I'm just starting this process and was wondering how long I was going to feel this bad?

The migraines 24/7, body hurting, Not wanting to get out of bed. I wish it would of been caught sooner. They are thinking maybe 6 yrs ago for me [cussing]

Does that mean it could be a longer time to get better [confused]

It varies from person to person ... I'd repost this in medical ... not many come to off topic and this question is definitely on topic. [Smile]

I've had it for 35 years and am significantly better with 10 months of treatment. Not so much pain.

Six years? Piece of cake!! WEll, maybe!! [Big Grin]

It may take you a year or two to get this to turn around. Do everything in your power to speed the process.

eat well, avoid alcohol, tobacco, chemicals, etc

I was sick at least 10 years before diagnosis. Probably more.

Everyone's different, but I began to see a slight improvement after 9 months of antibiotics. Then more improvement when I began treating co-infections.

Now, I've been in treatment for about 2.5 years. I'm working fulltime and at about 80% of capacity. I have very few "bad" days anymore but still some pesky symptoms.

As Tu said, your lifestyle can really affect your healing. Plus your attitude. Stay hopeful!

You could be in for a long ordeal! I'm sorry to hear you didn't catch it sooner. A huge factor is possible "co-infections" you have. Do you have any idea where you picked it up? You're definitely going to want to get a "lyme-literate" doctor. They should give you i.v. antibiotics, if you can swing it. As I noticed someone said, there is a huge range of symptoms possible from "lyme etc". Here's my experience: http://dave.clarityconnect.com/LymeDiseaseSUCKS.html
