He has been so great about trying to have all Ohioans keep each other safe! Very well respected for all he has done to educate Ohioans and keep them informed with weekly press conferences. He was tested on his way to appear with Trump- not far from me.
As I said elsewhere here:
"Cases and deaths are so hard on everyone.
People are suffering and dying alone, at home and in treatment.
I worry that people will think they are safe and ignore precautions.
Wear a mask when you go out anywhere!! Stay at a safe distance from other people! Wash your hands often!
So simple!
You protect other people and they protect you. Sounds like good sense, good citizenship, and best safe practice.
Seems only fair.
Wearing a mask does not talk away your freedom - it might just keep you alive!

OHIO GOV. DEWINE NOW TESTS NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19, AFTER AN APPARENT FALSE POSITIVE EARLIER TODAY by Kevin Ryan
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) has tested negative for COVID-19, after testing positive earlier today using a rapid test. DeWine had been scheduled to meet President Donald Trump during his trip to the state.
DeWine’s second test took place at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center. That test came back negative. First Lady Fran DeWine and staff members have also all tested negative for COVID-19.
"We feel confident in the results from Wexner Medical Center. This is the same PCR test that has been used over 1.6 million times in Ohio by hospitals and labs all over the state," he said in a statement.
DeWine, 73, had planned to quarantine for 14 days at his Cedarville home. "I spend most days right here anyway," DeWine said via videoconference from the front porch of his home. "I’m on the phone a lot. I’m on conference calls a lot. So far my work is not going to be impacted."
Out of an abundance of caution, and at the direction of medical professionals, the DeWines plan on having another PCR test on Saturday. Results of these tests will also be released.

Gov. and wife tested negative with PCR test on Sat. - the one that looks at the DNA - so they are safe for now.
The quick test is not reliable, just like the ELISA test docs give too early to detect Lyme disease.
The PCR test for Lyme disease is pretty reliable. You can read about the Lyme disease tests at the Igenex.org site.

Just so you know, the Ohio gov and his wife, Fran have been isolated at their home in so. OH and will be for the full 14 days, even though they did test negative - twice.
He has been holding his usual Tues. and Thurs. press conferences remotely - focusing on the pandemic, mainly. He takes questions from reporters from all over the state - remotely.
