Hello September! Let’s makes this a month of movement. [woohoo]

On this friendly thread we encourage each other to exercise.

This includes walking, swimming, gardening, vacuuming, baking, and so much more. Yes, we have even been known to count yakking on the phone as exercise. [Big Grin]

Or just tell us about your day.

Have a super week! [hi]

I watched the service at my own church and then the sermon from the National Cathedral.

I did a load of laundry. Put clean sheets on the bed.

I did my knee and feet exercises.

Chatted with mom.

Filled several bird feeders. Hummingbirds are not stopping at my feeder. I think the feeder is too flat on top and I may need to go back to a different shape of feeder.

Went to recycling and got caught in a sudden rainstorm. Then went to Dollar General to get some birthday cards. Was pretty wet when I got home. Oh well, we needed the rain.

Am watching US Open tennis now with Coco Grauff in a tight match.

Leftovers for dinner and then settling down to read on the couch.

Went to church this morning.

Had lunch and then took a nap.

Caught up on reading and writing some emails with a friend.

Oldest Son made chicken noodle soup and cheese & crackers for supper.

Took care of the keets and chicks. Got 19 chicks out of the incubator last evening. They are cute little balls of fluff!

Sunny this morning and rainy this afternoon & evening.

This morning made a pot of Starbucks coffee.
It was a gray chilly day. Great relaxing weather.
Did back and neck stretch’s because I awoke sore and in pain,

Made a huge western omelette.

Took all the recyclables and garbage.

Did a load of laundry.

Laid down to watch a movie and woke up 1 hour later.

We decided to go summer clothes shopping marked down.
Bad idea, stores were packed and everything was picked over.
I wore 2 masks, wiped down everything with wipes and tried to stay 6 feet away from everyone.

But I bought 2 summer skorts that I couldn’t find in the beginning of summer, so happy.

My guest has her high school friend over so I made them dinner.
Vegan turkey breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy and sautéed bok choy with garlic, it was really delicious.

I stayed in kitchen so I wouldn’t burn anything, lol.

I’m watching ‘Only Murders in the Building’ with Steve Martin and Martin Short. They are both up for an Emmy but Martin Short is really fabulous and very funny.

Happy Labor Day!

Bonnie--Clothes shopping is a task I loathe.

Well, I certainly didn't labor much today.

I did my exercises--balance, feet, and shoulder but no other chores. I walked around my cul-de-sac several times, but my feet are still bothering me too much to go further.

I did spend some time with Bible study.

Called mom.

Got a call from the Mennonite Community Condos that I would like to eventually live at. They have a "potential" opening. They might rent it to the new pastor and his wife as they have not found a house, yet, to buy. I suggested they look at my house. LOL

I am not holding my breath about the condo. Not even sure which one it is and the last two I looked at I nixed.

I am going to broil brats for dinner and have green beans and a salad.

Time to take the garbage to the curb.

Hi, gang!

STill trying to rest up after having had company last week. We had a great time.

Church was great yesterday. We had a substitute because our Pastor is taking 2 more weeks of vacation.

Next week I will give the "sermon." Pray for me! [Wink]

I need to get busy on reading our chapter for tomorrow's Bible study at church, then on to the one for Wed's here at the condos. I have a lot of reading to do!!

I love finding sales, BB!

Hiker .. They should go look at your house!! At least you are now getting calls!!

The homemade soup sounds awesome, Manna!

Tutu--As long as your sermon is short, people will love it [Big Grin] What I mean is I hate long sermons. I am sure yours will be great.

I did my bike warmup and then my knee and feet exercises.

A woman from the Mennonite Community council came over this afternoon to video my house and send to the new pastor who is in Idaho.

She indicated if I didn't like the condo that is open that another one will probably come open within a year. The second one would get more sunlight, but I still need to see the first one.

Plus, no guarantee if I decline this one, that they will call me to look at the next one that opens up. First it goes to Mennonites and so it depends on who is wanting to downsize at a particular time.

She was very helpful in answering a lot of my questions and was appalled I hadn't received a copy of the condo rules since I have looked at several in the last few years. The family of the woman who owned the condo have until the end of September to move out her things, so I just need to be patient.

She asked if I would be able to move by October 23 if the pastor wanted to buy my house. I think they are putting the cart before the horse on this one.

Worked on Bible study.

Leftovers for dinner.

Stopped raining this morning.

Got the beans picked. The two rows of yellow beans produces as much as 6 rows of green! I'm not so happy about that. The green ones do have more blossoms but the leaves are all brown... It was a very wet summer for us.

Picked a few more pickles and a few tomatoes and zucchini.

Peeled sweet potatoes and am canning another 7 quarts.

Sonny and I both seem to have caught the bug one of the other boys had last week. I think I'm gonna take a shower and go to bed.

Manna--And we have had a very dry summer. But the farmers say the soybeans and corn look good, so happy about that. I definitely live in a farming county.

I went grocery shopping this morning.

Then did my balance and feet exercises.

I went through all my old supplements and tossed the ones that were expired (most of them). Took the bottles to recycling.

Then I was up and down the stairs a lot taking pictures of items I want to sell and posting them on Nextdoor. I think a gal is coming to buy my outside bike tonight.

Called mom.

Guy from condo association called and thinks we can get in to see the condo on Monday afternoon but he won't know for sure until Monday.

So, I sat at the computer and made an extensive list of items to look at and ask questions about.

Then I measured a few pieces of my furniture to see if they would fit in certain spots of the condo. I have been in several condos at this place before and they are all basically the same dimensions.

I feel totally drained now.

Having a tossed salad topped with broccoli, raspberries and strips of pork loin for dinner.

hiker-the condo sounds like the way to go. Moving is the tough part.

Had family over for early dinner. I made most of it yesterday. Turkey (not vegan), stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. Everyone enjoyed it. (Who doesn’t like turkey?)

Walked dog.

Checked pool chemical levels, had to add chlorine and ph.
Water was cold @ 76*, didn’t make it swimming. Tomorrow I will go to gym. Haven’t been going but a friend wants to check it out before joining.

Loaded old tv into the trunk of my car to drop off at recycling center.

Cleaned out freezer.

Changed sheets on my bed and did a load of wash.

Gonna watch a classic movie tonight. LOVE old movies.
Todays movies and tv shows, the camera jumps around too much and I get dizzy.

Sorry I've been MIA guys. Just too busy.

Drove 45 minutes today to go to my dentist with Mom. Had 3 fillings. I think part of one just fell out after brushing my teeth so will call them in the morning.

It's always something.

I'll catch up with you all later!

Ak--Bummer about the filling.

BB--I have issues if I watch a movie in a theater. Am okay if it is on my small tv.

Did my bike warm up and then my knee and feet exercises.

Drove the hour to my mom's and had lunch with her and stayed for a few hours. Then drove back.

Cleaned out a few files.

Filled the safflower feeder and the suet feeder.

I did have a hummingbird at my feeder this morning. Finally!

Leftovers for dinner.

hiker-The book I’m reading is by Ron Howard called “The Boys.”
I just remembered you had asked me, lol.

Went to gas up car and get coffee.

Stopped at pool store.

Dropped off old tv at recycling center.

Walked dog.

Called my neighbor and she is feeling so much better. She said she stopped taking all the anxiety meds.. At the ER, they gave her Xanax and she was able to tolerate it. But her primary refused to prescribe it, instead prescribing 3 different meds that caused her to throw up, vertigo, no sleep and no appetite!

Stopped at meat market for their homemade chicken fingers.
I having them tonight while watching the 1st football game of the season.

The Buffalo Bills at LA Rams (last year’s Super Bowl winner) will be a GREAT match-up.

Go BILLS !!! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Baking day.

Still feeling achey and tired. The fourth one of us has gotten it. We are improving.

Ordered 18 chicks on Tuesday and they came today. These are chickens that will lay 5+ eggs a week.

Neighbor stopped by to chat a little. Sent a bag of extra cookies along home with him.

I'm ready for a warm shower and my bed!

Hope you feel better soon, Manna and family!!

I've seen hummers here too, hiker. Love them. I really should get a feeder, but the upstairs neighbor has one and I get hummers here on my flowers. I love seeing them on flowers.

AK .. Laurie had the same problem. I have NO IDEA how a new filling could fall out. That is unreal.

I'm very busy right now. OCC set up today in nearby city. Big Project Leaders workshop there tomorrow.

Then Sunday I will be giving the sermon at our church. Our Pastor is on vacation one more Sunday.

Manna--Will pray you and your family feel better soon.

Made GF blueberry muffins and froze them. I had too many blueberries and needed to use them before they went bad.

I did my balance exercises, feet exercises and shoulder stretches.

Then went to chiropractor.

Talked to mom.

Cleaned out a bunch of files and shredded a lot. Then took it to recycling center.

Gathered up some books that I won't read again and took them to several Free Little Libraries in the neighborhood.

Posted a few more items to sell on Nextdoor. Sold my big exercises ball, but am surprised the weights I have for sell haven't sold. I have an old radio and radio/cassette boom box on there as well a lot of other stuff. Even if I don't end up moving it is good for me to start clearing out items.

I have a ton of 3 ring binders that I need to take to a school so kids can use them.

Drove past the condo again to get a look at the side with the deck. If they take out the dying spruce tree that will really let light in the home. Will go see it on Monday, I hope.

My usual Friday night fare. Small gluten free pizza with a tossed salad.

Manna-hope you and your family start feeling better.

Went to gym this morning and ran into a few people I know. I don’t get made up to go to the gym and I have put on a few pounds from drinking all the double double coffees. That’s what a gym is for, to look and feel better!

Changed batteries on my bathroom scale.
Changed batteries on my door wreath..
Changed batteries on my garage door opener.
I eventually get around to doing odd jobs, lol.

Went over to neighbors and picked green beans, tomatoes, mint, carrots, apples and pears. All organic. No more peppers, I’m peppered out!

Relaxed on lounge chair and read my book.
Had to stop reading a few times because my animals kept wanting to be brushed. They patiently wait their turn.

I did leg exercises while reading. Calf and thighs and stretches.

Watered plants.

Took dog for walk.

Having leftovers, really wanted pizza.

Have a great night.

Manna sure hope you all feel better.

BB so glad to hear your neighbor is feeling better.

TuTu it wasn't my filling thank God! It was some type of bondo they put on my gum to protect it while working on my tooth....whew!

Hiker decluttering is such a big job. Most of my stuff is in my Mom's shed out back. Boxed up for 7 years now. I need to go through them this year once it's cooler.

I've been keeping up with Mom's PT and my own. I thought since my shoulder was feeling so much better I could do push-ups against the counter. By the 3rd day I tweaked it pretty bad. Made an appointment today with the therapist that has been helping me so will see him next Wednesday.

Sometimes I think I'm younger and in better shape....sigh....

Oh had yet another episode of anaphylaxis while sleeping from just half a pain pill and muscle relaxer. It wasn't as bad as some have been but sure is discouraging.

Wiped out so off to read.

Night gang!

Thanks for your prayers. I think we are on the mend, at least the first ones down. Oldest son is still complaining and late this afternoon, oldest daughter says her throat hurts, soo she's coming down with it also.

Got the laundry done, though I did put most of it in the dryer. Wasn't sure I'd have the energy to hang it all outside.

Helped Hubby & the boys set up the first wall of the guinea house this morning. They put the second wall up this afternoon.

Canned the 2nd batch of 7 day pickles.

Put zucchinis in a tub of water to wash them on the back porch........ just realized I never got around to washing them. Hopefully they won't be harmed by setting in water overnight.

I did a load of laundry this morning.

Measured more furniture so when I see condo I can see what fits.

Took more pics of items to sell and posted them on next door.

Shredded more files.

Worked on Bible study.

A friend came over this afternoon and we yakked for quite a while. She brought some chocolate with her. [Big Grin]

Otherwise, I have had a lazy day and that feels good!

My BFF is coming over tonight. We will have a small bottle of champagne, cheese, and shrimp cocktail to celebrate my 60th which is tomorrow.

Did PT for me and Mom then fixed brunch.

We went to the mall and were successful in finding glitzy shoes for a semi-formal we're attending next Saturday.

Hit the Asian market and the regular grocery store before picking up Mexican fast food for dinner.

Ready to just relax!

Hiker I'm so glad you were able to celebrate with your BFF! Welcome to your next decade!

Manna hope everyone gets better soon. What are you going to do with all your zucchini? I found a recipe for shredded zucchini pancakes and made it once. They were great!

Time to chill!

Today was better than yesterday. Everyone except the girls are on the mend. Both girls just started with the headache, sore throat and general aching.

Hubby & the children worked at the guinea house until it started raining just before lunch. 3 Walls are up and the roof boards.

After lunch they all went shopping. Needed feed for the birds and animals and the people! Daughter had a coupon for Goodwill so they found some treasures there also.

I diced up some of the zucchini and shredded the rest. Put 11 packs total in the freezer. The little bit extra that was leftover got added to the potato filling for tomorrow's lunch.

Have some wash to fold yet tonight.
