Hi everyone! Welcome to our friendly exercise thread! We like to encourage one another by posting our activities here.

Just about anything counts as exercise! If you're out enjoying a walk or a run, kayaking, sewing, gardening, laundry, housework or any activity that gets you moving, we'd like to hear about it.

So here we go gang with another activity packed week!

I read your post from yesterday, AK! I miss the one flea market here that I used to browse in. It's now a Dollar General.

The ones downtown are hard to get to (parking) and most of the others are not as good.

Went to church. We aren't back to teaching Sunday School yet. Our members are slowly coming back. There are a few we still haven't seen. It's hard to believe that we are on our 4th Sunday back.

Things seem to be OK here as far as COVID goes. We will know very soon. (I keep saying that.)

Shows are opening up again. They are spacing out the audience members.

The weather has been really hot. We are expected to get more rain soon (we don't need it).

Have a good day, everyone!

Our church is still closed. So we had the service by Zoom. The pastor, the organist and a parishioner filming are the only ones in the church. So odd.

After church I did a load of laundry. Am drying a few things on the drying rack on the porch.

Very warm here. Heavy rain and wind expected Tuesday but I hope the south isn’t hit too bad by the tropical storm.

Talked to my mom. She is finally able to get a haircut at the retirement home tomorrow. Last one was in early February.

May go out and read for awhile on the porch where it is a bit shaded.

Today is my day off from therapy exercises.

Ended up cooking up a storm because I didn't have cream of mushroom soup. Browned the chicken and put the pieces in the crockpot and made chicken cacciatore. Made a marinated veggie salad and zoodles and regular noodles.

I'm stuffed and my stereo system is still not put together.

Josh is here with 2 scary movies from Redbox. Hope I don't have nightmares. I dreamt 3 times that I had Corona!

TuTu we enjoyed ourselves so much at the flea market. I love to go 'treasure hunting'!

Hiker I bet your Mom is going to feel and look fabulous! Hoping you can see your folks soon. Too bad they can't do Zoom or something similar so families can see their loved ones.

Well....it's scary movie time! [Eek!]

I did my knee exercises this morning.

I went to Kroger and picked up some organic meat and a few other items including some mint chip ice cream. Had to use that coupon, right?

I ran a few other errands. Very hot here today.

My appointment with the orthopedic MD for tomorrow got canceled because he has some emergency surgeries. So I guess I will have to be patient until next week. Hate it when that happens.

AK .. I hope you survive the movies with NO nightmares! I never watch scary stuff. Most of it these days is gory, not scary. I hate gory. I can't even handle zombies. lol

Hiker .. Sorry you have to wait on your appointment. Never fun!!

I ran a few errands today. Mailed some birthday cards to family and bought a new HVAC filter. Also stopped at Walgreen's and Lakeland for scripts.

The rain from the storm has begun. Our lakes are already way too full. I just hope they don't have to open the flood gates so much that people are flooded downstream.

So far, it's been Ok . We've had tons and tons of rain over the past few months. I think 4 flood gates have been open for about a week.

The rain has begun ... expecting at least 3 more inches.

Manna .. you still sewing?

OH .. PS .. My neighbor upstairs has been here since right after the old neighbor flooded our condo. She is moving back to CA.

The good news is that our Bible study leader is moving to that condo!!

Yes, I have 4 of the hand towels you hang in your kitchen to dry your hands in the works right now. They need buttons & button holes.

We got a new suit for my hubby and I need to hem the pants.

I didn't start the latest piece of fabric that came along home with me when I went for the zippers!

Got the beef from the butcher today. Had to borrow space in my sister in law's freezer to put some of it as my freezers were full!

Starting the week off with a bang! Did my usual 3 DVDs, facial exercises and pelvic routine. Afterwards used my gently used edger/trimmer that I bought Saturday for $20 and leaf blower/mulcher. Very happy with the trimmer!

Resting now and watching Elizabeth The Golden Age on Netflix.

Hiker I want to come over to your house for some ice cream. Sounds delicious!

TuTu thankfully no nightmares but they were gory! Nice that someone you know is going to be a neighbor!

Manna way to go with all the sewing! My Mom made me a terry cloth mask today.

It's movie time!

Rainy and very windy all day.

Did my balance exercises.

Otherwise was a couch potato. Reading most of the day.

Manna...those sound great!

AK .. I failed to mention that my new neighbor upstairs lives here in the condos. We have 18 condos in three buildings of 6 each.

She currently lives in the last building and we are in the first. Her husband is the one who installed our new HVAC 2 years ago.

Hiker .. We had rain all night, but I think we escaped any bad flooding here. It was nice and sunny today, but hot.

The rest of the week will be much cooler.

Gotta do my Bible study tonight.

OH .. and I took some more items to the thrift shop. I always feel wonderful after I do that!! I tend toward saving things I shouldn't, so if I get rid of something it's a success for me.

Have a good evening, everyone!

Only did my 3 DVDs today. Washed my bedding and a load of towels. Washed the dishes and ordered vitamins online for my Mom.

The plan today was to dust and vacuum but ended up gabbing on the phone and working on a puzzle instead.

Hiker sounds like a day well spent!

TuTu what I wouldn't give for cooler weather! Since I'm not going to the YMCA I can pretend I'm in the sauna when I'm outside!

See everyone tomorrow!

I went grocery shopping this morning.

Did my knee exercises.

Ac serviceman came for the annual check on the air conditioner. Really nice good guy and we charred about the lack of Chicago Cubs baseball. Same guy comes every year.

Spent a lot of time reading as I wasn’t sure when he would come.

Also worked on my Bible study for tomorrow’s online meeting.

Very windy again today and had a storm this afternoon. My neighbor’s maple split in the storm yesterday.

I have branches to pick up in the yard but will wait until wind dies down tomorrow.

Worked out to my 3 DVDs and did my facial exercises.

Took Mom to her PT appointment, stopped by the bank and we did a quick run to the craft store.

Planned on using the reel mower on the lawn today but got rained out. No rain forecasted for tomorrow so will try to squeeze it in.

Hiker what a shame about your neighbor's maple tree! I dread picking up storm debris but not to bad here.

Well I'm off to bed. Have an early morning with gutter contractor.

Picked up food today after our Bible Study. We are using the Create a Room on Facebook for our gathering. It's very simple.

The weather was nice and cool today, but will warm back up tomorrow. It was "breezy."

Not much else to report. OH .. I did stop by a shoe store and got some new laces for my sneakers. I needed new elastic ones.

See ya tomorrow!

Had Bible study this morning via Zoom.

Did my balance exercises.

Went to chiropractor. Was ticked that receptionist was not wearing her mask.

Picked up fallen branches from storm.

Also pulled the buds off he mums so they won’t bloom early.

The library in my town now lets us get books on hold in their parking lot. I have 7 books to read in the next 3 weeks. A lot came in while they were closed and I had to get them all at once.

Better keep reading. [Big Grin]

That's a good idea to have the books in the parking lot! You read so much .. and I watch so much TV. LOL.

I went to a local dept store because hubby needed socks and I only buy them on sale. Pretty pricey but they last a long time.

So of course I had to see what else they had on sale! I did a good job of containing myself. I bought one pair of jeans and one pair of really cute capris. Also found a cute casual top. I saved $74 on three items!

Then I went to Kohl's and returned some capris that didn't fit. I ordered another size on their kiosk. It's nice because it will be delivered to my house with no shipping charge.

Everyone is doing a good job of social distancing even though our governor is about to let up on all of our restrictions.

I did some work on my balcony. I had a large mat for the balcony but it's a problem when storms come through. So I cut it in half and put it under the patio chairs next to the windows. Looks OK.

One tiny problem. I thought I had it all figured out, but when I made the final cut (with part of the mat hanging off the balcony so I could work on it) .. the other half fell to the ground.

Hiker is now laughing because she knows how far down it went. LOL .. I guess about 25 ft. I will have to ask our maintenance guy to get it in the morning. If someone steals it. ...OH well.

The only people who would steal it would be anyone who would come into the gated community on foot during the night.

I can't go get it because it's too hard to walk down there .. from either direction.

Well .. nite nite, everyone!!

Worked out to my 3 DVDs, facial exercises and pelvic routine.

Ran errands this morning and bought 10 small potted monkey grass plants, 5 bags of topsoil and a raised garden kit to surprise my Mom.

Cut the grass with the reel mower and used the weed eater in the backyard.

I'm wiped out!

TuTu I hate it when I think I know what I'm doing and turns out I don't have a clue. In my case it's usually a costly mistake. Bet your balcony looks great!

Hiker I've got limbs in the yard too! Noticed them while cutting grass. Good luck reading all those books!

See everyone tomorrow!

HEY AK .. I was just thinking about "monkey grass" today. Do you have the dark kind??

I grew up with the dark green monkey grass and was just realizing that I have not seen any in years.

Tutu-hope you got your mat back. [Big Grin]

Did my knee exercises.

Picked up some supplements from 2 different chiropractors. The first one I went in to the clinic and neither staff member was wearing a mask. I was wearing mine.

The second one put the supplements in a drop box outside and was only allowing emergency type clients in. Masks required. Interesting to see the differences.

I cleaned out the down spouts around the house. Lay down some pesticide in crack on front porch. My front porch was overrun with ants.

Made a meatloaf.

Sat outside and read a bit.

Did my 3 DVDs, facial exercises and pelvic routine. I'm done for the week so no exercise Saturday and Sunday.

Still tired from yesterday but have been running errands and just got home around 6:00. Now I plan on just watching TV and eating leftovers for dinner.

TuTu our Home Depot had the dark green ones on sale 10 for $10. I haven't planted them yet and if I don't have to drive to Atlanta tomorrow with Josh to pick up his car I'll do some more yard work. I'm on a mission to stop the surface water runoff that's washing out our topsoil.

Hiker amazing the 2 chiropractors have such different protocols for reopening. That meatloaf sounds so good.....I'm having boring leftovers.

Well speaking of leftovers, time to stick them in the microwave.

Hiker .. nope. The mat is still down there. I called our maintenance guy about 3:30 and he had already left the division. He called me later and said they saw the mat but didn't know who it belonged to.

He will get it on Monday unless someone takes it. [Smile] One of my neighbors offered to get it for me, but I said I don't want it or need it. I could put it in my garage, but there's too much stuff in there already.

AK ..That's interesting about the monkey grass. It grows pretty fast, so it should help.

Hiker ... the meatloaf sounds good to me too. I can't eat it anymore because of the tomatoes, but I love it.

Going to make banana bread again tomorrow. The bananas are ready!

Nite nite!!

Ugh....I way overdid it today! Trouble sleeping and was up at 3:30 and outside by 6:30. Worked until 12:00.

Had to go get 5 more bags of 40 lb river rock, 10 bags of topsoil and 10 more small monkey grass plants and one 4x4 six foot post.

Completed the berm alongside the other fence but needed more monkey grass. The other ten are planted, yay!

So used up three 4x4 posts and 2 1\2 bags of river rock and 3 bags of topsoil.

Also I bought my Mom a raised garden bed kit and put that together. Had to dig out and level a 4x8 foot section of the backyard to put it in. Looks great but I need much more topsoil and garden soil.

I've tweaked my back so I'm medicated and resting, hoping I'll be OK by tomorrow.

TuTu I bought these little bananas from the local grocery store and we've been putting them in our Cheerios. Banana bread sounds much, much better!

See everyone tomorrow!

AK—You sure did a lot of work today. I bet your mom will appreciate the raised bed for flowers or whatever she wants to plant. I hope your back feels better quickly.

Tutu—My meatloaf does not have any tomatoes in it except for some ketchup.

I did my balance exercises this morning.

I did one load of laundry.

I paid some bills and got some cards ready to mail.

My good buddy came over this evening with Chipotle. We sat on my back patio. It’s gorgeous out today with temperatures in the 70s and a light breeze.

Watched a Hallmark chick flick after my friend left.
