I have no idea if this is true or not as it is a personal story. However, that hospital doesn’t get glowing reviews on the internet.

I am not a fan of remdesivir and firmly believe the patient can say “no” to the drug. Every patient needs an advocate to help guide them, too, so their wishes are known.

I wonder if this man had any power of attorney for healthcare (yes, I know his wife was there). Does he have any written instructions on file because I sure do.

Also, his Covid must have been bad for him to go to the hospital in the first place.

But I know weird things can happen.

Remember .. the family was not allowed to be with their loved ones. You can't advocate very well from home.

I know of many others who were forced into things. Our own hospital here got into trouble for putting people on ventilators before even treating them. They were actually fined for it.

And that is why I have an emergency folder on my fridge with medical info, a copy of my power of attorney and my wishes. I state no ventilator if Covid on my forms. That goes with me to the hospital and my POA knows to bring it if necessary.

I know of people who had "NO Ventilator" on their chest and they did it anyway.
