Here is a performance I found wonderful. The link was posted on my friend's facebook page. These Italian H.S. kids are singing together from their homes in English with no accompaniment!
There are lots of this sort of performance going on all over the world. My local HS kids all went out in their yards and played their band instruments and sang - as did choir kids. I don't think they recorded it, but that isn't the point. They felt together.
There are all sorts of good ideas to make this dreadful time have a little joy. I hope you find something joyful to share.
Stay safe!

Our neighbor hood is putting different construction paper shapes in our home windows, so as kids go on walks with their parents they can look for them and count them.
This week was hearts and next week is flowers.
One child decorated her front window with lots of big hearts with messages to first responders, health care workers, postal carriers, garbage men etc.

Several years ago here, we had a running story about animals and ticks going to the Olympics, I think in Vancouver?
So I decided to try the idea in my Nextdoor neighborhood chat site - don't know how broad this org is, but SF has many Nextdoor neighborhood chat sites. Mine has 22,000 people in one downtown area, probably less than a mile in any dimension. It's very interesting actually to chat about the neighborhood with everyone.
So I started a thread based on the very real joy-creating event happening out there of neighborhoods placing teddy bears in windows, on porches, lawns etc and families are going out in the neighborhood to find them.
Doing a group thread with a teddy bear theme keeps it all in the heart area, which is a very good place for people these days.
And some of it can get quite funny! Like one teddy bear was originally an Edsel Ford seat cushion, but with lots of good diet, exercise and a little reshaping, became a teddy bear model in the window of FAO Schwartz in NY!
If any of you are on a group chat site, this is a lot of fun to do. Mine just started out with "ONCE UPON A TIME, there were teddy bears placed in windows, on porches, on lawns, etc. These teddy bears..."
