible study.

Cleaning lady came. Made her vacuum under the couch cushions. Think she has been neglecting that. LOL She really is good, though.

Went to chiropractor and am not drinking loads of water and resting for tonight. She said I had a lot more to adjust than usual.

I did my usual shoulder exercises this morning.

Ran a few errands including going to the library and then gassed up the car.

My friend Ruth came over for several hours and brought me a cute little succulent plant for my birthday.

A former teacher that I had back in junior high sent me a card and donated a tree to be planted in a national forest for me. We have a really neat relationship and that was a really cool gift.

So I’ve had a relaxing nice birthday and I’m just going to take it easy tonight.

Manna .. take care of that hip or it will make your life miserable and limited!

AK .. How was the movie? We drive two hours to see our internationally known dentist. His office used to be less than a mile from where we now live.

He's been my dentist for 23 years.

Hiker .. Happy birthday!! So sweet of your friend to plant a tree in your honor! That was a very cool gift!

We are still waiting on them to clean our AC ducts to get rid of the mold. They will come on Friday. Still talking to lawyers and deciding how to proceed.

Got up early and did my shoulder exercises.

My women's Bible study group started this morning. We are studying Joshua. Several new people there. I love going to this group every week.

Went grocery shopping. Forgot to get peppers to make spaghetti sauce but don't feel like going back today.

Having a birthday wore me out yesterday!

Will rest this afternoon and probably watch Democratic debate tonight.

Can't believe I forgot yet again to post yesterday! The movie was more scary than I thought it was going to be. I recovered fairly well though! [Big Grin]

Went to the wellness center with Mom yesterday and had a bunch of errands.

Today was home PT and and my usual stuff at the Y. Then home to study most of the day and just finished at 10:50 tonight. Struggling through a little 4 hour credit class on annuities! It's kicking my butt!

Manna glad to hear that you're behaving and staying out of the flower beds! Yay for Sonny being able to nosh on some apples. Do you use a dehydrator to dry your fruits? I've never tried one...yet.

Hiker first off, happy birthday! So nice to hear that your friends made your day special! Also hope you recovered from the bout of myoclonus. Sounds very scary!

TuTu your dentist must be awesome to drive 2 hours for! Course I'd do the same. Will be praying that everything works out with the cleanup of the mold and going to the attorney.

Well guys...I'm totally burned out and am heading for bed. Night all!

[hi]

Ak--Good for you for keeping up your insurance credits!

Tutu--Hope duct cleaning went well and the mold is all gone.

Went to PT this morning. Upped the weights on the machines again. I was nervous getting on the table to do my weight "punches" after I had myoclonus the last time.

Did them and then asked to sit up to be stretched out. This particular table is uncomfortable and feels unsteady but that may just be my fear.

Vacuumed the car this afternoon.

Need to work on buffing out scratch in car, but need to wash car first and way too windy today for that.

Cleaned out one of my thistle feeders and refilled it.

Home PT and arm routine then headed to the wellness center with Mom. Only lasted 30 minutes at Zumba and became incredibly hungry and I believe my blood sugar dropped a bit. I'm eating to many carbs and wacking out my blood sugar. Ugh!

Went to eat lunch then came home and puttered around until time to get ready to head to the library for the opening of a newspaper exhibit and lecture with hors d'oeuvres of the tragedy of Apartheid. The evening was a rare insight into the struggle of racism in south Africa and the outcome.

Then afterwards headed downtown for another Friday night free outdoor concert. Jazz tunes filtered through the still hot air serenading the Micromoon. Awesome!

Hiker I'm glad that you were OK at therapy today. I need to get some rubbing compound for my car and my Mom's. Both have oxidation and scratches. Might be something I do in the spring. Oh...and thanks for the encouragement in regards to my continuing ed credits! I've got 5 online classes and tests to complete this year! Ugh!

Well off to watch TV then zone out! Night all!

Good job on the classes, AK! I'm sure it's not easy. My husband used to sell insurance back in the 90's.

Hiker .. washing the car is way too much work. I used to love it though. Not able now.

The house smells much better after the duct cleaning. I hope each day gets better. Our contractor will finish closing the closet up on Monday and then my NEW housekeeper will come to clean.

I don't think we are completely out of the woods, since we probably have mycotoxins everywhere, but I am more hopeful now.

Just found out that my cousin in Texas is dealing with mold in her pantry. It's pretty bad and now she's getting sick. She doesn't have much money, so I hope she can get some help.

Tomorrow is our area-wide Operation Christmas Child event and we will have speaker who has received a shoe box as a child. It's always a blessing to hear their testimony.

Busy morning.

Did shoulder exercises.

Did one load of laundry.

Made and froze meatloaf.

Dragged hoses around yard and watered perennials.

Friend came over and helped trim 2 trees. She trimmed and I dragged branches to front to be picked up Tuesday. We sat and yakked and didn’t get the bushes trimmed or weeding done but she had a university volleyball alumni lunch so couldn’t stay long.

So good to see her. She lives an hour away and is a personal trainer/director of a wellness center.

This was all before noon. Am totally exhausted.

Watching Illini football and they are not looking good.

Plan to read and watch movie tonight.

Did my home PT then off to the Y for 30 minutes of treadmill time. 15 minutes in the sauna and headed home.

Spent most of the afternoon and early evening trying to find my ex a car. Taking him to ATL in the morning to look at several I've found on the internet.

So yes, he totalled the truck he bought after the accident he caused with me in the vehicle. 2 totalled vehicles in a little over 6 months. 3 accidents for the year.

Trying to help so I won't get stuck with a joint credit card that he ran up over the limit. I have to call every stinking month to remind him to pay it.

Very, very frustrating! Have to get back to work in January so I can just pay the darn bill and not have to deal with him. I'm sure he won't be able to pay it soon because his car insurance is going to skyrocket!

Small potatoes though compared to that mortgage. [Big Grin]

TuTu I bet your hubby doesn't miss that job! Glad the mold issue is a thing of the past and hope the new housekeeper works out for you.

Hiker you've been super busy! I don't blame you a bit for taking easy!

Well...off to count sheep!

[sleepy]
