as a chocolate lab lover, well, really all doggies and kitties, i think michael vick should have his but thrown in jail for about five years, loose his big ole mansion and all his mega buck contracts.

you animal lovers need to unite!!!

have you seen the pictures of what they did to those poor little animals?

anybody who treats one of God's creatures this way, needs to be eliminated.......

go green peace and all that stuff.....

save the polar bears...

It is unfortunate that Louisiana has just outlawed cock fighting.

What year is this?

Isn't Michael V from here? Not much of a recommendation for this state.

I have to say that when I was doing contract work for the state of La.

As a Speech Therapist for birth to three year olds, I went to some pretty odd places.

One, not too far from where I live, was a ramshackle house full of roaches/filth, etc.

They had about 8 pittbulls chained up in the back yard.

I knew why they had the dogs.

I saw them training them in the street pulling rail road ties to strenthen them.

They always said "boar hunting".

I never had any evidence until the day I showed up and found a caged racoon on the front porch.

Thank God no one was home.

I got into my car. Drove away. Called 911 and Animal services asap.

Next visit, dogs were gone, racoon was gone.

There is cultural acceptance, primarily by the African-American culture

In Louisiana of this gruesome sport. It is also associated with gangs/drugs/etc.

Just look at the murder rate for NO.

Unfortunately, it is mostly black against black violence.

This vicious cycle of violence against animals and each other for some reason

Seems to perpetuate in the deep south.

I think they should make an example of him and give him the max.

Maybe then all the young, black men who "worship" him,

Will learn a valuable lesson.
