I'm sure there is no help here, but I thought I would ask in case anyone had an idea I hadn't thought about.
I am meeting with a doctor to talk about In-vitro fertilization this month. His office quoted me about $12,000.00.
I have insurance through my husbands work, but they do not cover this. I thought about a different policy but upon researching this I was told that could be considered a pre-existing condition and no insurance company would offer me a policy for this coverage. I don't get why if they have some agreement with the doctor for a discounted price, and also require me to join for 2 or more years with definitive monthly payments.
I don't know. Our insurance will cover vasectomies .
Any thoughts to save even a little capital, especially if the outcome is but a few percent in my favor?
.......don't include not doing it , that doesn't count.

I've never heard of any type of financial aid for infertility. Good luck!

When I was pregnant with my son I was threatening miscarriage. Something they saw on the ultrasound prompted them to suggest heparin shots.
I have taken baby aspirin.
My problem at this point is that I am 43. I suspect my issues are trifold and really need reproductive medicine to handhold the process. I've had a number of miscarriages and a full molar pregnancy 8 months ago.
My husband is ready for a vasectomy. I've been on Clomid for several months as well.
I don't know Lymetoo, but I really don't have a man that's willing to make another try in the face of a new idea, and the negative causes are stacking up against me. Old ovums to start with.
I feel like I should've considered this years ago when told to, but I was too hopeful that the little things would fix it. Not to say that you're wrong. Perhaps if I had that suggestion several years ago. Someone also recommended a few month course of an antibiotic as an infertility fix.
I think this is the ultimate way to poop or get off the pot, so to speak. I just can't afford it, especially dealing with the cost of TBD's and my son.
I have never heard of it either joalo, but we all deal laboriously with medical issues and insurance, or lack of, on this site, and I thought I might ask.

Wow thats cheap. My Ex-sister in law spent over
20, Grand for number 2. When they quit trying IT
happened. 3 was free. Good Luck, that was 20 years ago so the price has come down.

Yeah, I thought it cost way more too. But either way, I wouldn't be able to afford $1,000 at this point. But.. not something I have to worry about since I have no female organs anyway!
Just thought I'd suggest the heparin because it's not that expensive.

Yes, Pinelady that is on the cheap side because that is for one cycle.
If it doesn't take then it's about 3-4 k for another try if I have frozen embryos...I think. If not I start again and who knows what that would be.
It won't get that far though. I'll go only so far before I say enough.
Funny Lymetoo, but having no female organs left at this point would be probably better for me then having dysfunctional ones, and the expectations that probably will only yield trouble. At very best disappointment and poverty.
