Welcome to the exercise thread. [woohoo]

Can't believe we are almost halfway through February.

Keep up those exercises as best you can--whether it is cleaning, walking, sewing, physical therapy with resistance bands etc.

Have a great week! [hi]

Watched my church service online and listened to a Christian podcast this morning.

Did a load of laundry.

Did my knee and feet exercises after a 5 minute exercise bike warm up.

Called mom.

Then sat in the recliner and read.

Probably watch the Super Bowl tonight. Always entertaining. [Smile]

I didn’t buy any snacks for the game, though, and am having leftover meatloaf for dinner. Gained 5 pounds over the holidays and would like to lose that extra poundage.

Have a Super evening! [Cool]

Hiker thanks for starting us off on Superbowl Sunday!

From what I read online looks like it was an amazing game and I hate that I missed it. Since I only have streaming couldn't watch the game for free.

I know my family in MO are ecstatic.

Basically was a couch potato day and watched a couple of Russian sci-fi movies. I really can't seem to get motivated some days.

Well hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

Night all!

I vacuumed and did some housework the other day.

I walk around and stand on my feet all day long for work, but I still need to walk. I am waiting for spring. [hi]

I rode the exercise bike 5 minutes. Did my balance and shoulder exercises. Still struggling with balance exercises.

Went to the functional chiropractor. Took away two supplements and added one. Then stopped at another chiropractor on the way home who sells the probiotic I like.

Called my mom.

Worked on Bible study for quite a while.

Chatted with a friend for a long time. Burned up the phone, so to speak! [Big Grin]

Took the garbage bin to the curb.

Filled out the service plan for the caregiving company that grocery shops for my 96 year old mom. We revisit it 4 times a year. They are a Godsend.

Grilling bratwurst for dinner with zucchini and small tossed salad.

Then reading. I am reading a book by J..D. Robb who has a series of mysteries with the same characters. Strong female detectives! The series in set in the future (2060). Her first book of the series was published in 1995 and talks about links (cell phones) and robotics. Fun to see how much has come true.

Have a good evening. [Smile]

I am starting a Bible Study, who knows what will happen.

I made enchiladas for dinner, then I will have leftovers,so I won't have to cook for tomorrow. I get really tired after work.

Beverly, I like having leftovers instead of needing to cook every time.

Today was baking day. I'm finished baking. Still need to put frosting in the cookies & wrap them up.

Daughter is busy putting her cookies on pans to start baking hers.

Hubby and the boys went to Bible Study.

This evening there were 27 eggs.

The young black goat jumped up in the hayrack again tonight. I smacked her rump and she jumped back out!

Have the 3rd load of laundry in the washer.

I'm tired tonight and would be ready to crawl into bed.

Hiker that book series sounds interesting. I gabbed on the phone today to and was so encouraged and got out of my funky mood.

Beverly standing and walking at work counts as exercise. I've got foot issues so walking is kind of out for me right now. Need to hit the gym and use their recumbent bike.

Manna was tickled to read about the goat's high jinks again. My laundry is staying in the dryer over night. I went to Josh's for dinner and was too tired when I came home.

Had a busy day of grocery shopping at 2 stores. Went to the bank and the hardware store and bought some flannel PJs on sale at the mall.

Was going to have salad for lunch but it went bad so had 5 dinner fries and peanuts instead. So much for my healthy lunch.

Had a couple slices of pizza at Josh's. He saved me from eating another can of soup.

Tomorrow is his BDay so I'm picking him up at 5:00 and we're going to eat dinner at his fav Mexican restaurant and then come to my house for presents, cake, ice cream and coffee.

I'm so excited!

See everyone tomorrow!

Beverly, what Bible study are you starting? You are always welcome to join mine. It has an evening session on Thursdays and we meet by zoom. It does have a lot of homework, though.

I, too, cook for two nights in a row. Easier that way for just one person in the house (me).

Today I got up early. Rode the exercise bike 5 minutes and then went to my hearing aid appointment. Really liked the audiologist and we settled on a hearing aid.

My concern is that it will not allow enough air to pass through the ear canal and with my Eustachian tube dysfunction this will rise the ear pressure. We will see. I get the hearing aid next week.

Made calls to insurance to see where I am at with my deductible. They haven’t processed a single claim since the New Year and I had an appointment January 2. I do not like this new insurance policy even though it is still BCBS. The customer service rep wasn’t very helpful with my other questions as he said he couldn’t see the coverage booklet. [shake]

Talked to mom briefly.

Went to physical therapy for shoulder and posture exercises.

Then went to my regular chiropractor for an adjustment.

Am starting a new book today for my library monthly book challenge. This month we have to read a humorous book. I settled on “I Feel Bad About My Neck and other thoughts of being a woman” by Nora Ephron. It is about growing older. I have only read 2 pages and I am already laughing. [Big Grin]

Repeat of last night dinner’s then reading and some TV. I am hooked on “Finding My Roots” on PBS.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I did all my PT and arm routine and did the same today.

Ugh...up early with only 4 1/2 hours of sleep so was a bit brain dead today. Finished up my one load of laundry that I started yesterday. Picked up trash in the yard before the garbage truck came. Of course it was so windy today that I have to pick up trash tomorrow too.

Hung the happy birthday sign along with 4 balloons in the dining room. Laid out a couple of napkins, bowls, cake and ice cream servers and spoons for Josh's birthday.

We had a great Mexican dinner then came here for presents and cake, etc.

Chatted away until after 10:00.

Hiker Nora Ephron the director? Her book sounds fun. Hope the hearing aid works out and the insurance gets straightened out.

Well...just took half a sleeping pill so better sign off. Night friends.

Got up early and went grocery shopping.

Took my BFF to the surgical center for her trigger thumb surgery. Her hubby picked her up when she was done.

Felt lousy and last night had chills and a headache so I went to Urgent Care. Since I have been so off balance and not feeling great for several weeks the NP prescribed augmentin in case it was a sinus infection. After not taking any antibiotics since 2009, I have taken them twice in the last 6 months. [Eek!]

Did my shoulder exercises.

Called mom.

Worked on Bible study.

Took a 90 minute nap.

Filled the safflower feeder and waxed the snow shovel. May get a little bit Friday.

Am cooking a boneless pork chop to have with steamed veggie and tossed salad tonight. Then just chilling in the recliner. Hope I feel better tomorrow.

Happy Valentine’s Day! 🧡

Happy Valentine's day everyone!

Did all my PT and arm workout. Planned on just vegging again but got a call from the temp agency and had to drop off my resume again for a job interview tomorrow at a local electric company.

It's a receptionist/HR assistant temp job for 4-12 weeks. I'm nervous but am relieved to get out of the house. It'll be my first interview since 2013.

Josh called and invited me over for pot pies and that sneaky sneak surprised me with roses and chocolates! I don't know what I've done to deserve such a wonderful nephew but I'm so grateful for him.

So fueled with chocolates tomorrow I shall sally forth!

AK—chocolate is a must to prepare for a job interview! Love your positive attitude.

Had Bible study this morning with my women’s group. I enjoy it so much. Then watched a video related to next week’s study.

Did my balance exercises. Struggled some. Then rode the exercise bike for 6 minutes. Added a minute. [woohoo]

Went to physical therapy at the clinic.

Worked more on my taxes and called my brother for help. He worked in finance for his career and was a big help to me.

Leftovers from last night for dinner and then relaxing with a book and some TV. Still not feeling great but hope the antibiotic will help.

See ya tomorrow!

Did all my PT and arm workout.

Alarm company came out and changed batteries in the window sensors and motion detector. While watching TV tonight the alarm panel was beeping to let me know one of the window sensors has a low battery. Oh joy! At least I know how to change them.

Worked on getting paperwork together for taxes.

My interview today went OK but I was so nervous! I don't understand why I was like that. Guess it's a bit much for me to handle but I'm glad I went.

The job is only for 5 weeks and I should know by tomorrow who they choose.

Hiker glad you got your taxes figured out.

I need to unwind and get some sleep. Night friends!

Did my knee, feet and shoulder exercises.

Listened to National Cathedral morning prayer and a Christian podcast related to stress. I needed that! [Big Grin]

Made a meatloaf and froze it for a later day.

Cleaned a little bit in the kitchen and bathroom.

Called mom.

Snowed most of the day. Texted the guy who shovels for me and never heard back so went out and shoveled. A little over 3 inches but very heavy snow. My shoulder regrets this.

Then took an hour nap. Still have a sinus headache and an earache.

Went back out to put down ice melt as temps are taking a nosedive tonight but couldn’t even get down the drive wearing my yak trax. Already icy.

Gluten free tiny pizza (Lean Cuisine) for dinner with salad that will have carrots, strawberries and some snap peas on it.

Then relaxing with TV and a book as usual.

Hiker I don't know how you managed all that with a sinus headache and earache. Sure hope you didn't overdo it.

I drove a little over an hour this afternoon to have an arterial screening. They did a carotid ultrasound, another ultrasound to check for an abdominal aortic aneurysm, AFIB test and an ankle brachial index for PAD. I'll get my results mailed to me in 7-10 business days.

Came home and had leftovers for dinner and gabbed on the phone with Josh. He sure is missing his sweet little dog Ada. We talked about the rough year we've had and comforted one another as best as we could.

I didn't get to my PT or exercises today but did do EFT tapping for anxiety (Hiker) since I wigged out at my interview. I'm going to do it everyday to help me with stress.

Well it's already 11:30 so will play a game on my tablet and get some shuteye.

Night friends!

AK—I think I have forgotten all the steps of EFT tapping but it was helpful to me when I used it.

Zipped to the credit union this morning. 10 degrees without windchill. Warmer now but wind is picking up.

Did a load of laundry.

Did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Made a nice lunch of salmon, asparagus and baked potato.

Spent a lot of time on the phone. Called CVS. Have been working on getting a prescription for my mom refilled since Thursday. They still don’t have the drug in stock.

Talked to my brother. Then called mom. Then called her life alert company as she either lost the new button necklace or they didn’t include it in their updated materials. Asked them to send it to me instead of her as she misplaces a lot of items.

Chatted with a southern friend. The chatted with my BFF. Think my phone definitely needs a break.

Glad I made meatloaf yesterday and I am not in the mood to cook tonight.

I need to go into my bird count data into Operation FeederWatch.

Just going to read and turn on the Illini-Maryland basketball game on mute.

Hope you had a good Saturday. [Smile]

We got around 2 inches of snow overnight. Most of it melted on the bare south facing slope in the chickens meadow. The walks & roads were bare since they weren't cold ahead of the snow.

Today we went through some boxes from the attic. Found stuff to throw away... old sleeping bags, etc.

Found the childrens stuffed animals. Boxed each ones up in their own box to go through and save or pitch as they desire.

Got 25 eggs this evening.

Hubby and the boys are discussing building a greenhouse and a shop. Trying to figure out the most cost effective way to build.

Hoping to talk with my sil on the phone tomorrow evening after her company goes home again.

Supper was quick pizza, using left over homemade bread, pizza sauce, bacon & shredded cheese. The boys each ate two then asked if they can have another. So next time I should make a few more. They each had 3!

Need to come up with something for the crockpot for tomorrow's lunch. Any ideas??

Manna—loaded potato soup, pesto mozzarella chicken pasta, beef stroganoff, chili Mac cheese

Bet you could find a lot on the internet.

I used to slow cook chicken with barbecue sauce or chicken with white wine.

Potato soup sounds good! I've got a crockpot cookbook but don't use it too often since it's just me. Quick easy meal is cream of mushroom soup and chicken and we put ours on rice but noodles would work too.

Did all my PT and arm workout this morning. Also did one load of laundry and cleaned the bathroom.

Had lovely chats with friends today that really perked me up!

Josh came for dinner so I made broccoli, bacon and onion salad with a soy sauce/mayo dressing topped with sunflower seeds. Made one of his favorite dinners, pepper steak on top of brown rice. Ice cream and coffee afterwards and of course another scary movie.

Wasn't feeling well this morning and might have a sinus infection like Hiker. I might end up going to the walk in clinic.

Hope you all stay warm!
