Congress gives dentists an earful on mercury.

The link bellow will take you to an actual silver dental amalgam label.

I noticed on that label that there was a skull and cross bones on it with the word POISON written underneath.

And on that label it actually warns the dentist that by placing this amalgam into a patient you will increase the level of mercury in that patient's body.

I am glad they got an earful because I have a mouthful of mercury.

I wish they would make them remove it for free and carefully and correctly for all of us with amalgams. It seems only fair.

They SHOULD make them remove them for free!! Mine are out.

I think this should be posted in Medical. Many of us have dealt with mercury poisoning.

From my understanding, most dentists won't take this seriously until the Dental Association were to come out with this warning.

From the article:

" . . . Mercury makes up as much as 54% of silver fillings, also called dental amalgam. . . . "

Ohhh, I had no idea it was that much !

I saw an oral surgeon the other day who told me when were were younger our dentists did not do us any favors. He has had all of his
amalgam fillings taken out.

He told me normal root canals are not good for you either because they use bleach in your mouth.
