Around 5 pm, I started thinking about getting myself and Rosie out.
I was getting cabin fever.
I was trying to decide whether to take the power chair or the car.
I was very weak and kind of shaky.
I looked at the outdoor thermometer. 98 degrees in the shade.
OK. Car it is. Too hot out for the power chair.
As I looked out the window, I could see wind kicking up.
I went down the hall in my power chair of the apartment complex I live in.
I then parked the chair and went out the side door to my car which is parked right outside.
It was raining by then.
I am glad I decided to take the car.
As I am driving out the parking lot of the apartment complex it starts to hail and rain.
The hail was large and making lots of noise as it hit the car.
It all wasn't not white either but black as if it were rocks.
It also sounded like rocks as it hit the car.
I pulled up to the parking lot of the post office and just sat there and watched.
I assumed this would not last long. But, it kept coming down.
So, I went inside. Darn. No mail.
Then I drove to a spot I can look over the city past the manmade lake.
The white goose and her two babies were crossing the road.
The two Canadian Geese that stayed for the summer where also crossing the road.
A duck with a bad foot was hopping across the road.
I also cleaned the under carriage of the car as I went through the flooded street.
When I got to the look out, it was no longer raining.
I let Rosie out to toilet. She had a great time, but it was short.
She did not want to be in the rain long. This was good.
The computer was shut down when I got home.
I do not recall shutting it down. I have a surge protector on it and it still looks good. I think.
I checked the outdoor thermometer. It now reads 77 degrees.
All within about 10 to 15 min.
I needed some fun today.
That was fun. Why you ask. I don't know. I guess I am easily amused.
It also was lightening out while the hail and rain were coming down.
I have wondered when I am out in the power chair why the rain drops feel like needles at times and why they just seem like rain other times when it hits my skin.
Now, I am wondering if it has to do with the tempature of the rain. Perhaps there is a between rain and hail.
Well, thanks for reading about my afternoon outing.

thanks for sharing your walk/outing with us. I really do miss the monsoon season. It was almost reliable.
Just about the time you get tired of the heat, 1 or 2pm the rain would come along and give you some relief.

That is what I heard it use to be like for years from those who grew up here.
But, it is a treat now when we get it.
Some say it is due to all the trees that were cut down in order to build homes and businesses here.
