Lots of people had very creative - and safe- ideas for celebrating.

I did not. I stayed home for my own safety. I did make myself some popcorn and watched fire works on the telly.

Sent my kids a beautiful animated e-card of a very energetic eagle crossing the country to "America the Beautiful"

(which I would prefer to be our national anthem -lovely, sing-able, and non violent.)

How did you celebrate?

I love the beginning of the Declaration (second paragraph):

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. —

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."

Cooked up a storm down here! Made petite Yukon gold potato salad, fresh peach crisp with ice cream. My Mom jazzed up some canned baked beans and sauerkraut and my nephew manned the grill and cooked some hotdogs and hamburgers. Had the the fixins and chili too for the grilled meats.

Have you heard of the Covid 15 weight gain? Well, they need to add the 4th 5!

I've had my flag out for 3 days now. First time I've done that.

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!
