I got up early and went to Kroger but they were out of most of what I wanted. That’s OK. I’m not going to starve.
I watched the church service from the National Cathedral. Wonderful message and great music. Then I watched a message from a Presbyterian pastor that a friend wanted me to see. Based on my favorite Psalm (Psalm 121)
I did a load of laundry and am letting some of it air dry.
I did my balance exercises.
I went on a short walk and soaked in that wonderful sunshine.
Normally I take the day off on Sunday and don’t do much exercise, but I’m trying to figure out a schedule to do my shoulder exercises three times a week, my balance exercises three times a week, and my knee exercises three times a week. I don’t want to do them all on the same day. I also go to physical therapy twice a week and I have one lower abdominal exercise I have to do every day.
Time for my weekly call to my mom who is locked down tight in her retirement center and then I may sit out on my porch with a good book.

Hiker thanks again for starting us off for the week! I had to go make a grocery run then went to drop things off for Josh. Afterwards we went in separate cars and drove through a taco place and picked up a late lunch. He set up a chair and TV tray for me in his carport and he ate at his kitchen table and we chatted through the screen door. It was great to visit with him.
Hiker you've got so much exercising to do! I need to start doing something at home too. Tuesday I plan on tackling the yard again if it doesn't rain. Probably take me a couple days to recover though.
Hope your parents are doing OK with the lock down.
Off to veg for the rest of the day!

AK—I’m glad you could have dinner with Josh and that you could work it out to do it in a safe manner. I miss my meals with my friends.
I did a lot of odds and ends today. I cleaned a cabinet in the garage. I have several more to go but it was a start.
I cleaned out my suet feeder as the suet is almost finished off and it goes bad in warmer weather. I saw some cute wrens eating the remnants that fell onto the deck.
Apparently, my neighbor has a fox with kits underneath the shed. I haven’t seen them yet but I hope I spy them soon.
I went to physical therapy today and I was glad my therapist was wearing a mask so I don’t have to. The masks that I have always fog up my glasses and they get so hot that I don’t like to wear them when I’m exercising. So we did knee exercises. She says I am progressing albeit slowly.
I also did my shoulder exercises on my own.

Hiker way to go on your PT! My Mom has PT this Wednesday so we'll go masked and gloved.
I ended up doing my yard work today so 5 hours of raking and bagging leaves. I'm finally done with the front and one side of our yard. Just a little of the backyard to go. Super sore so medicated and drinking a gin martini. I know...not a great idea but gives me incentive to get it done.
Me and Mom polished off a chicken salad sandwich with avocado just now so that's probably dinner. I'm totally wiped out and ready to veg and watch some TV.
See you guys tomorrow!

Started making/sewing homemade masks today. Have 34 of them in the dryer right now. One store asked for 20 - 30 of them tomorrow morning if I could get them finished. Hubby helped sew the elastic.
Got a different pattern that is easier to make and fits nicer. I want to make a couple with the new pattern for us to use. My daughter said she wants cute ones. So I had her go through the fabric stash and pick out what she likes.
I have a bunch cut out ready to sew tomorrow - figured I may as well get the next batch ready because they'll probably sell out fast.
We planted lettuce & peas this evening. It got too dark to see to plant beans. Hopefully the rain waits long enough that we can get the beans planted tomorrow morning. Also should plant the sprouted potatoes left from last year.
I'm bushed..... good night!

MannaMe-I didn't realize you sewed as a business, too. A friend gave me a homemade mask and I managed to modify it enough so it fits tightly. That is the extent of my sewing skills.
It got up to 80 degrees here. Almost too hot too fast, but it will drop again quickly after a few days.
I did my knee and balance exercises.
I went for a short walk and chatted with a neighbor that I hadn't seen in awhile.
The termite man came and inspected house. He wore gloves and a mask and I disinfected well after he left. I am the only house on the block that has not had termites and I would like to keep it that way!
I worked some on my Leviticus Bible study.
Am waiting for Jim to come mow, but he may not show up until tomorrow. Grass needs a "haircut" as much as I do.
I am itching to plant some flowers and vegetables, but way too early here for that except for potatoes and onions. I usually plant in May and the nursery I get seeds and seedlings from has closed for now anyway.

Just did 2 loads of laundry and threw together some lunch. For dinner had pre-made chicken wings and Greek pasta salad.
Feeling better today and not as sore as the last time I raked and bagged leaves.
Manna what a coincidence! My Mom made 9 masks today for friends and family. I bought mine from Amazon which is either double or triple filtered since I have MCAS and it filters out chemicals and smoke. That's a great idea about making masks!
Hiker I need a haircut too! Guess I'm going to let my hair grow out. Wonder if it's OK to go out and get some topsoil for my front lawn. Too much sand in the yard so need to add some soil. My self-honeydo list is getting longer and longer.
Well...off to find a movie on Prime of Netflix.

Years ago when my children were little, I did sewing for other people, to earn some income. Had to give it up when my fussy baby came along and only took cat naps instead of the nice long naps the others had.
I have done some sewing here and there to sell occasionally over the years. Sewing the masks came up, so we got busy with it. People are needing them. The second pattern it much easier and faster to sew. And it fits better.

I went to the grocery store this morning for my usual groceries and to shop for a friend. Still amazed at how low their stock is. My friend wanted iceberg lettuce and they had none. Still no Tp, either.
I actually got to see my friend in person as she was outside in the yard when I dropped off the groceries. So good to chat even from a safe distance.
The pharmacist thanked me for wearing a mask. But I noticed neither she nor the pharmacy tech was wearing one.
I did my shoulder exercises.
I went for a walk--almost 80 here and sunny but severe storms moving in and a high of 48 tomorrow. Freeze warnings coming up, too. Spring is so fickle around here until May.
I did my knee exercises.
I chatted with my brother for quite a while. Too bad we are separated by 900 miles.
Off to grill some pork.

Took my Mom to PT today. We were masked and gloved and her therapist was masked and wearing something that covered his clothes. There was only 4 of us in the huge waiting room.
Afterwards we dropped off the masks that Mom made and put them in mailboxes then called folks to let them know we made a mask delivery.
Later we picked up water and a few groceries.
All I did today was make brunch and dinner.
Manna that's wonderful that you're making masks! Mom's therapist said his wife was making masks too. He also mentioned that they didn't have enough in the therapy department.I
Hiker it's wonderful to hear how close you are with your brother! I think I might have to break out my workout DVDs to get some exercise in. Haven't used them since I had pelvic prolapse and hope I don't aggravate anything.
Well...off to watch the news.

Attended Bible study via Zoom.
Went to PT clinic. Amazed how weak my quads and hamstrings are. We have been doing exercises without weights. Added 1/2 lb. today and I struggled a bit.
I borrowed my friend’s kitchen scale and weighed out 1/2 pound of sand to put in a sock and use around my ankles.

Took a total of 35 face masks to a second store this week. Sold 10 of them already. Have an order for 3 more made specially for someone.
Had to go buy more of the lining fabric to finish up the next batch of masks.
It got very windy today - saw quite a few trees and branches down on my way to the store. I was surprised how many of them were bradford pear trees. They are blooming now.
We had a bit of thunder this morning and a few rain showers. My daughter said it hailed for about 3 minutes while she was at work this afternoon. We didn't have any here.
The temps are dropping and expected to be near freezing by morning. Got the boys to put the blooming potted peach trees in the barn overnight. Nothing is up yet in the garden so it won't freeze.

Thankfully the wind died down today and I was able to go for a walk in the sunshine.
I also did my balance exercises and my shoulder exercises.
I’ve been up and down the stairs a gazillion times doing laundry. I wanted to wash up my mattress pad and my sheets and also my wool blanket. I may regret washing the wool blanket and putting it away so early. 🤔
It’s been a long time talking to my cousin who lives in Wyoming and has stage four ovarian cancer. So far she’s beating it.
I did decide to go to the chiropractor and wore my mask and now I’m going to head out and support a local restaurant by picking up some Mexican food.
Have a great evening. 😀
