Went down to SLC this past week for a CPAP checkup and Rheumotology followup. Everything looks good so far.

Got a new pair of glasses ordered (through the VA) and ordered my medical records for 2010 and 2011 ordered. 400 pages worth! They will mail them to me.

At the Rheumotology clinic I was weighed (I am heavy 300+) but the nurse doing the check in said the last entry had me at 181! I haven't weighed that little since 1970!

I know that there is another person with the same last name and the same last 4 social security numbers (VA id.) and almost every time they ask for my first name.

So Silver and I wonder, what will my records reveal? Will there be some of his reports mingled with mine and is that why we have been denied an increase in my VA disability? Inquiring minds want to know.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised...

There were two people - me included - with the same name at the same dr.

i got a message on my phone telling me about my mothers blood work. She had been dead for years.

just last week my dr was talking to me about my blood work from the last week. I kept saying I didn't have blood work last week. Finally I stopped "arguing" with him. He says "oh, those are not your tests"

AAARRRGGGHHH....

Just to add to the confusion I stopped by one of the offices at the VA hospital last visit for a letter and when I got home I looked at it.

Now I watched the person enter my info and then print it out and give it to me. KEY NOTE: there was no other printing happening at that printer other than my info.

Yesterday I chanced to look at and it had the correct diagnosis (permission for non-VA PT at a place of my choice) but the birth date was off by over 10 years and it had the wrong name and address!

Our names aren't even close and neither is the last 4 of our social security numbers!

I called the person who had entered the info and naturally they were horrified (hello confidentiality!) and asked me to tear it up immediately and they would send me a new letter.

Then they went into their computer to get the info/note from the PT department. PT had called me specifically to tell me they would outsource my PT and make a note for the non VA office.

There was nothing from PT for non VA since 2010! Is it any wonder I keep getting declined for compensation?

Theoretically I am getting my records sometime in the next couple days so I can verify things. It seems like there is a good possibility that there will be errors and I will have to fight this one.

Keep Silver and I in mind because this is frustrating and aggravating.

yeah bet so. One time the cops showed up at our neighbors asking for my husband while we were at work. Turned out there was a guy in Dallas with a rap sheet a mile long. They finally believed our neighbor but he said it took several hours
To convince them.
