We invite you to join our thread to tell us all about your exercise this week.
Are you walking, shoveling, painting, sewing? Perhaps you are dancing Zumba, vacuuming, doing laundry? Everything counts!
Have a great week of movement!

I was running late for church and by the time I was heading out the door freezing rain had started. Decided not to deal with that and got back in my comfy clothes.
I did a load of laundry and a little bit of cooking.
Typically I rest my body from most exercise on Sundays.
AK--Are you still a carrot top?
Manna--the small flannel blankets sound wonderful. Last year when I had shoulder surgery and slept in the recliner my friend brought her kid's old flannel blankets for me to use. Perfect weight and size so I wouldn't trip if I got up in the middle of the night.
Time to go ice the shoulders and read.

AK .. how's the hair? PS... the computer smells better now. I have a new air purifier and I've had it running very near it. Whew! I also put a bamboo charcoal thing next to it.
Had church this morning. Taught Sunday School. We made Valentine's last Sunday and this Sunday. We made enough to give one to each couple or individual who came out of the first service.
They were a big hit. How often do adults receive Valentines these days?
I did a bit of shopping today. Kohl's had their washcloths on sale, so I bought some for OCC with my Kohl's cash. Whoop! I also found a cute animal print jacket that was originally priced at $55, for only $10! Score! It isn't fancy, but it's warm and cozy.
So that was my exercise for the day! I actually went to three stores and was home in about 35 minutes.
Came home and took a good nap.
My knees are better, but still not very good.
Hiker .. the prayers continue!
Manna... I'm really getting the urge to sew again. I don't know if my body will allow me to....but maybe. I'd love to make things for OCC.
I would first have to move all my jewelry-making stuff out of here. It's sad that my business is ending due to lack of supplies.
I have so many supplies that I need to sell or give away .. That sounds confusing, but I need certain items that are no longer available in order to complete my angels.

Hi! Carrot top here, checking in! Thanks Hiker for starting us off this week. I did laundry today and a quite a bit of cooking also.
Took me over an hour to clean organic spinach I bought at Sam's. It has some kind of grass mixed in that's bitter and rots quickly and makes the spinach go bad. I usually don't buy any because of that but I was there to pick up a few things so forgot how time consuming that can be.
Steamed some broccoli and cauliflower and made a cheese sauce for it. Also grated the broccoli stems and sauteed those for Josh. Sauteed mushrooms and onions to go on the sirloin burgers I baked.
Also cooked an Asian pear and apple on the stove and put those in individual ramekins and topped them with coconut flour, pecans, and butter. Baked in the oven after the burgers and veggies were done.
So I'm exhausted from all the cooking I did. Don't like to waste anything, especially fresh fruits and veggies.
TuTu I have one of those charcoal thingies too! It's in my second hand round, white, 60's suitcase. Love the suitcase but it has an old smell too it. I don't know how you went to 3 stores in 35 minutes! Your jacket find sounds awesome.
Anyways...off to read for awhile. See you guys tomorrow!

I did my balance exercises this morning.
The surgeons office called and said they could get me into an MRI this afternoon. So I took some Valium so my muscles would not have any tics and a friend took me. Done! See surgeon Thursday afternoon for follow up.
Then I came home and took a snooze.

Worked this morning. Quilted this afternoon - had 2 friends helping, so nice to visit while stitching.
Hubby is complaining of muscle pain. It rained all day AND its full moon... I think its supposed to rain again tomorrow and then the sun returns on Wed.

Not enough SI joint exercises and just vegged today. Did manage to go to the finale of the singer/songwriter competition tonight and had a wonderful time.
Been having some fatigue lately and hoping it's temporary. Also was a little down today and I don't know what triggered it. I'm usually never depressed but am glad I went out this evening.
TuTu that explains a lot!
Hiker glad the Valium worked and keeping fingers and toes crossed about the results from the MRI.
Manna the quilting sounds relaxing! Maybe the full moon is affecting me too.
Well....almost 3:00 a.m. so off to bed!

AK .. Foods that are high in salicylates make me depressed. You had a long list of foods that are high. Might want to look into that.
I hope your SI pain goes away soon. The full moon and weather did a number on me too, Manna. Ouch!

The orthopedic surgeons office emailed me my MRI results this morning at my request. I do not have any rotator cuff tears or a tear in the biceps tendons.
I have a lot of other issues with the shoulder causing the pain but surgery will be avoided! Praise the Lord!
I follow up with the orthopedic surgeon on Thursday for a plan of action to reduce inflammation in the pain I’m having.
I ran several errands today. We have a local shop that is a fair trade shop and I always buy coffee there. They have so many cute items from jewelry to scarves to nativity sets.
I went for a walk outside for about 25 minutes. Still using my trekking poles outside for those kinds of walks but that’s OK.
Finally I’m getting birds at my feeder. I had some downy woodpeckers today. My crab apple has small berry like apples and there were actually robins in the tree and Cedar waxwings and a red finch. Unfortunately there are a lot of starlings as well.
Snow is going to move in tomorrow with high winds and then temperature dropping way below zero. So I better get up early and get my grocery shopping done tomorrow morning.
Time for the icing shoulders and reading.

I love birds!! I especially love Downys and Cedar waxwings. I remember seeing 30-40 of them lined up on power lines when we lived in New Braunfels, TX.
PS .. I LOVE crab apples, but haven't had one in about 50 years. I doubt my body could handle it anyway!!
We got snow last night but it was too warm to stick.
I went to the store and bought a few needed items. Came home and made chili. Hope my body accepts it!!

Just my SI joint exercises today. Yesterday I was sick as a dog after eating quinoa. I had nausea, vomiting and severe stomach cramps! Hit me within 30 minutes of eating and lasted about 8 hours. Missed the lecture at the library that I was going to attend but am so glad I feel better today. Stomach is sore but am able to eat a bit.
Me and Mom are going to the theater to see Cats! I'm so excited! Our first time this year and what a way to start off the 2020 theater season!
TuTu thanks for the tips on diet. You know half the time I don't eat anything except organic broths, juices and tea and the rest of the time I'm pretty bad but try to stay away from wheat and sugars. No seafood and I limit dairy and nuts. One thing I don't stay away from is CHILI! I love it! Can you mail be a batch of yours ASAP?
Hiker thank God you don't have to have a second surgery. I was sweating right along with you on that one! What are you going to do to celebrate the wonderful news? Dinner or shopping? Or maybe even a bit of both? I'm so, so happy for you!
Anyways....time to make a hot cup of tea and check out my dress pattern.
Later gang!

Busy day so far.
I went to the grocery store this morning which depleted the wallet.
Stopped by the ATM which is a block from the library so I grabbed a book there.
I went for a 25 minute walk outside. The moment I stepped back inside it began to snow.
I did my balance exercises and now I am tuckered out.
The snow is pretty, but I am getting tired of winter. Bone chilling temps and high winds tomorrow.
AK--Glad you are feeling better. Enjoy Cats.
Tutu--Chili sounds delicious.

We got quite a bit of snow last night and Brett came and shoveled at 5 AM and then I put down a lot of deicer. Very slick outside and very windy. Way below zero tonight with windchill’s down to 20 below. No exercises today. Just trying to stay warm. Area schools are all closed today and they may be again tomorrow.
Deb and Charlie took me to my orthopedic appointment so that I didn’t blow away in the wind. 🤣 Plus their SUV does better on snow than my Civic. Area schools were all closed today and they may be again tomorrow.
The doctor said to take one more week off of exercising my shoulder and then he is sending me back to physical therapy for four weeks.
I am so tired of going to physical therapy. I have been going to that clinic for over a full year except for a two week break after balance therapy.
No exercises today. Just trying to stay warm.

Hiker .. be sure to get a different therapist this time!! Hope it warms up soon over there.
It will be in the teens tonight and then 40's tomorrow. Warmer for a few days and then cold again.
Well .. the chili was OK but I stayed awake until 2-3 a.m. That is one thing that happens when I eat anything with spices.
All I do is add one pound of hamburger meat to one can of Wolf Brand Chili. Yummy...throw that over some Frito's and you are done!
AK .. So glad you are feeling better. I can't eat quinoa either. I used to be able to.
We were inside all day yesterday, so I ventured out to the store this afternoon. I get cabin fever pretty quickly!

More SI joint exercises and made brunch and ran some errands.
Today was Josh's birthday so picked up a small black forest cake and organic chocolate ice cream. We ate dinner at his favorite Mexican restaurant and had cake and gifts later. I gave Josh 2 scented liquid hand soaps, 2 keto cookbooks and cash. Mom got him a nice belt and paid for dinner. We all had a great time!
Hiker sure hope your shoulder doesn't still hurt when you start therapy and like TuTu says, switch therapist!
TuTu I've never had chili over Fritos but it sounds delicious! I've been craving chili and grilled cheese sandwiches lately and only give in if I'm at a Waffle House.
Well I might try to read some but my eyes are already drooping! Night all!

Just a laundry day for me.
Hiker, Cats was spectacular! The singing and dancing was like nothing I've experienced before. So blessed to have shared it with my Mom! Way to go on all the exercise! Yes....we did have chocolate ice cream so now I need to exercise too!
TuTu now I really want some chili! I've got some organic blue corn tortilla chips and might just buy some Wendy's chili and give it a try. I've always used crackers before but now I want to try corn chips!
Night all!
