Hard to believe we are getting ready to roll the calendar over to November. Autumn is flying by.

But, just because the weather is getting cooler doesn’t mean we can’t get out and exercise. [woohoo]

So, let’s continue to encourage each other to move— Whether it is raking, walking, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc.

Have a great week! [hi]

I watched the National Cathedral church service on the internet. Great sermon. Super music.

Other than doing a load of laundry and a little cooking I had a lazy day.

Talked to mom.

Worked a little bit on my Bible study.

I read most of the afternoon.

Will have leftovers for dinner and then watch a movie tonight.

Happy Halloween!

This morning I rode the exercise bike, did my knee exercises and my feet exercises.

Listened to National Cathedral morning prayer.

Drove through the pouring rain to drive the hour to mom's. Took her to the dentist. She got a great report.

I am staying the night and going through papers etc. Amazing how much she accumulates in just a few weeks that need to be recycled. Also am cleaning bathroom and microwave etc.

Probably won't get trick or treaters at the retirement center. Bummer.

Last week was pretty horrible, herx days, herx nights, sweat through my pillows again. I figure I’m on a 14 day cycle.

I still tried to pretend I could go about my day, walk the dog, cooking, shop in the mornings. But then I couldn’t do anything. So I stayed in bed and rode it out.

Anyways, tooth and jaw pain was beyond belief. I canceled 2 dentist appointments because I physically couldn’t get out of bed. This morning was appointment #3 and I was gonna cancel again but I know this dentist would fire me as his patient. So I went and got root cancel and partial crown. Happy Halloween to me.

Put a table on the porch with individual bags of candy for the kids hoping they each take one, lol. Also have a bowl of apples for a healthy option, especially for kids that have a nut allergy.

My neighborhood is popping. Neighbor celebrates BIG TIME with strobe lights, smoke, music, cemetery markers, Frankenstein, spider webs, and lots of guests visiting.

I’m in the bedroom with my cats and dog as they are scared, lol.

Having Chinese takeout, mostly soft noodles and dumplings.

Happy Halloween 🧛🏼‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧜‍♀️🥷🦹👨‍🚒🧚‍♂️🧑‍🎤🕵️‍♀️👩‍🎤

Happy Halloween guys! I'm going to watch a scary movie and veg.

Getting up early to sit at Josh's and wait for the gas company to turn on his gas. Later going to another performance at the planetarium for art on the dome and music from the local university's school of music.

They have hors d'oeuvres and wine, soda, etc. Meeting my friend there but she has to leave early for poll training.

Well....Josh is sick again and I have a sore throat today. I'm driving my Mom to Atlanta on Thursday for her lung nodule biopsy. Please pray that I'll be well enough to take her.

See you all tomorrow!

Baking day. 40 loaves of bread, 2 packs of dinner rolls.

Picked 5 saffron flowers.

Fed and watered the chicks, chickens & guineas.

Rainy day.

Daughter baked cookies. Sonny is still working at his whoopie pies. He doubled the amounts he's making. Added pumpkin as the 3rd kind, to the chocolate and chocolate chip.

Planning menus for this weekend when Hubby's brother & family come.

Did some online shopping.

Hubby is researching new mattresses. Ours is worn out.

Ak--Praying you can make the trip for your mom's lung biopsy.

Manna--I hated shopping for a new mattress a few years ago. Best wishes on that.

BB--I bet you are still riding the waves of the Bill's victory over the Packers! Sorry you had to go to the dentist. Ugh.

Did my balance exercises and feet exercises at mom's. She looked at me like I was crazy!

Read my mom's local paper and it looks like Aetna has a tentative agreement with the local hospital and physician's group there. Hurrah!

I drove home from Mom's late this morning. Pea soup fog most of the way and so many cars and trucks without their lights on.

Got my hair cut.

Worked on Bible study.

Ordered about 30 books to give to charity for Christmas. Most of the fun is picking out the books. I chose books for elementary school kids this year.

Dashed to the grocery store to get a few on sale items that won’t be on sale tomorrow.

Grilling burgers for dinner. Might as well grill two and have one left for tomorrow night.

Have a good evening! [Smile]

Rode my exercise bike, did my knee exercises and then my feet exercises.

Worked on Bible study.

Guys came to blow insulation into the attic. After they left the furnace man showed up with a new UV light for my air purifier.

I put everything back into the closet that I had to take out for the insulation guys to access the attic.

Called mom.

Chatted with my neighbor a long time.
Read a little bit.

Dinner will be leftover hamburger, broccoli and tossed salad.

I don't know what's going on but found out today the appointment tomorrow for my Mom is just a new patient visit with a pulmonologist. That means I'll have to take her back up there for the biopsy. [Mad]

We're going back already on the 28th and are staying in Atlanta until December 1st for her oncologist follow-up.

Sheesh.....

Happy to hear everyone's news!

Me and Mom went to the commissary and then she treated me to a Mexican lunch. We have enough leftovers for a couple more meals!

We also browsed a bit at TJ Maxx.

See you all tomorrow!

I'm here ..just a quick check-in.

Dental work Monday and yesterday, so two trips to the nearby state.

We are both exhausted. I was in the DDS chair for 4 1/2 hours yesterday. At least I don't have to go back in two weeks. He did both crowns yesterday.

My CPAP and Sjogren's are destroying my teeth.

Working on OCC all this week and will go see Sharon today. She is on hospice now. [Frown]

Saturday is our big packing party .. lots of fun!!

Lymetoo, Sorry about your friend, Sharon. The time at the dentist sounds awful.

AK--Sorry the lung biopsy isn't sooner. Will your mom get the biopsy when you go back Nov. 28?

I got up pretty early and did my balance and feet exercises.

Had Bible study this morning. Spent a lot of time in prayer as so many health needs among the women in group. Two with terminal cancer, a young gal with POTS and another genetic disease that makes her joints so loose her shoulder dislocates without warning; Another gal fell yesterday in her garage for some unknown reason and is in the ICU. Her sister, who has dementia, found her and doesn't know how long she was in the garage unconscious.

Went grocery shopping. Crowded as it is senior citizen's day for a 10% discount. They gave me the discount and I didn't argue about it. LOL

Got the estimate to have my couch reupholstered. Now I need to make the down payment so they can order the cloth. They won't get the job done until after Christmas but they want to make sure they have the material before they come get the couch.

Paid my car insurance. It went up, of course, since people have been driving like maniacs since covid lockdowns lifted.

Took a short nap in my recliner.

Quite a beautiful day out. Low 70's although a bit windy. Expecting strong storms tomorrow night and Saturday with high winds. You know when they put the wind advisory out 48 hours in advance it will not be nice!

Off to fix dinner and then read. The novel I am into is 1500 pages long! Yipe.

This morning the laborers came to fix the holes in my eves from the squirrels. Pretty big job so they will be back tomorrow.

It was absolutely beautiful outside, baby blue skies. But the air quality was poor, recommending to stay indoors. Go figure?

My normally quiet house was chaos for the animals due to the noise of the home improvement. They hid, came out to eat, then hid again. I had my garage door open all day for the workers. After they left, I was missing my boy cat. I found him hiding in the garage scared.

Afternoon fatigue hit but couldn’t sleep with all the hammers and saws. I tried exercising but no energy. So I gave the dog a bath and me a shower. We both felt better.

2 of my neighbors are sick. But the 87 year old, who had neck artery surgery last month, and has a huge scar to prove it, was out cutting grass on his rider. God Bless him.

I did cook today.
Made a turkey thigh and baked carrots and squash.
Took squash out first as it was done. Later took out the turkey and carrots, both burnt. Ate it anyway.

Called my Aunt who is now in rehab. She can’t wait to get back home. God watches over her and everyone is praying for her.

Saying prayers to all who are suffering and struggling ⭐️

Tomorrow I’m having a fish fry dropped off by my friend.
Looking forward to it! 🦈

Whew .. just got finished watching game 5 of the World Series. What a game.

A real nail-biter!! Last night was so easy for Astros fans because it was a no-hitter.

Tonight was nuts, but had some really great plays.

So it's Astros 3 and the Phillies 2.

The series is also 3-2 Astros.

Hope I can sleep!!

Tutu--Hope the Phillies win the next game just to make the series more interesting.

BB--Glad you aunt is in rehab and will soon be home. Did you get your fish fry? You need comfort food after all the noise from the laborers in your house.

I did my bike warm up and then my knee and feet exercises. My knee and feet hurt more again. Thought the feet had settled down but flaring now.

Listened to the audiotape for my Bible study.

Made more gluten free muffins and froze half. Had one with my eggs for lunch.

Called mom. I have a cordless phone so she can hear better and the electricity went out for a bit and cut us off. We have 40 mph wind gusts now and are under a weather advisory tonight through tomorrow. I keep thinking about dropping the landline, but she just can't hear me on my cell phone.

Battery in my kitchen clock died, so I hauled the ladder upstairs and replaced it. Also went ahead and changed the clock back an hour so, I don't have to get the ladder out again. Now, every time I look at the clock it messes with my mind. [Big Grin]

Filled the back up battery for my sump pump with distilled water. It is actually a battery for a boat but does the trick if the electricity fails in a storm.

Paid my mom's new grocery shopper after I called her for an update. This agency is much better than the other one mom had been using but a little more expensive. They do really check and see if items are outdated in the fridge and open up cans for her etc. The other agency didn't do that.

Spent some time reading. Am 1/3 through that thick novel. Then I checked the library website and I have 4 more books that have come in that I need to pick up on Sunday.

Store bought gluten free pizza with tossed salad tonight for dinner. Can you tell it's Friday?

Have a great evening! [Cool]

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I finally made it to the gym!!!!!!!! So HAPPY!!!!!!!

After 2 months of escalating health problems, I had to reach out to my LLMD. Finishing week 3 of Babs and Lyme meds, has me back in the game towards wellness. As everyone here knows, it’s not my 1st rodeo. Maybe 5th relapse and it was really bad. So GRATEFUL to have a GREAT DAY!!!!!! Couldn’t wait to put my 1st red heart on my daily planer for the month of Nobember.

At the gym I worked on 12 separate machines. 50 reps on each one. Took me 55 minutes. Nice and slow. 10 lb weights on a pulley system.

Construction guys still working, lots of noise. No afternoon nap, waaaaaaahhhhh. But their work looks great.

Washed a load of blankets and pillowcases.

Walked the dog twice.
Brushed all the animals.

Called my Aunt in rehab, it’s going slow. She sounds very tired, poor thing. Hope she improves enough to be able to come home soon.

Neighbor dropped of a fish fry from the sportsman’s club.
I’m gonna tear into it now. Everyone have a good night.

Mom saw 2 pulmonologists yesterday and they weren't thrilled to do a lung biopsy due to the risks and the location of the nodules.

One of them called me this morning with the good news that the oncologist agreed to do a rib biopsy instead since that appears cancerous too.

So waiting to find out when that'll be.

She has an appointment on the 28th to check her esophagus and an oncologist follow-up on December 1st.

We'll be staying in Atlanta the 28th through the 1st.

TuTu I'm very sorry to hear about your friend Sharon. I'll be praying for her.

I don't know how you were able to sit in the chair all that time at the dentist! I thought my 2 hours were bad but that was nothing compared to yours!

Hiker hope that book wasn't too heavy! I've got a few bigguns too and find them hard to handle especially reading in bed (my fav spot). Couple times I've dropped them right on my face! Can't believe you're a third of the way through! Some books I can't stop reading and stay up way to late!

BB reading about you going to the gym makes me wonder if I'm ever going back to mine. I've only gone 2 times since the advent of Covid. I miss the sauna the most! My BFF in AK has been encouraging me to do circuit training so I might give it a shot. I'll hire a trainer there to help me adjust some of the exercises for my bad shoulder.

See you all tomorrow!

[hi]

Wind warning here and with wind gusts of 60 mph I haven’t ventured outside. All the leaves my neighbor raked are now in my yard as is the old rocker he put out as garbage. lol:

AK—I am sorry your mom has to make so many trips and have tests that don’t sound like fun. Has to be tiring.

I did a load of laundry.

Did my balance and feet exercises.

Worked on Bible study.

Spent the afternoon reading. May finish that long book tonight.

I do have the Illini football game on right now. They aren’t looking good.

Defrosted some spaghetti sauce and will have that over rice pasta along with green beans and tossed salad for my dinner.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back an hour. ⏰
