The characteristic lost post and access instability seems to be occuring again. It might be time for the administrators to rescan the data base for errors.

Today is the first day that everything seems to be working ok on this site. The last few days it was soooooo slow or down completely.

Sometimes while moderators are cleaning things up this happens. They seemed to be knee deep in stuff.

Today is the first time in ages that everything is working well for me. Yesterday things were very slow but today everything is fine.

The probem occured more in the past prior to being usgraded a few years back. It woudl occur when it neared the 100K message condition. Before the crash the system used to loose new posts and then have soem latency issues when refreshing...a few days later it would crash.

The patern was diagnostic to a future failure. Just wanted the administrators to know that the same symptoms were occuring... it might be of some diagnostic use to them or it might not mean anything.

I had a page not found error right after I sent my previous post.

I sent a message to the webmaster with a link to this thread.

There is a link you can click on to 'delete cookies' from here if you are having problems with login.

I think I see it when you check your private messages.

It is located in the upper right corner of the page.

Hope ths helps!

I rebuilt the indexes and post histories last night around 1AM. Let me know if you still see strange activity.

Note that we're also about to upgrade the UBB forum software from 6.5.0 to 6.7.0 as a short-term measure, and then up to the new UBB.Threads 7.x software sometime after that.

Regards,
-Tom
