Can you believe we are heading to April already? Of course for those of us who are staying at home during the Covid19 pandemic, a week may seem like a year.

Tell us about your exercise this week. Some of you are sewing, out walking, working in the yard, repairing your car, cleaning etc. Sadly, some of you still may have snow to shovel.

We love to hear about your day. I know I get lots of encouragement from those who post here. [Smile]

May your week be blessed with movement, joy and health. [hi]

Since I was unable to go to church, I watched the short service from the National Cathedral online. I am Episcopalian and this is an Episcopal church. The music was lovely but weird to see it all unfold before a huge empty church.

I did a load of laundry. If I could put it outside like MannaMe often does it would dry in an instant. It would also blow away in the 50 mph winds. LOL

I talked to a dear friend whose son is on the Olympic rowing team. He is taking a short break from training now that the Olympics are postponed and coming home (and quarantining himself for 2 weeks after he gets home). How our world has changed these past few months.

Sunday I usually give my body a rest from my therapy exercises, so I will give my mom a call and then read. I am reading a Rita Brown mystery where her pets help solve the crimes.

The book sounds interesting hiker!

I managed to clean out the cabinets under our bathroom sinks last week. I also cleaned the window doors to our balcony. Now I can see out better!!

Today I plan to wash my windows on the balcony.

Going this evening to pick up groceries at a local store. I’m getting spoiled by this service!

Hope everyone is ok!!

Sorry I'm getting behind with my posts! Saturday Mom and I had to figure out how to adjust the fabric I cut already for my dress. So we added pieces to the bodice and sleeves since I forgot to add for the seam allowance...duh!

So it took all day since I'm pretty slow with the sewing and did a lot of tacking by hand. Called it quits around 9:00 p.m.

Yesterday I trimmed the bushes and raked a bit for a couple of hours.

Today I finally finished my dress! Yay!

For exercise I did that and 3 loads of laundry and I'm moving on to cutting out the pattern for my next dress.

Thanks Hiker for starting the thread! I love animals included in stories! I never finished my last book since I didn't finish in time and it expired online. Darn and it was good too, (All the Light We Cannot See).

TuTu I need to tackle the cabinets too one day. Our bathroom isn't too bad since we had a leak and I had to clean everything out then. Our kitchen cabinets is another story.....

Everyone stay safe!

Way to go on the dress, AK.

Tutu—you may inspire me one of these days to start cleaning my windows.

A very nice sunny day here.

After doing my shoulder and balance exercises, I went for a walk.

I cleaned out some of my birdfeeders and refilled them with seed. I need to get a hook up on my pergola in a few weeks to catch the hummingbirds coming through. Right now I don’t have a place to hang the feeder.

I just called the garbage down to the curb and I’m ready for dinner.

Ak, so glad to hear you got your dress finished! And you're getting started on the next one. What fun!

Hiker & Lymetoo, sounds like your houses are getting cleaned little by little.

I got another fleece blanket almost finished. Emptied the bobbin last night and stopped right there. Now to go finish that one and then work on the night gowns again. (the blankets are faster to do, so I keep sneaking another one in)

Its raining again today. Had some sunshine yesterday afternoon. Was so nice to see blue skies for awhile. Heard the spring peepers last evening!

I did some disinfecting in my car, mailbox, door knobs etc.

I went to physical therapy clinic today for knee evaluation. My legs were shaking by the time we were done. I have 7 simple exercises to do three times a week and will see the therapist twice a week unless Covid19 shuts them down and shifts the therapists to hospital duties.

I leaned a lot on my shoulders while laying partway back to do exercises and now am going to go ice my right shoulder. That is the one I had rotator cuff surgery on last year and tendonitis earlier this year.

Chilly here today--never got above 40 but warming up the rest of the week.

Absolutely gorgeous day here: sunny and in the 50s.

I went to the grocery store and of course I forgot a couple items but they can wait until next week. It wasn’t very crowded but they didn’t have any toilet paper or Kleenex or cleaning items.

I did my shoulder exercises, my knee exercises and my balance exercises.

Then I went for a walk.

Only thing I did outside of cooking a bit and dishes was grocery shopping and picking up my allergy med.

My plan tomorrow after brunch is to rake and bag leaves and acorns in the front yard. Probably 3 hours worth of work. Going to break out my refurbished blower/vac that I haven't used yet. Hope it makes my chore easier.

Hiker I need to wipe down things too! I had to turn our heat back on tonight. Crazy weather!

Manna I enjoyed making the dress but my Mom had to help with the many pieces I had to add on since I forgot to leave a seam allowance. My next dress is much, much easier and doesn't have a separate bodice and skirt.

Well of to watch some news! Night all!

I guess sewing was the only thing I did today besides my 2 hours at work.

Finished up the baby blanket from yesterday, sewed another one, and have 4 in the washer now. Sewed the sleeves in all three night gowns. Put the gathering thread around the top and next is sewing the yokes in.

Helped my daughter start sewing her dress. It went well for her and she was impressed with how easily it went together. She's ready to sew the sleeves in. They have gathers and she thinks this will be hard.

I told her it is the hardest part and when its done the rest is easy again. Shh, don't tell her the zipper can be difficult too sometimes.

Hubby finished up his part of the tax stuff. Now to get everything filled out correctly and sent in.

Our oldest son brought two azalea bushes home from work tonight. He also has a lily with buds and a 3 ever bearing strawberry plants! I think spring is here! The azaleas are pink and crimson.

MannaMe--What kind of work do you do? (other than all of the sewing, laundry, cooking, gardening)

I attended group Bible study via Zoom this morning. We finished up Judges and will start Leviticus next week.

I went to physical therapy today. I feel like a weakling. Worked on my knee and stretches and some ab work. My legs were twitching by the end.

My computer is making weird clicking noises. Not a good time for it to have issues. [Eek!]

Eek, AK!! Be careful with all the work. I finished up the back windows today. I cleaned the inside. Wow, huh!? 😀😆

I need to remember to do my window in the pantry tomorrow. It rained today. More on the way.

Manna, I think a gathered sleeve is easier than a plain one. I hope she ends up enjoying sewing. How old is she?

Oh.. AK... Did you say you didn’t finish your book? I’ve had that book on my Kindle for years and still haven’t read it. Did you like it??

Hiker, I hope the knee therapy really helps!! My computer is still down. I hate going online with my phone. Having big troubles posting this! I’m over and out!!

AK-Like you I think I’m going to pay for all of the yardwork I did today. I cut back some perennials that should’ve been cut back last fall. I raked leaves out of the perennial beds.

I decided to vacuum and wash the car.

I did my shoulder exercises and then I did my balance exercises.

And now I’m sitting on the couch getting ready to read the first book of Leviticus for Bible study.

Still very sore so taking it easy today and watching TV.

TuTu I didn't get to finish that book and couldn't check it out again from the digital library since someone put a hold on it. I might have to buy it and download it to my Kindle. I enjoyed what I've read so far.

Hiker even after taking pain pills and muscle relaxers I'm still sore and had trouble sleeping. My shoulders, neck and arms are getting even with me! Still have more yard work but am taking a few days off.

Well gang off to find something on Netflix or Amazon to watch for the evening. See you all tomorrow!

More rain today. We had 7.5 inches of rain in March.

I worked on getting birthday cards to nieces and nephews. It’s a long-standing tradition for me to send birthday cards to all of our family members.

I always include stickers or a Bible verse on small cards, or magnetic bookmarks. I’ve missed a few lately. We have 9 or 10 birthdays this month! I also send to great nieces and nephews. (Plus brothers and sisters)

I didn’t get my pantry window done since it was raining. It won’t take me long though.

My hubby still has vertigo. I had to go get another med for him this afternoon. They bring it to my car. I now have them trained to put it in my trunk. Lol.

Hey, AK and HIKER. I guess it’s too late to say take it easy!!

I did my knee exercises today.

I accomplished quite a bit of cooking today. I’m freezing most of it.

I did one load of laundry.

I wrote several letters and Easter cards to send to relatives.

I had a great talk with a former PE teacher who was my teacher when I was in junior high. She’s in a retirement center and as she said today, “I’m in jail.”

Some friends stopped by and helped me put out my patio furniture and hook up my hoses. These are still a little heavy for my shoulder. We maintained our social distance, however. It may be a little early to get these things out but I don’t turn down help when it’s offered.

Have a great evening!

I'm still recuperating from my battle with the leaves. I worked on a jigsaw puzzle most of the day and enjoyed myself.

TuTu you sound like the glue holding your family together! Did you get writer's cramp? [Big Grin] Hope your hubs feels better soon.

Hiker you and TuTu are two peas in a pod in regards to sending out cards. Glad you had help getting your outdoor chores done!

Well...off to veg for the rest of the evening.
